"Ugh..." Junbei said pondering his head for places on Jaya which have materials he might need. "Alright Jade. Honestly, I have no clue. My tonfa were gifted to me from my master. I'm guessing since Mavis and Charlotte are gone on their girls day... We could go looking for materials... Anything in particular you wanted?" Junbei inquired, as the man and Jade sat inside the hotel lobby. "I've gotten most of what we needed for our journey as far as food supplies and such." Junbei said talking to himself, looking at the hotel lobby's walls. The lobby was pretty busy at this time, filled with a mixture of townspeople and pirates all looking for a quick bite before challenges of the day.

It was a pretty good day to Jade so far. He woke up in a good mood, he ate a good breakfast, now he and his captain were going on a mission to find materials to make him a weapon. Well Mavis would probably be making the weapon, which was conventional for him to have a black smith crew mate. "Honestly, I have no clue either cap jun, maybe steel? As I do wish to make a sword or two" he said in response to Junbei. Looks like this would probably be a hard task seeing as neither knew what they needed to look for to make his weapon, Jade wished that Mavis and Charlotte didn't have that girls day off on a day they were needed the most! However Jade was sure that he and Junbei would some how find a way to find these materials.

"Good on the supplies! I'm sure I'll end up being hungry in the next hour" Jade said as he laughed and looked around. He didn't think about it till now but maybe one of the many people would be able to help them. Hey Junbei, you think that maybe one of the many pirates here would know? Or maybe even a local?" He asked suddenly craving a milkshake as he watched people eat. He felt kind of guilty that the captain was trying to help him and all he could think about is more food, man did he need help.

Slamming his hand into his palm, the man was struck with an idea. "I bet Joe would know what's up." Junbei exclaimed. Looking around at the pirates in the room, "I doubt any of them would know about a material shop, or at least a good one anyway." Junbei stated. "Here in Mock Town, most pirates sell their merchandise at mark up, so they can make quick profit. Then the local merchants sell it back at two times the price to the rich Nobles in Up Town." Junbei said, finishing off his cup of coffee, he wasn't particularly hungry, which was weird for him. "Alright. Lemme call up Joe." Junbei said, getting up from the table, he walked over to the hotel's receptionist and borrowed the building's Den Den Mushi. Entering the man's connection number, "Yo." Junbei said as the man Joe answered, groggy from drinking the night before.

"Ughh... What do you want at these hours Junbei?" Joe inquired. "Do you know anyone on this island that deals in metals for swords?" Junbe inquired. "Ugh... Shit. Gimmie a minute woman!" Joe shouted, talking to the girl that was hustling Joe to get dressed. "Sorry about that Junbei. If you want the best metals on the island, going downtown is not the place you should go. It's a little far but on the outskirts of Jaya, there's a place called Mouth Bay, are you familiar with it?" Joe asked. "Yeah, it's where I usually train. I drink in a bar near there sometimes after my sessions." Junbei said. "On the other side of Mouth Bay, there's an old man named Jed." Joe stated.  

"Jed?" Junbei inquired, trying to find out more information about the man's craft. Meanwhile, at the table, a bunch of pirates who were watching the men from a distance, surrounded Jade's table, five in number. "Hey brat... You wouldn't mind us sitting on ya' little breakfast right?" one of the pirate asked, resting his hands on Jade. "Yeah. Jed has the best materials for weapons on the island. He's a bit of a recluse though, he doesn't exactly like people but tell em' good ol' Joe send ya." Joe concluded, lighting a cigarette as he talked. "Thanks Joe. I owe ya' one." Junbei said grinning. "Yeah... A freaking place to work!" the man exclaimed ranting as Junbei hung up the line.

While Jade was still craving his chocolate smothered milkshake, he eventually ordered one while waiting for captain Junbei to come up with something that might help them find a place to get the materials for his swords. When his milkshake finally arrived at the table where he and Junbei where sitting, Junbei slammed his hang into his palm and saying that joe might know something. Jade wished he knew was but before he could ponder anymore Junbei explained how most pirates here only sale and how what the pirates sale ended up in the hands of nobles. Why would nobles need anything a pirate would sale? Well everyone needed to buy something he guessed. "Alright, go joe!" Jade said as he sipped on his very chocolate milkshake and captain Junbei got up too call his friend joe.

As Jade watched captain Junbei call his friend joe, Jade noticed he was being watched by five other pirates a few steps away from him. He didn't like it at all and hates the fact that they where staring at him but he couldn't do anything till they came and bothered him. Jade noticed that his captain was looking over at him right before the gang of pirates decided they wanted to surround the table that they where occupying.

