It had been about a few minutes since the time Linedwell woke up from his unconscious state of rest. Taking a peek at the time, he found himself upset that more time had passed then he had necessarily wanted to allow. He made a request that he'd get a wake-up call on the Den Den Mushi in his room, but apparently they hadn't been competent enough to do it.

Linedwell found his way out of bed, pressing his hand down on the Den Den Mushi to playback calls while he made his way to the sink and started to wash up. Though still groggy, he had managed to make out the fact that it seemed the Inn had indeed called him...a multitude of times, but it seemed the liquor he downed the night before had more of an effect than he thought. With a shrug, Linedwell continued getting dressed before departing from the inn. He needed to find something to do in this new town he'd decided to check out for a bit. He wasn't usually for vacationing - something that usually took him away from his focus on training, but Mr. Miyagi had suggested that Linedwell get some time away from the dojo. Linedwell wasn't exactly certain if Mr. Miyagi wanted Linedwell go get some time for himself and relax, or if the old man was just tired of Linedwell's presence in the dojo all day.

With a short sigh, Linedwell decided to put this all behind him at the moment and continue getting dressed. He'd go do some exploring around this city and see what this place had to offer.

Isaac Taylor
An unnamed island, not far from the harbor at Karate Island, certainly not out of the view of it, that was where Isaac Taylor, quite possibly the only Skypiean in South Blue, was currently wandering the streets of. It had not taken him long at all to travel there. He had felt himself grow in the past few weeks, getting stronger, and he could now fly for almost double the length of time that he had previously been able to fly. Using this newfound strength, he had made his way across the ocean to the new island, one which he had not seen before, and one in which he did not know the name of. Although, seeing as he wasn't much of a map-reader or navigator, it really made no difference to him the name of a place. The name of his own village, back up in the skies of Skypiea, it was slowly fading from his memory. He had left that all behind him now, he was not the same boy who had been kidnapped and brought down to be a slave. He was much more than that now. He was very glad that his wings had been strong enough to carry him to the island as, if they had been too weak and unable, he would've fallen into the water which, being a Devil Fruit eater, would have meant instantly dropping to the bottom of the sea and drowning, the universal problem for all Devil Fruit eaters. It would have been a deal breaker had it applied to flight, but luckily, having never lived near the Blue Sea during his childhood, Isaac didn't know how to swim anyway, so it made no difference to him.

Wandering around the island, Isaac found the center of the large town located pretty much all over the island, was a giant clocktower, easily three times the size of any other building on the island and, very neatly tucked away in one corner of the colossal structure, was a quaint little cafe in which Isaac now found himself, having ordered a hot drink to give himself a little spring in his step. He had heard of the Blue Sea dwellers calling it 'coffee', and he'd decided to give it a try, get his adrenaline pumping a little bit, as he sipped the drink, on a table sitting facing the square in which the tower sat, and being able to see everything that was going on. At his side, his munitions: Tweedledum, Tweedledee and his bullets.

Sever let out a discontented sigh after taking a bite from the breakfast his hotel's room service had provided. The half eaten plate lay out in front of him on the table, now unwanted and left to sit. He was seated in a set of gray silk pajamas at the table out on his hotel room's balcony, and there was no one to hear his expression of dissatisfaction. Looking out at the town below him, Sever stirred a bit of sugar into a cup of iced tea that was at least more palatable than the meager meal he had received. He had only just arrived in South Blue after leaving his businesses in North Blue for his subordinates to attend, and even now he missed the small and familiar comforts of that loathsome Lvneel Kingdom. The manor he had lived in for the past decade, all of his bumbling subordinates, and even some of his own rivals, thinking of them left him in an odd melancholy, and even though he had only just left he still thought often of returning. Still, after spending thirty four years of his life on the same island, a change of scenery had certainly been in order, and while the food was a bit of a letdown so far, the view was certainly appealing; what with the little beli signs popping up everywhere in Sever's vision.

Having finished with his breakfast, Sever headed back into his room where he removed his bed clothes and adorned his usual attire of an inky black suit and a red tie. After dressing himself and fastening his sword to his belt, he set off out of his room and out into the hallway of his hotel. There were a few passersby who attempted to greet him, but he merely brushed them off and headed on his way. He had no time to converse over inane matters, his thoughts were concerned with things of more importance. His main plans today were to investigate the current state of affairs with the drug trade in this town, and whether there were any other prominent swindlers performing operations. It wouldn't do for him to make enemies this early on in his attempt to start up a business, and it was important to know who to stay far away from for the time being. Information was the most powerful thing there was, aside from money of course, and it would be the first thing he needed to start working in this town. As Sever walked out of the hotel, his purpose set in his mind, but still formulating which avenues to take to carry it out, he started making his way down the street.

