Chapter I: Return to Castle White

Task 1:

As the snow haired commodore awoke and rose from the depths of the ship the gentle touch from snow flakes graced his skin. He looked to the skies as he began to think of the last time he was here. "I wonder" thought Asher as he began to wonder what came of the woman he loved. Ty'Leanna was the woman of Asher's dreams and they had a brief romance during his youth. She was the only person who could unite Asher with his sister in a peaceful setting, the influence she had over Asher was undeniably great.

"What am I going there for father?" Asher's voice as cold as ever at this moment as he spoke to a larger man standing roughly 8 feet tall whom also had white hair. "It's for someone who you care for" said the older man who sat across from Asher in a very cultured and classic reading room. Around the walls hung swords and pictures of a young Asher and Kash along with their father and mother. The elder Kringle drank what looked like bourbon from a glass as he engaged his son. "With all do respect father, I don't think I should go there." said Asher who began to look quite sad, his face down and he fought back tears every type he spoke. "Why is that son?" said the elder "YOU KNOW WHY" he screamed out as he began to grow over emotional to the point you could hear the pitch in his voice. "Ty'leanna wouldn't have reached out to me if it wasn't urgent son. Her people have been experiencing some tough times. Even though she told me not to tell you I still think you should handle this yourself. Consider this a gift from the marines of old"

"I just don't want to get hurt again" said Asher as his flashback ended and he saw himself near the shore of Minion Island. At the docks Asher could see what appeared to be Ty'Leanna who looked shocked to see Asher on the boat. As the boat docked Asher would sigh as he prepared to step off.

"No" said Ty'Leanna as she calmly walked towards the house with Asher besides her.

"I said the same thing" his tone was harsh but hurt. You could tell he wasn't open to this situation but with each step in the snow he looked at her hair and smile.

"Why didn't your father come? Why did he send you" the tone of Ty'Leanna began to match that of Asher's with his brash voice.

a sigh from Asher as he looked at Ty'Leanna "I ask myself the same thing"

A few moments later Asher and the duo of Ty'Leanna and the child she was with made it near Castle White which means all of their residents where bound to be around. The memories Asher had of doing chores and helping people out stuck with him and even made him smile a bit. As he began to smile Ty'Leanna saw him and began to smile herself.

"Thinking about the fun you had here?" she would say as she gripped the hand of the child she was with.

"Something like that" Asher would say trying to resist the urge of getting trapped within her trap.

Continuing their walk to Castle White Asher began to see the people that lived here "Oh my, Is that Asher Kringle? I haven't seen you since you were merely a boy! Your father tells me you've joined the marines now." said one of the town locals who went by Mrs.Yuan. She was someone who looked out for Asher and Kash when they were younger and made some of the best cotton candy around the North Blue. Asher genuinely surprised to see her hugged her and smiled "That is true, Mrs.Yaun. I've decided I could do some good as a marine and serve my own brand of justice" He hadn't felt this happy in years. He began to think about everything he could have done if he stayed.

"Are you here about the problem?" A nod from Asher confirmed what Mrs.Yaun suspected. "I'll come see you before I leave Mrs.Yaun" a wave goodbye from the Kringle as he began to walk further towards Castle White "Okay, tell your sister to come visit sometime" said Mrs.Yaun while Asher walked away.

A giggle from Ty'Leanna caused Asher to look at her "Don't" he said in a serious tone

"I wasn't going to" said Ty'Leanna

"She's fine. I saw her somewhere in Illusia, she got stronger too" joked Asher who had actually seen Kash. Sure it was in a combat setting when he attacked her but he did see her.

"Your father should have sent her"

Now the duo made their way into Castle White where Asher heard the voice of the trusted staff of Ty'Leanna and the one that stuck out most was that of Leonard whom served as the Castle Guard who protected the confines of the Castle. "Who goes there" he would say which was followed a smirk from Asher "The punk that hid within the walls for hours before you gave up on looking for me" this caused the guard to come running out the room he was in into the hallway "My lord, sir Asher! How you have grown. I saw what you did against the fish creatures. I'm impressed" this caused a smile from Asher as the two shook hands "Indeed. Good to see you too, old friend."

It was at this point Asher could hear a scream "Mommy, mommy are you home?" the voice would say as Asher saw a little girl who was almost a splitting image of Ty'Leanna besides her eyes which were ice blue. Asher would look at the little girl before looking at Ty'Leanna. "Hello, my sweet child" Ty'Leanna would say as she would kneel down to embrace her daughter.

"Katalya, this is Asher Kringle. A friend of mommy. Be nice to him while he is here" said Ty'Leanna to Katalya who would then look at Asher "Nice to meet you Mr.Kringle, Mommy talks about you alllllllllllll the time" said Katalya which caused Asher to chuckle and make Ty'Leanna blush. "It is an honor to meet you Lady Katalya" said Asher as he would also kneel to greet the child.

