Walking along the solid stone pavement of the streets of Baterilla, the young fighter of a pirate turned his gaze from left to right in search of the inn that belong to the family of the beautiful woman he talked to earlier, before he was arrested by the marines and sentenced to a day in the island's jail. He carefully kept his awareness on who was near him, helping him to stay out of the way of others as well as to not cause a raucous when bumping into someone. If he did, the soldier's of the government will just arrest him again and take what little money he had left. He needed to get by in the world as he traveled the raging seas and explore the darkest corner of the very landscape he lived within.  Without much money, he could get what was require for important goals. To him, that was all money was good for. In his own opinion, money was not everything, it was just pieces of paper and metal used to help make one more fortunate. Without it, you could hardly get by. It is what you have other than currency that matter, such as friends. He was, in no possibly way, a greedy child or spoiler for that matter. In fact, he was very generous, willing to offered what other needed most in their lives.

"Hmm, Now where was that family establishment that belonged to that pretty lady. I am certain it is around here somewhere. In any case, I am so glad that my legs have healed themselves to an extent I can't even feel the soreness anymore. At least I can fight how I used to before those injuries happen. Being a good fighter was important in being a pirate. If you could fight, your dead. A cold, yet simple fact. One must not forget something as important." The adolescent child thought to himself as he continued to look for the beautiful woman's family's inn while he progressed in walking through the streets of Baterilla. He also, inwardly thanked the fact that he could walk and fight without feeling the pain that once permeated his two legs prior to his healing even beginning. While he did, another concept, or fact for that matter, entered his intelligent mind. It was the idea of fighting being essential for a pirate while out at the dangerous seas that filled the ever-changing world of mystery and adventure.

With every step he took, he close examined his surrounding which each moment that passed him. He wanted to find the inn as soon as possible, not because he desired the Sand-Sand Fruit badly, but because he wanted to apologize for making the woman worried. She seem like a nice person to be around and she trusted him enough to tell of the whereabouts on the Devil Fruit he searching for. Unfortunately, it was either he pride or inexperience, which led to his downfall against the type of marines he faced. More specifically, one ensign, who had previously eaten a Devil Fruit, which allowed him to take on the form of a beetle. He never knew there was that kind of power. Of course, there is the possibility that anyone could have any power, depending on the fruit eaten. It was mostly left up to chance when concerning these objects containing something extraordinary. With a hard armored shell to protect him against the full brunt of ordinary attacks, it was very difficult to harm someone, like him. What more is that he ended up having a few of his ribs and both of his legs broken in the process. The only advantage what being to focus the power of his blows into a single point or get a power pf his own to match the ensign in their next confrontation. He had a feeling he will be seeing that man against. if not soon, then, later.

As he traversed further into the the town on the island he was currently stationed at, he noticed a building in the distance that stood out from the rest. From sheer appearance, it looked to be an inn, probably the beautiful woman's family's establishment he had been looked for so long. It was very large and provided must room for whomever was stopping by and stay for the night. t reached over three stories high and looked to be well-taken care of by it's owners. The adolescent boy suspected it to be truly important to the family that owns it. He sees it as their home. It was be cruel to even insult such a comfortable establishment, knowing full-well what it could offer and the peaceful nights it could bring. Malik, on the other hand, was not here to sleep, he was here to speak to the pretty lady. Speaking of whom, while drawing closer to the family inn, he could see a familiar face within the distance. It was the woman he wanted to apologize to. She looked to be leaning against the outer-walls of the building as she seemed to be in-thought. He decided to break her concentration and apparent anxiousness with a friendly greeting. His walk quickly turned into a jog, allowing him to approach her at a slightly faster rate.

"Miss, It's me, the boy you were talking to at your stand!" He exclaimed, trying to get her attention, which he did. Hearing his voice, she looked up to where the familiar voice came from and immediate gave a soft smile of relief.

The adolescent child's jog slowed to a gentle walk. As he did, anxiety began to creep it's way into his soul. He knew that she had been waiting for him since she left for her family's inn in order not to become involved with a previous battle between him and marine soldiers. It was his own fault for making her wait this long and he will take full responsibility. He will even accept any punishment as compensation for the woman's anxiety. If she was angry, he will have to face her wrath, since he has little to no choice in this matter. The pretty lady stopped leaning on the outer-wall and stood up straight. She then, turned on her feet and started to walk towards the young pirate. As she grew closer, the anxious feeling with the young fighter grew. How interesting to note in this very moment that explaining what had recently happened to him felt more difficult than and battle ever was. Even his latest confrontation with Steele where he had his legs and parts of his rib cage broken. The battle may have given him the worse pain he has ever felt, but not the the same nervousness he felt right now. In battle, his heart swells with very excitement even in the instance where he suffers critical blows. It does nothing, but intensify his his determination. However, he knows when he is defeated such as when he surrendered to Steele when he broke his legs. He knew his combative prowess was drastically decreased the moment that occurred, so he decided to wait until his injuries healed. When both the woman and teenage boy were close enough, they both stopped, facing each other. Malik braced himself for whatever is to come, but instead, she hugged him tenderly. This caused the both surprised and confused adolescent warrior's face to turn a light shade of red.

"B-But, I-I thought you would be angry with me. I was arrested and sent to jail for a day. Additionally, I made you wait her and worry, are you not angry with me?" He questioned, trying to understand the reason behind the woman's current actions. He was partially right at this time. A part of her was mad at him for getting into trouble, arrested, and sent to jail coupled with the fact that she had to wait for the length of a whole day to see, if he would get to her family's inn safely. However, most of herself was both happy and relieved to the point that she wasn't going to yell at him or chew the teenage boy for his single mistake. After all, he was safe and that was all that matter. It felt funny to her. She had not known him for at least a week, and yet she was grateful he was alright. It may be due to the fact that he as a still a teenager and that he had so much to live for. The very thought of his life ending at such an age actually scared her. At this moment, she was glad he was alright and hoped that he had suffered any permanent damage from the previous confrontation he had to endure. He may be a pirate now, but he was also a child who had yet to witness many hardships to come.

"I was, but I am more happy than angry. I admit that what your were trying to do was reckless and dangerous, but you are here safe. You are still young and have much to learn and I can see in your eyes that you both realize and acknowledge that. However, I feel like I must give you discipline for making me wait so long. Do you mind with helping out around my family inn. I know you are searching for a Devil Fruit around here, but looking for it too soon can lead to serious problems, like being sent to jail. I can only guess you lost a heap of money, too. By the way, I forgot to tell you my name, haven't I. You can call me Zatania." The woman said as she explained on both her feelings and actions towards Malik. As the adolescent listened, he nodded in understanding about his current status and that he has so much to learn. He was still human, after all. He can only do so much as one man, one child to be accurate. There were thing man could and could not control. Control was both an illusion and a reality meaning there things they were and weren't capable of, but this decided on who the individual, making the possibilities of what one is capable of endless. Hearing what he aforementioned punishment was going to be, he gave a small smile, knowing full-well that he was not going to get out of this without a for of discipline as well as at the fact she gave him her name.

