Naga D. Linnea

Naga D. Linnea

Time for a new voyage... Linnea had spent the last year in South Blue - certainly nowhere near enough to actually consider it fully explored - but she found herself in the need of new training, new experiences to grow even stronger. At this level she wouldn't be ready for the Grand Line anytime soon. After years exploring the North Blue, she wasn't really feeling like going back there, which left both East and West Blue yet unexplored. She finally settled on West Blue, hoping to meet up with her friend Melissa who was apparently there with her crew as well. After a long wait at the docks, everyone who expressed interest in coming with her finally arrived. At the very least, she expected Liara, Mea and Nicky to be joining her for this little expedition away from their favorite hub in Karate Island. She did however invite everyone else along too, so if they got the messages and expressed interest, she'd be waiting.

"Hello everyone!", greeted an oddly cheerful Linnea with a wide grin. For some reason she looked a lot happier than usual, all of it due to the brimming eagerness to finally put her new ship to the test. She had rigged it with the square sails for high speed, trans-oceanic travel, and with this much wind, they'd be pressing Westwards without much trouble.

The winds were strong and the sea was calm, the skies were clear and the ship was just about brand new. Up until now the Melusine had only sailed throughout the South Blue, not once had Linnea ventured into one of the four blues. The ship was capable of not only that, but entering the Grand Line too, whenever the time finally came.

"Jyooooo!", Sengoku came squaking back down from his exploratory flight of the surrounding sea, earning a petting from a smiling Linnea as he finally perched himself next to her. Thanks to her brave bird's help, Linnea didn't really need a navigator for something as simple as exploring the Four Blues, even if she finally had a navigator who she could rely on.

With its beak pointing straight south, a map was all she needed, since Sengoku did this job better than any compass. After all, a compass couldn't fly off and scout ahead to ensure she was heading in the right direction. Together with Nicky, they were able to keep the ship pointed in the right direction, towards the red line where they'd finally be able to cross into the West Blue. The journey wasn't nearly as long as one might have expected it too, they even had to cope with a nasty storm in the final parts of the journey...

Fortunately herself and her navigator were more than enough to keep the ship on a steady course, and before long they sailed in completely different waters: The Melusine had finally crossed into the West Blue. Linnea smiled, eagerly gazing into the horizon as the sun rose at long last, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. This throbbing in her chest whenever she visited a place she'd never gone before... Nothing could quite add up to that feeling, she relished every bit of it, knowing it was never as strong as when she entered a whole new ocean. What manner of adventures would she be able to experience here? Only time would tell...

It hadn't taken Nicholas long to gather his things. Most of his stuff was on the ship anyway. He had already picked out a room for himself and everything since he had decided to join up with Linnea's crew. So it was to be expected to see the crew's navigator swagger onto the ship, hands in his coat pockets and a smile on his face when their lovely captain greeted them. "Nicholas Edison reporting for duty ma'am!" he said with a chuckle in his voice, saluting her before heading over to his position. It wasn't long before the rest of the group were aboard, and this ship was on its way to the West Blue. This would be the third Blue Nicholas had been to, having originated from the North. It shouldn't be too much trouble. After all, he had managed to get to the South in a scrap boat he had made himself. Sure, the thing fell apart when he landed on Centaureua, but hey, he made it didn't he?

Still, he couldn't help but feel that he was a little, well, unneeded for this trip. After all, Linnea had her bird, who seemed fairly adept at navigating on her own. While he was allowed to help, there was more that sense that he was just there for reassurance, and that he wasn't of any real importance. He tried to shake those thoughts from his mind. If he wasn't needed, why would she ask him to join her crew? Besides, with waters as calm as these, it really wasn't too hard to navigate.

The voyage really went off without a hitch. No storms, no crazy pirates trying to attack them, no marines trying to apprehend them, no seakings trying to eat them (hey, it could happen!). He wasn't sure how much time had passed, but he could tell (and he was pretty certain his captain could too), that they had crossed over that boarded into the West Blue. Most people wouldn't really know it, since it just looked like more water as far as the eye could see, but a skilled navigator such as himself, and judging by her expression, his captain also, could tell when they crossed that invisible line on the map.

