This was the thought running through Derous' mind and he continued to sink into the abyss. Though something would begin to reach out, but Derous would close his eyes before it touched him. And once contact was made he would open his eyes, and he no longer would be drowning. He would actually he within the First mate's cabin of the ship, laying on his bed. A few areas of his body were bandaged up from his wounds he received a few weeks ago, during the mission he lost Steele and the others. He had been released from the Hospital and was allowed to sail, but was told he still needed a bit more rest. The person beside him was the Captain of this ship, Zed, who held the highest rank currently. As Derous' submission for a higher rank wouldn't be told to him till he reached near the Grand line. But that was fine, he didn't care for a rank right now. 

"How long do we have till we reach that place?" Derous would ask Zed. Getting up from his bed. Derous had only shorts on so he wanted to get dressed. Yea, he hated certain types of women, but he didn't swing the other way. 

"A few days, at our current pace. But, you should rest Derous." 

"No, I don't want to stay in this disgusting place any longer." Derous would say as he would begin to head out of the room, Zed following him. They would make it outside and Derous would go front of the ship, and gaze outward at the sea. He had buried Steele a week ago, after they had reached the Briss Kingdom. It seemed Steele also was a noble, so that funeral had the whole kingdom pay respect to him. Also, he had to write letters tot he families of those that had passed away. All boring and time consuming tasks, but he did it. He had to keep up his shitty image. The Pirates, Koko and E.Y, were turned in also for a nice reward. Though, new of E.Y escaping did reach Derous' ears. He did though was already leaving that Kingdom, so he didn't care. It would be fun to see her again, as it would be different. He would crush that women instead of playing around with her. 

"I don't think you should be out here, Derous." Zed would tell him. Obviously, from his voice, he was concerned. 

"I'm fine. I'm healing just fine, and just standing here isn't doing anything to me." Derous would retort as he just gazed out. Their destination within his sights. The large mountain that had a waterfall that went upwards. Truly a magnificent site, a wonder of this world if you asked Derous. 

"That isn't what I mean. Remember. That pirate you captured escaped before we had left Briss Kingdom. There isn't telling where she could be right now. Maybe she is on this ship as we speak." Zed would tell Derous. He didn't want to see his ally to fall to someone's revenge. As Zed wasn't the best of fighter, and wouldn't be much help. But that didn't mean he wouldn't put his life on the line for his comrade, as that wasn't the case at all. Everyone on this ship was his comrade and he would protect them with his life. 

"Relax. She isn't strong enough to challenge me, not yet. Even with my wounds she couldn't match me. Besides, she is licking her wounds at this moment, I think. As I did blind her." Derous didn't need to be told this, as he knew he was hunted. But he didn't care, he was ready for anything at this moment. Though, he had his eyes set forward he kept his ears open. As the grunts weren't doing anything but taking a break, not at all near Derous. And Zed was behind Derous. So, if there were any extra footsteps or slip ups he wouldn't be that caught off guard. Besides. Even though he was still recovering a bit form his wounds Derous wasn't at all vulnerable, quite the opposite. Being wounded makes him just a bit more ready to take someone out, as they would attack to exploit his predicament. Something Derous does a lot to others, so he knew he could also be targeted for this.

It was time and Zed would leave from being behind Derous, and head to man the ship. He told the other crew to also get ready as it was time to transverse this mountain. I'm going to skip this part as no one cares. 

Finally the group had descend the mountain after going up it, and now where within the Grand line. But now it was time to see where they would go, as traveling this ocean would be different from the blues. "Take a break for a few hours. Then we will resume our travel." Derous would once as he would continue to stare out forward, Beki now by his side. The Creature was in the hull while they went up Reverse Mountain. 

Well, if nothing happens to stop them from heading up the mountain. 

Derous had ignored Asher, yea he ignored him. But, Zed didn't and would stop the ship. The reason for this was an idea jump into the head of the current Captain of this ship. Derous wouldn't notice this as he sleep. As this was taking place when he wasn't up on deck but in the quarters. The dialogue between Asher and Zed wouldn't only be know between them. As Zed would tell them man to hurry on board and take the place of one of the Ensigns. As one of them didn't want to go on this journey. He didn't want to leave his family, not after what happened to the others not that long ago. He didn't want to die. And he confided this to Zed, and Zed felt sorry for him. But didn't know how he would get the guy off of the ship. As Derous wanted this nine, him included, to face this journey. And with Asher they still would have that nine. \
