Hunter
Baron went down to the next block, finding another alley with a crowd of about 15 people in it. The people all looked to be in bad shape. Some were fidgeting uncontrollably and others simply looked depressed. Baron realized that these were the people who bought the drugs from the gang members. The fact that these people were all huddled together in this alley made Baron sad. These marines had ruined the lives of these people they were supposed to be protecting, and all just to earn a quick buck. Baron had always believed that the marines were overly noble arrogant assholes who had such a strong moral compass they couldn't relate to regular people. He now saw that the marines were just like the rest of the people on Baltigo. As everything he thought he knew about the marines seemed to be wrong, he found himself still hating them. How were they going to protect the little people if they had no problem ruining their lives. While Baron himself was no hero and he hated the marines for being such, he knew someone had to fill that role. If the world government couldn't produce soldiers that could even accomplish that, they served no purpose is this world, and deserved to be toppled starting with the corrupt man who he saw ruthlessly murder his own soldier for something that was Baron's fault. That man seemed to be the prime example of someone with power that deserved to have it stripped away. Besides, if he wanted to punish someone for Baron's actions, he would have to try and do so to Baron himself.
Out of my way Baron pushed his way through the crowd of people to stand in front of the wall blocking off the two sides of the alley. Baron touched his hand against the wall, and allowed himself to fuse into the wall with his devils fruit powers. There was nothing behind the wall but Baron found that the wall served as a sort of door to a tunnel that was beneath the alley. When Baron was in the tunnel he found himself on a staircase leading downwards. The tunnel was dimly lit by torches that were on the walls all along the tunnel leading down. He went all the way down the stairs until he found himself in a huge room. The room was completely filled with tables upon which sat large stacks of cash. There were two men who were completely focused on counting large stacks of money while sitting in chairs at the far wall. The thing that bothered Baron was that the marine was nowhere to be found however. He had come all this way for nothing.
'Well, if I cant get my prey, ill destroy everything he stands for' Baron thought before he walked over to one of the tables and punched through it, breaking it in half and sending the cash flying all over the room. This caused the two men to look up from counting their money to look at Baron.
Who the 'ell are you? The man on the left side asked. He was wearing an eye patch as well as a traditional black pirate captains hat and coat. He had a lit cigar in his mouth, which he pulled out and held in his hand as he addressed Baron.
Did the boss send you? What do you need to buy? His partner spoke up, his eyes turning into dollar signs at the thought of a potential business deal.
Yeah, I'm here to meet with your boss about some business. Baron decided it was best to try and get the two men to tell him where the marine was instead of just killing them outright.
Nah 'Arry, the boss didn't say anything about any business happening. Why are you really here stranger? 'Fuck' This guy with the eye patch wasn't an idiot like Baron hoped he would be.
That's upsetting, I was really hoping I'd get to make some more money George. I was really looking forward to my cut of this weeks haul, but the idiot got himself arrested. Baron chuckled at the thought of how he already was ruining the business before he decided to actively target it.
Yeah sorry about that. The two looked at Baron in shock that quickly turned to anger after learning he caused their deal to fail.
You're the one responsible for that? Do you have any idea how hard it is to run a profitable drug business on an island where there's so much other illegal activity? This caused Baron to raise an eyebrow. One would think it would be easier on a crime infested island, especially since the marines let them get away with their actions.
With the slave trade being to prominent here, there's always a chance that our clients get taken away from us, so you arresting that idiot and taking our money doesn't help. Baron understood what it was like to be a criminal trying to get things done without being caught by the marines, but these guys were directly working for marines and ruining lives, which made their chances of getting any sympathy non-existent.
It doesn't matter, since I'm going to kill you both and then kill your boss. Baron got into a combat stance and prepared to fight the two drug lords at once.