"No, I do not mind at all. You can give me any task that is best suited to my ability. I deserve it after all. Besides, it might be a a way to get to know you and your family. I wish you could meet mine, Zantania." Malik said, accepting full responsibility with his actions and the worry he had caused Zatania. He had to admit, it was a lovely name she had. It goes great with how pretty she was. Although, he wonders how old she is. He will find out sooner or later when he enters the inn her family owns. Speaking of which, with a happily nodding and turn on her feet, the beautiful woman began to walk towards the entrance with Malik quickly follow behind her. When she made it to the doors of the building, she stopped. The adolescent halted as well. Zatania then, held up both her hands and grabbed the handles of both doors in front of her and pushed them open. The swung inwards into the building with the woman letting go of the rectangular entrance. She then, walked inside with the teenage boy following suit. He was about the meet Zatania's family with his very own eyes.

As both individuals simply traversed through the entrance of the large building, the scenery for the adolescent male quickly changed as he took each step closer into the inn. The confines of the establishment appeared rather comfy from the young fighter's point-of-view as well as being very spacious to boot. There were various room he could see in his line of sight, which provided safe living conditions to anyone that desired to stay for a certain period of time. Even, if it was a entire year, they wouldn't mind as long as they had the money to pay. Due to being a three-story building, there were three levels to walk up to with the same number of stairs. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay at. However, while Malik himself may be staying at this building, he would not just be laying around and deciding on furthering his search for the Sand-Sand Fruit, but also be put to work as compensation for the trouble he had gotten himself into. It was like paying a debt to society. It was also a form of punishment for making Zatania worry about him. While relieved, she felt like what he did was reckless and beyond dangerous. She personally believed that he would be in an out of prison for the rest of his life, if he were to keep up such actions he did previously in the past. While walking, Zatania turned on her feet and walked to a counter of sorts with Malik following close behind. When they reached it, they both stopped. Behind it was a grown man with feature of resemblance to the beautiful woman he had become friends with.

"Hey Dad, this a friend of mine. His name is Malik and he is here to help around the inn. As compensation, do you think he can stay here as long as he does his work?" The beautiful woman asked the man now known as her father, trying to get her teenage friend a place to stay as long as he finishes his work and helps around the establishment very often as she introduced him through hand gestures aimed to him. Speaking of said area where Zatania and her family live at, it was well-looked at. It had the appearance of being as good as new and it was seem it has be cared for very much by the people who owned this large building. It was truly important to them, if the adolescent fighter were to say so himself. He would have to admit that if he were to have something precise to him, he would take care of it as much as a rare jewel. Now that he thinks about it, that very jewel would be his hoodie, which was made by his loving mother. It holds many memories and he can hardly bare to part with it, unless it was either in a safe area or with someone who he could trust with his very life. With a simple nod, the grown man decided to speak to answer his beautiful danger.

"Of course, dear, your friend can stay here as long as he does his chores and is not a hindrance. As for you, young man, my name is Gerith, Zatania's father. It is a pleasure to meet you. Remember, I expected to see you helping around our family inn very much, so don't go taking it for advantage." The handsome adult adult male revealed by the name, Gerith, said as he expected the young pirate to do his part and not be an ungrateful little brat, who uses the precious time given to him for personal gain such as a cold-hearted thief. From the tone of the man's voice, he was strict, but kind. His very aura gave off a sense of tough love. In which the person they care about loves them back, but through a strict and understand matter. Almost as if they were trying to teach their loved one's a lesson about life such as this man before Malik. The adolescent's response was that of a firm nodding of his head as of a certain way for him to show that Gerith can trust him entirely and make sure that his very faith did not go to waste when put in the teenage by's own hands.

"I promise, sir, I will not waste the precious time you have given me. After all, you are letting me stay here. To me, being lazy or slothful while you are allowing myself the chance of staying here in such a great place would be robbing you of precise time. I assure you, I will put every once of my being into working and helping keep your inn in top shape. When I make a promise I keep it." The young pirate said, making an oath that he will accomplish any task set before him. The look in his very eyes tells the man that he was serious about not wasting any time Gerith might give. He was indeed grateful for the father of his friend allowing him to stay at the inn. At least until it was time for him to set off on another adventure. The man can see from the adolescent's very gaze that he seemed more of a mature individual rather than a simple child. He wasn't spoiled or immature, like certain other teenagers he knew well of. In fact, he seemed more like a young adult, who takes life quite seriously as well as at an appropriate rate of sorts. Gerith himself was already starting to like the boy.

The man had meet many teenagers in all the years he has lived in flesh, but never before had he seen such  a boy committed to what he chooses to do. from the stories his daughter had told him, this must be the adolescent pirate who recently picked a fight with the marines a few days ago. He was so young, yet he had accumulated a bounty nearing an amount of one million beli. He must be very powerful indeed, especially after hearing him bring down an entire organization single-handedly. From how young the teenage fighter looked, he appears to just be starting out his life as a pirate. While growing up, Gerith had come to know two types of pirates, those who retire for whatever reason and those who stayed as one for the entirety of their life. It was like dying a great adventurer, warrior, or infamous entity from his point of view. He may not know the reasons for why Malik chose to be a pirate, but he can only guess that they were righteous. Turning on his feet, the grown man moved from where he stood previously during his little conversation with the teenage child. He then, stopped and gestured with his right arm to his corresponding side to an entrance without a working door installed in, revealing a kitchen.

"Well, first off, I would like you to help wash the dishes. I am sure while growing up you did plenty of chores from where you used to live. Don't worry about me, I'm not just going to stand around and do nothing myself. I'll just be sweeping along the floors to pass the time. Also let's make this more interesting. If you can finish cleaning those dishes in thirty minutes, you can retire early. If you fail to do so, then, you will have to clean the second level, sounds fair, kiddo?" Gerith said, already beginning the boy's job with a simple chore with cleaning dishes. Zatania simply smiled and shook her head. Her father can sometimes be unpredictable, yet very much fair. He knows that the adolescent pirate is still a boy and with what he had been through the last day, decided to take it easy on him At least until he was certain he could handle more difficult tasks around the family inn. Hearing and recognizing the challenge in front of him, Malik took it as a sign to get back on track from where he left off with Zatania by helping her family little by little. The strong-willed fighter was most certain he could clean dishes easily, but how many there were is left to be questioned. Considering the state of the building and how often travelers and island inhabitants stay here, the teenage boy can only guess that there were so many. If so, he was prepared to finish the task laid out before him.

"Of course, good sir, It sounds of appropriate difficulty for someone, like me. I will quickly start on my work. It really doesn't matter how much there is for me. I am willing to doing anything to make up for the worry I put your daughter through and for that I am truly sorry. I will see to that I complete this assignment you have put out for me. Even if I should happen to fail, I can still work more and be of more use around your home." The adolescent fighter said in an enthusiastic tone, reassuring Gerith and Zatania, who was on his right side, that whatever task was before him, he will compete no matter how much time it will take, as a result. He turned on his feet and began to walk to his left. The young fighter circled around the stand his friend's father was behind. When he was on the other side, he stopped at the entrance without a door, which lead to the kitchen and slowly looked inside. Standing at the counter in the room were a multitude of plates and dirty dishes that dreadfully needed to be clean. While there was certain a large stationed where it was, Malik was certain he could clean them all in record time.

