Crescent Island. Anton couldn't really say he had been here before. He had always been busy elsewhere. And yet, his first assignment as commodore was to check this place out. They had received some reports of strange activity here on the island, nothing too alarming though, which was why the new commodore had been sent in to investigate. As The Noble Justice found a place to dock, and the men were getting the ship tied and ready, Anton stood on deck, looking out at the island before them.
"Something about this doesn't feel right." Anton glanced over at his new second in command, Celia Stanson. I still felt weird to have someone working directly under him, especially when it was a strong, driven woman like her. "They just want us to check this place out," Anton replied, "All we need to do is find out what is happening here." The short commander shook her head. "Still, I think I should accompany you." Anton quickly shook his head. "No! Erm, I need you here, on the ship, Erm, just in case something happens to the ship." Anton chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. IN reality, he just didn't like the idea of putting a woman in danger, even if they could handle themselves.
Celia seemed to suspect that was the case, glaring at him before looking away. "Very well, I will be filling out some paperwork then." She headed inside, only then did Anton release the breath he had been holding. He knew it wasn't fair to keep her stuck on the ship like this, but his 'protect the women' instinct was stronger. He turned to his men who had just finished up. "Alright men, let's go!"
