What a beautiful morning it was in the Twin Capes, the very first island in the Paradise line. It was a place filled with the hopes and dreams of anyone just now making their way into the Grandline. The docks buzzed with activity as pirates, traders, and citizens alike prepared to set sail or unload their wares for the small island and get the day started. It seemed even the pesky Marines were up and about on this day, simply doing their jobs to make sure nothing illegal or foreign was entering the Grandline. After all, one couldn't blame them for wanting to cut down on the illegal activity before it sailed into the heart of the Grandline, tainting it and making the Marines' lives that much more difficult. They were simply keeping the peace, however, as many know it's one thing to keep the peace for humans but when the forces of nature decide to act out, all bets are off.
As the docks of the Twin Capes would soon learn, forces were at work here far more powerful and terrifying than anyone on the island could hope to imagine. The water had been calm all morning, lazy waves rolling in and curling against the rocks. Ships rocked ever so slightly in the breeze but for the most part lulled in the ocean waters surrounding the docks. As the people of Twin Capes went about their business, a great darkness stirred beneath this calm sea. It swam swiftly, deep beneath the surface and well out of sight of anyone on land. This Sea King was smaller than most, clearly a youngling and far more aggressive than its elders. It had only interacted with humans perhaps a handful of times in its short life and as a result was more daring and willing to attack without provocation. As the beast drew closer to the docks, it rose through the water, piercing the surface like a rocket. Water cascaded down the beast's scaled body as it let loose a ferocious screech across the island, loud enough to shatter windows and draw the attention of every single soul. It stretched its thick, serpentine body over 1000m out of the water, gazing down upon the people of the docks like ants. The nearest dock was about 100m from the creature as it stayed out in the open ocean. The morning sun, hanging low in the sky, was blotted out by this creature's presence, throwing the entire port into darkness.
For a moment there was silence as the people of Twin Capes took in exactly what they were seeing. The air was still with fear and uncertainty as even the creature did nothing but stop and look. Then, without warning, off to the creature's right side a large, 500m thick, finned tail rose out of the water and swept towards the docks. It came rushing in at T3 speeds and would reduce the docks and ships in the area to splinters if left unchecked. If left alone the Sea King's tail would swipe the entire length of the port area, crushing everything and everyone in its path. The newcomers to the Grandline were getting in for a cold, dangerous welcome in this new, strange land called Paradise.
OOC: If the creature's tail is coming in on its right and you decide to turn and face it out in the water, that means the tail is coming in from your left. Just something to keep in mind for your post.
