Locke C. Alder
The room was dark, rocking back and forth as the gruff voices of a large amount of people were echoing down a small set of wooden steps... One half of the room had bars, and a metal door that looked like it was a prison cell.

In the cell was a woman, with dirty, matted green hair, dressed in little more than a ragged, torn shirt and leggings... She is curled up in a ball, terrified of what could, and did happen to her in the past month...

The woman's name is Locke, she was a blacksmith in Foosha Village, she was about to open the shop she inherited from her teacher one month ago, but as she was setting up the basics, the walls got plowed through by two pirates who were at each others necks. Locke wasn't able to do anything before she was knocked out by falling rubble...

"Would you look at this? The fresh meat is awake again!" Came a crazed sounding voice, that turned out to be coming from one of the same pirates who plowed through the wall of her shop.

He was intimidating to be sure, as his metallic skull masked face leaned down to insult Locke, and his bright, blue hair covered one eye as he says "You're going to make me a lot of Beri on the Grand Line... The market for strong, pretty women is high up there in the millions!"

The group that captured her is called the Headbanger pirates, a group of up and coming rookies that seam to all like metallic music...

"Oh, help me, someone...."
Locke cried quietly, the tears only made a pattern on her grimy face... If there was only someone that could save her from being sold as a slave...

So close... Linnea was so close to finally hitting the Grand Line she could almost taste it, assuming an idea as abstract as adventure could actually have a taste. If it did, she was sure it would be sweet, a little spicy too. Salty did cross her mind, but with the whole ocean part she just dismissed it as too obvious. What if that adventure happened on land after all? Pondering on abstract notions of adventure was actually a pretty fun way to pass the time but Lin had other things to do. On her time in Illusia, one of the people she had been looking to embark on a journey with was a Blacksmith. But finding a blacksmith willing to become a pirate and venture into the Grand Line. She found that older people had already set down way too many roots to sail off into the distance at teh whims of a youngling. So she knew her Blacksmith would have to be young, but that was it.

Thus, she had spent a good time asking around towns and small cities, and finally struck gold. Or so she though... Though she was overjoyed at finally hearing a mention of a young Blacksmith, her smile faded the moment she heard the details. Some Revolutionary soldiers had heard drunken pirates commenting on how they captured a young female Blacksmith all the way in East Blue, and she knew she had to act, before they vanished entirely...

Her prey were the Headbanger pirates. They were no doubt heading off into the Grandline and had abducted the Blacksmith for that purpose, but why go all the way to the East Blue for that? It made no sense, but she really didn't care... After a whole day of sailing, she had finally tracked down their ship... As she spotted their jolly roger on the horizon, she sprung to action, leaving her gunnery crew to steer the ship. The sea was windy and rowdy, but the Melusine was a sturdy, manouverable ship. The same could not be said about the Headbangers' Man'o'war. The archer manned one of her cannons and took aim... She wouldn't be aiming for the masts this far away, no she had other plans.

She pointed the cannon with the same skill she'd use any other ranged weapon, and after priming her shot, she lit the fuse and covered her ears, shielding her eyes and watching as the projectile flew through the air - just barely inside the firing range - hitting one of the ship's cannons and blowing it up. Yet Linnea wouldn't stop there, as her crew opened fire, she fired four more shots. All in all, three of the shots hit perfectly and obliterated three of the ship's cannons on one side. Linnea was the only one who could hit at this range, and even then she missed twice... But her resolve didn't waver:

"You're not getting away.", her sharp gaze firmly locked on the enemy ship, she wouldn't let it escape after it wandered into her sight.

The captain brought himself back up to the top of the stairs, where a large amount of cheering and ruckus could be heard, almost like they were having a party.

A louder, drunken voice kept saying something about a "Kuja" whatever that was about...

As Locke was trying to sleep, since there was no sense of time in the cage, a huge explosion managed to rock the ship she was on... "What, What's happening?"
she asked herself as the ship rocked from two more explosions... one which created a large hole, that she could see in the wall of the ship, and a cannon ball was trapped between the bars of her cell.

The Headbanger pirates immediately got to work, trying to hit the ship that just managed to hit theirs. But each cannon they fired somehow missed their target as their ship started to feel the impact of the attacks... The ship was starting to sink slowly, but it was enough to make most of them to escape with the lifeboats until only the captain was left.

"All of you are wimps!!!!" shouted the captain as he aimed his last loaded, or intact, cannon towards the enemy ship, ready to take them down with him...
The cell was starting to get take on water, at least an inch by the time the attackers would be able to board.

"Please no! Don't do this!!!!" cried a terrified Locke, as she pushed against the cannon ball that was barely stopped by the iron bars. With a little bit of effort and a lot of luck, the hole in the bars were large enough for her to squeeze through.

As she squeezes out of the cage, she quickly runs over to the chest that held her belongings, at least what was left of them... Her battle fans were still there, as was her butterfly mask and her bag of emergency supplies, which included a few bits of clothing.

But there wasn't any time to change now! She runs up the stairs, out on deck which made her wince. A month without sunlight was harsh on her eyes... As she get's re adjusted to the sunlight, she see's the captain of the crew that captured her standing over her. He grabs her by the neck, and raises her high into the air as he yells loud enough for the crew on the Melusine to hear him "If your not going to make me rich, your going to die!!!!!"

A tear rolled down Locke's face as she completely gave up, the days of torture had a tole on her... "Go... ahead...." she breathes out, accepting her fate.