"Hey brat... You wouldn't mind us sitting on ya' little breakfast right?" One of the pirates asked as he rested his hand on Jade's shoulder. "I would love if you took your hand off of my shoulder, sir" Jade said calmly as he took another sip of his milkshake but the pirate didn't listen and his hand continually rested on the shoulder of Jade's. he was getting annoyed now and asked one more time "please get your hand off of my shoulder" he said to the pirate. "How about we just sit down" the ugly pirate man said right before Jade suddenly got up with surprising speed twisted the pirates arm to his back and slammed him on the table right into his milkshake. The rest of his crew looked ready to fight and Jade just looked at his captain right before a brawl started in the middle of their inn lobby. He hoped his captain was done with the phone call now.

Walking back from the receptionist, Junbei noticed that Jade had garnered some unwanted attention. Standing in front of him were two men, who created distance between Junbei and Jade. "Hehe... The boss is busy talking to your friend." the pirate said proudly, cracking his knuckles. "Well. It looks like your boss is having a pretty good time being pressed against the table." Junbei said grinning, pointing towards the seeming Captain who being pressed against the table. "B-B-Boss!" the men exclaimed. Gliding pass the pirates at an alarming speed, Junbei simply walked over to the table, grabbing Jade's arm. "He ain't worth it." Junbei said grinning. "Now boys. I'm glad you came over here. I'll be needing some assistance with some of my errands." Junbei said grinning.

Their pride fleeting the men escorted the two pirates outside, "Follow me." Junbei said. "Alright do you guys have any form of land transportation?" Junbei asked. Clutching onto his arm in pain with tears in his eyes, "Yeah. We got the finest stable of horses from our stop at Tundra the other day. There fastest horses on the seas!" the man said proudly, as he was a beast trainer or veterinarian in trade. As the men exited the lobby, into the street corner, five horse drawn carriages were tied to the hotel's poles, drinking water from the trough. "Alright these will do! That saved me time searching! If we leave now we should make it to Mount Bay by noon!" Junbei said, hopping into the passengers seat.

"Come on boys. Let's go on a journey. I'll need you for the next few hours!" Junbei said grinning. "Why should have to-" the man was going to exclaim as he looked over to Jade, who'd just manhandled their Captain earlier, his ego shrunk smaller than the size of a pea.

Before Jade could do any serious damage to the pirate, the strong hand of the captain Junbei came and grabbed him telling him that they weren't worth it. He was reluctant at first but he eventually just let go and calmly looked at the pirate, if he tried anything else he would surely be in the hospital for several months. No one messes with Jade and gets away with him. After Jade let go of the captain of the pirates that tried to intimidate Jade, he heard captain Junbei speak and proclaimed that he needed some assistance as they lead them outside. He smiled at the pirates as they went outside, he was trying to intimidate them so they wouldn't try anything else knowing they probably wanted too.

When they finally reached outside Junbei asked if they had any transportation and after he caused the man some pain he actually answered and he proudly boasted about the horses they had. "They better be as good as you say" Jade said as he smiled and looked at the man who spoke. They eventually found the horses and Jade was thoroughly impressed on how they look, it seemed that they would live up to the hype that the man claimed so proudly. "Hell yeah!" Jade exclaimed when the captain said they would make it where they needed to be by non, faster than what Jade would have expected, which is better for them since they could get back and have the day for themselves before leaving the island.

His captain jumped into the passenger seat but before Jade could jump in one of the pirates tried to protest joining them. Luckily he looked at Jade while he was smiling and remembered what he did to their captain earlier and jumped in with them. "Ah man Cap'n Jun, it feels good to have people scared of you" Jade said jokingly as he laughed and looked at Jun. this would probably be a very fun ride to find the place and he hoped that they wouldn't cause anymore trouble for them so that they could hurry and get these materials for his weapons!

As the grunts hurried onto the carriage, the pirate captain and his men began preparations for the journey ahead. Whipping against the the horses back, the carriages shot off towards downtown Mock Town, traversing through the marketing district, into the town's entrance point and out into the Jaya Woods. As the horse and carriages advanced along the dirt ridden road, the horses accelerated at swift speeds. Standing up on the passengers seat, Junbei spread his arms outwards, embracing the wind as it danced through his hair. Junbei's voice began to carry as the men travelled, he was humming the chords of what could've been noted as classical music. "Bum Bum" the man's utterances would dictate in their tones. "Dum Dum Dum", the man would continue, ending his utterances.

