Immediately after the terrible incident Ritsu made her way to headquarters while her men went to the ports to deliver the emergency orders in advance. All she needed now was confirmation from the proper authority and they could put Marineford on lockdown to prevent the assassin from escaping and capture him. They needed to know who sent him and what he was after besides killing Celestial Dragons and Nobles. She had every intention of seeing to it that he paid for his crime. Fortunately the rain from earlier had finally come to a stop, however this seemed to be the only stroke of luck the Rear Admiral would have. As soon as she arrived at the main headquarters and put in a request to meet with an Admiral, she received the unfortunate response that they were elsewhere on other important business. She clenched her fist upon hearing about this terrible timing. As for who was in charge of Marineford at the moment, it was a collective effort of several Vice Admirals. It would take too much time to reach out to them all. She stormed out of the place a bit frustrated but accepted that she had to do things the hard way. First she had to get to the nearest port. One of the Vice Admirals should be there and she would start with him and work her way towards getting cooperation from the rest.
On her way down the steps leading up to headquarters, she spotted a Marine entourage coming from the opposite direction. Was it someone important? Most people didn't need an escort in Marineford even if they were officers like her. Such a thing would be reserved for VIPs like Celestial Dragons or members of the Gorosei. There were a few on the island at the moment and that made her mission all the more crucial. They could all be in danger of being killed. As the entourage drew close, Ritsu spotted someone familiar at the head of it all. Well, it was familiar face, but it had at least been a few years since she last saw that person. That person though was someone who could probably solve her biggest problem at the moment. Her fortune seems to have changed for the better.
It would be a bit rude of her but this was an emergency so there wasn't much time to waste on pleasantries and protocol. Ritsu approached her right from the front, saluting as she stood before her.
"Admiral Haba, welcome back to Marineford. I'm Rear Admiral Ritsu and I have an urgent and important report. Apologies for being the bearer of bad news when you just returned, but a Rear Admiral and Prince of one of our allied countries was just killed here on the island about half an hour ago. I would like to request and respectfully urge you to issue a lockdown on Marineford to prevent the man responsible from escaping and capture him. He was last spotted posing as an ensign and could slip away on one of our ships."
"I'm not sure if you have been informed but we also have several members of the Gorosei on the island along with some Celestial Dragons who could be in danger of being targeted by this man. He has already expressed his intentions of going after them."
Ritsu awaited the Admiral's response in the hopes that it would be swift and supportive. She would brief her in on the rest of the details about the killer should she inquire further. But priority would need to go to quick action in securing the island.
