Bastian
As the sun slowly began to awaken from its slumber to bring its warming rays on the day, Bastian to had begun his day quite early. He'd made himself a full breakfast by a campfire and had several water bottles prepared for what he knew was gonna be a very arduous day. He'd come to this island no more than a few weeks ago, specifically for the fact the island was uninhabited aside from the random wildlife that filled it. There was only one reason he had come to this place and that was to push himself to become a better fighter. With the lose of several crews under his belt and the death of all his siblings, he felt the deep desire to become stronger in order to make the world pay for his pain. He was, after all, a Belmonte and this was what the Belmonte did. With the only surviving member of his family being him and his son, who was taken to the Grandline with another pirate crew, Bastian had little choice but to hone his skills for what was to come.

After his morning rituals were finished, he began his day with several laps around the island. Now the island itself wasn't huge, but Bastian had calculated that at least once around was comparable to 3 miles. His task for a warm up was to do so at least five times without stopping. With a light backpack on to carry his water, Bastian stretched for a few minutes then immediately set out on the task. His pace was rather slow, more akin to a jog than a full run, though the beaches sand that surround the edge of the island made the effort a bit more trying. This sort of training wasn't new to him, in fact in his youth he'd done this sort thing often with his younger brother Jet. He'd learned then that running at full speed at the start was a quick way to blow your load before you even got far. This in mind, he maintained his speed and focused solely on the reason he was doing this. He needed to be stronger to get his son and ensure that the Belmonte name rang though all the blues, Grandline, and New World.

As he reached his first check point, a large rock that sat in between where the beach and forest met, Bastian picked up the pace a little. The sand from the beach kicked up as he increased the pace, ignoring the tightening he was feeling in his calfs. The feeling reminded him of how long it had been since he actually put effort into training and already he could hear Jet laughing in his head at how pathetic he was for "feeling the burn" so early. The thought annoyed him so much that Bastian had almost yelled, "Shut the fuck up, Jet," but maintained his silence as he completed his lap. His pace continued in this manner until he had completed 3 of the 5 laps he was meant to do. At this point his lack of cardio was very apparent, at least by the standard he was comparing himself as a youth, and he'd all but gone through his water; with the exception for one. "Come you, you son of bitch, move your fuckin legs," he mumbled under his breathe though the rhythmic breathes he was taking with each step.

By the time he'd reached the final lap, he felt like his legs were about to fall off. The burning sensation at first was now like fire with kerosene dosed on them. He could feel his heart pounding twice as fast as the steps he was taking. He'd all but lost focus on anything aside from what was going on directly in front him. "No, I got a little more in me than this," he said aloud trying to pep himself up into finishing. Before he knew it he was running as fast as he could, mostly so he could hurry and be done with this part of his training. He pushed away the pain in the legs, as much as his mind would allow anyway, and gritted his teeth as he gave himself the final push to finish the 5th lap around the island.

When he finally reached the finish line, at least that is what he called it, he all but collapsed face first into the sand. He laid down for a few minutes and allowed the embrace of the soft and cool sand to relax him. "It doesn't hurt, its all an illusion," he would repeat constantly as he rolled over to his back and stared up at the clear blue skies. "I still got more in me. This ain't no where near my limit," he said as he sat up to drink what was left of his water, "Gonna have to go back to the lake and refill all of these." He allowed himself to relax a bit longer, massaging his legs to alleviate the pain. Once he felt relieved of enough of the pain to stand, Bastian grabbed his empty water bottles and headed into the forest. Deep inside the island, at the center, was a small fresh water lake that proved to be the only source of said fresh water on the island. Not being to inquisitive as to why, Bastian accepted it as a small blessing and at this point was glad for it.

Upon arriving he noticed that there was a boar near the waters edge taking a drink. He swore under breath as he slowed his approach, "This little shits always lurkin around here," he thought to himself as he tried to maneuver to the opposite side of the lake. Unfortunately, due to his fatigue he was a bit more clumsy than usual and stepped on twic that immediately alerted the boar. The beasts heard immediately jerked toward the source and laid eyes on Bastian and gave a loud snort. "Fuck me, right," he said to himself as looked up to see if there was branch on a tree he could grab onto. Luck completely against him, there was none to be found and the boar wasted little time in charging at the unwanted visitor.

