Spook was sitting in the grandest of grand libraries of Ilusia. It was dusty, old. The wooden planks around him creaked whenever someone stepped on them. Aside from alerting Spook it also served as a nuisance, but it motivated to keep himself on edge nonetheless.
The dusty books he was reading indicated that they were of age. He was researching, he heard some casual banter form the marines away-- located near the dock. They were talking about magical powers, powers he didn't know existed. Of course, he didn't tamper with these marines after he heard what he wanted, he rather left and went on his way to find more research about it. It's been a few days since he's heard that information. After obtaining the information he needed to initiate the grandest of things he went on his way, and thus, he arrived at this place. The grand library of Ilusia, given, it's not that grand-- it was more that Spook made it seem more grandiose than it actually was. By romanticizing things, he saw more positive in the world, positive he would otherwise not see. For example, he could complain about everything and question it, making him skeptical-- but such is a sad way to live life; at least, according to Spook that is.
He grabbed a book from one of the higher shelves, which had more dust on it than other shelves. This book had a worn out binder. As Spook grabbed the book, he slapped it, in order to clear it free from dust.
