The Dragon Slayers

The sun would shine ever so gently, the clouds parted yet Melissa had learned not to rely upon the grand line weather. It could change as effortlessly as her mood swings. Her outfit was so girly, she had dolled herself up. Two black ribbons held her pig tails together. Upon the right side of her head a slanted red top hat, small in stature with a black sash wrapped around it, a red half bloomed rose in the centre. Her red dress showed her figure, yet it expanded, flowing out at the bottom, to the top of her knees. In the centre of this dress a black design much like a maids was knitted in to it, All the way up to her neck. A large black bow with a red rose and white embroidered pattern gently upon her neck. Black long tights and red shoes with slight raised heels. A jacket, red that seemed to blend in with her dress completed such a strange outfit. Yet upon the girl it looked magnificent.

Stretching her arms, the young female would look to the two people whom had accompanied her on this mission. Naga, the captain of the crew, and the man whom now possessed her log pose, Flash the navigator of the crew. Melissa well, she was the muscle and the sarcasm. The eccentric female would grin. "Gotta admit, its nice to be on land, let's go see if we can find anything cute to buy" Melissa would say as she slightly adjusted her hat. Smoke rose in to the air, it had been rising since they arrived on the large island. Apparently it was littered with villages and towns but it seemed to have no pull on the log pose. They had stopped due to needing supplies before continuing their journey to enies.

With a spring in her step, Melissa Devaroux would bound upwards through the grassy terrain, the island was full of lush tree's, berries of strange colour, fruits of strange shape all appeared upon the trees. Animals that looked strange, somewhat hybrid like would occassionally be spotted every now and again. Every now and again she would pick up some of the strange berries and pocket them. She would show them to Mea, the doctor and see if she thought anything of them, if they were poisonous or not. It was a good idea to bring anything they were unsure of back to get an analysis of them. Screams would be heard, muffled from the distance. "What the hell...whats that" she uttered, taking off to find the source.

What she saw was shocking, the reason for the smoking had become clear. Melissa devaroux stood upon the edge of a village, a village decimated. The smell of burnt flesh filling her nose. She tried hard not to gag. People were wounded, some crying over bodies that were recognisable, some trying to find id from the burnt ones. "What could do this" Melissa would utter. The ground had foot prints, easily big enough for Melissa to lie in the centre of and have naga and flash lined up behind her. What had this been.

They ventured around yet another of the many islands around Ennies Lobby, naturally a pirate crew wouldn't dare linger too long in Ennies Lobby unless they actually had business there, usually involving razing it to the ground in one way or another. All in all, it was far from a welcoming place for people like them which meant Linnea had nothing else left for her there once she got a good look at most of the island: Enough to log it in her diary and draw some pictures for posterity. But that would be a story for another day...

Linnea had been busy practicing a new technique. If there was one thing she learned the moment she sat foot on the Grand Line; was that her current self wouldn't do. Ennies Lobby was a difficult stop, but it was only the beginning. After having all that trouble with Raziel, she knew she had to become a lot stronger if she was going to protect her crewmembers throughout the battles ahead. She'd have to take all of her abilities to a whole new level. To that end, she'd been working not only with her Busoshoku Haki, but her newly acquired Devil Fruit ability to empower her archery in a way she'd never done before. Thus, it was in this state - busy wrecking a training ground - that Melissa found her and relayed the rumours about a mysterious creature terrorizing a nearby Village. Nothing spells adventure quite like a hunt for a never-before-seen monster, and thus this was an offer she just couldn't refuse. Nobody knew if they were actually going to find anything out there, but simply looking around was far from a bad idea. Judging by her outfit, the First Mate clearly didn't believe they'd actually find anything...

"Out here in the middle of nowhere...?", wondered a dumbfounded Linnea, in her mind already imagining what kind of unique craftsmanship she might come across, "That would be quite a surprise!"

All in all she was in a rather playful, chippery mood, traversing the woodlands with a jovial step, clearly enthralled by the whole adventure idea... Maybe it just felt that good to not be cooped up training for once. Using her Kenbunshoku kept her alert to any enemies they might come across, but what finally caught their attention were not Aura signals, but frightened screams.