One by one they all fall down... The Headbanger Pirates weren't more than six or seven as a whole, it was doubtful to even think they might be ready for the Grand Line. Yet that didn't stop their ambition. No, Linnea herself would take care of that. With the first artillery barrage, she not only crippled the enemy's cannons but visibly injured or killed four of the masked pirates. As their ship sailed closer, Linnea pulled out her bow and activated her Haki, breaking their mast in half with a well aimed ball and chain shot.

With her bow and Busoshoku Haki, she shot their single accurate cannoball out of the sky as well as two more potential operators who came by to help. She took cover behind the reinforced edge of the ship when they tried shooting at her, a task made easy thanks to her reinforced Kairoseki hull, but as they got close enough to board, Linnea's Kenbunshoku Haki finally identified who she was looking for. A weak, almost broken aura... But she was far from broken yet. This person was likely the blacksmith she was looking for, and weakened as she may be, she still had some fight in her. Linnea soon saw a dirty green haired girl, wearing tattered clothes and an overall frightened, but determined look... The Headbanger captain soon grabbed the girl by the neck, loudly proclaming his intention to kill her if she wouldn't make him wealthy. But before he could even finish that sentence, he was caught with an arrow to the neck, life fading quickly as he choked to death on his own blood, finally letting go of the girl.

Linnea jumped aboard, casually looking around the destruction and walking up to the girl. She had to hurry and get her off before it sank for good. Her cold, hunting expression softened at the sight into the usually kind and compassionate look she so often had, only imagining what kind of pain she must have been through, "Are you alright...?", it may seem like a dumb question but one that had to be asked anyway, offering her hand to the girl, "...Come with me... This ship will sink soon enough.", she gave her a welcoming smile, and as the heat of battle died down, so did the rest of her crewmates aboard, "What's your name...? I'm Naga D. Linnea."

If the girl followed after her, Linnea would explain her motives for chasing after the Headbanger pirates, helping the girl onto her ship with reassuring words, "I'm looking for a Blacksmith to accompany me into the Grand Line... Don't worry, even if you say no, I'll just drop you off at the nearest inhabited island."

A splatter of the man's blood hit Locke's face as she falls to the ground, coughing and trying to get her breath back... The man still stand's there, yet ther is no life left in him anymore as the arrow he was hit with is sticking out his neck...

"Are you alright...?" came a voice that seemed much more friendly then the other pirates. "*cough*... Yeah I think so..." came Locke's voice, unable to break more than a whisper thanks to her windpipe almost being crushed. Tears rolled down her face as she saw the toe-headed blond with gentle smile across her face. crying again, only this time it was out of relief, Locke hears "...Come with me... This ship will sink soon enough."

Lock got up with the woman, barley able to walk out of fright and relief. And once they had reached her ship, start's feeling only the slightest bit better... "What's your name...? I'm Naga D. Linnea." asked the kind blond woman, as Locke remembers a wanted poster from the news, a Naga D. Linnea was one of the many pirates that had popped up recently, but roomer had it that she wasn't like normal ones...

"I'm Locke, Locke *cough*Chroma Alder." said the green hared girl, with her amber eyes starting to show some spirit again as she stopped shaking...

"I'm looking for a Blacksmith to accompany me into the Grand Line... Don't worry, even if you say no, I'll just drop you off at the nearest inhabited island."
said Naga, reassuring Locke as the ship rocked back and forth... The Headbangers ship was finally sunk, the only thin that was left was their Jolly Roger, which just barely was over the water, waving sorrowfully.

But Locke wasn't thinking about that, the pirate asked her to join her crew.
"I.. I have a debt to pay. You saved my life, so my life is now yours until I save yours." Says Locke, carefully thinking about it. "I'm not the best blacksmith, and I wont be much of a help with sailing, unless it's something simple..."
she seemed to be unintentionally drawing her phrases long, as she's easily exhausted from being terrified all this time. She might not even know what she's saying."Yes, I'll join... your... crew." with those few words, Locke's eyes close gently as she is to exhausted to be awake much longer... Her chest raises and lowers, showing she's still alive from this ordeal...

The girl looked pretty hurt from being kept prisoner, likely beaten throughout the whole way, and finally coughing from her captor's final injuries. Fortunately she was still able to walk and talk, proving that whatever those Pirates wanted her for probably required her being in one piece. Little by little she seemed to recover some of her fortitude and Linnea took that moment to scan her up and down. The girl still had fight left in her, earning a faint smile from the Captain as she introduced herself as Locke Chroma Alder...

Her pledge however caught the archer completely off guard. Even with all that time she must have spent in the brig, her resolve wasn't broken, so much Linnea couldn't even help but blush bashfully. She never imagined she'd so readily convince her chosen Blacksmith to not only join her adventure but join her crew as well, and thus she looked at the girl with friendly, genuine appreciation, without losing any of her shy looks... Recruiting a new crewmate so suddenly like this felt odd, especially for a demure woman like herself, but even when she took all the time she wanted, Linnea often made her decision soon after meeting all of those people. In the end, inviting others like Ike, Spook and Flash had been just as spur of the moment as it was now with Locke, even if her racing heart didn't change since then. The number of people on her crew certainly did, they had grown from a ragtag trio to a full fledged crew, and the only obstacle left in her path was Reverse Mountain.

"Thank you, Locke...", answered a grateful Linnea; she wouldn't be so callous as to dismiss someone's life debt, but she would never hold the girl on the ship on that account. But she'd have a place among them for as long as she wanted, "Don't worry... Just do what you can, we will do what you cannot."

Her blush faded slightly at this last part, gently leading the girl to Mea's room so the Doctor could have a look at her, after which she'd have a much deserved, long night's rest... Their journey was only beginning...
