Skill Set Name: Setting Sun Bushido
Skill Set Information: Setting Sun Bushido is a customized single sword based martial art that was devised by Kitaro throughout his life.  It emphasizes the mentality that Kitaro takes in battle in that he doesn't fight to be flashy or show his strength but rather to strike down and defeat his enemies with as little effort and time as possible in favor of precision striking or overwhelming force.

In it's high(est)er tiers this skillset allows for the use of skills to be cause ignition based effects by creating an excess of oxygen through compressed air and igniting it via sparks from the metal of the blade. The powers of oxygen and thus the ignition factor that is applied to techniques of this style are based upon Kitsunebi-ryu (Foxfire Style) of the Wano Samurai.

Passives:

  • (Level II Passive) Single Finishing Stroke: This passive ability only activates when the user executes only a single action with their blade. Whether this be the use of a single Skill, or a single standard or basic action such as slashing or parrying, the damage/power of that single action is done at one tier higher than it would normally be executed with.


  • (Level II Passive) Flaming Bushido: A passive ability to blow fires or uses those that exist within the immediate area of 3 meters alongside of basic attacks and skills. This occurs whenever Kitaro chooses to and  performs skills or basic movements with his blade or occurs naturally when there are flames within the 3 meter area. This is made more powerful when using f compressed air skills of the Setting Sun Bushido Style. This occurs by attracting fire that exists within 5 meters of the blade itself upon the use of those skills. This is due to the immediate oxygen gathering resulting from these skills and launching fire inside of the compressed air attacks
    Stamina Cost for Creating Flames: 10
    Stamina Cost for Manipulating Existing Flames: 5

Skillset Strengths:

  • Allows for quick movement and powerful strikes that can overwhelm or batter an enemy.
    Allows for combat to occur at a distance or in close quarters.

Skillset Weaknesses:

  • Limited uses or applications in long range combat, albeit capable of doing so.
  • Reliant on instant or short-term skills and lacking in skills that can continually apply or affect the situation.
  • Requires a bladed weapon to be used

Notes: The  style of fighting known as Setting Sun Bushido, requires a blade to be used at all, though emphasizes the use of the Wano fighting style based upon samurai fighting. Making maximum use of the body in single strikes and quick motions to require as little strength and offer as little opening as possible. The fighting style is fairly straightforward though incorporates an ignition factor based upon creating an excess of oxygen through compressed air and igniting it via sparks from the metal of the blade.The specific uses of this ignition factor will be described individually in the techniques about them. Due to the ignition factor, the material destruction of this style is enhanced against non-metal and non-mineral materials.

Skill Name: Falling Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: 5 Meters (dash distance) + The length of the sword being used.
Speed: User's Own
Description: The user takes a step forward while wielding their weapon and during the swing slides their hand down the hilt of the blade extending the range slightly and adding the momentum of their step to the attack before eventually flicking the wrist during the arcing movement of the slash (vertically or horizontally) adding further to the striking speed of the weapon swing after the attack has begun, intended to off-balance or surprise an opponent with sudden speed and distance.

Skill Name: Shadow Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: Wielded-Sword Range
Speed: User's Own
Description: A trick as much as a Skill in which the user swings their blade and makes a sudden change to the direction or path during the swing. Allowing for the user to maneuver their blade in a way that would be outside of, albeit to a small degree, of the normal human range of wrist and elbow flexibility and likewise incredibly well practiced momentum change of the blade itself.

Skill Name: Splitting Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: 15 Meters
Speed: User's
Description: The user makes a single swing against something incoming damage such as a projectile or a spray of flame or water. Using the blade's strength to create a divide in the incoming attack if possible. Making a slight gust capable of pushing low power [Tier 1] elemental attacks to either side of the user and capable of slicing only a single projectile that fits within the material destruction of this tier.

Skill Name: Resistance Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Supplementary
Range: 10 Meters
Speed: User's Own
Description: The user swings their blade down vertically in front of them in a direct slash while stationary in regard to a single direction from the user's point.  This skill is based on the common air compression among swordsmen to push the wind in a less compressed away in that direction. Reducing the speed of attacks up to Tier 2 by 0.5 Tiers. Also decreasing the speed of physical movement of those directly in front of the user within the range of this technique by 0.5.