While making his way through the town, his goal had been to search for a few shops and maybe even a smith or two and inspect their work when it came to weaponry and other equipment, yet the growl of his stomach was becoming something he simply couldn't ignore. Walking a few more blocks he came upon a cafe by the name of "Las Noches". Not being able to ignore the growling of his stomach, Linedwell made his way inside of the cafe and took a seat at one of the tables in the back. After taking a seat, a woman silently made her way towards the table and placed a menu on the table. Looking up at her for a second, Linedwell noticed her name tag read "Tier". It was a name that he hadn't heard before, and he could almost imagine that she probably had the last name of "Harribel" or something weird like that. As he thought this, the woman looked at him with a glare and then walked off just as silently as she approached.

"Okay then..."

Linedwell then redirected his eyes downwards and began to read through the menu.

Usually when it came to food, Linedwell never had a problem with deciding on something and moving on. Though, in this café, it seemed this wouldn't be the case. There were so many different types of dishes in this establishment that he hadn't tried, or even heard of, and each one of them sounded delicious. In spite of how delicious they sounded, being indecisive was something that he hated. After a few more moments of reading the same descriptions, he finally seemed to have settled on something to order. Feeling as though he had been triumphant and conquered this menu, Linedwell looked up in search of the waitress only to see her greeting a new arrival inside of the café.

Sitting in the 'Las Noches' cafe, a strange name for a cafe if Isaac was to be plain but, then again, he was on a new island, and this new island would no doubt, as every island did, come with its own unique and very strange customs. After all, when Isaac had first travelled down to the Blue Sea, his first encounter with an island had been the Orange Town in East Blue, an island which had been ransacked and rebuilt so much that it had become a norm for the people there, and the Marines had done away with it and help prevent any future attacks, but it was still a place where you could purchase or 'acquire', as the phrase used to go, all things of all sizes and all colors. Unfortunately for Isaac, this also meant slavery was not abolished in this part of the world, which was the only reason he had been brought there in the first palce, to be sold as a slave to the highest bidder.

Even Karate Island had its customs. In fact, it was full of them, from the people being either farmers or fighters, to the plainsfolk, and even the multitude of dojos in the towns. There were more martial artists on that island than bloody buildings on this one, so Isaac couldn't really complain when people had strange names or called places strange names. It was a normal thing for them, just like Skypiean's having wings was normal, but to these people, Isaac would be a freak. Just like that man, that strange swordsman, must've thought of him. A freak of nature with his wings, something to be feared as a beast, not respected as a human being. Isaac thought of the man, of his combat prowess in dealing with the witch, and how he had thrown his sword at Isaac in an attempt, a poor attempt honestly, to quickly kill off the young Skypiean, who had been in the air at this point, in his home ground so to speak. That man, with his jet black hair, piercing yellow eyes, and that bloody great big sword of hi-

"You've got to be fucking kidding me."

Isaac got some odd looks from people as he voiced his words a lot louder than originally anticipated, resulting in some parents giving him the death stare as they covered their laughing children's ears. Isaac just hoped that the swordsman would not be in range to hear him, which seemed extremely unlikely, as he was sitting at the table directly across from Isaac's.

Sever was still feeling a bit groggy after only eating half of his breakfast, and he let out a long yawn as he continued down the street. Moving a bit further away from his hotel, he noticed a small cafe that seemed to be giving off a rather pleasant aroma. The smell of roasting coffee beans and sweet cream invaded Sever's nostrils and he drew closer and closer to the cafe. He thought that perhaps a cup of coffee might help him wake up a bit so that his mind might be given a bit of a kick start. As of now, his thoughts were rather jumbled and he was having some difficulty working out any semblance of a plan. Surely it could only be beneficial to ingest a bit of caffeine before continuing on the day. So, with that thought in mind he wandered into "Las Noches" and made a quick examination of the layout. It was a quaint little establishment with pleasant sounding staff and not many stand out patrons.