With no choice, Bastian prepared for the battle that was to come, and met the rushing boar with a punch to its hard skull. The force of the boars charge had been enough to knock Bastian off his feet, mostly in due part to them being still weak from his run. Despite his initial attack to the boar, the punch was easily shrugged off though it redirected the beasts tusk from hitting his torso. Wasting no time, after being redirected by the punch, the boar made another charge at Bastian while he was still seated. Aware of the beasts intention to capitalize on Bastian's misfortune, the pirate rolled to his left toward the lake and forced the boar to collide with the tree that Bastian had just been near. The boar struck the tree with enough force that the tree's leaves shook from the impact, but even this wasn't enough to deter the animal.

Now on his feet, shaky as they are, Bastian eased himself backwards towards the lake, hold both hands out in front of him as if he were gesturing for the beast to stop. "This is gonna be the last damn day you annoy me you little shit," he roared at the beast that was at this part charging at him again. Bastian waited until the beast was practically within striking range before he leaped over the boar, in similar fashion to a child playing leap frog. The boar immediately went into the lake and flounder a bit to get back to the lakes edge. "Oh no the hell your not," he Bastian roared as he dived at the boar and took it under water. The boar fought violently as Bastian grabbed it by the tusk and starting delivering a barrage of punches to its belly in an attempt to drown the beast. The struggle lasted a little under a minute before the boar ceased moving. Giving another few punches for good measure, Bastian swam back to the surface with the boar in tow and took a huge gasp of air the moment he reached. He tossed the boar out the water so it landed lifeless on on the lakes edge.

"Survival of the fittest, you stupid fuck," he said with a grin on his face. He swam to the lakes edge and pulled himself out the water with some effort. He let his legs remain in the water as he lay back on the dead boar as if it were a pillow. He looked back up into the sky which was blocked slightly by the leaves of the trees. He could see that the sun had reached its zenith, meaning it was likely around noon. He still had much more to do for this training, but after all of this, he could afford himself a little rest. To top it all off he got a decent meal for dinner out of it, "Not a bad start. I suppose its time for the hard stuff next," he said aloud through his loud breathes.

The feeling of the warm light kissed Sturm's cheek awaking him from his deep slumber. The sounds of machinery spun to life in a instant as his mind awoke from deep sleep. The machinery responded directly to Gerald's mind and followed suit. He was pretty much naked in the bed. With a quick pull he removed the sheets from the bed. He rubbed his eyes gently as to not gouge them out. He looked over out the window of his shack. His robotic eye was twitching a little bit. The eye was proto type and had a lot of room for improvement. He blinked two times and it reset itself. He let out a grunt of displeasure before standing up. He wanted to get some training in too get even more accustom to his robotic ligaments. His hand spun around slowly as he moved each ligament. His brain was already racing at how he can make his body more ‘beautiful’ in other terms more dangerous. He stood up from the bed, his machine ligaments made all sorts of subtle sounds with each motion. He moved through the little shack that was more like a studio bedroom. One large area and a bathroom connected to it.

He proceeded to do his morning ritual of brushing his teeth and washing his organic parts. As for his inorganic parts he made sure they were in working condition before setting out. He was a bit worried about his robotic eye but he was going too make sure that would be the first thing he upgrades.

What was meant to be a minor break turned into a full on nap. By the time he roused himself it was maybe a few hours past noon. He sat up and slowly rose to his feet, his legs still aching a little but not so much as they had been before. He gave a great yawn as he stretched out his arms wide before cracking his neck. The dead boar behind let out a big fart, which immediately brought tears to Bastian's eyes from the smell alone. Holding in his desire to throw up, Bastian dragged the boar away from the water's edge and left it laying against the tree. His stomached growled loudly once the task was finished and he immediately prepared for the next portion of this training. Gathering the materials he needed to cook this beast. After covering his prize, the dead boar, with leaves and broken branches he set; Bastian set off to find better burning material for the fire. He'd considered using the ones already near him, but they were moist and wet. Not the ideal branches needed to get a fire going quickly. He'd recalled during his earlier training that there was a part of the island that had a lot of dead trees. Assuming these to be the better option, he set off to western most side of the forest.