Linnea may be used to death, but this wasn't a sight she'd ever allow herself to accept... With smoke cloud and reek of charred flesh guiding their path, the archer's expression was dotted with a mix of gentle shock at the mayhem before her, as well as stern, cold resolve to confront the responsible party. A ginormous footprint was rather obvious clue, but one they wouldn't have time to investigate:

"Melissa, use your Haki! Help me drag the living ones to safety!", Linnea called out as they would all hear a menacing roar up high in the air... That rumored creature actually existed and it was coming back for round two! When it showed up, they had to get the people out of the way so they could take it on. At this point, it was kill or be killed...

Nicholas was glaring at the Log Pose in is hands. Ever since he had discovered where it was pointing to, the navigator had been frantically trying to find a way to change its course, to lead somewhere other than the big courthouse. He had tagged along with Melissa and Linnea to this island, hoping that being here would cause the log pose to change direction.

It didn't. I was still pointing towards that damn island! Nicholas groaned in frustration. It looked like their only option was to go to Enies Lobby. Dammit, Nicholas was too pretty for prison! They'd break him in five minutes!

Fortunately, something would come along to distract him from his troubles. Unfortunately, this distraction came in the form of a village at looked like it had been razed to the ground! "What the hell happened here?" Nicholas could only murmur, before almost tumbling into the massive footprint on the ground. Nicholas's eyes bulged. The thing was as big as a giant's! But when did giants have reptilian feet? "What the hell is this?" he muttered, before a loud roar caused him to jump, "What the fuck is that!?" Linnea's orders about getting the survivors out rang in his ears. "R-Right! Gotcha!" Nicholas yelled out, immediately scrambling to find any survivors. Fortunately, any survivors who could run we're already running the instant the roar sounded. Which left the wounded. And unfortunately for Nicholas, he didn't have Haki to tell him who was alive or not. And having to make guesswork while something and nasty was fast approaching was not a good thing to be doing! The end result was the rather humorous sight of watching Nicholas running like crazy, carrying both wounded villagers and the dead alike (Hey, it's hard to tell the difference between a dead person and an unconscious person while under stress, alright?). Thankfully, it wouldn't be long before everyone was safely out of the village. Well, everyone except for the pirate captain, her first mate, and the navigator. "So, erm, what's the plan ladies?" he asked, clearly nervous about what was going on, "Stick around and see what comes our way? Try to get off this island as fast as we can?" He was getting a feeling it was going to be the former. Well, better get used to dangerous situations. No sense in going to Grand Line otherwise.

The Dragon Slayers

The navigator of the Uroboros Pirates would echo the small statement Melissa had attempted to make. Yet he would stumble in to the footprint. How a snow woman can shiver makes little sense, yet the echoing roar seemed to remove her immunity to the cold. she felt freezing, done in and weak. The roar shook the very earth. Yet Captain Naga would be on top form, her voice brought the Yuki Yuki No Mi Wielder back to her senses. "R..RIGHT" Melissa would say. Allowing her own senses to fly forth. Screams from the wounded would be drowned out by the roar that only began to rise in sound, the dragon clearing distance at amazing speeds. Piles of destroyed stone and bulding were soon being launched far in to the forest as if they weighed nothing. The powerful woman breaking through barriers that multiple men had tried lifting and failed. She would remove rubble and free wounded with utter ease. Thankful for her Haki. She would shout commands to Flash, offering him guidance due to his lack of ability in the sensory capabilities. She shouted as loud as she could. Yet soon enough even that would not be loud enough.

Between the three an evacuation would be somewhat successful, yet time would not be on their side. They would not clear the entirety of the wounded. A large shadow passed over the island, Melissa would look up, and her entire body shook once more. She had never felt fear like this. The dragon was massive. And fast. It turned in the air quickly and soon found itself descending. If came down quick. As it descended a child ran screaming from her hiding place. Yet the large dragon was coming in quickly. Its large right foot in the right place, It would squish the girl with utter ease and she was to slow to run from it. Her body moved before she could think. Melissa looked like an ant compared to the giant creature. Yet she would find herself under its foot. Her arms wrapped around the young girl.
"NAGA CATCH" She shouted as she threw the girl towards her captain. The girl cleared the foots range...and the crushing power of the dragon trampled upon the Yuki Yuki No Mi user. The last thing her comrades would see was that gentle smile of hers.