Looking across at Jade, who was riding on the carriage next to him, he shot a simple smile. Walking into the path of the carriage, attracted by Junbei's singing was a rare breed of bear, which looked sort of like a bore, or was it vice versa. Stepping out into the cart's path, "Stop!" Junbei's shouted to the Captain to stop the cart's pathway. Whipping the horses once again, the carriages journey were stopped by the bear standing on it's two hinds, emerging from the forest, was a sloth of bears. As they roared, eight of them surrounded the carriage, each roar sounding like a pig's snouting was mixed in. Hearing the creatures cry, Junbei couldn't help but breaking down in laughter. "Gishishi Gishishi!" the man exclaimed with tears coming into his eyes.

The bears antagonized, lunge at Junbei with their ferocious claws. Guarding from the bears claws, crossing his tonfa in an 'X' shape formation, Junbei pushed back the bear which lunged at the cart. Abandoning the carts, the pirates attempted to run away towards the bushes, however, there advance was halted by the bears' immense strength.

Jade was loving the change of views as they went through downtown all the way into the woods of Jaya island. It was so beautiful to him because in the town in west blue he was born in wasn't so lush or full of life, it was more barren and full of people who almost let him die. As the the cart pulled along the dirt road Jade snapped out of his thoughts as he saw captain Junbei stood up in his seat and seemed to embrace the nature around him. He seemed to be humming a kind of music that Jade had never heard before and kind of enjoyed it, it sounded sweet in his ears like he could listen for hours if he actually heard the music. Sadly Junbei ended his beautiful music nature embrace and sat back down, smiling at Jade. Jade smiled back "man this is very peaceful, in surprised we haven't been mobbed by any wild animals yet" he said in his head and suddenly, like clockwork, a weird looking bear appeared.

"Jade, why the hell did you say anything" he asked himself right before captain Junbei yelled stop to the driver, who immediately halted as the bear stood on its hind legs in front of the carriage. After they stopped more bears seem to come and Jade was not happy at all, he just had to open his big mouth and say something about animals attacking them. As the bears roared Junbei seemed to laugh and antagonize them, like this would be nothing to him, man did Jade think he was super strong to be antagonizing a creature like this. After Junbei blocked the attack from the bear and seemed prepared for battle, several of the pirates tried to run towards the bushes but where stopped by the bear.

"Awh shit" Jade exclaimed as he quickly jumped from the carriage into the air with a kick that hit the bear that blocked their path in the face. This managed to knock it on the ground and give them enough time to run in another direction. Jade quickly made it to the side of his captain "hey Cap, how we gonna beat all these bears? I'm not as strong as you!" He exclaimed calmly but nervously. Jade just hoped that they made it out of this alive, he had too much in this world to do.

"Don't worry about it Jade." Junbei said grinning. Snapping his fingers, Junbei released a low frequency wave which messed with the bear's hearing patterns, causing them to run away from the carriages location. Placing his tonfa's onto his back, Junbei hopped back onto the carriage, looking around he noticed the pirates had turn tail when they saw the bears emerge from the jungle. "Hop on Jade!" Junbei exclaimed. Shifting around slightly to make room for Jade to sit, Junbei shot off in the front carriage, arriving a few meters short of Mount Bay. Whipping the horse once again to cease their movement, the man hopped off the carriage and they'd made it, almost to there destination. "From here, we pretty much need to travel into the jungle." Junbei stated, looking over his shoulder to Jade.

Stepping out from his shed, Jed noticed that the boar bears were running through the forest scared, as if they'd seen something much bigger and badder than themselves. Banging his hammer against the anvil, the man continued to work on his latest fixture in his smith, smiling as the blade's make simmered against the metallic anvil. Taking off his goggles and wiping his brow of sweat, the man stood up from his stooping position, walking outside the shed. Moving towards the well, the man filled his bucket with at least ten ounces of water. Dipping his wooden mug in the water, the older gentleman gobbled down the water, exhaling in as means to indicate he's feeling quenched.

Just another testimony to his strength, Junbei nonchalantly handled those bears and drove them off some how. Jade didn't want to sound stupid but he was sure Junbei had used some kind of sound wave to scare the bears away, maybe he was just hearing things? He didn't quite know but was glad that the bears were gone and that they where safe. After he watched Junbei put his weapons back and go back to the carriage, Jade looked around for the pirates. They most have gotten away when he kicked that bear in the face, he knew he was right when he said they would run whenever chance they got and they did. What pathetic excuses of a so called pirate, he hoped to never see them again as long as he lived. While he was in his train of thought Junbei called out to him to come back to the carriage so they could go and as soon as Jade hoped in they were off once again, without the annoying band of pirates.

