It had been twenty hours and forty minutes since Linda had decided to take Oka under her wing and she was already regretting her decision. She had gotten up at the crack of dawn for there were a couple of things she had to handle before the meeting with the white-haired teen. She was a marine and though she was an unambitious one, she still had work to do. It was chilly outside which was a drastic change from the warm sometimes hot temperatures that had graced the island for the pass month. A quick look at the clouds would give anyone the assumption that the heaven’s was considering rather or not it should bless Swallow Island with an abundance of rain.
Linda wished it wouldn’t. She wasn’t a rain type of person despite the many hours at the bar it afforded her. She didn’t carry around an umbrella and she didn’t like the feeling of her hair and clothes glued to her body. That and the appearance of a drowned rat didn’t look good on her. So, yes, she would appreciate it if the universe decided that Swallow Island would be alright without rain. Especially since there was a teen that needed to be trained today and a wet terrain wasn’t ideal. She’d worry about getting Oka use to fighting in horrible weather if she managed to impress her or maintain her interest.
It was a little before the clock struck nine when Linda strode into the pub she had met that white-haired teen at. She didn’t expect to see the teen since she hadn’t actually given the kid a time. So, she would be pleasantly surprised if she saw a mop of white hair and blues eyes staring at her.