Not wanting to skip out on training, Bastian stepped up this simply trip by taking the trees as if he were a monkey. The tasked proved to be more challenging than he had assumed since it required more leg strength than he anticipated. Literally jumping from branch to branch, either by leaping and grabbing it with this hands or simply landing lightly on his feet. He'd, at first, opted to stick to the lower thicker branches, but after a series of slips and falls he learned that if he wanted to catch himself before hitting the ground he would need to be higher up in the trees. This would give him ample opportunity to catch another branch upon his descent, unlike before when he he slipped there would be none due to all the branches of the trees started around 10ft up from the trees trunk.

To make this more challenging than it already was, he agreed that each time he had to use his hands to catch a branch he would do 10 pull-ups before continuing on his way. If, however, he landed on a branch feet first he would hang upside down and do 10 upside-down sit-ups. Though it started out as a relatively easy task, Bastian had forgotten just how far he was from the location he was heading to. By he his judgment he wasn't even half-way there before he started to feel the effects of his training. He'd reached the 100th mark on both the pull-ups and upside down sit-ups before started to feel the burn. His entire torso and arms felt as if they were on fire, just like had legs had been earlier in the day. To make matters worse, his hunger was rapidly sapping his strength to see the job finished.

Bastian had been ready to call it quits and walk the rest of the way when he once again could hear laughter in his head. This time it came from a woman that Bastian immediately recognized as his adopted sister Claudia, "Shut the hell up, Red, between you and Jet I don't need this shit right now," he mumbled under his breath as he continued his training. "How insane can you be Bast, we both know I am dead. Dead because you couldn't stop one sorry ass marine from killing me," she said with a chuckle. "No one told you to jump in the damn way to save me," he grunted as he caught a branch with his hands and began his pull-ups, "That was my time to die, you little shit, you had no fuckin right. Now get the fuck out of my head and stay dead." "And here I thought you were the stronger brother," she said with a laugh. The laughter of Claudia continued to ring in Bastian's head until it faded off into a whisper. Fully annoyed at his mind playing this dumb ass tricks on him, Bastian continued his training with a small bit of renewed vigor. He swore loud enough for anyone on the island to hear him as he continued to his destination.

By the time he arrived at the area with the location Bastian had all but lost count of exactly how many pull-ups and sit-ups he had done. He simply collapsed against the first dead tree he came to and sat back against it to catch his breathe. His arms were throbbing and the pain on his stomach made it hurt to move at all. Taking a few minutes to catch his breathe, Bastian scanned the area for some good choices of firewood to use, as well as, a big enough piece to use to impale the dead boar on. When he spotted the needed materials to get the job done, he slowly staggered to his feet. He gathered what he could and tossed it on a rather large branch with numerous side branches connected. He then was able to use it as a sort of makeshift wheelbarrow, minus the wheels obviously.

Once everything was in place, he grabbed the base of the branch and began to drag everything back toward the lake. Yet another task that proved more tedious than anticipated given the amount of fatigue that was setting in. "It doesn't hurt, dammit," he said to himself aloud trying to psych himself into completing his task. Luckily, his legs weren't in as much pain as the rest of his body and were more than up for a simply walk through the forest. By the time he had arrived to the lake the sun wasn't even visible through the trees anymore. This made the immediate area around the lake appear to be dark and gloomy. The only issue this brought was that he did not notice the company that was currently lurking near his dead boar.

When was a mere meter away from the dead boar, a low growl caused him to immediately stop in his tracks. "What the hell," he thought to himself as he looked towards the source of the sound and saw a huge mountain lion standing beside the dead boar. The leaves that had been used to cover it was all over the place and part of the boar had been chewed on. The site infuriated the pirate to the point he practically forgot his fatigue and dropped the branch carrying the material for the campfire. "Your fucking dead you little shit," he said cracking his knuckles. The mountain lion responded in kind with a pounce that Bastian narrowly sidestepped, though still received a slight slash from the beasts effort.