Skill Name: Splinter Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Offensive
Range: 15 Meters
Speed: Tier 5
Description:A compressed Air combative swordsman skill of a basic variety.The user performs an offensive movement with their blade, such as a slash or a stab and from that projects a wave of compressed air in the shape and arc of the move performed. projecting a wave of compressed air in the shape of the arc of the strike performed to create the wave of compressed air of this Skill. When this skill makes contact, whatever it makes contact with is damaged and experiences the full force of the attack as if it were made physically against the contact surface it strikes against with the blade in hand. This moves at such high speeds due to an increase in regard to the speed focus of the character, enhanced by the speed focus of the technique.

Skill Name: Cut-Off Cutting

Description: A defensive maneuver in which the user sacrifices their ability to move to take up a position of defensive economy of motion. Sacrificing the user's raw strength and material destruction capabilities, this skill allows the user to block exponentially more attacks simultaneously or throughout the posts that this Skill is used during. Allowing for the user to re-direct incoming strikes or alter the course of incoming projectiles by angular momentum and quick precise movements of the blade as described above. This Skill remains active for a single post and can be used on a single Tier 3 attack, two Tier 2 attacks, or four Tier 1 attacks in that time.

Tier 3 Skills:

Skill Name: Setting Sun
Tier: 3
Type Offensive
Range: Double Weapon Range
Speed: User's Own
Description: Setting Sun is an advanced variation of the Falling Star Skill. Flicking the wrist and swinging the blade with such sudden speed that it creates friction along the blade itself. When a strike using this Skill makes contact with a surface of metal materials it will create a small cone of fire extending from the point of contact in the direction struck, the same total distance of the user's weapon's range. This fire cannot pass through any solid objects and would be stopped against any solid, burning it if possible or dissipating if not. When this Skill makes contact with a flammable material [Wood, Cloth, etc.] it causes the material to become aflame in addition to the cone of fire.

Skill Name: Rising Sun
Tier: 3
Type Offensive
Range: Weapon
Speed: User's Own
Description: A powerful striking skill causing an ignition factor upon contact. Striking with Strength and Speed in a way that causes friction and the metal of the blade to spark upon contact, Rising Sun is a Skill designed to caused an explosive cone in the opposite direction of the user when the blade makes contact with another physical object. The explosion is based upon the Strength of the user and it's damaging potential is 1 tier higher than the user's Strength Tier in the form of an explosive cone expands a total of five meters long and two and a half meters wide.

Tier 4 Skills:

Skill Name: Gamma Ray
Tier: 4
Type Offensive
Range: 10 Meters per User Speed
Speed: Tier 7
Description: A powerful and advanced variant of the Splinter Cutting Skill. Like all variations as well as the original form of this Skill, the Gamma Ray Skill projects a wave of compressed air from the user's blade in the shape of the strike that is used to project it. However, the Gamma Ray Skill expands to cover a width of ten meters and a height of four meters while it covers it's range. With damage one tier higher than that of the user's basic attacking ability and traveling incredibly fast. This moves at such high speeds due to an increase in regard to the speed focus of the character, enhanced by the speed focus of the technique.

Unlike the previous versions of this ability, the Gamma Ray Skill does not stop when it makes contact but rather pushes in it's entirety to the end of it's range. If it meets something that it cannot destroy, it becomes a means of pushing it back to that range unless manuevered away from or completely overwhelmed itself. When Gamma Ray comes into contact with something, it causes damage similar to the user directly swinging their blade against it at the moment of contact and continuously applies the same kind of pressure throughout it's passing, occurring quickly and in the duration of a single post causing a variable maximum range.

Skill Name: Prism Ray
Tier: 4
Type Offensive
Range: Double Weapon Length
Speed: User's Own
Description: Prism Ray is a skill designed for overwhelming opponents. Being made of a numerous amount of precise strikes that directly affect the strength of them. The user performs a flurry of slashes, lunges, stabs, and cuts simultaneously as fast as the user's Speed. Using a combination of compressed air to create additional strikes as well as incredibly economic, quick, and enhanced movements as a result of this Skill. Further using the compressed air to vary the range and size of the blade in each kind of strike by increasing the air being compressed around each one. The maximum that the blade is capable of being enhanced with this to achieve is that of double the length and double the width of the blade being used for this Skill. This Skill causes the user to attack ten times in this fashion.

The sudden change in direction or the path of the blade is hidden from the view of those with a perception attribute of half of the user's or lower by shadowing the strike as it was originally intended and appearing to traverse that same path to those who do not meet the aforementioned perception attribute ability to see through it. what does your perception have to do with theirs in seeing your blade? change this to something like "unless their perception is half of the users speed they cannot see the attack" or something along that line, which really isn't necessary when one thinks about it, and how does rounding works? down I presume, and as the perception x speed laws are that if someones speed is 3 tiers above someone elses perception its invisible I would say that the same rules applies here.