Looking around, he noticed that there was a younger looking black haired man who carried a sword, and a red haired one who seemed to be rather agitated with something. Hearing his lamentations, Sever felt comforted that he was certainly having a better day than that gentleman, despite his sub par breakfast. He had a seat at a table near the red haired man, rather curious as to what was bothering him, and waited for a waitress to arrive. It wasn't long before a young woman approached him and started to hand him a menu. Sever put his hand up to stop her however, and looked her in the eye with a blank expression on his face. "One coffee, black." He said abruptly, waiting for her to leave. She looked rather startled for a moment by Sever's brevity, but quickly took the menu back and looked down at him with a smile. "Right away, sir." She said, before turning off and heading back behind the counter to fetch his coffee. A look of disgust momentarily appeared over Sever's face after she walked away, and he looked back towards the window, waiting for his coffee to return. He hated dealing with wait staff, and he was already certain that this place could offer him nothing that would satisfy his palate. He could only hope that after he had his coffee, his day would be more successful than his morning had been thus far.

Linedwell's attention within the cafe had been almost entirely wrapped up in the menu. This island in particular came off as completely foreign to him. He'd never seen one such as this, but he merely chalked it up to not being as traveled as many others. There was still so much of this world that he needed to explore, and happening upon this island merely reinforced this ideal. Even though he'd initially though he'd conquered the menu and found whatever it was that he wanted to order, the newness of it all caught him off guard and he found himself intrigued by the other multiple descriptions on the menu. Because of this distraction, he hadn't noticed the two other males within the cafe - or even the winged male he'd met previously and his outburst. His attention had also been so taken in by this menu, that he also hadn't noticed the attractive female that decided to take a seat next to him until she cleared her throat. It had been an obvious attempt to gain his attention, and given her proximity to Linedwell it managed to break him out of the trance had put him in.

Linedwell's eyes glanced over into the woman's direction, and as they did so the woman began to speak in a sultry tone.

"I've never seen you around here before. You new here?"

"...Obviously."

One thing that Linedwell always hated were obvious questions. She'd already come to the conclusion that he was new to this area. Asking Linedwell whether or not he was would have made little difference to her, as she would have simply believed he was lying if he said he wasn't. All in all, she was attempting to break the ice between them and failing miserably. Her once confident look shifted into a visibly flustered one momentarily before she continued on with her conversation.

"Well, then...where are you from? It's not often I get to see many cute guys around here."

As she said this, her hand fell down to rest atop Linedwell's - something that caused him to wonder why she felt as though she had the right to place a hand on him. Even if her attempt on her part to flirt, Linedwell had killed people actions less than this. The temptation to put her back in her place was there, yet, Linedwell decided to let this transgression go. After all, Linedwell was a guest on this island and maybe there were customs here that he just wasn't aware of. Maybe those customs included placing hands on strangers that you barely knew.

"Well, like we've already discussed, I'm not from here. That should narrow things down for you."

The woman let out a laugh as she was obviously under the impression that Linedwell was currently joking around with her when she couldn't have been further from the truth. Yet, as she laughed, Linedwell could also hear what sounded like some sort of commotion occurring outside of the cafe. If he'd managed to look outside of the windows, he would have noticed the multiple people running away from something, but his attention was currently being sapped by the woman next to him.

"You're funny...Y'know, I'm sure we could go have some fun somewhere else. You interes-"

Before she could finish her sentence, she was cut off by what was happening outside of the cafe, just as Linedwell had been. There were now what appeared to be multiple huge figures standing outside of the cafe, all lined up in front of the windows. Given their stature, they almost completely blocked out any of the natural light coming in from outside. Linedwell wasn't sure what was going on, but there appeared to be something menancing concerning what was happening - even the woman next to him seemed to know that something wasn't quite right.

"What's going on?"

She stood as she said this, almost as if she were going to walk out there and ask what was going on. When she prepared to take a step forward, it was obvious that this would be her intent.

"No, wait!"

Before Linedwell could extend his hand out to pull her back down in her seat, the woman's head burst in front of him. Blood and brain matter splashed everywhere while the skull fragments shot across the room like shrapnel. The blood and brain managed to land color some of Linedwell's clothing, but luckily Linedwell had been able to avoid damage from the shrapnel. Acting quickly afterward, Linedwell quickly dived to the floor while flipping one of the square tables down to the ground along with him to help shield him from the gunfire that was now riddling the cafe.

