So, what was seen earlier wasn't just the heat playing with Geryon's mind. Earlier when he had first laid eye upon Bazel he saw the Young Man's leg change from a black tint to it's regular color and now he did it again, but this time on his head to lessen the blow from Naesala. The old and wise Geryon knew what that was. 'Haki.' Geryon was born in the Grandline, and for a large portion of his life was raised on a Island under a great Warrior. Wanting to follow in his footsteps he developed his style of fighting after him, though he never gained one thing and that was Haki. And it wasn't like he tried to learn it on his own, not at all. The Warrior he tried to learn after did even try to beat it into Geryon. Not only the thoughts of trying to learn haki back I the day flooded Geryon's mind but also the good and bad memories he had of Jotunheim. For a brief second Geryon would focus and try to utilize Busoshoku Haki. Though he would need to work on it he would feel his hand hard, but only for a second. Finally he would be able to atleast get it to change after all theses years. 'Maybe if I was this calm back then I could've done this.' was the thought in Geryon's mind.
Geryon had stopped his advancement before delving into his thoughts to truly understand Haki, and right after Naesala took his attack. The barefoot Old man, Geryon, was able to stop without any trouble whatsoever. He was still quite far away from the others, eleven meters away from the Bazel and further from Naesala. If this wasn't just a friendly free for all and Geryon and Naesala were trying to kill Bazel the lad wouldn't be in a ideal position. That wasn't the case and Geryon didn't plan to move from his spot, he needed to rest just a little. He did however let his breath go slowly, but would inhale right after. At this time he would hear Naesala say something to him quite humorous; but Geryon wouldn't chuckle like he wanted to. This is how he regained his energy by taking in large sums of air, strange but he is a strange man.
Doing this didn't mean he was left defenseless. He kept his eyes forward and on those two that would have reason to attack him, Bazel and Naesala. He was a good amount of distance away from them. So, if they came running at him or sent an aerial attack in his direction, even with their superior speed, he would still have a chance to react and he would with tremendous unpredictable force by letting his breath go. But, that was only if they, or just one of them, tried to attack him as he rested.
Resting STA, unless interrupted.
