It is not everyday that you get to witness half of an island get lit up. Good thing Kolby was no where near such an event. He was doing his daily swimming exercise. He was interrupted though as even as deep as he was under water could hear such an explosion. It sent sound waves rippling through the waters. Kolby quickly swam to the surface and what he was faced with was quite the site. It was mass destruction, the like of which he had never seen with his own eyes before. Seeing as this was an emergency of the highest priority he would swim full speed to the shore. Even if he was still wet, he put on his clothes and ran through the town. Fire was everywhere, spreading like wild fire. He would help civilians whenever he would see them. Whether it was to help someone out of a building or saving them from a collapsing enclosure.

"Christ sake, what in hell happened while I was gone!" Kolby would utter while seeing the death on the streets and the screams in the buildings. He noticed a body posted up against a building. The building wasn't on fire....yet. He would check up on the poor man and would notice that he wasn't moving an inch. Checking his vitals and would get the sad news that this man was deceased. Clutched in his hands was an axe though. Kolby, a user of axes himself took the axe into his hands, and with resolve he would continue to figure out more of the situation. He met up with some Marine companions and was briefed on the situation. Some of them wit years in their eyes. Some of them lost wives and children. Kolby ran off once more to find the culprits  

Soon he would hear gunshots, whether hey were of Marine origin mattered not, what mattered was whether or not they were shooting at the criminals responsible. He would jump to the side of the building and to the next, almost causing the two to collapse. Jumping from building to building the large orange haired man finally found the origin of the gunshots and right as they ceased the fire. Kolby awaited the cloud to dissipate and as soon as he saw someone without Marine uniform walk out from the dust, Kolby quickly jumped down and stepped on their head, slamming it to the ground. Which may or may not have given them a concussion. The other three's silhouettes were seen and with the back of the axe Kolby would swing widely knocking the three back. That probably wasn't enough to put the three of them down but with the man he stepped in his clutches, Kolby would jumped back and would grab cover with the rest of the Marines. He looked at the one that seemed to be in charge at the moment(Freyr) Do you think that was too much? looking at the man who was obviously unconscious.

It seems the actions he took wasn't bad. Actually it seemed the please the female. Who didn't seem to be normal, as no one should still be alive with holes in them like she had. They seemed to fill themselves, and bingo she was back in one piece. When he asked he the question of whether or not his actions was fine, he didn't think she was going to laugh. And as much as she did. It almost made him chuckle himself. But he was surprised when she said that not the stomp to the head was too much, but bringing him back was what was too much. Which confused Kolby until she demonstrated her powers. Which amazed Kolby to the highest degree. "Was you born with those powers?" Kolby asked in awe. He has never seen such a thing like a woman can fix herself with holes in her body.

But the awe didn't stop there, she then proceeded to blow up the cover the pirates were providing for themselves. You could see a sparkle in Kolby's eyes. This woman could probably become an Admiral if she had more tricks up her sleeve. Maybe after this crisis is over she could show him what else she could do. She ended those three in an instant. Kolby hoped that it ended there. But as far as he could see, it didn't seem like they had their captain in custody. Which is bad. As it meant that he was planning something. Whether it was another bombing or something worse.

Kolby looked around to make sure he was in the clear. As nobody around besides Marine forces that were left. He again turned his attention to the female "Do you think that is the last of them? Kolby's english accent in full force now. He stuck the axe in the ground before signing and awaiting the female's answer. Actually he didn't know if she was a marine or not. She didn't have that look to her. But even if she wasn't Kolby would thank her for the help.

This woman just doesn't stop to amaze Kolby. She seemed to emit this black powder, it smelled like gun powered. Which would explain the reason she was able to blow up those pirates like she did before. Kolby got up and watched as the woman demonstrated even more abilities in her arsenal. She controlled the powder effortlessly. This just added on to her coolness. But her being in the Marines was confirmed by the reaction the other Marines gave her. She must be formidable if they were that frightened. This just meant that Kolby had to be careful when he was speaking to her. He doesn't want to be blown up like those criminals. But getting a better look at her now, she definitely doesn't look like the generic Marine. Well looking at Kolby neither does he. His height does get him unwanted attention sometimes.

