"There was once a girl who was born into a Kingdom that was illiterate and docile with life. She wasn't the strongest or the fiercest of her kind before her... but she was brighter than any star than shone in the sky. Her mother named her Alexandria. Alexandria was the first of her kind, not literally but figuratively, she was the most beautiful, most endearing and most quick witted of Oharian's at the time. However, as she learned all they're was to be learned... She felt empty on the inside." L.A Richards stopped to sip her ale."When Alexandria turned thirteen, her childhood mentor, Osyrus was protective of the girl. He would often be scowl at those made fun of her or put her down because of their lack of intellect. When Alexandria turned eighteen, Osyrus vowed to follow her forever and as such, the two went on a voyage to quell Alexandria's thirst for knowledge. Alexandria and Osyrus alone voyage to uncharted lands, collecting books of all kinds. Magic, Alchemy, Biology, Scientist, it didn't matter... Alexandria just possessed the hunger to learn and Osyrus as well.
However, knowledge meant different things for the two personages. Osyrus became tainted with the knowledge he had gained and saught to live forever with Alexandria. However, Alexandria never desired eternal life. Just a long enough life that she could consume and collect all the knowledge known to man in one library. A library that she could share between all parties alike. Poor, rich or the weird middle ground... Knowledge for all who desire it. After the first Great War... the World Government desired that all history books documenting the result be hidden from the public... but Alexandria didn't comply. They even offered her nation entrance into the Celestial Dragons... but she refused. Infuriated, the World Government sent the Cipher Pol to annihilate Alexandria and her kind. However, they were massacred by Osyrus. Osyrus was severely injured from the conflict and using necromancy and alchemy, Alexandria granted Osyrus long long wish of immortality. This is where my ancestors came in... Kent and Moyra Richards created a system to sink the library underground, creating a great tree to cover the catacombs. Which had always existed beneath the island. The People of Ohara had a choice now, live above the land under the World Governments rule, promising to never speak of Alexandria again or live with her in eternal darkness.... Only Osyrus and few others stayed. Alexandria grew happy for the first few decades, then she grew lonesome and longed for companionship. The Queen of Ohara fell for a surface dweller, who had stumbled into Alexandria, well, the city and eventually, her heart. The Pirate surface dweller, left Ohara with a female heir who was born shortly after the adventurer departed. During the birth... Alexandria, First Queen of the Great Library Nation, Alexandria, died." L.A. Richards concluded.
Zeke and Xylo huddled around the lamp post of the deck, as the sun set on they're journey towards the West Blue. It was about a day or so since they had departed from Logue Town. "I didn't know this story ran so deep. When my friend, Kempt told me about the library and the log, he said it was a library, I didn't know it was a whole nation." Zeke stated. "Alexandria is the Land of Two things, the Land of Knowledge and the Land of the Hommunculi, artificial human life." L.A. Richards said. "So they say." Richards also added looking away shadily. "Oi" Zeke said with peering eyes. "Have you ever been to Alexandria?" Zeke inquired with a skeptical expression. "All of this was but a myth told to me when I was a child. Alexandria could very well be a folk story told to empower the descendants of Ohara. However, as a child, I would visit the Great Tree library and certain parts of the cellar were off limits unless you were an archaeologist. When the Great Tree was burnt and the ship my family was on as well... Few of us survived." L.A. Richards said trembling. "However... to be quite frank. I do believe the library and the city of Alexandria exist. It all correlates to a Poneglyth I read in my journey to Amazon Lilly. 'In the Sea of the West lies a woman of our heart but not our kind. They're lies the secrets that can erase man and time.' Notice it reads, 'They are' and not 'their'." L.A Richards said, pointing out the equivocating in the last part.
"I trust Kempt. If he says the Log is there, then it must be." Zeke said. "You keep saying Log... what do you speak of?" L.A. Richards asked bluntly. "When I was in a rehab facility, the library in Centurea had quite a few books. I often read them when I had lost my grip on reality..." Zeke said trailing off. "Once upon a time... I was once a marine. In another life, you could say. Though very much during my lifetime. I had a wife, who was my childhood sweetheart and closest friend... She had a child from her previous relationship... We lived happily running a library actually. All of that was taken from me, due to a rare case of people disappearing in Briss Kingdom. This was happening since young... I always wanted to flee Briss... but after finding Eureka... I thought that I could settle down and solve my childhood mystery and have my wife... Sadly... they both conflicted." Zeke said with the deadest eyes possible. "That night... the moon really did swallow earth... " Zeke said giggling. Snapping back to reality, "Right... the book I read the asylum was the Seven Legends of Paradise. One of the Seven Legends was divided into many volumes of books. Each book was said to be filled out in detailed logs... information on Devil Fruits. I'm searching for a particular fruit. " Zeke said grinning. "Such as?" Richards asked. "Now thats'... a secret for now." Zeke said, placing his finger over his mouth. Kuro Hare had awoken from underneath Zeke's hat, peeping out and jumping onto Xylo's shirt, scampering onto the man's shoulder. "For some odd reason... he seems to like you Xylo. I guess you're popular with the ladies." Zeke said bursting out in laughter. Leaping off of Xylo's shirt, Kuro Hare dashed to the Cabin door, which lead down into the lower levels of the ship. More specifically, the storage rooms and the kitchen. Scratching on the door, as if he wanted it to be opened.
