To describe where Susanoo was, how he had got there, and why he was present required one to expand upon the whereabouts of the two big shot pirates who had just landed upon Spider Miles. Susanoo himself had been on the island for some days now. On Flevance he had actually spoken to one of the participants of the skirmish about the events unfolding on this island.
"Certain group a pirates been given that place the old heave hoe, marines have been moving in to apprehend em and offer protection"
Susanoo took interest in this and having taken such an interest in his new lifestyle of hunting, he decided to try out the Bounty Hunter occupation. This wasn't a dream or interest that bloomed just yesterday or the day before, but something that had been on Susanoo's mind since he was on Ilusia in the West Blue. For that reason he was overseeing the events unfolding on Spider Miles, looking to headhunt some Pirates to make some money and for the sake of training. Before we delve much deeper into Susanoo's details we'll talk about others.
For one the main event was displayed out in front of him, albeit at a lower altitude. The furthest person involved directly in this feud was horizontally 68m away, this was the Marine who appeared as a young woman for now. Susanoo could see a few discerning details about her from how far away he was with his level of vision and perception. He could easily make out enough to know she was a woman. He shamelessly snuck a few peaks at her chest though hey weren't really exposed. He could see what tools she had with her, the color of her garbs, etc. Next were the people she seemed to be fighting. They were appropriately spaced out from her, following the details supplied for their persons. What was worth noting was that Susanoo was facing their backs and the younger marine's front. Being such a great distance away Susanoo wasn't a potential victim to the clouds and lightning the younger woman had conjured up, but he did note that she possessed an ability so close to his own.
Is that a Clima-Tact? He thought to himself as he watched feats they accomplished.
It has to be. He was amazed at how much more potent her casting with the weapon was than his own, but he'd let it inspire and not discourage him.
This lightning strike had happened as soon as Susanoo got settled in his spot on the terrace of this three story building. This meant he was currently on a flat elevated surface, but to not draw attention to himself he was laid down flat on his stomach and already had his slingshot in one hand and his pouch of ammunition off his waist beside him. He'd be unnoticeable unless one paid certain attention to the building he was on, but they'd have no reason to with all that was going on unless he made the building a point of interest with his own actions. Being a marksman, elevation meant a vantage point to him, so it was very important to position oneself in the best possible spot before making any moves that involved one in combat. That said, being in a city, obviously there were other buildings around, but Susanoo had picked the best one for a vantage point. It was three stories high, so he'd have the best possible vantage point to oversee what was going on. This placed him 9m above everyone who was on the ground.
To better his observation of the scenario, he keyed in on three of his senses. These would protect him in a way similar to Haki, but not to such an all seeing degree. The three senses he decided to enhance was his eyesight, sense of smell, and hearing. This way he'd be able to obviously see all the more clearer and observe the skirmish better, but all be aware of things he couldn't see. Example being an ambush on his person. He'd be able to smell them or hear them approaching from up to 37.5m away in any direction.
For the interlopers, they didn't have as much organization as they thought they did. One, The Devil, would become perceivable to Susanoo due to his enhanced visual prowess. He arrived in his spot shortly after the lightning bolt was launched, this being when Susanoo got in his spot. The path he made to get there didn't intersect with this man's or his partners at all, so they wouldn't have been aware of his presence, through their natural senses to his knowledge. Susanoo simply spotted him, because the young prodigy's eyes were currently too sharp to not pick up on such a thing. The serpent had previously traversed through the shadows of the town until he was 25m away from one of the combatants in the main event. He would be to her back, so he would be facing the same direction Susanoo was, his own back to the Hunter. He was well within the scope of Susanoo's sensory technique and range of his sharpshooting.
The Devil?! Susanoo couldn't believe his eyes. This guy was infamous and well known in Paradise, what the hell was he doing in the Four Blues? He was recognized because of his trademark horn and well his unique appearance in general. Susanoo was a bit frazzled at first, but he remembered the resolve he forged within himself in Ilusia. He wouldn't be weak and frightened any longer. He'd ave confidence in his abilities. Then above all else, there was the golden rule of being a Hunter that Cid had instilled in him before they parted ways.
"A Hunter must always get their mark"
It was Susanoo's own way of putting himself in a corner, so he could no longer back down, but at that moment he marked The Devil as his prey. It may not be today, but eventually Susanoo would make The Devil meet his demise. He found it quite ironic how it just seemed like this man was crafted to be his archenemy. With Susanoo seeing himself favored by the Gods above and all, it was only right for him to rid the world of such a heinous being.