The black demonic creature roared. As it did flames shot forth in the direction of the navigator, The powerful flames somewhat white in colour. They struck the ground and instantly blackened the earth, wood would catch fire. Yet the dragon would somewhat stumble. Dust that had erupted from its landing and striking of the ground settled. The foot used to squish the female was no touching the earth. Lying upon her back her hands up was Melissa Devaroux, she could feel the earth crumbling behind her. The weight of the dragon was immense. Her face was red with concentration. "AAAAAAH" She shouted as she pushed upwards. knocking the leg of the dragon up just a few inches. This was enough for the female to disperse into the snow like element. The dragons foot struck the ground once more, though the Yuki Yuki No Mi user would be kneeling, huffing and puffing beside her captain. Her dress and coat were ruined, dirty and cut in places.

Together with Melissa, the three Uroboros cooperated and appropriately split the ruined village into portions, pulling away whatever wounded they could. The Snow woman usually took care of the obstructed ones who Linnea would have a hard time dealing with, while Flash followed either of their directions to find himself some other living people to drag to safety. At first, the dragon was content with circling the ruined village like a bird of prey, and it didn't take a genious to realize he'd swoop in for the kill soon enough. An expert huntress, Lin had slain many a colossus, though a dragon was by far the largest and most menacing flying monster she'd ever fought.

Thus, In the meantime, the Great White Huntress drafted a quick strategy in her head; a contest of strength was all but impossible to all of them, even Melissa, so they would have to use their small size, speed and numbers. Staying fast on their feet and exploiting every opening the flying colossus kindly provided - rather plentifully given its large size. Linnea leapt back in the opposite direction when Melly flung the girl; cold and calculating as ever, Linnea excelled at staying calm under pressure, and she knew fully well that being stomped by a dragon wouldn't kill a Logia user.

"Stay calm, hide, and wait for an opening to run away, got it?", she smiled as she quickly took cover behind a large, ruined stone house, petting the crying girl with a surprisingly reassuring smile under her chilly murderous gaze, before she turned her head up and shouted the only direction her allies would need, "Attack from different angles, everyone!"

Thanks to her Haki, she saw in advance as the monster reared its head to breathe a stream of flames at the Navigator, but she trusted the crafty Nicky to take care of himself. Instead, she would do what she did best... Pulling two steel tipped arrows, she stood up, narrowed her gaze at the colossal prey, and show two arrows from either side of the bow. These arrows were steel tipped and barbed; aimed at the long, exposed neck of the mastodonic creature. They hit the target without much of a hassle, with Linnea earning herself an enraged roar as the monster turned its fire breathing head her way, barely giving her time to crouch back under the stone wall, narrowly avoiding the oncoming inferno.

This would leave the dragon open to a flanking attack from either Melissa or Flash... But even though her shots were obviously painful and struck the creature's neck, the Dragon was much too powerful t go down from two shots like that. With a mighty beat of its wings, it soared skywards again, once more going to circle around the ruined village...

Tugging on her hood, Linnea grabbed two more arrows and strafed around, quickly spotting the nearest cover sites and approaching one of them... Before long, the dragon was flying still in the same spot - roughly upright, 10 meters in the air - as it inhaled air and likely prepared to shoot another fireball at one of them...

Now, most people believed dragons to be merely myths, things of legend. However, it was really hard to believe that when the genuine article was coming down on them in all its fury, it's bellowing roar shaking the ground around them. Most people would have looked up at the thing in awe of its power. Nicholas' response on the other hand was to scream obscenities at the top of his lungs. "HOLY FUCKING FUCK!!" the navigator cried out, "WHAT THE HOLY HELL IS THAT THING!?" He didn't really need an answer to that question, he just needed to yell something out. Of course, he got more fuel when he watched one of their top fighters, Melissa, get stomped on by the dragon itself. Nicholas forgot for a brief moment that she was a logia and thus immune to stomping. "Holy Shit!" Nicholas yelled out, before paling when the dragon slowly turned its face towards him, its soulless eyes glaring right at him. Damn his constant screaming, getting its attention like that. Flames before to build within its tooth filled jaws, a low rumble building in its chest. Guess the whole legend of dragons breathing fire was true too.