The beast crashed into the campfire material after missing its target, and Bastian wasted no time and reacting accordingly. While the mountain lion tried to scramble to its feet, Bastian rushed and delivered a hard front snap kick to the beasts head that sent it flying off the camp fire material. The animal reeled from the blow and landed on its back, though immediately scrambled to its feet and continued its assault with another lung. Rather than side stepping this time, Bastian waited until the last possible moment and delivered a fast and powerful uppercut. The hit landed under the chin of the perfectly and sent the mountain lion backwards yet again, though this time it staggered to its feet on shaky legs. Choosing to simply let the man be, the mountain lion trudged off beaten and battered for its decision to steal from a Belmonte.

Once he was sure the mountain lion was gone, Bastian immediately collapsed to the ground and allowed himself a moment to catch his breathe. Afterwards he promptly prepared a campfire and impaled what was left of the boar so that it could roast over the fire. While his meal cooked, the pirate took a swim in the lake to cool himself off; getting a few laps done at a leisurely pace before getting out and warming himself by the warm fire. "I think this is good enough for today," he said as he massage his aching muscles. He had to admit that it had been years since he pushed himself this far in training, but it felt good all the same. With a edged rock he'd picked up when gathering the materials for the campfire, he was able to tear off a few pieces of the cooked boar and promptly took a few bites. As he ate he noticed that the mountain lion had returned, though it was staying on the outskirts of the campfire light. Noticing this, Bastian tore off another piece and tossed it toward the animal who happily at it. Slightly amused, Bastian continued to enjoy his meal by the campfire light.

Sturm stood at the entrance of his closet looking at all of his available clothing. He was looking for something flexible yet it would cover his body from top to bottom. He still was not comfortable with the idea of everyone knowing that he was not all human. The idea of someone finding out would take away the mysteriousness. However, it would be restricting to work out in his cowboy get up. He began to giggle a bit as he pulled out a piece of clothing he thought he got rid of a long time ago. Something he created in his beginning days of a scientist. He even still had the matching shoes to go with it. The piece of clothing was exactly as it sounds a one piece. A spandex suit that he wore in his early days of having his enhancements. A suit that would cover his entire body and a mask that stretched over his face.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Pro1h0IzL._SX342_.jpg

It was very reminiscent of a warrior from another day and age. It followed a red and black color scheme with eye holes that let him see out of it clearly. Something that he vowed to make look a bit more presentable in the future. For now it would serve its purpose. It was very simple in nature and did not offer any added protection. It didn’t have any pockets so he would leave all of his little things in the safe under the panel in the back room. After he stretched it on it conformed to his body. He slipped on the black tennis shoes and slung his rather large sword over his back. He did not want to take his gun out today because target practice was for another day. He also made sure to take his water pack that would be strapped to his belt for hydration purposes.

He walked past the bathroom mirror and looked into it. “Hmm, I still look good in it.” He stepped out the door and gave a calm stretch of the body. It was a nice day outside, he could hear the sounds of the seagulls cracking over the sounds of the crashing waves. Something must have died not to far out or there was a school of fish forming at the surface. “Whew boy, today is gonna be a nice one.” he said to himself. He continued to look at the sea that seemed to call out to him. He knew that the shit he went through had some form of meaning. He knew that he was meant to shake the world up a bit before leaving it to the great beyond. Granted he knew life could be a cruel joke with a shitty punchline. Sturm knew that he needed to work with the cards he was dealt.

With a calm sigh he turned to the left where the coast went off into the horizon. He began to calmly jog down the beach at a slow pace. Thankfully his large blade, not his penis but his actual sword was strapped to his back. The feeling of metal clanging on his back would get tiresome very quickly. With each step into the sand he sank a bit because it was still wet from the tides coming up to caress the sands with its cold, salty touch. Sturm began to pick up a little speed to see how his limbs could handle it. He could feel the machinery respond to his thoughts and nerves as he picked up. It seemed he was able to run for extended periods of time with minor effort. He made sure to take note of this as he explored his body. This was something intriguing to him. He wondered if he would be able to modify the inner works of his body to go even faster. This was something he would have to experiment with later. He was always theorycrafting or taking some kind of mental note down for future reference. He looked down for a moment to notice someone had just come through this area. Soft footprints were left in the sands but they were quickly being erased.