Skill Name: Shooting Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: 20 Meters perception isn't priority thus lower this to like, 10-15 meters, the next person grading this will be the final voice though.
Speed: Uuuhm? The speed should be the technique +2 for the projectiles traveling speed seeing as you're a speed primary
Description: The user swings their weapon in a powerful single stroke projecting their slash as a wave of compressed air outward from the blade in the shape of the strike itself. The distortion of the air is visible and slightly orange in hue traveling through the air and travels up to the maximum range of this Skill before dissipating into the air around it and becoming harmless. However, while traveling within the range of this Skill, this compressed air is capable of striking with the same force and cutting power as physically encountering the user's blade in the same manner of strike as that of the strike originating this wave. Width and height of the compressed air slash? or is it the same as the sword?

Tier 2 Skills:

Skill Name: Current Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Supplementary
Range: 10 Meters
Speed: User + 0.5 remove the buff from here and add it in the description instead.
Description: The user swings their blade down vertically in front of them in a direct slash while moving in a direction. This Skill is only capable of moving them directly forward from the position they are facing. This works by using an advanced variation of the Shooting Star compressed air Skill to create a tunnel of lacking wind resistance for half of the range of that Skill [10 meters] for the user to travel through. This tunnel posseses less natural resistance and thus allows the user to move any distance up to the maximum of this range through this region of air at an increased speed while otherwise behaving normally.

Skill Name: Splinter Cutting

Description: Another advanced variation of the Shooting Star compressed air Skill. Following the same pattern as the original Skill and projecting a wave of compressed air in the shape of the arc of the strike performed to create the wave of compressed air of this Skill. After the strike is initially performed the compressed air will travel the normal distance, splintering off every five meters. After the first five meters the compressed air will split into two, both different from the original path. After ten meters each will split ino two once more and deviate again for the final ten meters. As before, the compressed air will strike with the same force as if it the sword itself had struck the target in the same manner as the compressed air strikes the target.

Skill Name: Unified Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Supplementary
Range: Weapon
Speed: User's Own
Description: A manipulation of the compressed air Skills that derive from the Shooting Star Skill. Using this skill, the user may withold the launch of the compressed air until the following post, instead opting to maintain the wave of air around the blade itself, extending the range of the weapon being used by half of the length of the blade and applying a damage buff equal to half of the tier (including half tiers if possible rather than rounding) of the Compressed Air Skill's Tier to the damage output of the blade for the single post of duration, launching the compressed air as the first action of the user's following post. This Skill  can only be used once every three of the user's posts.

Tier 3 Skills:

Skill Name: Setting Sun
Tier: 3
Type Offensive
Range: Double Weapon Range
Speed: User's Own
Description: Setting Sun is an advanced variation of the Falling Star Skill. Flicking the wrist and swinging the blade with such a speed that it creates friction as well as a tunnel of compressed air in front of and behind the blade itself, following the same path as the arc of the blade. Doubling the range by the volume of compressed air around the blade itself. Upon making contact with anything, the compressed air tunnels behind and in front of the blade will collapse onto the point of contact and the friction will spark simultaneously, igniting the surface of the object that has been struck as well as striking with an additional tier of damage to the user's own.

I know there has been some talk about this skillset in the chatbox for the next person to grade it and such. As for what has been asked for, I believe the edits that have been made should be reasonable to make this skillset work and for what could not be changed due to uncomfortability in the grading process, it is now ready to be graded again.

Basically, edited up some to make it more clear and further it's readiness to be graded. Ready for check 2.

Skill Name: Falling Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: 5 Meters (dash distance) + The length of the sword being used.
Speed: User's Own
Description: The user takes a step forward while wielding their weapon and during the swing slides their hand down the hilt of the blade extending the range slightly and adding the momentum of their step to the attack before eventually flicking the wrist during the arcing movement of the slash (vertically or horizontally) adding further to the striking speed of the weapon swing after the attack has begun, intended to off-balance or surprise an opponent with sudden speed and distance.

Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: Wielded-Sword Range
Speed: User's Own
Description: A trick as much as a Skill in which the user swings their blade and makes a sudden change to the direction or path during the swing. This technique increases not the speed but the difficulty applied against the target's perception attribute by 0.5 tiers. The difficulty in tracking this move is done by; shadowing the strike as it was originally intended and appearing to traverse that same path to those who do not meet the aforementioned perception attribute ability to see through it.