"FUUUUUUCK!" Nicholas yelled out, triggering the jet dial on his shoe. The dial came to life with a piercing shriek as Nicholas was suddenly rocketed into the air, the burst of flames shooting out underneath him, hitting where he was standing. From his position up in the air, he could see Linnea open fire on the dragon, catching it in the side of the neck. Thankfully it was enough to draw its attention away from him, except now because of how he fired off the Jet Dial, he was falling towards the dragon's head. Acting fast, Nicholas quickly pulled out two dials, his Jet Dial and Impact Dial, one in each hand. "Safecracker!"[/b] The blow struck the dragon right in its eyes, earning it a bellowing roar of fury and pain. The impact caused Nicholas to fly back, bouncing along the ground before finally flipping back onto his feet, panting heavily.

"Are...are we seriously fighting a dragon?" Nicholas was still trying to wrap his head around what was going. "Did...Did I just punch said dragon in the face!? Holy hell I have no idea if this is awesome or terrifying!" The dragon turned its gaze back onto Nicholas, its eyes blazing with fury as something began charging in its mouth. Wait, is that electricity? "Ok, gotcha. This is terrifying," Nicholas said before bolting into a run, screaming to try to avoid getting breathed on.

The formation of the ranger and dial specialist would seemingly put the crew of super humans on the offensive, yet other than mild range the dragon seemed to not show any major reaction to, honestly it would seem they were nothing but insects, which in comparrison to the size of the giant creature, they very well could be. The white hot flames bothered her, they were obviously a weakness to the fruits that the two warriors of snow and ice held. While they had the advantage in movement and speed, the dragon had every other advantage. It could fly, it had the ability to soar in to the sky and squish them all. Sure Melissa's logia powers would sustain her, but something was wrong. She could have sworn the paw of the dragon had begun to heat up while she was under it. As if it was learning of her abilities studying her and finding the best way to put her down. Alas thankfully it would seem neither the ranger nor the dial specilist had been injured each taking cover. As Melissa herself was about to go on the attack, the gust created by the massive wings would push the girl back. With thief like reflexes she managed to right herself in mid air and skid gently to a halt.

Her moment of assault had been taken away. The dragons head lifted, small bursts of electricity could be seen radiating from within its mouth. So this creature not only had breath of fire but a breath of electricity as well. It would seem this breath required some charging. Thus Melissa would think fast, with the large amount of thick debris around, she had an arsenal of weapons. Her hand's wrapped around the largest piece of earth she could find. "RAAAAAAAAGH" she yelled as she spun upon the spot a couple of times, with the momentum gained she released her weapon. Soaring through the air, the large chunk of earth would strike upon the dragons face. The creature's head flung to the side, the breath released in a vacant part of the forest, vacant from human life, god knows how many animals or insects perished. The dragon would also hit the ground, the sudden force of the strike enough bring it to earth. Yet its recovery would be swift, it grunted as it returned to its full standing height. Melissa, wary of getting up close while the dragon was staring at her would grasp another piece of earth. The way the dragon was facing, it had all three areas in its sight. Able to see the hiding spot that Naga occupied, able to see Flash and of course Melissa whom was in the centre of his gaze.

The dragon sized Melissa up. Again the female released her earthen ammunition, yet this time the dragon was prepared, the piece of earth was large, easily able to destroy the stone Naga was utilizing to hide. The dragon spun with speed its size should not have had, its tail struck the earthen projectile and as if it could calculate the area it needed to strike, successfully changed its target to that of the ranger. While its body continued to spin, the creature would release another shot of fire, at Melissa while turning its head, to attempt to capture flash. Alas the Yuki woman would be fast enough, the curving flames would die out after her second backward jump. Something was strange, this dragon was not like any creature faced. It was learning, adapting. "SOMETHINGS WRONG, THIS CREATURE ITS SMART" Shouted Melissa.

Nicky's hail of expeletives might have actually been funny if they weren't currently facing a monster of legend such that even a great huntress like Linnea never dreamed of seeing one. That's the grandline for you...