"Shes five" said Ty'Leanna as her and Asher talked in the privacy of her room.

"When did you plan on telling me?" asked Asher who was more upset than anything else right now.
"Eventually" in a low tone of voice from Ty'Leanna

"Is this why you pushed me away? When I wanted to stay" said Asher as he took a sip from his glass of dark liquor.

"I knew it would have ruined your life. You were a man of ambition and darkness. A child would have made you see the light, or draw you closer to the darkness. I didn't want to be responsible for taking you there" tears began to drip from the face of Ty'Leanna as she spoke in reference to their child.

"Katalya Hearst? Hmm..." said Asher as he took another sip.

"It's Kringle... her last name is Kringle" the whimpering began and she couldn't contain her emotions anymore.

Placing his glass on the table Asher would walk towards Ty'Leanna and wipe the tears from her face. "Who knew"

"Your father, Leonard, and myself. We almost told Kash but I don't think that would have went so well"

A chuckle from Asher "I'm happy to have a daughter. I wish I was told earlier. I know as a human being I've done some vile unspeakable things, but when it comes to Katalya... I wouldn't let any of that affect how she is raised."

Those words escaped Asher's mouth as he rapped his arms around Ty'Leanna and hugged her tight. He could smell the lavender scent she always wore when they were younger. It took him back to the days he was younger and couldn't stand when his father made him train instead of being around the warmth of Ty'Leanna and her people. They always made Asher feel so human. They ignored this soldier he was raised to be and accepted him as a man and a human.

"It's the Emerald Army. They came here around the time your family left. They slowly gained influence over the island and now tax the people of Minion Island. They live in the Castle of Emerald and only come down to collect their taxes and to harm those that go against their mining and don't respect their taxes. They kill everyone with their two generals who answer to their leader Agent 3."

Listening to Ty'Leanna Asher whispered in her ear "I'll stop them" he believed he could actually take them out if the need arises but knowing Asher he could just "talk" to them.

"Mr.Kringle! come play with me! come see my room." Asher began to pull from Ty'Leanna as he back tracked out the room to play with Katalya "My daughter wants to play" said a smiling Asher.

Task 2:

The little girl known as Katalya playing with her dolls lit Asher's eyes up like no other. He thought about the pictures of him and Kash with they were younger and Katalya could have passed for a splitting image of his sister. Her smile reminded him of her mother Ty'Leanna and her laughter reminded him of Kash. A tear hit the ground coming down from his left eye as he actually began to process having a daughter.

"Hey Mr.Kringle" said Katalya as she walked over to the gawking Asher "Hmm?" would say Asher as he would kneel down to see his daughter at eye level "How come we have the same last name?" this caused Asher's eyes to open widely as he didn't know how to answer yet. Ty'Leanna didn't want Katalya to know of her lineage yet and Asher wasn't going to betray her trust and explain to the girl who he was to her.

"Well Katalya it's bec-" Asher was cut off by a bust through the door, it was Leonard and he looked worried "Sir Asher, they're here" this caused for Asher to smile as he would stand up and look at his daughter Katalya. He'd poke her on the forehead before tapping the hilts of his blade. "Grab Ty'Leanna and take Katalya. I'll go deal with them" said Asher as he removed his trench coat revealing a black button down shirt along with his usal white gloves.

"Please leave, we don't have your money yet" said Mrs.Yaun as she stood in front of her nearly destroyed shop. "Does it look like I care lady? I came for a the money. Pay up or die" said the fool before Mrs.Yaun put her hands in front of her face and began to pray. As the sword of the soldier rose he swung it downwards vertically to slice the elderly woman and it was then a slicing sound was heard. You heard it in the air and everyone thought Mrs.Yaun had been hit but in reality it was Asher.

He had sliced the hand of the fool off. "Go indoors everyone, I'll handle this" said As as the bloody Mrs.Yaun looked at him as she ran to her home "I'm glad you've returned Ashy! Your father would be proud" A smirk on the face of Asher as he planned on chopping them all down. "Who dies next?" said Asher as he twirled his suit and walked through the men as they moved out his way.

Asher wasn't the sweetest of men on the battlefield. Sure if you were worth his time he would feel you out and see if he could have a story with you instead of a battle. These fools were nothing more than a battle, something to dispose of quickly and effectively. With each clash the steel blade made with the air the struggle of supremacy between Asher and nature proved all to real.

He slashed down each man as if they harmed him personally. He wasn't here because he was a marine, he was here because he was in love with Ty'Leanna. His katana in his right hand and his short blade in his left Asher took his stance and awaited for more to attack. He had killed few already but these men weren't cowards which is why Asher had to kill them. He respected their heart but he knew all to well that this very heart would be the death of them.

One man from Asher's left, three inches over his shoulder ran up attempting to attack Asher. Switcly the marine turned stabbing with his left slicing across the right rib cage before tripping the bastard who attacked him. This caused for another to run up before Asher could finish him off. A kick to his mid-section pushed him back before Asher used his right sword to simply stab him through the heart before pulling the blade out causing a burst of blood to fill the snow laced ground.

