It had been a rather calmed day. It seemed as though this was some sort of ironic fatalism, given the rather unnerving news that after serving five years under the 28th Branch as a non-commisioned officer, he had ben transferred to the South Blue where he would commandeer an entire regiment of a Branch. Leadership had never been one of Damocles's strong suit. If anything he preferred to be the one firing the arrow than being the one who gave the order to fire the volley. He liked getting his hands dirty and messy. To deprive him of combat and force him to spearhead an entire group was something that he did into enjoy that much. However, it wouldn't be that bad. At least he still had enough flexibility to maneuver between administrating a crew and fighting debauched pirates.
Right now, the still rather fresh rookie Marine was musing over his circumstance. A half-drunk glass of rum was swinged go and fro by his hands. He was deep in thought, but he had no idea of what he was thinking about. In order to at least ge tot know the names of his regiment, the now-promoted officer had asked his subordinates to round up inside one of the busier bars inside one of the towns of the Kingdom of Briss. He tried to calm down his nerves, telling himself that they, his crew, will be a manageable bunch and not a crowd of rowdy, uncontrollable rebels.
