Time for a new voyage... Linnea had spent the last year in South Blue - certainly nowhere near enough to actually consider it fully explored - but she found herself in the need of new training, new experiences to grow even stronger. At this level she wouldn't be ready for the Grand Line anytime soon. After years exploring the North Blue, she wasn't really feeling like going back there, which left both East and West Blue yet unexplored. She finally settled on West Blue, hoping to meet up with her friend Melissa who was apparently there with her crew as well. After a long wait at the docks, everyone who expressed interest in coming with her finally arrived. At the very least, she expected Liara, Mea and Nicky to be joining her for this little expedition away from their favorite hub in Karate Island. She did however invite everyone else along too, so if they got the messages and expressed interest, she'd be waiting.
"Hello everyone!", greeted an oddly cheerful Linnea with a wide grin. For some reason she looked a lot happier than usual, all of it due to the brimming eagerness to finally put her new ship to the test. She had rigged it with the square sails for high speed, trans-oceanic travel, and with this much wind, they'd be pressing Westwards without much trouble.
The winds were strong and the sea was calm, the skies were clear and the ship was just about brand new. Up until now the Melusine had only sailed throughout the South Blue, not once had Linnea ventured into one of the four blues. The ship was capable of not only that, but entering the Grand Line too, whenever the time finally came.
"Jyooooo!", Sengoku came squaking back down from his exploratory flight of the surrounding sea, earning a petting from a smiling Linnea as he finally perched himself next to her. Thanks to her brave bird's help, Linnea didn't really need a navigator for something as simple as exploring the Four Blues, even if she finally had a navigator who she could rely on.
With its beak pointing straight south, a map was all she needed, since Sengoku did this job better than any compass. After all, a compass couldn't fly off and scout ahead to ensure she was heading in the right direction. Together with Nicky, they were able to keep the ship pointed in the right direction, towards the red line where they'd finally be able to cross into the West Blue. The journey wasn't nearly as long as one might have expected it too, they even had to cope with a nasty storm in the final parts of the journey...
Fortunately herself and her navigator were more than enough to keep the ship on a steady course, and before long they sailed in completely different waters: The Melusine had finally crossed into the West Blue. Linnea smiled, eagerly gazing into the horizon as the sun rose at long last, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. This throbbing in her chest whenever she visited a place she'd never gone before... Nothing could quite add up to that feeling, she relished every bit of it, knowing it was never as strong as when she entered a whole new ocean. What manner of adventures would she be able to experience here? Only time would tell...