Linedwell could hear the gunshots, the shattering of glass, and the screams of the patrons as they were each being gunned down one by one by these assassins. For the first time in a long time, Linedwell could feel the cold chill of an emotion known as fear. Linedwell had never been a stranger to violence, but violence of this scale was something he'd never seen before. Innocents being shot down and killed in cold blood for no discernible reason. There was a momentary thought that these people were here for him, but he knew that even the Marines wouldn't kill so many civilians just to capture one man...no, this had to be something else entirely.

With the thought that this could potentially be his fault out of his mind, Linedwell's eyes began to scan the area for a way out of this cafe. With his position low to the ground, he knew that if he were to raise up by too much he'd likely find himself the victim of a gunshot wound - and even as fast as Linedwell prided himself on being, there was no way at his current level he'd be able to keep up with the speed of a bullet. The only chance that Linedwell had right now was to simply escape the cafe and hopefully make his way behind these attackers.

After scanning the area for a bit, Linedwell noticed an area in the cafe that seemed to lead to a back exit. After taking a deep breath, Linedwell began to crawl as quickly as possible towards the exit, making sure to crawl only in areas that provided cover. He didn't want to make himself a target for any of the shooters should they happen to see a man crawling across the floor. It was obvious their goal was to kill any and everyone they could, and if they didn't know he was still alive it was more likely that he'd be able to get out of this place alive.

Once he reached the back exit, Linedwell quickly gave himself an inspection. He hoped he hadn't been injured and as a result of the adrenaline that he just hadn't noticed the injury yet. With the impromptu checkup completed and it being confirmed that he hadn't been injured, Linedwell began to make his way around the back as quietly as he could. Like he'd heard before, there seemed to be just as much commotion in the streets as there was in the cafe. He could see glimpses of what appeared to be Fishmen - a sight that wasn't exactly common in the Blues, and he could also see occasional glimpses of men dressed in Marine attire and they didn't exactly appear to be on friendly terms.

"What the hell is going on...?"

As if some Gods were actually looking out for him, it seemed the swordsman did not in fact hear Isaac, he seemed too enthralled in what looked like the menu of the cafe, which seemed ironic, considering, out of the two of them, the Skypiean was the bigger foreigner to this Island, but it wasn't long until Isaac saw a woman sit down in front of the swordsman, and they began to chat, Isaac couldn't hear the words, but he could imagine the way it was going, this poor woman trying to flirt, and the man ignoring all attempts and making her feel terrible about it. Isaac, despite not even knowing his name, did actually understand the guy not too terribly. It wasn't a 'we have so much in common' kind of thing, but at the very least, Isaac knew what he was like, and he knew how to react, and not react, when in his presence, something this woman had clearly not worked out yet, however that was to be the least of her problems.

The shadows at the windows, Isaac saw them too, after hearing everything going on outside, giant men shaped beings, but not men, or giants: Fishmen. Isaac had heard of them only briefly, and had honestly doubted their existence, but here they were, shadows of great men. The woman in front of the swordsman got up and, despite the mans attempts to pull her back down, he wasn't quick enough. Isaac was able to see the bullet as it moved, and everything went in slow motion as he saw it pentrate her skull, as her mouth opened wide in shock, and then, boom. Her entire head shot out blood everywhere. It was not a nice thing to see for the people of the island. And so, Isaac followed the swordsman outside, keeping low so as not to share the woman's fate, until he saw the carnage outside, as Marines and Fishmen were fighting, dying, killing, with the townspeople stuck right smack dab in the center. Isaac looked to the swordsman, as he came up behind him. he knew what this man enjoyed more than anything, and that was using that big sword of his. And so, Isaac spoke, because somebody had to do something about this, otherwise the entire island was going to burn, and the young Skypiean had grown fond of this quaint cafe.

"Fishmen or Marines? Which do you want to exterminate?"

Isaac wasn't one for needless violence, but if it took needless violence to stop needless violence, then he was going to be doing a lot of praying tonight.