"Hopefully we are close!" Jade thought to himself as the carriage came to a stop, he was concerned that something else might have happened until Junbei hopped off of the cart and said that they would have to travel the rest of the way by jungle. "Oh" Jade said nervously as he hopped out of the cart and started his way into the forest a head of cap'n so he could seem a little brave. Three minutes into it he ran into a spiderweb and almost had a heart attack because he wasn't expecting it, he hoped Junbei wasn't laughing at him too much right now. He blushed as he managed to get the rest of the webs off of him and continue on their way towards their destination. "Man why are jungles so hard to get through" he complained a little.

"Hehe there just spiders... No need to be scared, Jade." Junbei said grinning. As the men trekked through the jungle, Junbei avoided the puddles and various poisonous plants allocated within the jungles dense flora. As the clearing approached, Junbei picked up pace, urging Jade to follow him as he advanced. In front of the men was now a river, it's width was about ten meters. Grabbing onto the Jade's hand, Junbei used his sound abilities to launch himself across the river, transforming his legs into sound waves to propel himself and Jade. After making it to the other side, Junbei dashed towards the small hut, seeing the smoke from the smithery in the sky.

Sitting on his rocking chair in the gallery, the man Jed, enjoyed a peaceful afternoon, until in the distance, he saw two men approaching. Reaching to the side of the rocking chair, the man pulled out his shotgun, pointing it at the two men. "Stop right there boys. Hohohoho..." the man said, pulling at this beard. "I don't know why you two are out this far... I've already told your kind I don't do work for pirates." Jed said with his eyes squinted. Looking at the men's dirty clothes from trekking through the jungle, he assumed that the two men were pirates, which to be honest, he was correct.

"There's two ways this can end. Either you back away slowly or I'll put both yer' in a pinebox like I did everyone else that came here without a recommendation." the man said smiling, showing off his golden teeth.

Jade heard Junbei make fun of him like he knew he would, how embarrassing was it to have your crew captain see you in such a low state, maybe he wouldn't tell the girls about this. After his incident with the spider he let cap'n Junbei take the lead through the mighty jungle that they were currently traversing through. Jade was actually glad because Junbei had managed to dodge all the pounds and the dangerous plants that the jungle had, hell if he was leading he was sure to fall into all of it. He was smart but he sure was a klutz, he really needed to fix that before they headed off from Jaya island to everywhere else in the grandline, he was sure Junbei would help with that.

"Damn" Jade said as they reached a river, it was pretty wide so he didn't now how they were going to cross but before he could say anything else Junbei took his hand. Jade blushed as Junbei crabbed his hand and suddenly they floated across to the other side of the river. "Man i swear i had powers like you!" Jade said, he thought Junbei's powers were the talk of the town since he had never seen anything like that before.

Eventually they reach a small hut that seemed to have an old man sitting in the front of it. He spoke and said that he didn't help pirates, which he seemed to tell from their very dirty clothes, and honestly he couldn't blame him. "Well sit we aren't here to cause any trouble at all! we are here from a man called Joe" Jade said as he looked at his captain for confirmation.

Creating a lasso made out of sound, Junbei whipped the gun out of the old man's hand. "Pointing those kind of things at strangers is rude and unsafe oldman!" Junbei exclaimed chuckling. Plopping onto the ground, "I didn't come here to steal or pillage. This is a new era, pirates aren't all about spoils anymore ya' know." Junbei sighed, as he hated being stereotyped for basic crimes of piracy. "Though, I do enjoy it at times. Gishishsihi." the man exclaimed laughing wholeheartedly. "Besides. I'm not the one who came to talk to you. He did." Junbei said pointing at Jade. "That being said, I'll be taking a nice nap now. You and the old man can converse on what it is you really came here for." Junbei said, walking over to the man's rocking chair and falling asleep.

"Hohohoho... He's pretty rude of a man isn't he?" the man laughed awkwardly and slightly confused. Turning towards the black haired man, "I take it he means you came to see me. What's yer' bone to pick with an oldman like me? If it's my daughter's hand in marriage, she's too too too young to be tied down to some stinking pirate!" the old man hackled at Jade. An alarm went off, signalling to the old man that has latest weapon was complete. "Follow me sonny boy!" the man exclaimed, signalling to Jade to follow him out back to the shed. Junbei slept blissfully in peace.