Within a few moments any trace of said person would have been gone with the rolling currents. This of course was a bit alarming because it was leading away from the shack itself. A sense of paranoia overcame him for a moment. This person could be anyone, a spy, a pirate, a lost individual or just a nobody. He shook his head to remove this paranoia before it plagued him causing increased anxiety. Before he knew it, he was in a full sprint. The machinery in his legs was in full gear. Each step pressed hard into the sand kicking up all kinds of nonsense. He would leave a cloud behind with each step. He was breathing heavier, as if he was trying to run away from this anxiety that was trying to build. Sturm focused on something more important, more positive. The goal he was trying to reach was making something of himself. Even as a pirate, he wanted to honor his family that was snatched away from him in an instant.

He could only think of what could be in the future. Granted he was not that much of a people person he would not mind to have people he could look to. A group of like minded individuals who he could call...dare he think it ‘friend.’ the idea of it was a foreign language. The last time he could call anyone that was the doctor who saved his life. It was farfetched but the more he thought about the things he would encountered would be too great for one man to tackle alone. He would need allies he could lean on. He did not like people but he was not stupid. Sturm knew damn well he would not make it in a fight against the world. It would cause him anxiety but he would get over it as time passed.

Before he knew it he had covered quite a few miles almost doing a full lap around the island. It was hard to tell how big it was, he did not do any calculations as this island was a temporary hideout until he would go too his next destination. He had hopes of finding crew members for a possible venture that would take him too the top in due time. He started to slow down as he finally started to feel the exhaustion setting in. Because he was not a normal human it took a bit longer for him too feel any form of strain on his body. He did not have as many muscles to work with. All he had to do was tune his body or upgrade it to his likings. This was something that he took into account right off the back. He was sweating through his mask and various parts on his chest. It looked kind of nasty to say the least. However, it was a sign of progress, no pain, no gain right?

He sat off into the forest that lead into the middle of the island. One thing Sturm was sure of was that the place housed a lot of wild animals that were of the predatory species. A few none predators, but they did not take kindly to trespassers. As he hiked through the dense forest he looked around for anything that stood out to him. He took out his small water bottle out of his satchel and began took a sip. Not a sip that would deplete the content of the bottle. Just a wee sip that would be enough to wet his whistle. As of late he had been collecting plant life for future projects. He wanted to craft all sorts of fun concoctions that would be beneficial in the long run. He placed his cantine back into its pouch. Then his ear twitched as he heard movement. He froze for a moment and he tensed up a bit. He did not know what exactly was coming.

He glanced around him, motionless as if he was waiting for something to strike at him. He slowly grabbed the handle of his blade that rested on his right shoulder side. A snap of a branch was heard and he spun around to see a small woodland animal. A little bunny rabbit that seemed to be curious as to who trespassed on its land. Sturm let out a deep sigh relaxing himself for a moment. As Sturm approached calmly the rabbit fled the scene out of fear. Then another snap would make him spin around in a instant. The claymore was removed in an instant and used as a tool to block. A hand was gripped on the handle and his left hand on the blade to reinforce his stance. Both feet dug into the ground. His reaction time was fram perfect to the sudden attacker. Thanks to his robotic enhancements of course. At the moment of impact there was a loud clanging of metal on bone. Sturm had a devilish grin hidden behind the mask as he held the beast in place. A fucking jaguar had made an attempt on his life. Thanks to his cyborg enhancements he was able to hold the beast in place. The spotted beast roared in frustration as its silent kill was thwarted thanks to science.

“You thought I would be easy you fuck!?” he yelled. Something within Sturm welled up and a sense of excitement and adrenaline overtook him in a instant. It was happening again, he was losing himself in the moment. His mind was racing at the different outlets and possibilities.