So, instead of laughing, the female ranger timed her attack, keeping her Haki sharply set on her foe and preparing an attack right after Flash or Melissa's. The tricky Navigator had more than enough ways to avoid a big monster like that, as he did thanks to the help of his jet dial... Linnea let out a calm, relieved sigh, when for all his astonishment, he was still combat ready and more than capable of hurting the great monster on his own. He flew back with the recoil from his own attack just as Lin's arrows hit home. She wasn't one to waste ammunition on fruitless efforts, so the next shots would have to be just as well timed.

"The bigger the game...", she answered, a faint smile appearing on her icy lips, "...The greater the thrill of the hunt!"

It was maybe a bit of a stretch to call a dragon mere "game", and even Melissa suggested it might be intelligent. She wasn't overly surprised to hear it, but even an intelligent creature that acts like a ravenous beast deserves to be treated as such. No way it needed to binge eat everyone in that village to survive... After promptly diving back under a stone wall and avoiding the lightning attack, she quickly noticed that Melissa's quick thinking was enough to stagger the beast with a boulder to the head. Linnea carefully observed Melly's follow up to the attack, nocking two arrows on either side of her bow. She expected the rock to hit its mark again and knock the beast out of the sky but then again something else happened... Something unpredictable.

Seeing the dragon prepare for a counter attack, Linnea didn't waste any time - now was not the right time to wonder why that might be. She had the full ability to antecipate the enemy's attack and and calculate exactly where to strike, so when the dragon finally whipped the rock in her direction, he'd be met with a painful little present. Linnea had imbued two arrows with her Busoshoku Haki and let them loose at her colossal prey, flicking both down with a duplicated Drill Shot. Both this technique and the simple act of imbuing arrows with Haki was enough to crush boulders off walls, and the two of them put together - aimed at the base of the dragon's tail and where its body met its left wing - would be more than enough to deal some damage. How else could the Kuja be famed for hunting such gigantic creatures on Amazon Lily and Ruskaina Island? From this angle, she couldn't hope to reach its head, but for the same reason the dragon couldn't see her attack coming in time.

That said, the exchange of projectiles wasn't meant to intercept the boulder it aimed at her, leaving Linnea with very little time to get the hell out of dodge. In a swift, premeditated action to end her powerful attack, she released two Ice rods beneath her feet, serving as thrusters and knocking her into a spring, quickly rolling under a semi destroyed wall to her right and crouching as the rock obliterated her previous hiding place. The impact still knocked her forward, but the bruised archer quickly stood up:

"What of it?", she stated calmly, clearly experienced with shoving aside her fear and uncertainty when facing an unexpectedly powerful prey; the dragon's roaring mix of pain and rage being enough to prove her point, "We just have to outsmart it."

Linnea vanished into one of the mostly intact houses, enough that she could climb up to the second floor, securing two escape routes if the dragon turned her way again. As Linnea drilled through the base of its tail and base of one wing, the Dragon promptly landed to recover his strength and fight them on the ground, aiming to land onto his enemies!

Thankfully, Nicholas' dodging skills proved to be up to snuff here in the Grand Line, considering he was somehow able to avoid getting electro-breathed by one furious dragon. The problem however, was that at the moment, most of Nicholas' dials were out of action right now, the only two still fully charged being his Thunder Dial and Flame Dial. And judging by how this thing was breathing, he had a feeling they weren't going to be of any use. Thankfully Melissa and Linnea were proving very able to distract the massive beast. Hell, Mel's idea to launch chunks of debris at it was proving enough to inflict some damage on it. Not enough, but some. As the two battled against the massive beast, Nicholas took the time to find cover. What the hell was he supposed to do? He didn't really have any range, and until his dials recharged, he couldn't even attack this thing. The navigator felt more damn useless in his life.

Then, as Linnea's latest attack brought the dragon to the ground. If Nicholas wasn't able to attack the massive beast, the least he could do was prove a decent distraction for it. As the two fighters caught the dragon's attention, Nicholas scrambled up the nearest building he could find, one that wasn't destroyed by this massive beast. He had to be careful though. He didn't want this thing bringing down the building by accident. Standing on top, he looked at the massive dragon, getting ready to fight his allies in all its rage. "Time for a distraction!" Nicholas yelled out, leaping up towards the dragon. The navigator landed straight onto its back, immediately latching on to its hide. Whatever plan Nicholas had was working. The massive beast immediately let out a bellowing roar, thrashing about to try and shake off whatever irritating bug had clung to its back. However, Nicholas was not going to let go. If he couldn't fight the damn thing, the least he could do was keep its attention by hanging onto it. Digging his fingers against its hard scales, the navigator slowly climbed his way up the roaring beast's back, holding on for dear life as its beating wings threatened to blast him off. The Dragon Slayers

