When one thought of Ohara, the land of scholars, one does not immediately thing 'bar'. You'd always think of the scholars hear drinking tea or coffee while studying various tomes and books. Turns out even scholars like to get utterly smashed now and again, as Nicholas was finding out as he sat at one of the tables at the tavern. He had been told to meet here by his captain. Apparently there was going to be someone Nicholas had never met before coming to the meeting as well. Whoever it was, he was hoping it was someone interesting.

The dial specialist sat back in his seat, looking at the paper he had just bought. He couldn't help but smile when he saw Linnea's picture in it, one of the three most wanted people in the blues. He was a little disappointed he wasn't in there though. He would have to step up his game a bit. Then there was the big news. The pirate king himself had apparently been captured, and his crew were planning some sort of jail break. Man, these guys couldn't keep a secret to save their lives if the World Government found out about it. If the pirate king himself was able to be beaten, what chance did his second mate have? All Nicholas cared about was how this would effect the world. What would happen, now that there was a massive power vacuum left by the man's capture. Who would step up to take over. And more importantly, how could he and the Uroboros Pirates capitalize on this?

Nicholas looked up from his paper to see his captain approaching. A smile spread across his handsome face. "Well, if it isn't the lady of the day herself. Well, one of them anyway." As she sat down, he shifted himself to show her the p,aper. Particularly the bounty of herself. "Not a bad picture if I do say so myself. I can't wait for the day when I'll see myself in this thing."

He reached over and took a gulp of his drink, before setting the paper down, ope. To the page regarding Operation Shawshank. "So, what are your thoughts on this dear captain?" he said, pointing to the story of the Pirate King's capture.

When a voice suddenly spoke up behind him, Nicholas spun around, his hand reaching for one of the many dials he carried, the impact dial. He stopped himself though when he saw it was a rather at active woman. Good thing to, that dial could mess up that pretty face of hers. He let out a small yelp as she pulled the paper away from him, AND took his drink as well. He gave a small grumble, but then smiled warmly. "Definitely much more attractive. Both of you are." Hey, when you're sitting in the middle of a pair of beautiful ladies, you ha to the advantage of the situation.

It seemed both women were on the same idea as well.rescue the pirate king. Nicholas wasn't sure how to feel about it. On one hand, all that available power and territory would just go right back to him, instead of leaving it up for grabs. On the other hand, getting in good with the pirate king did have its advantages. Well, no matter what he thought of the situation, Linnea was his captain, and it was only right to obey here.

When Melissa introduced herself, Nicholas smiled and bowed his head. "Nicholas Edison. Navigator, dial master, and flashy bastard of the Uroboros Pirates. Now, what's this I hear about you attacking a marine base? And why wasn't I invited?"

At the mention of a log pose, Nicholas's eyes widened and he smiled brightly. He hadn't actually thought about it, which was strange considering you needed one to travel the Grand Line.  What luck that Melissa was bringing them one, and she was joining their crew to boot! Two incredibly powerful pirates on the same ship? People would be quaking in their boots.

When Melissa mentioned Yotsuba Island, Nicholas tilted his head. "Funny, I was there not too long ago, establishing contacts and whatnot. The place seems to have picked up. Apparently some commodore has been putting an end to the corruption, bringing in new recruits to replace the rotten ones. You think that's this Anton guy?" At Melissa's threat of tearing the poor guy's junk off, Nicholas gave a sympathetic wince. Linnea's words caused him to look at her quizzically. "I think a little anatomy lesson with the doc might be in order captain. Might help shed a little bit of light on the subject."

As Linnea got up to leave, Nicholas leaned back in his seat. "I'll be sticking around with our new cremate here. I want to be here when the Log Pose shows up, if that's alright with everyone."

Nicholas sat quietly, finishing his drink as Melissa spoke with her friend, a rather old man who soon handed her a package, no doubt containing the Log Pose. He smiled when Melissa returned, handing it to him, before saying her goodbyes. Nicholas nodded. "We wouldn't dream of leaving you behind. I'll see you on the ship. I'm sure you know where it is." He returned her wink as she left to tie up some loose ends. Nicholas unwrapped the package, admiring the log pose in his hands for a moment, before scooping up his paper and heading out of the bar. Time to get ready for their new voyage.
