Chapter IV: The End of Story One

Spoiler:

He was bloodied, he was battered and he was emotionally destroyed. There weren't many moments where you could see Asher and actually call him vulnerable but this was one of those rare moments. He walked up the stairs and the fire that burned behind him was loud and gorgeous. Asher didn't get himself into situations like this often but when he does, he surely shined. As he turned the corner of the spiraled staircase Asher noticed a man kneeling down praying. He was in a full samurai's attire and it was all black. Smoke emitted from his face area and his swords laid directly in front of him. "I'm happy you arrived"

Quickly the bloody Asher lifted the pistol he boosted from the now dead agent and shot it at the samurai three times to which he simply moved to the left dodging them all. The ricochet off the katana's sent one back towards him and Asher would simply move his head out of the way. "I see you want her" said the man still not turning around." Asher would see his daughter in a room adjacent to him and noticed it was blocked by a wall. Asher would ignore the fool in front of him and walk over to the room. His blood stained right hand would go up against the glass and Ty'Leanna would match his hand. She was crying and speaking but through the wall Asher couldn't hear her.

"It's time" said the fool who Asher was going to kill soon. Turning back to him Asher saw him reach for what appeared to be a bear helmet. He would place it over his head stopping the smoke that came from his face. His raspy voice seemed like it was due to an injury. Asher who was down to his pants and shoes watched all of this as the samurai grabbed the two katana and turned around. "I'm Hento, leader of the Emerald Army." a wisp of Asher's blade as he spun it sent a cut to the mask of the samurai "I don't care" dashing towards the samurai Asher was overly emotional and it showed. His face was barely his anymore as most of it was purple and he could barely see from his left eye. A slash with his short blade which was in his right hand was dodged by a step back from the samurai and followed up with a diagonal slash from his katana in his left hand and that was also dodged. A barrage from the samurai was unleashed shortly after that as he went on the offensive. He appeared to slice at Asher roughly 34 times in such a short span that Asher was winded after dodging the attack.

It was clear as day that this guy could definitely fight and to lead an organization he was worthy of such a title. "You're fast" he would say to Asher and still the marine didn't quite care. Still dodging strikes from Hento Asher was trying to figure out a way to make more room for their battle. Meanwhile the fire would rage around them and Asher was concerned about Ty'Leanna. The wood was beginning to give in as the castle was subject to the strong flames. Asher watched the glass near his daughter shatter which was difficult to do as he kept his eyes on Hento at the same time and as he watched the final crack he would shift all his body weight and energy towards her.

He would protect her from the glass that shattered from heat and he would kick through the wall "Ty'Leanna. I need you to do me a favor, jump in the snow for me" she would look down "Uhh, Mr.Kringle that's a big jump. You sure mommy would be okay with this?" Asher had to appreciate this moment as he hadn't heard her voice in so long before he broke from his shock "Yes, she told me it was okay. with that Asher would rub her hat before she jumped into the snow signaling up with a wave and her little hat trying to navigate through the snow into a safe spot. "Are you done?" said Hento as he toyed with his blades.

"Let's dance" said Asher before he would begin to toy with both his blades. Hento watched on as Asher was moving his hands so fast you would think he had six arms. The blades were gorgeous as they all stood behind him before he released what looked like a star. The star would rip through what was left of the building towards Hento aiming to kill him and rip him to shreds. "Six Sword Style: Star of Eve" Hento was engulfed in the light that shined with the strike as both vanished.

Coming out through the rubble Asher wasn't expecting to see much but he saw debris and burning wood. This castle was truly gorgeous such a shame it had to be destroyed in such a manner. As Asher was breathing hard he started to hear some shifting in the wood and wasn't surprised when Hento emerged from it barring nothing but a few scraps and bruises among his body. "I applaud your effort" said Hento towards Asher as the duo stared each other down again.

They would break back into fighting as Asher made the first move leaping coming down with a bevy of strikes aimed towards the head of Hento. Asher was trying to remove that stupid bear helmet from him and to no avail as Hento was swift enough to dodge all of his attacks with a nice web of movements. As Hento went on the offensive he forced Asher to use both his blades as defense and boy was it working. With each strike Asher grew more and more impatient and wary of his opponent. They were equally matched. "I'm going to kill you today" said Asher towards his opponent. "I hope so" said Hento to Asher as they continued their exchanges.

These two men were unwavering in their skills and it clearly showed on the battlefield. Asher hadn't faced such strength in ages. In terms of battle complex and mindset this man Hento was on par with his father. He didn't know how to deal with someone like that. Their battle was growing more intense by the second and it had to end soon. Asher wasn't worried though as he wanted to end this in any way possible. A slick strike caused the helmet of Hento to get cut in half and thats when it became clear. Asher knew this man... It was Ichiro Saito. "Recognize the smile?" said Ichiro as the tubes attached to his face kept him alive. Asher remembered this man because his father once fought him and killed him supposedly.

"Your father wasn't smart. Didn't confirm his kill. Now i'm stuck like this" said Hento as he began to cry. His emotions were bothering him now and that was the key for Asher to win this fight. Swinging recklessly Asher would take advantage as both men were now in the same mental situation. Fighting for the revenge of someone else. With each passing strike and blow each man told a story of their legacies and how they wanted to be defined. Asher was telling the better story as he made the best of the new circumstances slicing away at the mid-section of Hento as his strikes grew sloppy.

Asher almost felt bad for Hento. He wasn't fighting composed anymore as he was exposed under that mask. Asher knew how difficult it could be to fight at your best when under mental duress. Hoping that wouldn't taint his victory Asher would continue with each strike making his opponent weaker and slower before Hento stepped it up a notch. It was clear he knew he was losing and wasn't fond of that idea. "Not again!" yelled Hento who continued to cry. Overshadowing the battle was the noise of his breathing machine that allowed him to function properly if Asher assumed right.

Weaving the strikes dealt to him Asher would side step one of the strikes of Hento and Asher's eyes would light up with an amazing blue hue as his speed picked up like never before. Once side stepped he cut along the rib cage causing a giant gash for his opponent which made him stumble to the side. He didn't even plan on gripping the wound because he was fueled by anger right now. Asher was starting to sympathize with Hento and that wasn't a good thing. To be sure Asher would put him out of his misery the best way he could. Straight and clean. Asher began to charge up his blade. He was going to end this.

"Hento, you were a great opponent. But the time for me to move on from my fathers mistakes starts now, with you" said Asher as his blade still charging stared down Hento "I agree" With that the marine watched Hento extend his arms and drop his blades. Turning his body into a cross. With that Asher fired off his large strike of energy which came from his blade and watched as it pushed Hento back into the burning castle and destroyed what was left of it. Nothing could save Hento from blocking that shot and it was official he was defeated.

Asher would watch on as the rubble caved in and gave fuel to the fire making it grow. Ashes rained from the sky as he walked over to his daughter. Sheathing his blades Asher watched her come from behind a rock as he smiled at her. "Lets go see Mommy" said Asher as the little girl ran up to him and hugged him. She would begin to pull him towards the small town they hailed from in hopes of bringing her family together. Asher could only smile as he achieved his goal. He was going home.