With a determined nod, he stepped inside the kitchen, walking over to the sink where the dishes were standing at. When he was at a close enough range, he halted his form of traverse and turned the angle of his gaze to see where he can find rubber gloves. His narrowed eyes managed to quickly settle on a fitting pair in front of himself. He smoothly reached for them and put them over his hands. When he was done, he immediately got to doing dishes by reaching towards the right nob needed for turning on the hot variation of sink water using his left hand. He then, grabbed the object before him, giving a firm clockwise turn allowing the clear, steaming liquid to burst for from the fossett. He, immediately, let go of the knob and reached for a dirty plate that needed much cleanliness on his left side. When he grabbed it, he then, reached for the liquid soap with his right hand, easily holding it in his grip as well. He quickly began to clean dishes by squirting the soap on the filthy ceramic. He smoothly put the soap down in a safe spot and grabbed a sponge within his reach, immediately beginning to scrub through the grime etched within the fine china he sees in his grip.

Both Gerith and Zatania watch from an unnoticeable distance while that gaze at Malik working in the kitchen. He was doing a marvelous job at a swell pace. He was even thoroughly examining each dish he had recently clean to make sure that if he missed any areas where filth seemed to remained, he would immediately get to removing it before moving on to the next grime-covered fine china. He was moving at a fair fast pace. Already in the course of ten minutes had he nearly cleaned almost half of the assortment of dirty dishes placed before him. He was indeed a hardworking individual. He must have helped out around his former house when he still lived with his parents. What they thought is what was right. Malik quite often assisted his beloved mother in much housework when he was younger. Those numerous experience in his early childhood came very conveniently to this day as he was doing well with erasing any grime that permeated the very surface of the dishes he was introducing cleanliness to in his own way. Of course, when you volunteer to perform chores from the beginning as a child, you develop a natural talent at cleaning and doing work that would induce boredom to some. For Malik, it finds it as a way to escape boredom. Twenty minutes have passed and now he was nearly finished with cleaning all of the dishes. However, just because he was almost finished, does not mean he can become slothful. He had to stay diligent and focused to finished what he started.

Gerith smoothly went about on his own chores as he swiftly sweep along the floor with a hand-held broom in his right grip, collecting any dust within a large dust pan resting in his left. When it was full he would simply walk over to the trash can close to the entrance of the entire building and dump in. He would then, walk back over to where he left off with sweeping to begin the process all over again. He never showed any sign of exhaustion while he did his work nor did the boy for that matter. That is what Gerith liked to see in his workers, no laziness. Always the display of commitment in place of that neglect. Zatania, on the other hand, was seen coming down a flight of stairs after she just finished recently showing one of the newer arrivals to their room. As she steadily descend from the steps, she looked to her left and right to see both her father and new friend easily accomplishing their individual chores without any complaint. When she finally made it to the bottom level, her sight remained on Malik. Now that she saw him more thoroughly, she could see he was like her father in many senses, especially when they were both young. Of course, the adolescent fighter was more interesting in a life of piracy, yet he was willing to help out anyone who needed assistance with something.

"Hah, finished at last." Malik stated, having completed his most recent task to date in under twenty-five minutes with an extra five to spare. With all the dishes cleaned and put away safely, the young warrior decided to remove his rubbery gloves. When he did, he gently sat down near the sink on his left side for later use, if he were to do this chore again while he was still staying here. The teenage boy then, turned on his feet ans proceeded to walk out of the kitchen. As Zatania saw him leaving, she turned her gaze towards the clock closest to her on her right. From when he began and finished washing the dishes, it was close to twenty-five minutes. The woman was impressed by Malik's perseverance. He had worked diligently without any distractions and complaints. When the adolescent boy exited the same way he had entered the kitchen, he looked around to see how the family inn was holding up. There were many individuals seated and enjoy each other's company. He also saw certain others with similarities to both Gerith and Zatania. He suspects them to be part of their family. He turned to his right and began to walk out from behind the booth he saw his friends father working at. When he was in front of the counter he changed his direction towards Zatania. He simply stopped at an appropriate distance from her to speak.

"Well, I've finished washing the dishes. Where is your father, by the way. I would like to ask him, if it was okay for me to start cleaning on the second level, even though I have finished the dishes in less than thirty minutes." The adolescent hard-worker said, surprising the beautiful woman before him that he actually seemed to have a liking towards the concept of work. It appeared to her that Malik dislike the idea of boredom. In the teenage boy's own opinion, one was only bored, if they do nothing. So, if he were to not do anything, boredom would slowly creeping into his heart. He did dread the concept, in fact, he thought nothing of it. He would much rather do what he desires rather than do nothing. Shockingly to most kids his age, he happens to like hard work. With all the teenagers she has meet, Zatania has never meet one such as Malik. Especially someone who actually likes working. He seemed more like a young adult than a immature child to her than anything else. The time he will spend stay at this building will certainly be an interesting time for both her and her family. She could see it in the boy's eyes as he spoke to her on the whereabouts of her father.

"Hmhm, well, my dad is on the second floor leading a new arrival to where they will be staying for the time being. Also, I think you have done enough work for today. You deserve a good rest. If you happen to go on a search for that Devil Fruit, try not to get caught again. Otherwise, me and my dad are here waiting with more work for you to do. I never did give you the info you wanted. So, I guess I should tell you now with the spare time we have. They say that the object call the Sand-Sand Fruit is located somewhere in the islands largest lake. Your can get to by entering the forest from behind the inn. It's up to you whether you want to go their or not. If you do then, good luck." The beautiful woman said in a hushed tone, finishing her explanation on where to find the Devil Fruit the teen pirate desires with a cute wink, which caused the adolescent fighter to have his cheeks tinted with a light shade of red. Zatania was certain cute in his opinion and was definitely willing to hold up to her word for more work, if he happens to find himself in trouble with the marine ever again. She does have a point, the soldiers of the World Government were not meant to be taken likely. They were strong enough individually for someone of his caliber, but in a group, they were more than enough trouble. So, it is best to simply lay low for now and sneak his way into the location she gave him directions on. He has heard much about Baterilla, so he was well-aware of the wildlife that lived within the forest.

"U-Uh sure, thanks you for telling me that. Now I know were to look for what I seek. Still, I am going to think about what lies ahead and not blindly rush into trouble. The animals that live in that forest are vicious or so I've heard. Again, I thank you for what you told me. I am deeply appreciative of your deep concern." The young martial artist said with a smile, wanting to think things through now that he has found a way to the Sand-Sand Fruit. His way at gain a power on his own. Even, if he should happen to lose his capability to swim, this common weakness reflects well to sand. Sand can come at a possible disadvantage when pitted against water. Maybe the power locked deep within the Devil Fruit will give his strengths that can help him overcome this certain weakness to sand. Whatever power it was, it had something to do with this naturally occur force that stems from the element of earth. Despite his excitement at wanting to have it, he knows he must be patient as their are many dangers that stood between him at the power he desired. He must be so cocky as he was with the marines or so he claimed. From his opinion, arrogance gave him two previously broken legs and a few broken ribs. Even though his injuries have healed successfully, he could still remember what the soreness in his body felt like.