Skill Name: Shooting Star
Tier: 1
Type Offensive
Range: 15 Meters
Speed: User's
Description: The user swings their weapon in a powerful single stroke projecting their slash as a wave of compressed air outward from the blade in the shape of the strike itself. The distortion of the air is visible and slightly orange in hue traveling through the air and travels up to the maximum range of this Skill before dissipating into the air around it and becoming harmless. However, while traveling within the range of this Skill, this compressed air is capable of striking with the same force and cutting power as physically encountering the user's blade in the same manner of strike as that of the strike originating this wave with the same physical dimensions of the blade.

Air slashes are tier 2 techs at the lowest levels

Tier 2 Skills:

Skill Name: Current Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Supplementary
Range: 10 Meters
Speed: User's Own
Description: The user swings their blade down vertically in front of them in a direct slash while moving in a direction. This Skill is only capable of moving them directly forward from the position they are facing. This works by using an advanced variation of the Shooting Star compressed air Skill to create a tunnel of lacking wind resistance for half of the range of that Skill [10 meters] for the user to travel through. This tunnel possess less natural resistance and thus allows the user to move any distance up to the maximum of this range through this region of air at an increased speed while otherwise behaving normally. This also gives a small buff of 0.5 to the user's speed.

Seems to much for wind manipulation, given all wind from a blade is slicing based, im going to have to say no

Skill Name: Splinter Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Offensive
Range: 15 Meters
Speed: User's Own, +2 for projectiles. tier four for projectiles
Description: Another advanced variation of the Shooting Star compressed air Skill. Following the same pattern as the original Skill and projecting a wave of compressed air in the shape of the arc of the strike performed to create the wave of compressed air of this Skill. After the strike is initially performed the compressed air will travel the normal distance, splintering off every five meters. After the first five meters the compressed air will split into two, both different from the original path. After ten meters each will split ino two once more and deviate again for the final ten meters. As before, the compressed air will strike with the same force as if it the sword itself had struck the target in the same manner as the compressed air strikes the target.

far too advanced for a tier 2, the ability to also have air waves splintering and changing their direction and so forth with only a single swing makes no sense, also in the description it seems to be that your attack travels in total 35 meters which is way too much for someone lacking perception for a singular direction attack in a tier 2 assault.

Skill Name: Unified Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Supplementary
Range: Weapon
Speed: User's Own
Description: A manipulation of the compressed air Skills that derive from the Shooting Star Skill. Using this skill, the user may withold the launch of the compressed air until the following post, instead opting to maintain the wave of air around the blade itself, extending the range of the weapon being used by half of the length of the blade and applying a damage buff equal to half of the tier (including half tiers if possible rather than rounding) of the Compressed Air Skill's Tier to the damage output of the blade for the single post of duration, launching the compressed air as the first action of the user's following post. This Skill  can only be used once every three of the user's posts.

Going to have to say no, I realize your skill set is about oxygen manipulation in a way but that is not an ability we could just give out to swordsman without any form of fruit or dial use.

Tier 3 Skills:

Skill Name: Setting Sun
Tier: 3
Type Offensive
Range: Double Weapon Range
Speed: User's Own
Description: Setting Sun is an advanced variation of the Falling Star Skill. Flicking the wrist and swinging the blade with such a speed that it creates friction as well as a tunnel of compressed air in front of and behind the blade itself, following the same path as the arc of the blade. Doubling the range by the volume of compressed air around the blade itself. Upon making contact with anything, the compressed air tunnels behind and in front of the blade will collapse onto the point of contact and the friction will spark simultaneously, igniting the surface of the object that has been struck as well as striking with an additional tier of damage to the user's own.

Again, tunnels are a no, swordsman wind assaults are based fully on cutting being extentions of the blades themselves. In no way could i allow the ability to manipulate wind to such an extent without an actual fruit.

Skill Name: Rising Sun

Range: Weapon
Speed: User's Own
Description: A powerful striking skill causing an ignition factor upon contact. Striking with Strength and Speed in a way that causes friction and the metal of the blade to spark upon contact, Rising Sun is a Skill designed to caused an explosive cone in the opposite direction of the user when the blade makes contact with another physical object. The explosion is based upon the Speed and Strength of the user and it's damaging potential is 1 tier higher the average of these two attributes in regard to the user of this Skill. explosive cone expands a total of five meters long and two and a half meters wide.