Sever was still gazing out the window while waiting for his coffee to return when he heard shouting from outside the cafe. He tried to move his head to different angles in an attempt to get a glimpse as to what the reason was, but he was unable to due to where he was seated. A moment later though, he saw several hulking figures moving towards them down the street, and while Sever couldn't make out any features, he could see from this distance that many of them were holding firearms of some sort. Quickly standing up, Sever started walking away from the window and seated himself at another table in the far back corner where he felt he'd be far safer than his earlier position. A moment later, his foresight paid off as he noticed those same figures standing at the window. Some foolish woman stood up and gawked at the figures before her head burst into pieces from the force of the attacker's ammunition. Sever grimaced at the gruesomeness of the sight, but not overly so; only to the degree one might look at a squashed bug or a piece of road kill on the road. Still, the image was enough to make Sever realize the severity of the situation, and he quickly scanned the building for an avenue of escape. He noticed the dark haired man from earlier crawling towards the back of the bar, and by tracing his line of vision Sever saw that there was a back exit in the small cafe.

Thinking quickly, Sever stood up and dove behind the bar, skidding along the floor and scuffling up his suit, much to his dismay. He watched the dark haired man, and the red haired man from earlier escape in the panic, and thinking that probably the best course of action he quickly and quietly followed them out. They exited out into an alleyway, and when Sever looked at both exits to the corridor he could see bullets zooming past, and the occasional Marine force rushing through. There was also an abundance of fish men in the area, something that Sever thought was incredibly peculiar. He'd only seen one or two fish men in his entire life, and now it seemed that tens or dozens were invading the city. His mind connected the information and he realized that the attackers at the window were likely fish men as well.

Sever heard the dark haired man question exactly what was going on, and he had to wonder the same. He'd never experienced anything of the sort, and his head was reeling for an answer on what to do. As he thought, the red haired man posed a simple question, whether to exterminate the marines or the fish men. Without thinking, and without introducing himself, Sever answered with the most natural answer that came to mind. "Whichever results in the most profit, of course." He said, his wits returning to him somewhat, but his mind still in somewhat of a panic. Still, his own words assured him, and he began to think more of how to profit from this situation than how to get out of it. Looking over to the two men, and realizing that he'd now interjected himself into the conversation, he spoke again. "Every disaster is an opportunity you must seize, after all. Am I right?" He asked with a wicked smile, hoping that these two might have similar sensibilities to himself. Sever could only assume as much of at least the red haired man, considering he'd asked the question of who to attack, and the marines had certainly been an option given.

Linedwell hadn't noticed during all the mayhem that two other individuals had escaped behind him out of the cafe, but only realized this as he heard a voice behind him through all the screams and gunshots. The voice asked which he'd like to exterminate; the fishmen or the Marines. For a second, Linedwell was at a loss. Who was this guy? Whoever it was, he had an overly familiar tone when speaking to him. It wasn't until Linedwell diverted his gaze from the fighting in front of him to his right in order to look at the speaker did he realize he knew this man.

Well, "knew" was a strong word. If Linedwell remembered correctly, he met this man during an encounter while attempting to look for skeletons that were plaguing Karate Island. Sadly, he left before the male could ever full introduce himself. Linedwell wasn't exactly sure why this man seemed to keep bumping into him, but Linedwell was aware that this man did at least hold some prowess when it came to combat. With the male's question still in mind, Linedwell's hand fell to his hilt, and his eyes closed. As his hand reached his hilt, green flames began to emanate from the hilt as well as the sheathe, yet, these flames didn't give off any heat whatsoever - rather, they gave off a chill.

Once Linedwell's eyes opened, his Satori technique was now in use. It had been a while since he used it last, but given the situation now he'd need to be as fast as possible to keep up with the gun fire. While he had been meditating, he had also heard the words of yet another man behind them. The tone in which he spoke seemed to be almost relaxed, as even the mere mention of profit in a situation such as this one spoke volumes about his personality. His sentiments though were something that Linedwell could agree completely with. As of this moment, Linedwell knew that he could never side with the Marines in this conflict - given the fact he had been on the run from them for a while now, attempting to keep the fact he was still alive a secret from them this entire time. If he was to reveal himself to be alive, he'd likely be targeted as well. The Marines in this ocean would know who he was. Siding with the fishmen was another option, but it was one that Linedwell would never be able to live with. These Fishmen did just attempt to kill him, and siding with a group that almost costed him his life would be a large hit to his pride.

"We kill them all."

With that said, Linedwell leapt upwards, grabbing hold of the railing to the balcony above where the exit into the alleyway was and began to make his way atop the building. Once on the top, he was able to look downwards and see what was going on below. Like they'd seen before, the Fishmen and Marines seemed to be battling one another, but so far the battle seemed to be evenly matched between the two sides, as they had yet to be a causality on both sides - the only people who seemed to be dying were the civilians.