While he sit retained a slight blush on the sides of his faces, Malik had an expression that borders between distant and formulation. He was in thought about what to do next now that he has heard news about where to find the Devil Fruit that contained the power he had been in search of. There were many problems ahead. One, which he could address with ease, the various beasts that inhabited the forest region of the island. Along with that, numerous obstacles stood in his way such as any possible enemies, those who may also be searching for the Sand-Sand Fruit, and much more to come. There were endless surprises that awaited one in this life and the next. He had to be cautious of his surroundings, but that does not mean he should not enjoy the precious peace and tranquil times that pop up right in front of him. They were a sign that goodness could take a rest from fighting the wicked, a sign that happiness was possible in a world that was both sinful, yet beautiful. It was because of many thing that gave it such majestic grace, the fact that it was created by the Lord for man to live, the fact that many good heroes, warriors, and good-natured individuals exist within it, the fact that nature helps shape it. Malik motioned himself to move towards the stair Zatania stood next too. See that he wants to go upstairs to think about it, the woman hold her left open-palm, causing him to stop.

"Wait, since you'll be staying with us for the time being, why don't I help lead you to your room. Just follow me and we'll be there in no time." She said in a helpful tone and she turned on her feet and started to walk up the stairs. The adolescent boy quickly moved up to the level himself, keeping close to the woman that was his friend. He steadily looked around and examined his surroundings. This was so he wouldn't become lost in such a large building. He didn't have to worry about losing his sense of direction with Zatania leading him around. She has been so kind to him, even when they first meet one another. While leading her friend up the flight of stairs, the woman couldn't help, but think about the person she has meet while selling fruit on the streets. She happens to sell such type of food two times a week this month. It was to help her family, which she knows Malik can respect as he too has a family, though they were probably back at home. This brings up the question on where he was from. While walking up the staircase, she decided to start a conversation with the boy's origins the current subject. She did hope she wasn't prying into anything important as well as private.

"Uh, I would like to ask. Where are you from, Malik?" She ask, wanting to know more about the person she has recently become friends with. It would appear, the teenage boy was going have to express a small portion on his upbringing into the brave fighter he is now. He didn't have to worry on what he really had to say, since there was no secret in telling her about his home. He did wander about Zatania's on upbringing while she was growing up. As they traverse to the second floor of the family inn, Malik could help by be caught off-guard by he lovely figure. She had a well-endowed by, accompanied by a large bust and hips. He also has the most funny of feelings he has had so far that she was move in a way to tease him using her beauty. Malik tried as much to look away as much as possible while both remaining on the subject and trying to keep an eye on her to follow the woman to his room. He was beginning to realize he was blushing a darker shade of red. He was thankful Zatania couldn't see how he looks now. She would probably take this opportunity to tease him.

"W-Well, first off, I originate from Karate Island. Growing up, I was taught the art of combat and soon became a skilled fighter. Zatania, If I may, can I ask how was it for growing up?" The teenage boy ask, wanting to know more about the beautiful woman walking in front of him.

Despite still continuing up the staircase, Zatania was taken aback by his question. She should have expected that Malik was ask something such as that. When they reached the top of the stairs, the beautiful female changed her direction towards a walk where she can balance herself on to catch a moment to think to herself. The adolescent boy simply just halted his steps momentarily as it was appear Zatania was finished traversing for the time being and appears to need a moment to recollect herself on what has been said. It would appear that Malik had entered in territory that would seem private. Either that or it was presumed to be embarrassing for her to express to anyone else. Which ever way it goes, he feels as if he has stumbled into certain boundaries Zatania has put up in front of others. Whether it was private or not, it probably wasn't his business. When the pretty lady made it towards the part of the wall she wanted, she turned on her feet and leaned towards it, her back touching it seconds later. She was now in thought about whether or not she should tell her new friend on her origins. Perhaps it was safe as long as he revealed more about his past. Maybe this situation they were in now will come to an interesting climax in the knowledge of one another. First, the woman took a deep breath and exhaled.

"Sorry, I just didn't expect you to say that. I guess I should've been prepared for it in the first when I asked you about where your from. Didn't know you were a natural-born fighter. It's only right that I tell you more about myself. Get comfy, 'cause this is gonna take sometime to explain. First of all, my family is originally from Crescent Island. My day felt that our family was too enclosed on the land mass as we were not that much connected to other places in the world. So, we moved to a place better suited for our dreams to pass, even if it is under the influence of the government. I want to let you know that there is a connection on my knowledge on the Sand-Sand Fruit and my family. My grandfather used to have the power of this fruit before his inevitable death at sea. You see, he was a pirate and a great person who inspired freedom and happiness for others. So, I would like to answer this question, if I may. What are you going to do with the that kind of power when you get it?" Zatania said, explaining on the origins of bother her family and her connection to the same Devil Fruit Malik is searching for. The adolescent never would have thought that she was related to a pirate, a good one at that. From how she described him, the young fighter could tell she loved her grandfather very much and misses him. At moments like this, he was glad to know what to do with power he has earned without feeling shame in the least. Before answering her question, Malik started to walk closer to her. When he was at a appropriate distance, he decided to stop, stand two inches in front of her.

"The truth is, when I find and gain that power, I am going to put it to good use. I will use it to protect others from the darkness that stretches over and infects the land we live on. I will use it to save the innocent that are in peril as well as help inspire freedom, like your grandfather did. Growing up, I have learned that great power comes with great responsibility. Once you have been given a gift, it shouldn't be wasted. It should be use rightly and nobly. I know much about Devil Fruits. My father also taught me about them. When someone with a power that gained from eating this type of fruit dies, the extraordinary abilities they had is reborn and returns to the cycle. Believe me when I say this, I will not let anyone have the Devil Fruit and misuse it for evil intentions. If possible, I will be the one to inherit your grandfather's will. After all, a member of my family had that power before they died. When you look at it, both of our paths are intertwined. Tell me, do you want to become a pirate?" The young teenage warrior said, finishing with a question on what his friend would like to be. Zatania had to say, her newest friend certain knew how to leave others speechless, even if, he didn't realized it himself. To hear his reasons, why he was searching for it, and how it connects both of there families with the fact that a deceased relative used to have  that same power is more than she could handle. All she could think or even see in Malik was a righteous man who's desires was to be a being of heroic stature. What shocked her the most was his question to finalize his words. A question on whether she wanted to be a pirate or not. The beautiful woman stood from leaning on the wall and embraced the adolescent boy.

