Qilin had been here since yesterday he didn’t bother to go home. He rested upon the edge of a small makeshift barge that the locals had been using. The barge was being used to transport sea salts that took up about 1/3 of the space currently on the 35x19 foot flatboat made of polished wood. The containers of the sea salts were wooden crates stacked about 8ft high all filled to capacity. The young slayer himself stayed perched on the edge looking out at the large mass of water which surrounded him. He was several miles from the coast but he would be there sooner or later. He loved the water for some reason or the other it just relaxed him. This was one of the few things he adored the sea around Karate Island.
Although he was well relaxed he would never get too comfortable under any circumstances. He was worth more than his weight in beli and as always every fiber of his being was ready to spring into action. He was on the balls of his feet yet maintained perfect balance a testament to his physical training. Eyes of a soft brown nature scanned far and wide as his natural senses stayed peaked to anything out of the ordinary. The barge had hit a few currents along the way and thus its entire body was extremely slick with the combination of salt and water hence one of the reasons Qilin stood at the edge. He had many times almost slipped from walking at a slow pace. Even though the small 1 ½ foot area he was standing in was also wet and moderately dangerous it was however far less than the rest of the area. The water right now was calm serene yet he could see the current picking up ahead. He would have to do what he always did when that time came. Well today was the day he guessed….what day was it again?