He'd notch a marble silently in the sling of his weapon, grew some balls, and fired a shot at the most notorious person he had ever seen in the flesh. The shot would sail down from the building he was atop of with no obstructions in its way. The other buildings and miscellaneous objects that were around would be avoided purposely and the only thing in the marble's flight path would be The Devil's cranium. The shot was fired with Susanoo's newest slingshot he picked up in Flevance. A weapon devised for taking down beast with thick hides. While his current mark wasn't necessarily an animal, he potentially could have a thick hide of some potent natural defenses, but the slingshot would take care of that. Taking no chances with even testing the waters, for the most part, Susanoo went balls deep right away and lead with his best shot.
It'd fly at The Devil at Tier 5 Speeds and with him only being a total of 29m away, vertical and horizontal distance being taken into account, he'd have little time to react to the attack on his person. The bit of wind that was in the environment was accounted for and with the sounds of combat going on, thunder rolling, lightning striking, fighting, etc, Susanoo's already silent shot would have some cover, though it wouldn't be needed. Naturally a shot from his slingshot could pierce steel (Tier 3), but with the way he fired the weapon this time, it'd be even more potent(Tier 4). Even titanium would be ran through by this marble, so even The Devil himself could find himself succumbing to death if hit in the head by this bullet.
As for the other one who came with The Devil. He was sloppy with his actions and the way he went about things. For one, Susanoo would have fired his shot at The Devil from his hidden location while or before the man began to inhaled the flames that were only a product of the Sorceress' lightning technique. This meant after the lightning struck, the flame eater would go into action that being the time Susanoo fired his shot at The Devil at Tier 5 Speeds. Not only faster than the Flame King could hope to move, but maybe even faster than he could hope to eat, considering he didn't use any special technique to attempt this feat. With one bolt of fire starting lightning being fired at two individuals who were multiple meters apart, this meant the Flame King had fire to eat at two separate venues. Additionally since he didn't possess any real technique to eat the flames, either he'd mindless be scooping away at fire he couldn't actually eat or he'd have to be in immediate range of the flames caused by the lightning to vacuum them up. He could eat as fast as he wanted, but to inhaled
all the flames as he intended to do, would take time. So much time that he wouldn't make it to Devil before the Child of God's assault potentially did. Furthermore, this meant the Flame King was out and about in the actual battlefield eating the flames and not in some hidden location from a range, because again he didn't possess or utilize a technique that allowed him to consume fire from a distance. How silly was that?
After firing on the Devil, Susanoo's ears would be homed in on his location. This would allow him to know if he killed his prey, injured his prey, or missed and his prey began to move. Additionally, he'd carefully and quietly scoot back from the ledge of the terrace he was on immediately after shooting. This way he wouldn't be able to be seen by The Devil should he survive Susanoo's attack.
- Spoiler:
Got my Gunbai and both my slingshots, but using the Beast Hunter.
Skill Name: Serious Shot No.4
Tier: 3
Type Standard
Range: Range of Weapon
Speed: Speed of Weapon +1
Description: Susanoo fires a marble with a little extra ketchup on it. Instead of being a typical shot, the marble is encased in a shell of wind that is shaped like a round of armor piercing ammunition. Damage dealt is now piercing and damage dealt is increased by a tier. Can be used on up to 3 shots per use.
Skill Name: Diana's Grace
Tier: 3
Type Supplementary
Range: 75m
Speed: N/A
Description: Unaided by any form of Haki, Susanoo can tap into up to three of his senses to heighten their level of performance for a single post. This can allow him to hear better (key in on specific conversations even in loud places). See clearer and discern smaller details, ( spotting people hidden, but not completely out of sight i.e. in trees, shadows, or shrubbery) This includes tracking movements that occur at a Speed 1 Tier higher than his Perception. Taste better (if it's a familiar food he'd be able to notice even the slightest addition of an ingredient like poison). Feel things with more clarity, (discern whether something is hot or cold while still up to 10m away. Can feel people come within 5m of him.) Lastly, smell better, (can track scents he is familiar with or has a sample of. Can also pick up on even the unnatural smells outside of perfumes, musks, and body odors. Things like poisons before he's in actual inhalation range.) Should he be in a secluded area, he could smell someone or something with a scent that doesn't match enter the range of this technique and predict how far away they are. All augmentations span out to 75m in diameter unless stated otherwise. Senses heightened can naturally be exploited akin to a dog's ears being sensitive to loud noises or a strong scent. While the sensation of pain will be heightened, the amount of damage itself remains the same.
Stamina: 160