"Yes, I do wish to become a pirate. It's just that I don't know where to start. I am glad you said those words to me, because now I know your are a good man with a heart filled with virtue. If you do find that Devil Fruit, I am sure both your late loved one and my grandfather would be honored to see such a great person using the power they once held. You can go anytime you wish. All I ask is that you come back safe, okay?" Zatania said finishing with a promise that he comes back alive. Malik was taken aback by the sudden embraced, but soon returned the hug she gave him. He had never meet a person, like her before. Realizing what she was just doing, the beautiful girl immediately released her hold on him, her face turning a bright shade of red. Malik himself had a tint of this color on his cheeks, though on Zatania it was more noticeable. If he had to choose who will be part of his crew here and now, it would definitely be her. She seem to have the courage, spunk, and ingenuity to be a formidable person at sea. Though, joining him with a bounty as large as will obviously make her a criminal as well. If that should happen, he will defend her with all his might, like he would with any other of his friends and comrade.

A few hours have passed and Malik was already traversing through the thick forests that permeated much of the island. He was well focused and  altered his gaze according to the landscape around him, which was litter with large and healthy trees. The people have done good to leave this part of the island alone as nature here was overflowing with much life. With each step he took, he turned to see, if any dangers were lurking close to him. He certainly had to keep an eye out as this part of Baterilla was full of majestic, yet ferocious beasts. They could tear into his flesh and dine on his corpse for lunch. It was certainly not a pretty picture, but he himself was powerful in his own right. He had both inhuman strength and speed, which can crush his opponents and snap their bodies in the likeness of twigs. While he progressed through the thickness of the woods around his him, he began to remember what Zatania said. It was about the promise his made to her. That he will come back safe and survive. If he can find the Sand-Sand Fruit and return to Zatania's family inn, he will be home free. He knows he will face multiple obstacles in his path and so, he will be prepared for whatever may come his way. Especially, if some of those obstacles are enemies he has to defeat.

"So far so good, now sign of any dangers yet, but, if there were, I will be ready. I have to stay diligent and retain my concentration." The adolescent fighter thought, constantly reminding himself to stay on task and being very much alert of any threat that should happen to eclipse his presence. He was told more information on this Devil Fruit he was searching for as well as where he can exactly find it. Unfortunately, it somehow ended in the island's lake, which was huge in size and contained the land mass's mos dangerous creature, the Bananawani. They were reptile of great width and height, said to be the only known natural predator of Sea Kings. This fact makes them more dangerous than one might think. As he continue to move through the trees that stood in his path, he began to see a large space approaching him and he walked further into the jungle-like terrain. With each step he took, he suddenly heard a growl of the feline variety. Curious, Malik went behind large, nearby tree to hide his figure from what was up ahead. He slowly looked from behind it and there he saw a an adult tiger, a serious expression etched on the animal's face.

The young warrior took a moment to collect himself by inhaling and exhaling repeatedly. There are some creatures that were relentless and will not stop until they get their prey. Many tigers were the same as what is depicted of such beasts. Malik was not standing behind the tree out of fear, but to see, if there any other wild animals close to the tiger he laid eyes upon. Looking around from where he stood, he saw no such creatures other than the tiger he desires to fight. He must be careful when fighting. This type of feline was tenacious as well as ferocious. They won't stop until they were given a serious beat down or were stricken with great fear in their hearts. Deciding to take the animal head-on, Malik moves from behind the tree and walks into the open, standing down the tiger. His expression was that of courage and determination, unwavering. When the ferocious beast noticed the boy, the creature let out a mighty roar. This did nothing to slow him down. He, in fact, smirked at the challenge. He positioned himself for a battle to come as did the tiger. However, the teenage boy noticed a four-legged silhouette approaching from behind the animal he was about to face. It was revealed to be another tiger.

"It would appear I will be facing two predators in this battle. This might be the first time I have had a serious confrontation with wild animals such as these. I should keep on my toes. Those claws they were built with are incredibly sharp." The adolescent fighter thought to himself, remembering to keep his concentration, especially now that there are two ferocious beasts wanting to pick a fight with him. If he was going to advance further, he was going have to defeat them. This will be a chance for him to test his skills against a part of nature. He is going to get to see how he measures up against wild animals of gifted power. Fighting animals  was far different than fighting against living beings. They relay mainly on instinct, most of them for that certain fact. Tigers were no different, it was how they were made. he was going have to utilize that instant of their in some way to have an advantage. Either that or overpower them with brute force, which he was certain he has plenty. Malik was stronger than the average man and could break someone's bones with his bare hands with little effort.

The adolescent fighter kept his eyes focused on both the animals in front of him, being cautious of their unpredictable movement should they happen to attack. Before he can begin to fight, he quickly unzipped his favorite cyan hoodie and took it off along with his blue backpack. He held both of them in his right hand before tossing them behind himself. They were able to land on a very long branch protruding from one of the large trees close to his position. Immediately, he made a dash towards the ferocious animals that stare him down with great intensity in their pupils. The violent beasts themselves charge straight towards the young warrior, seemingly ready to tear into the teenage boy. While rushing towards the tigers, he quickly moved to the right side. When he was close enough, he was able slide passed the tiger on the corresponding side he went to. The beast soon stopped charged and quickly tried to look around for any sign of the teenage boy they have been fighting to begin with. While they momentarily searched, Malik took this chance and rushed towards them from behind. When he was close enough, he jumped 3 feet into the air and above the tiger on the left, holding up his right leg. He then, slammed it down towards the beast's head. The heel drop from in the air was able to connect on top of the tiger skull.

The ferocious  creature roar in pain as the force of the impact on it's head made it quite difficult for the beast to keep standing. Quickly retracting his formerly outstretched limb, the teenage fighter was able to land safely on the ground. He stood and immediately took a few steps backwards to gain some distance between him and the animals he was fighting with. He ha a concentrated gaze on both of them, ready for what ever move they will try. Of course, he might be unprepared for the tigers' unpredictability. The beast on the right immediately noticed the adolescent behind it and quickly turned on it's four legs. Facing the teenage warrior, the creature rush him, a murderous look in it's eyes. As the tiger made a dash towards Malik, the boy could see the animal's claws were now extended, ready to tear into his skin with all their might. Quickly the boy positioned himself as the beast grew closer. In that moment, the tiger made a slashing maneuver with it's right claw with fierce determination. The young pirate immediately dodged to his left. He was able to avoid the full brunt of the assault, but the attack front the tiger cut through both his clothes and skin, leaving three slash marking on both. The young warrior winced at the pain inflicted on him, but remained firm in stance. The pain was only minor, but he remained cautious as they can do worse. Luckily, he packed

"Alright, mighty warrior of the jungle. Now it is my turn to show you what I'm made of." The martial artist thought, preparing to use one of his techniques from his fighting style. It had certainly been a while since he had use them. Positioning himself, he clenched his right hand into a fist and immediately focused a large portion of his superhuman strength into it. He was getting ready to utilize an attack, which had come to be known as one of his signatures, Ryuutakashi. When he was finished gathering power in his fist, he immediately gave a sharp thrust towards the right side of the animal's torso. The blow was able to connect with the beast, delivering a strong impact that inflicted moderate damage to the ferocious creature. The tiger ended up growling in pain. Malik then, followed up with raising his left leg up in the air. He then, performed a heel drop. The kick was able to hit the beast on it's back, slamming the animal on the ground. When the creature's body hit the dirt, a large thud emanated from it's body as a result from the force of the impact due to the heel drop.