As the one on the ground tried to recover Asher knew how it was going to end for him already, a lift of his right boot to the head of the downed soldier lead to a curb stomp. "Who is next' joked Asher before he went on the offensive. He threw his short blade with his left through one of the soldiers heads whom was directly in front of him before charging in that direction doing a twirl before he came down on a kneel slicing through another's chest with his long blade in his right. Blood stained his hair as he smiled at the carnage he created.

An elbow would hit one of the soldiers in their face before Asher spun jabbing his arm forward impaling the bastard through the neck. He began to take this attack personal but he had to admire the fact this would be their last attack if they were smart. The blood stained Asher refrained from smiling right now. There was nothing fun about his battle right now and he wanted these men to know that.

"Run up, get cut down" said Asher as she walked over to his blade which he threw through the head of the soldier earlier and pulled it out as the soldiers watched him. They all looked terrified at this mans skill and lack of emotion. Whipping his blades the blood from his slayed enemies went splat in the snow before Asher launched himself in the sky coming down with a twirl to his strikes. It was as if he was an eclipse the way his body controlled the sky through motion.

Dashing forward after slicing down another Asher was on a tear. He would slash directly across someone on his left with his right blade exposing their major organs causing them to fall out. As for his right he used his left blade to jab someone through the third anf fourth rib before pulling his blade out causing for a pool of blood to leak. Asher hasn't been this violent in years.

Meanwhile in Castle White soldiers had sneaked in. There was about five of them and these happened to be the potent warriors of their group. They had an agenda, send a message to the people who live here and that meant harming their leader, Ty'Leanna. They were smart and didn't rush the castle, they moved slow trying not to make a sound.. That was until Leonard walked by doing a check to make sure the castle was clear. "Hmm" he said as he pulled out his rapier preparing to engage these young fools.

The blood lust displayed by Asher was at an all time high. He hadn't cut loose since he joined the World Governments Cipher Pol agency, well excluding that one time with the fishmen. Asher enjoyed chopping these men down but he wondered how many this general would send before he got the message that Asher wasn't to be toyed with. He continued to slice down each and every one of these men as if it were a meal for him to feast on.

But in reality it was, this is what Asher lived for. Killing people with no consequence. He relished off the blood of others. He couldn't help it, he wasn't raised with this bloodlust he slowly developed it and it consumed him for years to come. Asher was slowly running out of people to chop down. He noticed the pack of men slowly dwindled in numbers and he figured something was wrong.

This caused Asher to make his way back to Castle White, the snow white assassin ran with blade in hand as the men outside stood down not wanting anymore deaths on their end. As Asher made it to the castle he noticed the front entrance had been bombarded by a strong force. "Shit" he uttered as he ran into the castle and made it to the second story where he saw a downed soldier bleeding out, this caused Asher to take his stance and point his blade forward.

That was until he noticed Leonard adjacent from the soldier against the wall with a blade through his shoulder. "Sir Asher, I tried my hardest to protect them, they're upstairs" Asher gripped the right hand of his friend as he nodded his head "You've done enough old friend, now you rest" said Asher as he stood and proceeded upstairs where he heard the crying of his daughter Katalya. This wasn't the time for Asher to be calm and poise with his movements. Swiftly he would throw his short blade through the back of the head of the soldier roughly 9 meters in front of him. After that Asher would see another who decided best to make way towards Asher which ended with Ashers katana going right through his heart.
As Asher made it towards his restrained ex-girlfriend Ty'Leanna and his daughter Katalya he noticed their faces weren't that of people happy to see him. It was as if they were signalling for him to do something "Mr.Kringle there's a scary man behind you" said Katalya but by then it was too late. A sword through the left side of Ashers chest send him down to a knee.

The Blade laced through the skin and caused Asher to cough up blood as he looked Katalya and Ty"leanna in the face. The thoughts of Asher's life began to flash by, even when he first met Ty'Leanna and they duo fell in love. It was in this town here that Asher had spent most of his youth training with his father. He didn't want to die here, not in front of his daughter nor the woman he loved. He began to shed a few tears from his right eye as he smiled.

Asher had gripped his blade and drove it backwards impaling the man that impaled him. He would grab his the blade stuck inside of him and pull it out. The white gloves he wore now stained with his own blood as he shredded through his hands. Asher was thinking of how little he got to see his daughter if this was the place he died. Something about this wasn't as special as he wanted it to be.

Convincing himself he was going to die would be too easy. The tears stopped and Asher stood as he made it across the room to the other side of the hall where he wanted to be alone. The lasting sight of him dying wasn't what he wanted for his daughters final moments with him. "Never in the light did the darkness shine, but through the light... maybe darkness can be broken" said Asher as his eyes closed. His time had come, for the last minutes of his life he heard nothing, no sound everything was dead for him.