Pushing off with his right foot, Linedwell launched himself off of the top of the building and towards one of the crowds of Marines and Fishmen, his hand on the hilt of his blade. In one swift motion, Treachery was drawn from its sheathe and cut the air in a diagonal motion before being placed back within its scabbard. The diagonal slice formed into an attack of compressed air and slammed into the group of Fishmen and Marines, bisecting about six enemies.

The force of Linedwell's attack was enough push Linedwell back a bit, allowing him to combat his falling motion and slow down, which gave him the ability to land safely - though, in this battlefield "safe" was a relative term.

It seemed, as the carnage continued, that Isaac wasn't the only one who was attempting to be stealthy in leaving the building, as a man from behind him answered his question, requesting to go for whichever brought the most profit, a disgusting remark in Isaac's opinion who, in his younger years, had himself been sold and beaten for the 'profit' of non-winged human beings. Isaac only wished to end the conflict and save the people of this island and, right now, both the marines and the Fishmen were causing death in their path, however no casualties had yet to have been made on either side. The only people to die were the civilians, by both sides, and Isaac was not going to let that continue. If the Marines and Fishmen were willing to take a life, then they would also be willing to have theirs be taken, something Isaac was going to do right now. He took out his pistols and watched the carnage for a moment, as the swordsman drew his sword, echoing Isaac's plan: they were all going to die. After this, the man did some very impressive acrobatics to get up onto the rooftops of buildings. Isaac just smiled a bit, before taking his shirt off and hanging it on a segment of the building which had jutted out. With this, he flew into the air, and began to use his pistols, as he wasn't that high at all, merely about 10m in the air, allowing him to fire off two of his bullets in the right hand at the first two Fishmen he saw, aimed directly for their heads, killing them instantly with the added force of gravity acting on it, before flying closer towards a group of Marines, hovering around 7m from the ground, and then firing two shots from the pistol on his left hand, the first bullet soaring as the others did and killing a soldier through the skull. However, he decided to do something a little fancier with his next shot. He fired his second shot through the neck of one the soldiers, the bullet meeting next to no resitance and sailing through, before it bounced off the wall behind the group, changing its course to hit another Marine just below his chin. And in one fell swoop, five enemies were down, but he wasn't done there. Using a fun ability, he reloaded one of his pistols in an instant, allowing him to fire off two more bullets at two more Marines, killing both of them. Luckily, the group he had decimated had all been too busy caught up in the close combat with the fishmen that none of them drew their guns, resorting to their blades due to their adrenaline pumping. After this, Isaac flew back to a building rooftop, landed, and began to reload both of his pistols, while getting ready to pull out Tweedledum: his rifle.

While waiting for a reply, the man who seemed to have led the way earlier unsheathed the blade that Sever had noticed on his waist earlier. Now that he had a closer look, he could tell that the blade was extremely well crafted and ornately decorated. Sever almost felt jealous as he saw the cold steel emerge from the sheathe, and he looked on in wonder as the blade sparked into green flames that chilled him a bit as he stood in the alley. After hearing the younger dark haired man exclaim that they would kill them all, a thin smile appeared on Sever's face. "Sounds agreeable." He was feeling rather confident seeing that he was with a likely skilled man in this trying time, and he drew his own blade in ready for the assault. Sever wasn't normally one for combat, but taking advantage of chaos was something he knew all too well, and having two allies would certainly help out a bit.

Sever's confidence fell a bit though when he watched the younger man leap up into the air and grab onto the railing of a balcony before dashing up onto the rooftop. Soon after, the red haired man removed his shirt and revealed a pair of wings on his back before flying off into the air with pistols in hand. Sever wondered just what kind of weirdos he had teamed up with, and how they could be so rude to just leave their elder here in the alley while they fought on the rooftops. Still, he wasn't one to sit and brood, so he looked off into the exit of the alley where he thought he might find some business to protect for a small fee. Unfortunately though, when he looked over to examine the exit, he found that the path was blocked by a group of fish men who had spotted him and started closing in. There were about three of them, but their size forced them to move single file down the alley. Looking back at his other escape route, Sever saw that it had been blocked by some sort of rubble that had fallen, and that climbing over it might not be feasible with three men on his heels. Sever sighed and reserved himself to fighting, grateful that the environment prevented them from surrounding him. His blade was drawn and ready, and seeing that, the fish men slowed in their approach a bit.