While it did not defeat the beast, it did left the animal stunned enough long enough for the boy to turn his attention towards the other tiger who had regained it's balance and was now facing the teenage boy. It's eyes read simply anger and provocation of attack. Obviously, it was from the most recent hit his had inflicted on the beast's head. The young warrior positioned himself, ready for whatever kind of tactic the tiger pull. Of course, this was a wild animal he was fighting against. It's movements were more predictable than a living beings, so it was easy to dodge it's moves. Of course, this creature more ferocious an every animal had there own way of fighting. Fortunately, Malik high-level intellect help him understood how tigers fight, simple ans straightforward. The beast immediately charged him head-on. Know what  the animal was going to do next, the teenage fighter simply crouched down then, jumped high in the air. He was able to jump over the tiger that was charging at him. Unfortunately, the animal ended it ramming into the other feline, toppling over one another. Malik was able to land safely on his feet. When he did, he quickly turned around to see the current state of both animals before himself.

As he gazed upon the two beasts, whom are momentarily trying to untangle themselves, it was obvious it was going to take a certain amount of time before they free them selves from each other's grip. It was certainly embarrassing for such mighty creatures to find themselves in a hilarious bind. He had to admit it was funny, but this was no time to laugh nor take it easy and treat this battle with little care. Even when fighting animals, especially beasts such the ones he face, there was a great chance he could be seriously injured. Speaking of injuries, Malik looked down at the three slash-shaped rips that had been put across from his shirt. Not only that, the same could be said about his skin. Three slash-shaped marks etched onto his chest. Luckily, it torn deep into his flesh. By the appearance of these wounds, it will not result into a scar. Though, Malik would find it certainly interesting, if these wounds did. These injuries were certainly not life-threatening, but very irritating as he can still feel the sting of the cuts into his fight every time he moved his chest. He will just have to endure this annoying soreness for the time being. He has first-aid that can help heal himself, courtesy of Zatania.

It was certainly quite nice of her to help him fill up on supplies before traveling in the forests on the island. Honestly, the teenage boy was expecting some excitement, even, if it was coming across violent animals such as these two tigers. Malik was well-aware of the dangers hidden within this part of Baterilla and will remain cautious as there could be more animals wandering around. These two tigers could part of a pack, but since no others have shown themselves this instant, they might be the only two creature dwelling in this part of the forest. For now, he was certain that he can rest after he defeats these two tigers, who are trying to tear him apart. Also, the adolescent fighter could see the hungry look in their eyes. From his hypothesis, if they had a look of hunger and aggression within their eyes from their first meeting, then they obviously must have  been searching for food. They may be wild beasts, but Malik was not going to kill them. He was just going to make it so they cannot put up a fight anymore. Then, he will simply search for something edible for tiger to eat. With his gifted intellect, he knows what animals of this variety love to eat.

These feline are not looking for a fight, they were simply hungry. Poor guys, maybe when this is over, I could go and get them something they can eat. Who knows, perhaps I will end up making friends out of this creatures." The young pirate thought, not wanting to harm these animals as they were not being vicious by choice, but rather they were searching for a way to survive. For a predator or any other creature living out in the regions where nature is harsh on others, sustenance is especially vital to the system. This was even more so true when fairing against the weather of a desert. There was sand as far as the eye can see, little to no vegetation or signs of life, and was nearly uninhabitable. Unless you have the right supplies to survive in such an environment, you would be on the brink of death and at the mercy of the Lord. Frozen wasteland tend to have the same effect, but the intense heat is replaced by severe cold. As such, one might end up freezing to death. Either way you look at it, despite there hostile nature, these tigers were finding it very difficult to survive in this forest. Malik cannot simply leave them to starve. As the kind, helpful person he was, he is going to help them, even if this animals don't know it themselves.

Tigers along with most creatures acting on instinct were neither evil nor good, but were simply doing what they were made for. Predators were made to hunt, herbivores were made to eat vegetation, and certain animals were made to survive in specific environments. This majestic beasts looked to fit in this forest as long as there was food and water. A thought suddenly dawned on him. He had food stacked away in his backpack, which Zatania had made for him. When the tigers finally managed to free themselves from a hilarious entanglement, they stood up on their four legs and stare down the teenage boy in front of them. They seemed to be tired, signs of exhaustion getting to them. Despite this, they were not going to give in. Malik was starting to admire the tenacity of these animals. They were tough, strong-willed, and courageous. They had much in common with a great hero. The adolescent fighter soon shifted to his combative stance. Though, he has decided to take it easy on these creatures, even though they won't go easy on him. They were hungry and he could severely hurt this animals knowing they were already in a some form of pain. He was going to knock them down and make sure they were weakened enough to be unable to put up a fight.

The young adolescent fighter of a pirate kept his stern gaze locked on the two tigers, who stare at him with a narrowed looked that told him they long for food. He was certainly tragic to waste away as one starves while fending against the elements at work in the world. He was much hard while out as sea as a pirate. The animals were fortunate they did not know this information as they lacked a higher sense of awareness, awareness that human beings possessed. Because of that same sense, man is also able to think, which is commonly given to others by the Lord. God-given gifts were more so as they help one to set those apart for other humans as in reality, all were born different, being that man was created in God's image. This is partly why humans come in all shapes and sizes and why most animals of a certain species looked the same and displayed the same behavior. It was in their nature. In terms of Malik's point-of-view, living beings do not have  a common nature, which part of how we are able to choose who we want to be and yet, it is natural for the person they choose to be to act. Simple, yet complex, fathomable, yet fascinating.

"Here they come, Have to remember to at least hold back on the force I put into my attacks. I don't want to inflict severe injuries such as broken bones to them. I know that feeling all too well from my encounter with Steele. Luck had nothing to do with how the confrontation had turned out. It was my overconfidence and rashness that had blinded me from victory along with the fact that he had eaten a Devil Fruit. Having powers thanks those types of fruit gives those a better advantage in battle. When I find my own Devil fruit, I will be able to fight on equal plane with the others." The young adolescent fighter thought, reminding himself that he has to hold back on his exceptional strength while fighting against these hunger creatures. This has also caused him to reminisce about he previous defeat at the hands of Steele, knowing full-well that those who have eaten Devil fruits had a greater advantage in battle than ordinary beings without extraordinary powers. When he was talking to Zatania earlier, he learned from her that the Sand-Sand Fruit is a Logia-Type Devil Fruit. Any one who eats will be able to generate, manipulate, and transform into sand at will. Knowing what the fruit he was looking for was has increased his excitement further.

