Walking along the solid stone pavement of the streets of Baterilla, the young fighter of a pirate turned his gaze from left to right in search of the inn that belong to the family of the beautiful woman he talked to earlier, before he was arrested by the marines and sentenced to a day in the island's jail. He carefully kept his awareness on who was near him, helping him to stay out of the way of others as well as to not cause a raucous when bumping into someone. If he did, the soldier's of the government will just arrest him again and take what little money he had left. He needed to get by in the world as he traveled the raging seas and explore the darkest corner of the very landscape he lived within. Without much money, he could get what was require for important goals. To him, that was all money was good for. In his own opinion, money was not everything, it was just pieces of paper and metal used to help make one more fortunate. Without it, you could hardly get by. It is what you have other than currency that matter, such as friends. He was, in no possibly way, a greedy child or spoiler for that matter. In fact, he was very generous, willing to offered what other needed most in their lives.
"Hmm, Now where was that family establishment that belonged to that pretty lady. I am certain it is around here somewhere. In any case, I am so glad that my legs have healed themselves to an extent I can't even feel the soreness anymore. At least I can fight how I used to before those injuries happen. Being a good fighter was important in being a pirate. If you could fight, your dead. A cold, yet simple fact. One must not forget something as important." The adolescent child thought to himself as he continued to look for the beautiful woman's family's inn while he progressed in walking through the streets of Baterilla. He also, inwardly thanked the fact that he could walk and fight without feeling the pain that once permeated his two legs prior to his healing even beginning. While he did, another concept, or fact for that matter, entered his intelligent mind. It was the idea of fighting being essential for a pirate while out at the dangerous seas that filled the ever-changing world of mystery and adventure.
With every step he took, he close examined his surrounding which each moment that passed him. He wanted to find the inn as soon as possible, not because he desired the Sand-Sand Fruit badly, but because he wanted to apologize for making the woman worried. She seem like a nice person to be around and she trusted him enough to tell of the whereabouts on the Devil Fruit he searching for. Unfortunately, it was either he pride or inexperience, which led to his downfall against the type of marines he faced. More specifically, one ensign, who had previously eaten a Devil Fruit, which allowed him to take on the form of a beetle. He never knew there was that kind of power. Of course, there is the possibility that anyone could have any power, depending on the fruit eaten. It was mostly left up to chance when concerning these objects containing something extraordinary. With a hard armored shell to protect him against the full brunt of ordinary attacks, it was very difficult to harm someone, like him. What more is that he ended up having a few of his ribs and both of his legs broken in the process. The only advantage what being to focus the power of his blows into a single point or get a power pf his own to match the ensign in their next confrontation. He had a feeling he will be seeing that man against. if not soon, then, later.
As he traversed further into the the town on the island he was currently stationed at, he noticed a building in the distance that stood out from the rest. From sheer appearance, it looked to be an inn, probably the beautiful woman's family's establishment he had been looked for so long. It was very large and provided must room for whomever was stopping by and stay for the night. t reached over three stories high and looked to be well-taken care of by it's owners. The adolescent boy suspected it to be truly important to the family that owns it. He sees it as their home. It was be cruel to even insult such a comfortable establishment, knowing full-well what it could offer and the peaceful nights it could bring. Malik, on the other hand, was not here to sleep, he was here to speak to the pretty lady. Speaking of whom, while drawing closer to the family inn, he could see a familiar face within the distance. It was the woman he wanted to apologize to. She looked to be leaning against the outer-walls of the building as she seemed to be in-thought. He decided to break her concentration and apparent anxiousness with a friendly greeting. His walk quickly turned into a jog, allowing him to approach her at a slightly faster rate.
"Miss, It's me, the boy you were talking to at your stand!" He exclaimed, trying to get her attention, which he did. Hearing his voice, she looked up to where the familiar voice came from and immediate gave a soft smile of relief.