Tier 4 Skills:

Skill Name: Gamma Ray
Tier: 4
Type Offensive
Range: 10 Meters per User Speed
Speed: User's Own
Description: A powerful and advanced variant of the Shooting Star Skill. Like all variations as well as the original form of this Skill, the Gamm Ray Skill projects a wave of compressed air from the user's blade in the shape of the strike that is used to project it. However, the Gamma Ray Skill expands to cover a width of ten meters and a height of four meters while it covers it's range. With damage one tier higher than that of the user's basic attacking ability and traveling incredibly fast. This also will give a small buff of +1 tier to the user's own speed. how longs this buff for? is it simply for the swing of the strike?

Unlike the previous versions of this ability, the Gamma Ray Skill does not stop when it makes contact but rather pushes in it's entirety to the end of it's range. If it meets something that it cannot destroy, it becomes a means of pushing it back to that range unless manuevered away from or completely overwhelmed itself. When Gamma Ray comes into contact with something, it causes damage similar to the user directly swinging their blade against it at the moment of contact and continuously applies the same kind of pressure throughout it's passing, occurring quickly and in the duration of a single post causing a variable maximum range.

Type Offensive
Range: Double Weapon Length
Speed: User's Own
Description: Prism Ray is a skill designed for overwhelming opponents. Being made of a numerous amount of precise strikes that directly affect the strength of them. The user performs a flurry of slashes, lunges, stabs, and cuts simultaneously as fast as the user's Speed. Using a combination of compressed air to create additional strikes as well as incredibly economic, quick, and enhanced movements as a result of this Skill. Further using the compressed air to vary the range and size of the blade in each kind of strike by increasing the air being compressed around each one. The maximum that the blade is capable of being enhanced with this to achieve is that of double the length and double the width of the blade being used for this Skill. For every ten strikes made using this skills, beyond the initial ten, the strength of damage of this Skill is reduced by one tier.

Skillset information: Changed to include it being based and derived from the Foxfire style.

Shadow Star: Removed all attribute information and applications involving them and changed it to be an enhancement to flexibility for the sake of a single strike.

Shooting Star: Changed to Splitting Star which is based upon the traditional "cutting the bullet" idea and applies to the incoming attacks. Basically a whole new skill.

Tunnel Cutting: Tunnel Cutting has been changed to Resistance Cutting and works in an opposite to the original effect, creating a single direction debuff to low power attacks or people coming directly at him from head on.

Splinter Cutting: Has been reduced to a more simplistic version of compressed air swordsmanship. Though the maximum range was to remain the same and the attack to be weakened with splitting, irrelevant now.

Unified Cutting: Has been changed to Cut-Off Cutting which is a defensive skill that offers no bonuses and suffers a drawback of the ability to move to enhance the amount of sheerly defensive actions that the character can take in a single posting round.

Setting Sun: Has been de-powered to have a requirement for the explosive effect to occur and have removed the use of compressed air and wind manipulation/tunneling to achieve a fire rather than explosive effect.

Rising Sun: Removed the Speed power basis/enhancement and focused entirely on Strength for the sake of this Skill

Gamma Ray: Cleared up the Speed Buff only applying to the Skill itself based on projectiles and applying the Tier 4, +2 bonus that you mentioned in regard to the original Splinter Cutting note that only Tier 4 gets that bonus for projectiles.

Skill Name: Cut-Off Cutting
Tier: 2
Type Defensive
Range: Weapon
Speed: User's Own
Description: A defensive maneuver in which the user sacrifices their ability to move to take up a position of defensive economy of motion. Sacrificing the user's raw strength and material destruction capabilities, this skill allows the user to block exponentially more attacks simultaneously or throughout the posts that this Skill is used during. Allowing for the user to make a move to defend against attacks up to the user's tier in speed, a maximum of double the number of the user's Speed Tier in a single post.
Tier 1: Two Defensive Actions
Tier 2: Four Defensive Actions
Tier 3: Six Defensive Actions
Tier 4: Eight Defensive Actions
Tier 5: Ten Defensive Actions
Tier 6: Twelve Defensive Actions

Being tier 2, this would only allow you to defend against a single tier 3, two tier 2's or four tier 1s before the technique would need to be re-activated

Prism Ray needs a definite number of strikes.

Go through all your skills and those that use projectiles need an actual number not just a +2 but state the actual speed number instead.

Prism Ray: Added a definitive number of ten strikes.

Projectiles; Splinter Cutting and Gamma Ray have had Tier numbers added to the Speed.
