Thanatos
✘
With the Marines out of the way, it was time for Thanatos to track the one responsible for the havoc. He walked forward to exactly where Susanoo previously stood when he summoned the powerful wind. Judging from how the trees fanned out, he easily found the point of origin. "No scent." Thanatos was happy to see his mark wasn't green enough to not have masked his scent. it meant that the hunt wouldn't be too easy, perhaps he wouldn't even get a glimpse of his foe today. The thought got his hopes up for a challenge. Looking around from the point of origin of the attack, he saw grass and a bit of flora slowly rising up from the ground. It had been stepped on and was now bending to its original shape. This let Thanatos know which direction his mark had headed in and without hesitation he took off and used expiring footfalls of Susanoo to tail him.
I Have nine throwing knives left, best to use them sparingly. He had no clue on how his mark fought and even with the trees being laid down how they were, it only gave him a rough idea of what happened. He didn't let his mind wander and paint the scene for he didn't want to already have an idea of what to react to and set himself up for failure when he acted off a false pretense.
Minutes went by and suddenly Thanatos lost his trail on his mark. Not because the footfalls had expired, no Thanatos moved much too fast for that. In fact he was steadily gaining on Susanoo, he could tell because the grass and flowers were showing signs of being closer and closer to the ground as he continued to progress meaning the footsteps were more recent. What threw him off was that suddenly the footfalls diverged in three different directions. One to his left, right, and front. Did he know he was being followed? He stopped in his tracks, dwelling on how to make the right choice. He couldn't help but be slightly tormented at the fact this meant that his mark knew he was being pursued.