"My dear captain," Nicholas said with a bit of flourish, "Allow me to welcome you, to the West Blue!" Sure, it seemed strange to be welcoming her to a place he himself had never been to, but hell, the moment called for it. Straightening his coat, he looked down at the map before them, looking over the West Blue. According to the map they had, there were four main places of interest (and since one was clearly a marine base, that only left three). Sure, there were other islands, but those three stood out. "Now then," he spoke up, "Tell me captain, where shall we go now? We have," he pointed to one island, "Island A!" the next one, "Island B," and finally, "And Island C! Take your pick captain! The ocean's the limit!"

the doctor of the crew was the last to hear of the moving over to the west blue and it somehow made her worry a lot more then she had planned it to worry her. she had barely studied for any illness that could have popped up in the west blue and if she didn't hurry up and get all the books she could to study for the trip, then she would have failed her duties as the medic and failed her dream of becoming the worlds best doctor, and that was not something Mea could give up on so easily. Mea would rather have died then to let her dream be deemed a failure right for the start of her being a doctor of a crew, she was determined to keep going to become the worlds best doctor so then she would never have been forget ever again.

Still very stressed out about traveling to a new Blue, Mea would be running around her cabin, getting each and every piece of equipment she had in their right places, making sure that they were at the right spot in their shelves as they were in her mind, not making a single mistake or missing a single detail off. putting her hammock down, Mea would have cleaned up each and every last possible part of her cabin, her desk and all of her shelves, and not a single part of it was covered in dust or any rubbish, medical ingredient or failed experiments remains. it was all done just in time before the ship seemed to have set sailed. Mea was feeling a little excited about the whole experience she and the rest of the crew was about to go on, but also a little scared at the same time, worried that she may fail the rest of the crew being the doctor, where she had no knowledge of any medicine or illness from the west blue, thus she needed to study on the west blue to earn more information on it to prevent her from making any mistakes that could become fatal.

Mea would go up from her cabin to see how everyone was getting on, seemingly just trying her best to not make any trouble so then everyone could work at their best and ensure that they arrived in the west blue safely, while minimizing potential damage to the ship. Seeing Nicholas and Linnea out and about, Mea would head over to them and report on her work. "Mea Kurosaki, reporting for duty, Sis, Navigator. i have finished putting all my medical equipment, medical books and everything in my office away and made sure that it was clean and sterilize to ensure no germs can enter any wounds on my patients bodies. once we get to a west blue island, i want to get a book to research the illness and medicines on this part of the world, to ensure i don't make any fatal mistakes." Mea said in a very joyful and happy tone, glad that everyone was working their hardest to ensure they got to land all in one piece.

Ike had only a high quality back that he carried with him to the ship that Naga told him to meet her by. In his backpack he kept some clothes, food, and momento from his home town of Foosha Village. The momento was a picture and in the picture was: Ike, his mother, his father, his older brother, and his grandpa before the illness took his mother. He would pull out the picture while traveling to the destination he promised to meet her at. The picture almost severed as comfort before a single tear would drop down the young pirates face and quickly putting the picture away.

Despite Ike’s normal attire he had his sleeveless red zip up sweatshirt, but he had Naga’s jolly roger printed on his sweatshirt. Although it seemed like a big step to print their logo onto his sweatshirt, but he decided if he was going to join a crew he might as well go big or go home. In addition, he still wore the same black fitted capris with his trademark sandals. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice over the small hill that he needed to go up that lead to the docks where they are supposed to meet at to venture out.