"Get on with it, then." Sever said impatiently, taking a step forward with his blade at the ready. The first fish man in the line, a tuna fish man carrying a large bastard sword, charged at him with his blade above his head. Sever wondered if the enemy was even trying, and Sever laid flat against the wall as the blade came down next to him, and then with a flourish of his sword he thrust the blade directly into the enemies throat, twisting the sword once it had entered, and letting his fish guts pour out all over the alley. Sever then tossed his sword up into the air above the tuna fish man and kicked him backwards towards the other two fish men. He then planted his foot on the enemies chest and continued moving forward, using his now lifeless body as a spring board to jump off of and towards the second enemy. He then grabbed the hilt of his sword out of the air and immediately thrust it forward into the sea creature's eye. He didn't let up, and he pushed the blade far past the eye and probably into the creature's brain before it had even had a chance to react. The third fish man was slightly more aware that they had run into a man who wasn't just another civilian, and he seemed to be getting rather serious. An angler fish fish man wielding a flail, he towered over Sever and swung his weapon over his head.

Sever was getting rather tired after exerting so much energy, but he stood firm and raised his blade against the opponent. "Feel the rage of the fish men, you bastard human!" He cried as he tried to bring the flail down onto Sever's head. Sever would have none of that though, and by thrusting his blade into the center of the chain and flicking his wrist, he sent the weapon clattering to the ground. The enraged fish man didn't let that stop him though, and while grabbing Sever's blade with one hand, he moved forward and punched the older swordsman in the gut. Sever felt the wind knocked out of him, and though he had heard that the strength of fish men was nothing to joke about, he certainly hadn't been prepared for such pain. His entire body screamed as he gasped for air, and in a rage he drew his blade back, slicing the tendons of the fish man's fingers. He then leaped back a few feet and pierced the fish man's heart with as powerful a thrust as he could muster. With a twist of his blade, he removed a piece of the organ on the tip of his blade and the fish man fell to the ground. Sever grasped his stomach with his hand and staggered forward, hoping to find a better place to wait out the attack. He knew he wanted to avoid any more head on fights like that, and that battle had reminded him exactly why he preferred quick assassinations. He was breathing heavily, his stomach was killing him, and he thought he could taste blood in the back of his mouth. Feeling exhausted already, he pushed on through the alleyway, glad that he had finished that quickly enough that no one came to help the fish men. Cursing those two bastards from earlier for leaving him in the alleyway, he staggered out onto the chaotic streets.

As Linedwell landed on the ground, he could almost swear that the feelings of eyes upon him was tangible. It was as if he leapt into the middle of a fight in which he hadn't been invited, and both sides were offended by his presence. He'd hoped that he'd be able to make use of the confusion of the fray to get a few kills in before they began to realize that a rogue group had joined the scuffle, but it seemed that many of them recognized their threat a bit too soon...this didn't mean that the fighting between the groups of Fishmen and Marines had stopped though. There were multiple Fishmen and Marines that were currently engaged with killing one another, so Linedwell's targets would be the ones that decided to target him first.

Almost one cue, two Fishmen rushed towards Linedwell's position. One held an axe, while the other held a rifle in hand. The one with the axe continued to rush towards Linedwell's position, while the one with the rifle stopped in order to back the first Fishman up. Linedwell decided the best way to handle this threat would be to stay in the shadow of the ax-wielding fishman, leaving the one with the rifle without a shot. With his hand on his hilt, Linedwell prepared himself to "dance" with his opponent, swaying from side to side and avoiding his opponent's ax swings while also keeping his rifle wielding opponent from firing off a shot. Soon enough, Linedwell grew tired of this dance, and darted around his opponent. The quick action was enough to catch his rifle wielding foe off guard while also giving Linedwell enough time to clear the distance of fifteen meters between himself and his opponent. Linedwell's blade was unsheathed far before reaching the male, and with the tip of his place cutting horizontally across the belly of his foe; gutting him like a fish.

With this foe dead, Linedwell rushed back to his ax wielding opponent. Unsheathing his blade once more, Linedwell parried one of the male's ax blows before pushing him back a bit before rushing forward once again. With Linedwell now within range to deal quite a bit of damage his blade thrusts forward, piercing through the chest of the fishman and with the light twitch of the blade Linedwell was able to surmise he'd been able to also pierce his opponents heart.

