Only about a day had passed since Linedwell's excursion into the caverns below. While there he'd been able to deal with the Ghoul menace. The beasts up above in the jungle were now safe and able to once again populate the area without threat of the parasitic race down below. Not only had Linedwell been able to destroy these beasts, he'd also been able to save two explorers from certain death as well. The two explorers later introduced themselves while giving a bit of information about why they'd even ventured out to this inhospitable place.
It seemed the two men were here on business, which was obvious enough. They'd been commissioned by a party they couldn't disclose to investigate this place for objects known as Poneglyphs. It appeared that these poneglyphs were inscribed with a text that most people could never hope to decipher, and even though these two men couldn't decipher the characters either they were still sent out to see if one truly existed here. After finding that none existed above ground, they decided to see if there was one hidden away in the caverns below. Linedwell nodded his head as he listened to the men, feigning a bit of his interest in the matter. It was until they mentioned the worth of these poneglyphs that he truly began to gain any interest. The thought of learning things from an era in time that nobody knew about was interesting indeed.