A sigh of relief would be released from her chest, the knowledge that her friends were safe would take a load of her own chest. The dragon like creature would seem to be contained to the ground now, with the drilling arrows piercing their way through the armour of the creature. In utter shock, Melissa would be left in awe of the movement that their navigator would now make. The human holding on to the back of the dragon whom now began to thrash like crazy to try to get him off. Melissa would give off that devilish grin of hers. "Naga, stay back, keep your eye on Nicky, make sure he doesn't die" Melissa would shout to her comrade. She wished she had brought her gloves, the hide of the dragon looked powerful. She was completely unsure if she was going to be able to actually do anything against the creature. As it tried to shake the navigator off, its claws raked against buildings, as they touched the buildings the claws steamed, smoke flowed from the hot stone. Melissa Devaroux would take this as her chance, she charged.

The dragons tail came to strike her, though it was not properly aimed. Alas her logia power would be sufficent, the tail bypassing her body, flowing through her with trails of snow following it. Her body continued to charge. The dragon continuing to strike its tail and claws of anything it could find as it thrashed around. The Yuki Yuki No Mi users legs dissolved, forming in to snow. Her speed increased and soon she jetted through the air towards the creature. "TAKE THIS" she shouted, her hand found its self connecting with the side of the creatures head.A shockwave so powerful erupted from the point of impact, it channeled itself through the entirety of the dragons being allowing a metallic sound to ring out as it flowed through the dragons metallic body. Its head jutted to the side with such force that the head and neck looked as though it snapped. The dragon fell sideways, a cloud of dust erupting from the debris mixed with the ash from molten bodies. Touching down upon the ground, Melissa would thrust her hand in to the air "AND VICTORY GOES TO MELISSA" she echoed, screeching and making "crowd" like noises. "FEAR ME, MELISSA THE DRAGONSLAYER, I AM THE CHAMP....."

Her celebration would be cut short. A pain raked across her chest, thankfully the dragons claws only managed to graze a few inches into her. What was shocking was the heat, blood did not fall due to the heat sealing the wound as quick as it happened. She did in fact fall to her knees. The young girl biting her lip as it happened. As the tail of the dragon collided with her shoulder, she had been to focused on her wound to call forth her intangibility, the power house was launched through the air, skidding to the ground with a giant oomph. Now the dragon would stand, its head dented, yet the snapped neck would seem to be fixing itself. A strange noise, like gears could be heard turning. As the dragon roared it released more fire though its aim was not at a certain person but around itself. As if creating a tornado like shield. Its wings soon moved, covering itself in a defensive ball. Yet a light, a light would begin to eminate from itself. Melissa would move, Guys everyone to me" she shouted. As she did she too would call forth a power, beginning to charge up her own special technique. Something she had rarely shown. Something that would drain her significantly. But something she felt she may need. Hopefully Naga and Nicky would heed her warning, heed her request.

The dragon was charging its solar breath, its strongest capability, the charge would enhance its power. Its range? well who knows. If the dragon could heal itself, It would take an assault an all out powerful combination of the three of them right? "Buy me time guys, I need to charge up. We need to hit this thing with everything we have. Your strongest attacks. Together, just make sure its distracted, and watch out. It's claws are heated, they can hit our bodies Linnea."

Nicky!! That flashy bastard! Getting on a dragon's back like that, how crazy can a single person be? It was hard to tell if he was really brave or really stupid, but in the end it proved to be a healthy mix of both as his plan slowly came to fruition. The Dragon was all too busy with trying to shake him off to bother with anybody else, and Linnea was mostly focused on Nicky himself, greeting her teeth and keeping her Haki focused on that place.

She paid the bulk of her attention to the dragon and Nicky's aura, bow and arrows primed for the first sign of something going wrong. But it wouldn't, at least not in the near future. Her Kenbunshoku Haki guaranteed that much. That crazy navigator, his plan might actually go off without a hitch! Though she wagered he probably didn't agree from where he was standing; it was all a matter of perspective. And it was up to the two frosty girls to ensure nothing bad happened to him, "Already on it...!", she answered as Melissa called Nicky's precarious position, Linnea was primed for attack, but still hiding under cover. There was no need to leave it, not yet anyways.