The two hungry beast quickly charged towards Malik, ready to slash into his flesh with their claws. He readied himself for what maneuver they were trying to pull. With the level of hunger, it appeared to him that they were now working together. When the creatures were close enough, the tiger on the teenage boy's right slashed at him with it's left claw. Malik was able to successfully able to dodge to his right. He quickly clenched his right hand into a fist. Then, he made a strong thrust towards the beast. The punch was able to hit the animal in it's left jaw, knocking it towards the ground. The tiger landed with a audible thud before sliding to a stop up to three inches. Quickly turning his attention towards the other tiger, he was too late to dodge the most of the attack the beast hat initiated against him. The animal performed a slashing motion with it's left claw as well. it was able to slash at the shirt on Malik back, leaving three cuts on in it as well as the same shaped marking in his skin, similar to when he was damaged earlier. Like the previous attack, he felt it's sting, but was able to bear with it.

The tiger ended up landed a good distance away from the young warrior before immediately turned and launched another strike with it's right claw. Malik was able to anticipate this move the beast made and was successfully able to dodge to his right. It was his turn to retaliate with a counterattack. However, he must remember to hold back on his strength. Despite the damage these animals were putting on him, he could injure them back. This would result into an all-out conflict, which would end in much blood and pain. All this tigers were desiring is food to stay alive. He could put them down for that. As dangerous as these majestic creatures can be, Malik will show mercy as he realizes the reasons behind their acts, despite being guided solely by instinct. It was decided that adolescent fighter used ordinary physical attacks instead of techniques as they pose a possible chance of leaving major injury. He perform a powerful kick using his right leg as a way for him to counterattack the beast prowling him. The blow managed to connect with the tiger's left jaw, knocking him to the ground as he did with the other feline. The creature landed with a thud with no signs of return to it's feet. The other animal he had knocked into the dirt was also remaining immobile.

Since they were showing no signs of returning for battle, Malik quickly made his way towards the branch his hoodie and backpack had landed on, ignoring the stings of pain flowing into him from the wounds on his back and chest. He made a mental note on how sharp tiger claws can be. When he was able to close the distance between himself and his belongings, he looked up. Te branch that they hung from was very close to the adolescent fighter. It's level of height made it quite easy to require his items. He reached up with his right arm and pulled off both his cyan hoodie and backpack from the extension of wood on the tree. He quickly took his pack in his left hand and swung his makeshift coat over his left shoulder. He then, unzipped his backpack and searched it it with his right hand. He was able to pull out a large chunk of freshly cooked meat. he soon turned on his feet and started to walk over to the tiger down on the ground. When he was close enough to one of them he crouched  down and extended the meat in his right hand towards the mouth, but also far enough to avoid further injury. The animal sniffed the food first to examine the substance. It then, reached out with it's fangs and grabbed it with it's mouth, immediately beginning to eat. Malik smiled, knowing he was right when he thought these animals were starving.

Hmhm, I knew you guys had to be hungry. Good I came along when I did. That large piece should be sufficient for you until you find more to eat on your own." The young warrior thought happily, glad that he was quelling the beasts' hunger. He then, stood up and began searching for another chunk of meat in his pack with his right hand. He pulled it out and started to walk over to the other tiger. When he was close enough, he crouched down and extended his hand-full of meat. The animal did the same thing and opened it's mouth and grabbed the food with it's fangs, quickly starting to eat.

Seeing that they are taking their time enjoying their food, the young fighter of a adolescent boy took the time needed for him to heal himself as well as get some rest. He began to search through his blue backpack with his right hand, looking for whatever might replace his currently damaged shirt until it was repaired. Thankfully, Zatania had a tailor in the family inn. His skills at creating and fixing clothes were truly exceptionally incredible. He was also searching for bandages for his minor wounds. Speaking of such, now that he looks at them, they don't look all too serious. They needed medical attention yes, but not anything too major. He was thankful for that. Unfortunately, he may suffer more severe injuries as he goes deeper into the forests of the island. He may really end up meeting a tiger that wasn't hungry and really was trying to kill him. The Banawani were far more ferocious. They were even dangerous enough that they prey on Sea Kings. Such reptiles were truly beastly and aggressive. While he thought about what dangers that he might probably come his way, he was able to successfully find the bandages in his favorite pack.

"Aha, there they are, now just have to get these around both my chest and back, so I can find relieve in relaxing myself. Hopefully, these tigers won't come after me when they finish their meal. That seems highly unlikely, though. The reason they were so aggressive was due to hunger. Unfortunately, that will not be the same case with the other wildlife inhabiting this forest here. I may have been one of the fortunate ones in this place. If I am as such, I really need to exert my prowess in close-combat, if I am to survive. Now to clean these wounds of my and wrap them in this gauze." The young pirate thought, wondering about how difficult his quest for the Devil fruit he desires will be as this was only the beginning of his current journey. It would be much easier, if he had a team with him. It would seem he wasn't going to fins a crew here any time soon. The only person who seemed to be a likely candidate was Zatania. Still, he cannot say which role in the crew she would be able to hold. He, base on his skill in certain areas was qualified to be a scientist. He knew much about the scientific field and understands how the natural laws work in the world. He also happen to make a great novice mechanic.

Before getting to heal himself, Malik sat down and place all the items he had on the ground. He had decided to keep hold of the gauze in his right hand as to keep any germs from the earth from reaching the wrappings that will soon be applied to his injuries. He then, took off his tattered shirt. He laid it over his favorite cyan hoodie and undid a good portion of the gauze. He quickly, but precisely started to wrap it around both his chest and back. Having much knowledge about science, Malik know a good amount of the medical field, but not enough to be a doctor, which hold no interest for him. He admits that saving lives based on what you know about medicine and diseases was a difficult, but rewarding job. Not for oneself, but for the people you save. It goes to show you, you do not need powers to be a hero, but they certainly make being one much more fun and exciting. When he was finishing applying the gauze to his body, he ripped apart the line connecting the source and wrappings on his body. Afterwards, he he neatly patted down the gauze on his chest with his left hand and got it to stick. While he was healing himself, he noticed something rather funny happening. The tigers he was fighting earlier were rubbing their faces against him in a similar fashion to what a cat does to show affection.

"Aw, after I gave them food they really I am on their side and actually like me. That's very fortunate, it must be their of apologizing. If that is the case, I accept this way of apology." The adolescent boy thought, knowing that the animals he was fighting were truly sorry for what they have did to his chest and back he was previously applying first-aid to. He first put away the gauze he was holding with his right hand in his blue backpack and immediately started looking through it again for another certain item using both of his hands. He was able to pull out a clean white T-shirt. He started to neatly put it on himself. When he was finished, he reached over with his left hand and grabbed his tattered black shirt with the lightning bolt design. He grabbed it, picking it up from the ground, and put it inside his pack. He then, closed it and used his hand to reach over to grip his hoodie. He picked it up and dusted off the dirt that it may have picked up with his right palm. He then, put it on and zipped it up. Finally, he extended his right hand and grabbed the left strap of his backpack and swung it over his shoulder. Afterwards, he gently rubbed both the heads of the tigers rubbing up against them, letting them know he is very sorry.