The beast roared in response to Sturm yelling. Sturm made a quick assessment of the beast. It was larger than usual, most likely male looking for a quick meal. He could have been after the rabbit for a appetiser. Gears spun rapidly as Sturm deflected the beast to the side. Sturm did not automatically attack as he should have he wanted this fight. He began to circle to the left as the beast scrambled to its feet. It quickly regained its composure as expected. The beast circled to the right of him. Sturm could have ended this fight at the moment he deflected the attack. No he wanted to savor this and sharpen his art. Sturm’s eyes met the light green eyes of the beast. It hissed and growled at the sight of Sturm fighting back. Meanwhile Sturm just smiled behind the mask. He began to radiate killing intent, a predatory sense that only were available to a certain few. It was not too be mistaken for haki as that was a different beast in itself. We will get into that another time however. Suddenly the two stopped and stared each other down. Sturm motioned the sword in front of him as if he was ready to strike.

The beast lunged once more in a linear fashion, sturm reacted with a dodge. He side stepped to the left of the beast but did not attack. He just assumed the position again as the beast turned around, in a frustrated fashion to attack again. This time a swipe came from left to right, but it was futile. With a quick motion of the sword the sharp side of the double edged sword deflected the claws. Sturm kept his composure as the beast continued this onslaught of attacks. Slashes moved left and right in an attempt to harm Sturm. The claymore served as a defense against these attacks. The big cat was becoming tired as several minutes turned into a hour. Sturm had spent minimal stamina defending against these attacks. He noticed the Cat breathing heavily after a certain amount of time. The time to strike was coming close, Sturm could tell. The beast would lunge at him but it was tired, it used a higher lunge in an attempt to use its weight to its advantage. It was sloppy, a true sign that this beast was at its wits end. Sturm would only grant this beast sweet release from this world.

“I enjoyed this dance.” These words were muttered at the same moment of the start of the pounce. With a swift metal note, this dance would end in less than a second. He stabbed the blade into the chest of the beast, using the momentum of it he tossed the beast over him. The sound of the blade pressing into the sternum of the beast, was an orchestra of doom weaved in passionate way. A fitting end to such a deadly dance. The beast would come off the blade Sturm used his bionic strength to launch the beast across the forest floor. Blood stained the sword as he stood there for a moment. The beast was not fully dead yet, it cried out in pain. It’s life essence leaked from the hole in its chest. It tried to get to it’s feet out of fear hoping to get away. It was sad really, Sturm knew how this felt. Grasping at life trying to flee the jaws of death. He would not make the beast suffer as he did for too long. He would quickly dash forward a meter to close the gap between them and stab the sword downward. The blade pierced the side of the beast, as the tip entered the heart, the soul of the beast would be released back into the beyond. No tears would be shed for this great predator. Yet he would make sure it did not go to waste. Sturm flicked the edge of the claymore causing the blood to rain on the grass beneath it. Sturm had blood on him from the beast but no one could tell, he wore red.

Hours had passed by as the battle ended and before he knew it, it was later in the day. He found himself carrying the body through the forest. It was slung over his shoulder as a trophy but he was getting hungry. He did not have much to eat for breakfast and he skipped lunch. Then suddenly air smelled like charred remains before it turned into a barbecue smell. He followed the smell before sitting behind a tree staring at a campfire. There was another beast there with a man sitting down cooking remains of his own hunt. A bit of anxiety crossed his mind and he started to breathe heavily. This was the thing he did not care for. ‘Interaction with people.’ He took a deep breath and thought to himself for a moment. ‘Damn it get it together, you can’t make a crew if you can’t deal with people.’ Out of courage he pushed himself towards the fire. A cracking branch would alert the man and the beast to his presence.