The way was open for Linnea. Activating her Blitz shooter, Linnea consistently released a flurry of arrows - the first one Imbued by Haki - as Melissa continued her onslaught, undeterred by the dragon's repeated attacks. She attacked the Dragon's limbs as it attempted to strike Melissa, taking full advantage of her partner's logia form to strike through her dispersed body without actually hitting Melissa, and this attacking the dragon from behind its blind spots. In the end, it had another arrow lodged in its tail, one on its leg, and a hole from where a Haki imbued arrow went through.

Meanwhile, Melly's Snow body wasn't phased by any of the creature's massive limbs, allowing her to promptly close the gap and knock the massive beast over with a thundering punch to it's head. But from up close and deprived of Haki, Melissa couldn't see what Linnea could. It was much to early for celebration, "Melly, be careful!!, she shouted, finally climbing out of cover and moving closer to the dragon (though not enough that it could strike her in melee). But even Linnea didn't expect the overheated claws... She expected it might catch Melissa off guard without her having a chance to turn to snow, but even with her logia form she was still hurt... Even worse, the dragon was hearing. As Linnea stared at her colossal enemy, measuring it, gauging its abilities with her scrutinzing gaze, she couldn't help but hear a mechanical sound. So this thing was man made huh... At least that was how it sounded. Now close enough to Melissa that she could engulf them all inside her snowstorm, she turned to her partner as the girl prepared her big attack, as did the dragon.

"Very well, we'll go with that plan... Twin Fangs!!", Linnea nodded affirmatively; timing her attack with Flash's before quickly nocking two arrows and letting them loose - her newly developed Twin Fangs attack - coating both with jet black Haki and feeling the Dragon's aura as they soared through the air and lodged itself inside its throat, like a hugely painful fishbone. It roared in pain, confirming the hit, but was still charging its attack. The archer's breathing was somewhat more strained now, Linnea had used two of her biggest skills in quick succession, so this trade wasn't exactly harmless for her....

Nicholas was holding on for dear life as the massive dragon bucked and roared, trying to throw him off. The navigator had half a mind to try his luck at a rodeo, because after riding this thing, taking on a bull would be easy. However, while holding onto the dragon was easy enough (using the loosest definition of 'easy'), holding onto it when Melissa was delivering a hard attack to it was an entirely different matter. The navigator yelled out as the dragon crashed to the ground, throwing him off, lest he be crushed under it. The blonde bounced across the ground before slamming into a wall, hard. His vision blurred for a moment as pain shot through his body. He shook his head before looking over at the downed dragon. Did they do it? Did Melissa manage to kill that thing?

Judging by the mechanical grinding and the fact it got back up, it was clear that, no, she had not killed it. But, at least they learnt something new. The dragon was completely mechanical. Whoever built this thing must have been a genius! The navigator made it a point to check this thing out once they had defeated it. If they defeated it. They massive thing seemed to be repairing itself. How the hell were they going to take on something like that? What kind of twisted mad man made this thing?

Apparently, Melissa had an idea. An idea which involved the Linnea and himself distracting the massive thing and hit it with everything they had. Destroy that thing before it could repair itself. Sounded simple enough, but the dragon seemed to have other ideas, charging up something very nasty to throw their way. They had to act quickly.

Pulling himself to his feet, regaining his balance, Nicholas broke into a run, running over to Linnea, who was pulling back her bow. The only dials he had available were his Thunder and Flame Dials. Guess they would have to work. "Let's see how you like this big guy!" Nicholas yelled out, holding both dials out and triggering them. Streams of fire and lightning shot out, straight towards the dragon's mouth, hitting it just the same time as Linnea's arrows. A loud blast coincided with the arrow sticking into the dragon's throat. While he had managed to lessen the creature's charging, he hadn't stopped it entirely. He just bought them more time, which was what Melissa had wanted.