With his injuries seal up tight and a new clean shirt replacing his ruined one, Malik decided to stand up from where he previously sat while petting his new animalistic friends. He made up his mind to travel further into the forest and fair against whatever dangers that might be presented against him. He was most certain that he can brave whatever this region of the island might throw at him. He turned on his feet and headed in the opposite direction to go deeper into the woods with a landscape decorated by tree that can easily obscure one vision of the true beauty of life in this area. The two tigers simply saw him off. As they were animals, they had little knowledge on what to do when saying goodbye to a human being. Deciding to say his farewells for them, he turned the angle of his gaze back to the two now-friendly beasts and gave a gentle wave with his right hand. The creature let out a roar not unlike the furious ones he has heard earlier while in battle. These bellowing sounds were more friendly as if, they were trying to speaking to him. In Malik's own opinion, it would seem that the tiger's were say goodbye to the teenage boy. This was rather sweet of both animals to do such a deed for a human being. This was probably part of them thanking the teenage boy the food they had given them, in spite of the injuries they have inflicted upon him.

"See you two later, I hope we will meet again when I am finished with this current journey that I am on. Good luck to you both." The young fighter said to the animals, hoping that they will understand him, since he has since obvious signs that they may possibly be able to communicate with humans, which was noting to be an interesting trait among the animal kingdom. He returned his sight to the front of himself as he continued to traverse through the deceptively dangerous terrain within the forest, being careful not to stumble upon any more dangers. With his minor injuries treated, Malik does not have to think much about the condition his body is in at the moment as these wounds will heal quickly, leave almost no trace behind. He was thankful that the tiger's had nearly missed their marks. Admittedly, he would be in trouble had he took direct hits from those formidable creatures. He certainly does praise various types of animals for their unique physical abilities, including those he was fighting earlier. Tigers definitely knew how to injure someone, whether they feel like it or not. They were just one of the most dangerous animals in the world.

"They seems like nice creatures, when they are not trying to tear into your flesh, of course. Still, they were very friendly and sorry for what they have done and I can accept that. After all, the damage they have done was not that impacting, unlike the broken legs I had sustained from Steele." The adolescent martial artist thought, thinking how kind the tigers seem now that he has become good friends with them. He was willing to forgive them for the minor injuries they had inflicted upon his chest and back. Besides, they did not hurt that much when he was wounded by the two creatures earlier in battle when they managed to damaged him, but only so little. He had to say that was very fortunate of them combined with the sharpness of their claws. In the moment of thinking about the the minor severity of his wounds that he previously sustained, his thoughts had also wonder off to the man who had defeated him when he was fighting against the marines. He admitted that Steele was indeed a powerful warrior and earned his victory over the teenage boy. Still, the next time they both should happen to meet in combat, he would like to be the victor in the future moment.

While progressing through the thick woods of the island's forest he was wandering through, he kept a close look on his surroundings, making sure he didn't accidentally found himself in anymore trouble. Even if, he should find himself in another difficult situation, he would brave it just as he had braved his confrontation with the two hungry tigers he stumbled upon earlier. He did wonder, if that is what beast such as the one's he meet before were capable of when desire food to quell their hunger, he actually anticipates the thought of an angry tiger wanting to deliberately harm the teenage child. If such an even occurs, Malik was ready. As he continued to walk further, he narrowed gaze caught something in his sights. Two figure, seemingly moving around with no particular goal in mind. Growing closer, he could now make out what the two mass of shadow where as color could now be seen on them. The young martial artist stopped where he was, decided to keep his distance for now at realizing that he was staring at another tiger, which was healthy and well-fed, and a full-grown rhinoceros. The adolescent warrior stood where he was and began to formulate a solution on how to deal with a duo of creatures such as these.

The young adolescent fighter stood where he was, observing the two creatures from an unnoticeable distance. He decided to hide from these beasts' sight as to not start an unexpected confrontation. He turned his gaze and spot a thick tree that could shield his figure from the eyes of the tiger and rhinoceros. He turned on his feet and quickly walked towards the large object bound to the earth by it's very roots. When he was close enough, he hid his presence from the two beasts that do not look hungry in no way he could seem to find. They also seemed to be wearing dangerously wrathful expression on their visages. It was quite obvious they are not to be messed with in a foolish manner. Unless one has a great amount of bravery, then getting through these animals would prove a most dangerous challenge. He looked from behind the large mass of wood and leaves from where he stood, trying to analyze the strengths and weaknesses that they creatures may possibly have. From how their bodies were built, he he was certain he could find something about this animals. He closes both of his eyes, trying to remember the knowledge he has gathered on the numerous types of animals throughout his years of training on Karate Island with his mother. He thought about the various books he has read, experiments he had done, and the numerous hypotheses he had written down to state his discoveries.

"Let me see here, tigers are generally solitary, so it is rare to see the two I was fighting being friendly with one another. It is probably temporary as they may be tolerating each other's presence until one decides to leave somewhere else. This tiger I am staring at seems to be angry due to the rhinoceros violating it's space. I can understand needing are to breath, but what is this other animal's story? Why was he here to begin with? Hardly matters in a situation such as this. What I do know is that rhinos have poor eyesight and that I can use that to an advantage. All this vegetation and plant life should make a perfect cover for me, but still, I prefer to fight out in the open and not hide, like a coward. Besides Zatania would very much lecture on such manners, if I were to go through with something so shameful that is just not me. I would much rather suffer a pain at the hands of this vicious creature that to dishonor myself as a warrior as well as my family and friends. The young teenage fighter thought, thinking over on what to do depending on both the strengths and weaknesses of theses animals. He was also considering how he does, not wanting to bring shame on those he cares for as well as himself as a martial artist.

Deciding to take to this fight out in a large spacious area around the animals, Malik took off his backpack and hung it over an easily reachable branch over his head. He unzipped his hoodie and took it off, putting it on this same wooden extension as well. He then, stepped out in the open, being a noticeable distance from himself and the two beast before him. Both the tiger and the rhino looked at him with, their expressions obviously showing rage in their pupils. The feline's were more slitted in anger while the rhinos remain unchanged, though it's body language has noticeably changed to a more aggressive stance. It was an alarming sign to Malik that this animal was about to charge and ram it's weight straight into him. The adolescent warrior stood firm and stare the two creatures down, readying himself for what they may through his way. Do to various beasts of the animal kingdom having a common nature, unlike humans, the teenage fighter is able to easily predict the movement of these two opponents before himself.

The bulking rhinoceros begin digging into the ground with it's right leg, preparing to charge straight towards the adolescent pirate. The teenage child positioned himself to be prepared to move out of the way of the animal that is set to rampage however it pleases. The teenage boy prepared himself for what was about to come. The rhino then, began stride in a straight direction, picking up speed. Malik could easily get out of this animal's way. The real problem is the other creature, who possessed better eyesight and speed. The said animal began dashing behind the rhinoceros, teeth beared and claws extended. When the two-horned beast was closed enough, the adolescent warrior was able to dodge the ramming body of the beast by jumping to his left. Seeing, the tiger quickly coming at him while following close behind the creature he evaded earlier, he positioned his right leg for an attack. When the feline was close enough and appeared to be ready to execute a maneuver of it's own, he performed a powerful kick with his said limb. This caught the animal off-guard and was unable to react. The blow managed to hit the tiger in it's left jaw.