Making it over the hill he could see Naga and her crew preparing to travel from South Blue to somewhere in the West Blue (she wasn’t super specific), but that didn’t matter to the young pirate. “Hey everyone!”, Ike eagerly yelled out to everyone as he rushed down the hill ready to meet everyone he is supposed to be traveling with. So far there was Naga, a male that was dressed rather nice, and a another girl who was similar in age to him or at least she seemed to be. “Hey, I am Ike D. Souji, nice to meetcha ya!”, the gum gum eater smiled brightly at them as he greeted the group with handshakes and hugs. Suddenly a rather large bird of some species that was completely unknown to Ike landed on the Captains shoulder. That certain moment shocked Ike a little which caused him to flinch a little, but this allowed him to turn his attention to their ship. “WOW! So, cool!”, he said in amazement as he careful analyzed the boat that was before him.

He could tell just by looking at it that this boat must seriously hit some speeds when it’s moving through the ocean. ‘This ship has some serious mobility, but does it have a proper shipwright?’, this thought buzzed through his skull as he continued to examine their ship. It seemed everyone was ready to set way on the adventure, and Ike was so excited to finally set sail with a crew. “A, B, C makes no difference to me I just can’t wait to set sail”, he looked towards the male who introduced himself as Nicholas he goofy smiled at him while he walked towards the ship. The dark skinned pirate took one final look of the island before he entered the vessel with his belongings.

they must be felt
"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, or even touched

While everyone above deck was meeting one another, if they listened closely towards the below decks, they would hear the steady pounding of metal against metal. The sharp dings pinged out in a timely manner, almost like a rythmic music. It chimed on for a couple more minutes until it abruptly died. Below, a red-head woman sighed exasperatedly as she leaned against a wall. "Dammit...", she cursed under her breath as she dry heaved a bit. She'd been pounding on that anvil for what felt years. Couple that with the intense heat of the fire, and Liara wasn't exactly a happy camper.

While she had been on Karate Island, her armor had suffered a hard hit and broken on her. It had been weak in the first place but Liara had no idea how she was supposed to fix it! She was a scientist for God's sake! Not a blacksmith! She bit her lip a bit as she felt the wrap she was wearing slip a bit from her sweat. She needed her armor! It was the only thing hiding her wings from the world. Life was too tumulous for her not have her armor on. She'd heard enough horror stories from the fishmen about mermaids being kidnapped or others of their kind being killed for just being who they were. Imagine what they'd do with someone that had wings!

A stark seabreeze washed through the open window and spread throughout the room. It filled the air with the smell of the ocean and the waves. Liara sighed gently. She just needed to clear her head a tad. The red-headed woman wiped the sweat from her brow with a wet rag and made her her bandage wrap was tight around her chest before grabbing her whips and heading out the door. As she walked along the hallway that lead towards the stern of the ship, she smiled a bit. It had been awfully nice of Linnea for inviting Liara to sail with her. Especially since she really didn't know the woman that well. Liara had to admit though, she was quite interesting. Her childhood was very unique and her pet bird still kept Liara fascinated. She had an odd idea though. Sometimes she wondered that the bird already knew about her wings. He always seemed to be giving her some kind of knowing glance...

As the readhead reached the stairs to go above deck, she could hear more and more voices. At first, Liara froze. Was something wrong? She didn't recognize one of them, a man's to be exact. But as she listened in a bit more, she noticed the tone of the conversation was thankfully light. It would seem that Linnea had more crewmates to welcome. Liara herself wondered if she should ask her friend if she could join her pirate crew, but she didn't know. Wouldn't it impede her search for her mother? Would it be fair to her? After all her mother could be anywhere... But, then again, Linnea did say that she was going to sail around the world. Liara didn't even have a boat. Hmmm, indeed.

As Liara began ascending the steps, the sound of her arrival would be heard by everyone near the entrance. As her red hair caught the winds, it would flap around nicely. The bandages she was using for a shirt only covered her chest and the beginning of her ribs. Everything else was exposed. Her skin cried out in happiness as it began cooling from the seabreeze. When she reached the top step, she opened her eyes to let them adjust to the brightness. She saw Linnea, the bird, Nicky and another man and a little girl. She raised an eyebrow before coming over and smiling a bit at them.

"Hello, I'm Liara. It's nice to meet you."