The sound of a branch being broken cause Bastian to lazily look toward the source. What he saw almost brought tears to his eyes from the sheer laughter he let out. "Whoot tha futh are u spose tha be," he said aloud with food still in his mouth. The guy he saw appeared to be in his pajamas, though why one would wear pajamas in the woods was beyond the pirates desire to find out. Assuming the worst, Bastian got to his feet though the process was obviously a trial due to his shaking legs. Secretly while doing so he grabbed a little dirt in his right hand, the action being obscured from the intruders vision due to the man appearing on Bastian's left side. He swallowed what was left of the food in his mouth and give a crooked smile at the intruder. He made it a point to keep his posture and body language as non-threatening as possible, despite his intention to break this guys face. "I've fucked up a boar and a mountain lion today, might as well add a clown to the list", was all he would say before rushing at the man at full speed. Due to his training throughout the day, his current full speed was practically half of what his actual speed was.

His golden eyes watched for the first sign of movement from the man in pajama's, in reaction to Bastian's charge. As tired as he was, he wasn't about to let anyone or anything claim his prize or interrupt his training. At least this would serve as a decent after dinner exercise, given the amount of boar he'd eaten prior to the intruders arrival. With luck he could work up another appetite or at least have a little fun on this uninhabited island.

Sturm froze in place for a moment in his red pajamas staring at the man who slowly cocked his head to the back. The man couldn’t tell but Sturm was sweating bullets behind this mask. Trying to find the words to say. It was a awkward situation too say the least. Then it crossed his mind that this could have been the guy who had been on the island near his shit shack. Laughter erupted from the man before he spoke. A slurred, diarrhea of the version of the English language crept out of his mouth. Clearly a byproduct of the man eating. One that Sturm used the time to gather himself and raise an eyebrow. “I am sorry I have no fucking idea what you just said I am gonna need you to speak human.”

Then something came out of the man's mouth that was a bit clearer, much less muttered. Words that would form together to form a much more comedic sentence. One that would cause Sturm too straighten up his demeanor. “Clown eh?” The man was already sprinting across a distance moving towards Sturm at a solid speed. At the same given moment, using one arm he launched the dead body of Jaguar at the man. It became the means of a projectile moving at roughly 2.5 meters a second. The man was moving across a ten meter clearing at Sturm. The area around them was not as dense as Sturm was on the edge of the forest line that led into this clearing where this combatant was at. The dead body would serve as a means of a distanced attack. It’s flight path would be directly in line with the long haired shit lord coming to catch these hands. It moved in a straight line meanwhile Sturm moved right out of the brush, less than a meter, with his guard up.

The moment the intruder made his move, Bastian prepared one of his own. As the burden the pajama man was carrying was moved from its resting position, Bastian prepared to make his next move. The moment the, what appeared to be another big feline like the mountain lion, was tossed in his direction; Bastian performed a slide so that the beast would sail above his head. He let his left hand hit the ground as he did so, making sure he didn't lose completely balance in the effort. "Shit," he thought to himself as he noticed the pajama man had begun to move off to Bastian's left. Rather than continue his attack, he stopped just as he the jaguar passed one another. "This guy is keeping the distance," he thought as he put more weight on his left hand and changed the direction of his charge. Rather than directly at the man, Bastian moved to intercept at an angle to cut off the pajama guy's movements.

A smile crept on his face as his adrenaline began to start pumping. It had been a while that Bastian had to deal with a person who might know a thing or two about fighting. Just then he noticed the mountain lion lurking in the shadows homing in on the remaining boar meat. Left with either enjoying this fight or punishing the stupid cat again, Bastian the only choice that seemed logical at the time. After all, he was still quite hungry. He flung the dirt at the pajama man's direction, not carrying if it made it to its target or not and charged at the mountain lion. The beast being so preoccupied with its soon to be ill gotten prize, did not notice Bastian charging in until he was already tackling the beast to the ground.

"I fucking warned you," he shouted as he got to the beast's back and put it in a sleeper hold. The lion squirmed and clawed at Bastian, but the now angry pirate was gripping tighter and tighter with each scratch. Only when the beast stopped moving did Bastian release the dead creature. Ignoring the scratches and bleeding, Bastian brought his attention back to the intruder, "Take this as a warning, pajama, you either leave or I will beat your brains in for trying to steal my meal," he said with a crooked smile. Between the training and the constant fighting or animals, this was all a bluff. But, Bastian was a Belmonte and that meant he'd fight for what was his until he was dead.