While attempting to "unsheathe" his blade from the corpse of his opponent, he was able to hear yelling behind him - some of which even sounded as though they were referring to Linedwell himself. With his eyes glancing to his left, Linedwell attempted to listen in and managed to catch mentioning of the name "Ensign Rainrex". It was obvious that the marines had finally put together who he was and that fact that he hadn't perished with his detachment. With him mysteriously showing up here and killing off both fishmen and Marines alike, it wasn't hard for them to finally come to the conclusion that Linedwell had indeed been responsible for these deaths.

Because of this, Linedwell knew he couldn't exactly afford to stand idle any longer. With this revelation, the Marines would also turn their attention on him in full. With a quick and powerful tug, Linedwell had finally been able to withdraw his blade before shaking the blade clean of blood and sheathing it, only to turn around and be greeted by the sight of fifteen Marines with hate in their eyes rushing towards his position, with only a distance of about five meters separating them. Gripping the hilt of his blade tightly, Linedwell braced himself for what would come by dropping down into drawing stance.

Once they'd cleared another meter and he was assured they wouldn't be able to react, Linedwell quickly unsheathed his blade and slashed horizontally, slicing the air and sending a vacuum in their direction. With the Marines running up in the way they did, it only left them open to Linedwell's attack, which managed to strike and cleave all of them in half.

He could feel his breath becoming more and more labored the longer the fight went on. The task they'd taken up was a large one, but even when one looked at this in high sight, there was no real decision they could have made other than this. Sure, they could have tried to escape the island, but given the state of this place escaping wouldn't have been possible. Each and every enemy needed to be taken out in order to be assured an escape route.

With his break finished, Linedwell darted off, running forwards about four meters before leaping upwards. His hand on his hilt, Linedwell began to pay the cost that Mr. Miyagi had warned him about before giving him the blade known as Treachery. In order to truly wield the power it had to offer, one had to pay the cost of a bit of their soul each and every time they tapped into the sword's abilities. As Linedwell soared through the air and the toll was paid, the sword and sheathe was once again enveloped by green fire. With the fire fully enveloping the blade, Linedwell then unsheathed it and slashed in the direction of most of the remaining Fishmen. The fire that poured out of the blade and followed the slash resembled a crescent moon, and as it impacted the multiple fishmen instead of burning them, it was able to cause frostbite. Though the damage seemed minimal now, the damage would soon grow - causing each and every one of his victims to wish they'd perished.

Isaac Taylor
It seemed that Isaac was not the only one here who was capable of cleaning up the mess left by the Marines and Fishmen alike, as he watched both of his new accomplices skillfully end a lot of the carnage by taking out many of the enemies they all faced. The swordsman was especially talented, but Isaac saw something in the Marines. The way they acted was more than just them doing their duty. They genuinely felt a rage at the man's very existence, and went after him with a fury. Naturally they were all cut down instantly, but something was off about it, and Isaac made note to ask him about it once this was all finished.

Isaac had headed to the top of a building, but now he was seeing something that could quite quickly end the fight. Flying high into the sky, Isaac had managed to scout out most of the island, and saw two fishmen that seemed to be giving the orders: one that looked like he could be a Hammerhead Shark, and one that could only have been a Squid. Being as high as he was, Isaac knew his next course of action. The Squid was quite close to him, within fifty metres, but the other one, the Hammerhead Shark, he was going to be a fun shot, as he stood away from the battlefield, a nice simple one hundred metres from Isaac's current location. A shot he was very eager to hit. Locking up his rifle in his arms and steadying his flight to a simple hover in the air, Isaac took a moment to breathe and focus his eyesight on his target. He checked the wind speed, direction, and accounted for all of these in his trajectory, before firing. His gun was naturally capable of firing at a target accurately up to forty metres away. With his natural talents, Isaac bumped that up by another twenty, arriving at sixty metres. But with his breathing slowed and his heart rate calm, he added another fifty metres to his shot, putting the Shark well within reach. And just to make sure the Shark would not be able to avoid this attack, Isaac had used a special method of firing that he could only use a few times a day due to the strain. The bullet soared through the air at a much faster rate than normal and, within miliseconds, struck the Fishman just below the chin, in the carotid artery, completely shattering it and killing the Fishman instantly. Once this was complete, he sought to reloading his pistols fully, which meant next time, he would finish up his enemies, and win the day.