As the light of the dragon's solar breath faded slightly, he caught sight of something within the dragon's mouth. It didn't take a genius to recognize the shapes in there. Someone had lined the dragon's mouth with dials. That would explain its breath attacks. "Oh I am so salvaging this thing when we're done!" Nicholas yelled out in glee.

The Dragon Slayers

Watching her allies as they took on the defensive form of the dragon. Melissa herself would be channeling all her power in to herself. Awakening something that she had only ever utilized once. A power that was unexplained, she had no idea why it manifested within the form that it does, or why or how she even attained such a power. Upon dire need she activated it and from then on held the ability to awaken a burst of energy from within her that was seperate from her fruit. It augmented her power even further. Pushing her physical capabiltiies to the limit.

She felt it, pulling from within, encasing her entire body in a warm orange glow. An armour of pure energy, translucent and orange in colour seemed to embody her. Much like the armour of haki it took on physical form. She seemed to levitate from within the creature, the aura seemingly breathing. She radiated a light that enhanced her beautiful features. "Lets do this guys, One final strike. Use everything you have in unison" Melissa would say as she took a step forward. The armour moving with each thought. She was sweating, simply by summoning forth the armour she was reaching her limit. It took power to maintain the form. This was the reason why she would hardly utilize it. Why she would not use this in full on battle that would not allow her gather the energy needed.

Her hands clenched as the dragons wings began to unfold. The shining light of the solar beam seemed to vanish as its mouth fully closed yet the glowing colour of its eyes seemed to give away this lie. "NOW" Melissa would yell as her hands thrust forth. Much like the time in which she sunk a large marine ship, much like the time in which she crushed the entirety of a mans body, the powerful burst of air caused by such vast strength erupted from the closed fist of the armour. Alone it could decimate, perhaps not fully destroy the dragon but it could caus vast damage to the creature. Yet at the time of its release the dragon also released its powerful and condenced beam. Alone Melissa's own attack may have falted though hopefully with the added force or distractions [which ever way they wish to play it] from her friends, her attack would prove fatal. The shimering orange form seemed to shimmer even brighter as the air and solar power collided. The outcome...YOU DECIDED [A.k.A its up to Naga or flash to decribe the outcome after adding their attacks]

Captain and Navigator alike unleashed their strongest attacks all at once, stalling the Dragon for the fighter girl to get her special attack all prepped and ready to go. This creature - if it could even be called such - completely defied reason, more than anything Linnea had ever hunted before. For starters, it wasn't even Alive, at least not where it truly mattered. After fighting and hurting it all this time, they not only discovered its ability to fix itself but also found it to be almost completely mechanical. This implied the Dragon wasn't much more than a puppet with somebody pulling the strings.

"Melly! How much longer?!", Urged Linnea, no longer bothering to look towards the dragon and instead shifting towards her first mate who was still getting her final technique ready...

THeir combined attacks stalled the dragon and slowed down its solar dial, but then Linnea had no need for her eyes in between such a colossal blizzard. Wasting not a single moment, she closed her eyes completely and from that moment onwards relied solely on what information her Kenbunshoku Haki provided her with. It was more than good enough to keep an "eye" on the Dragon, and before long the other frosty beauty of the Uroboros Pirates had completed her preparations. Before long, Linnea watched amazed as she was enveloped by a brimming, armor like aura. What kind of power was this...? Even after all they'd fought and trained together, she still had secrets hiding under all of those skills? Still, strained as the cool captain may be, she still had tons of gas left in the tank and she was about to show this flying heap of metal exactly how much she still had left.

"No need to tell me twice.", she grinned as she took aim at the dragon, finally opening one eye out of simple force of habit; she still couldn't see her target courtesy of Melissa's blizzard, but she could feel its presence well enough. It was a real pain in the ass to try and use this technique twice in a row, but she had no intention of letting Melly hog all the glory of taking this dragon down. In a split second, her decision had been made and she realized she'd be using her strongest technique once more.

Taking aim, she fired a single arrow, flicking it downwards and once more unleashing her drill shot once more. She timed her shot to intercept the dragon right as it was struggling to avoid Melissa's massive attack, but Linnea's arrow wouldn't be something it could foresee: She fired her arrow right between the dragon's eyes. With Melissa's attack wounding and staggering it beforehand, a sickening piercing sound would confirm her attack hitting home as she'd drill through the dragon's likely metallic skill...