He noticed the man had slid under the jaguar as expected but Sturm had nothing else to throw at him. If he could he would throw more shit at the man approaching. At the moment of moving out of the brush Sturm was already held fast for his next attack. The man made a attempt to cut him off but litter did the man know Sturm had a keen eye. He was able to track people moving at high speed without his enhancements. A sort of gift given to him for using ranged weapons all the time. Thanks to his enhancements reacting would not be a issue. Naturally he kept all of his opponents at a range due to favoring ranged combat. If they got close however they would be in for a nasty surprise. He was not one to let someone get in over on him. Covering all of his options was the most intelligent thing to do.

Sturm's robotic eye picked up movement and his attention was drawn over to another beast coming out of the brush to sneak some food. It was a smart thing to do on the beast's end. Take the meal while the two superior predators duke it out. He did not let himself get distracted for too long as he snapped back to looking at the dashing man. He flung dirt up in a attempt to obscure vision which it was not dense enough to. Thanks to the mask a lot of it did not phase him at all really. However Sturm only tightened up his defense by placing his arms closer and kind of hunching over.

Before he knew it the man was already dashing towards the beast. He kind of stood back up in pure puzzlement at the fact. He seemed to adamant about fighting. Sturm could not help but be a bit disappointed but this served as a purpose. He could see the lad was a bit more feral, and his body was defined in the sense that he could fight to a extent. His dashing in like he did only implied he was a close range fighter. This could sever beneficial to Sturm. 'A Crew has to start somewhere right?' He thought to himself. He was a bit more relaxed now all around seeing the man tackle the beast to the ground. Deep down he knew that something could come of this man in the future possibly. He heard the mans statement and only chuckled. He walked towards the body he launched like a projectile at the man. “I am not trying to steal your meal, I was simply investigating the other possible person on this seemingly deserted island.” As much as Sturm wanted to curse and call this man names he did not. He took the high road in a attempt to win this man over to his side for the future. He bent over and picked up his own quarry. As he stood up he looked over the man who had wrestled a mountain lion to the ground with his bare hands. “So I am starting a venture, a crew if you will, are you interested?” Sturm could only hope for a positive answer as he stood there looking over.

There was a slight shift in Bastian's expression, from the crooked smile to a slight bit of surprise, as the intruder had actually been just a curious passerby. He chuckled to himself at how rash he had been in his judgement, the hunger had more of an effect on him than he would have guessed. "I see," he said relaxing a bit as he gave the dead mountain lion a few good kicks, "My bad, pajama, its been a rough day. You defend your meal enough times and everything sort of seems like its out to get you." He semi-watched the man go to retrieve the animal he had thrown a mere few moments ago, though part of his attention was on taking off another piece of his cooked meal. As he tore into the meat with his almost feral like canine teeth, the pajama man asked him a question that made him give a slight grin.

A crew. Sebastian had all but given up on the idea of getting a crew. Being that he had been a captain twice in his life as a pirate, both of which ending rather abruptly due to his approach to handling business. The idea of being in another seemed to have significantly less appeal than of his occupation would think. "Sorry, pajama, I'm a Belmonte. We don't really play nice with others," he stated plainly. Given his long retirement from the pirating scene, he doubted the man would understand what a Belmonte was. The family that vowed its life to the sea that set them free, how could any of these fools these days understand. To live a life where only setting the world on fire was the goal. This had been why he lost his first two crews, they were to squeamish to do the dirty work. He had no use for pussies like them, anyway, they couldn't cut it.

Before he realized it, Sebastian had fell silent and had zoned out staring at the fire. His expression wasn't solemn or angry, in fact, he appeared more hungry and eager if anything else. He snapped himself out of his 10 second trance and came back to reality. "Your welcome to the fire, as a apology for almost kicking your teeth in. I'm not sharing my boar, though." Whether the man accepted the offer or no, Sebastian would give him a nod and go back to his meal. He had another day of training awaiting him tomorrow and a good night's sleep on a full stomach was just what the doctor ordered.