Soon there was a pile of pirate bodies. And the female was sitting on them. Ordering people around. Well from the looks of it. Most of them seemed to be recruits. New guys if you will. Some would pass by Kolby and would stare at him. He would give them a gentle smile and they would be on their way. But with a little jump in their step. Which was good, they needed men who felt a little better. Kolby would turn and look around to survey that the powder was returning to the woman, soon it would disappear into her jacket. Kolby would take one more look at the woman and would notice that she had a wound on her head. Which seemed to drip blood.

He would rip a piece from his shirt. He usually never wore those jackets other ensigns would wear. They would get in the way, yeah they looked nice, but that wouldn't matter if you were dead. He would walk over to the female and would still almost be as tall as her while she was on the pile. Kolby was truly a giant in a human's body. He tends to get compliments like "I wish I was your height" or "I bet you don't have a lot of problems beings as tall are you are" But everyone, despite their standing has problems, big or small. Lifting the ripped piece of cloth he would say "I guess you can take a punch, cant you?"  

Did she just say bomb? This woman just getting more and more mysterious, Kolby just assumed she got into a brawl with one of the pirates, or maybe even multiple of them. He would have never suspected it was from being blown up. Mind you, she is still in one piece. But from what Kolby saw before, it isn't that surprising. But the woman said she wasn't born with her powers. Which was odd, (Kolby doesn't know about devil fruits yet) he would of just assumed it was a family thing. But it doesn't matter. But when he was told that there was still some pirates around he grabbed his axe and put it over his shoulder. From the look in her eyes she didn't trust him, which was a given. Kolby didn't look like the general Maine. But he would introduce himself. "The name is Kolby Briggs, rank of Ensign. Nice to meet and be of service....Ms.....????" Kolby would pause to await her answer.

Yeah, and I know I don't look like a Marine at the moment. But I assure you, I have nothing but the safety of the civilians on my mind and the capture of the assailants. Thinking about it now why is this the first time he has met this person? Maybe it was just luck that they didn't meet until now. But none of that matters at the moment. Kolby after he would get the females name would probably jump on top of a building and try to scope out any more pirates. Or people in distress. Anyone without a Uniform on right now would be subject to capture.

Being as it may that those scoundrels are in hiding, we will sniff them out from the cracks that they lay in. And crush them where they stand. We will make sure that they will never ever get their hands on a bomb much less another human. Well if this woman gets her hands on them, Kolby is sure that they wouldn't even see the light of day anymore. Which Kolby could understand and respect the reason for doing so.

Kolby wasn't one to order around people. Not, yet of course. He was still much to low of a rank to do so. Even if he had to authority over someone, Kolby doesn't think he would be very good at ordering around people. So he was glad he had someone capable of doing so. It took a load off of him. Maybe if Kolby gets to the captain rank he would start ordering people around. MAYBE. Kolby likes to go off and do his own things most of the time. But looking over the landscape was something hard to do for Kolby. All this damage, all from a single pirate group. And this was still in the Blues. Imagine Grand Line level pirates. They could probably level this whole island or maybe even wipe it off the face of the map. But by then, Kolby should be capable enough to do the same by himself. This tall swole man believed in his strength, he didn't think he was stronger than most people, but he does trust his strength.

Kolby look at to the sea and its vastness. Other than the smoke and fire, nothing was as deep as the sea. Literally, Kolby has heard rumors that there could even be an island really deep down in the sea. He would place  his axe over his shoulder. It wasn't very sturdy, not like his other one at the base, which he should probably go get. Whether its under debris or something, Kolby didn't know but he would find out when he retrieved it. Anyways, Freyr who was of the same rank as Kolby appeared next to him. It seems like this woman was made from this black powder. Kolby rubbed his chin, he wondered what else she could do. Hopefully he got to see some more of her abilities while they were fighting the captain of the crew that caused this.

Freyr smacked Kolby's back, she was quite strong for a lady of her size. But Kolby wouldn't have any other way. Maybe he could let loose while around her. Which Kolby couldn't do around other people. He could injure them and jeopardize the mission. But with Freyr, could he just put herself back together? Maybe that could be something he would test out later...Kolby now with a devious smirk on his face. He would jumped down and follow the ever so mysterious woman. Whether it be trouble or riches that come from following her, Kolby doesn't know, he just hopes that its riches. 

Before heading far Kolby switched out the other axe for his original one. Of course it sported a design and was of better quality. He didn't have much troubles keeping up with Freyr. But man was she quick. If she moved any faster she would leave him in the dust. But thankfully, she stopped and looked back at him. "Yeah, Yeah, you're faster than m- Before Kolby could even recognized the people in front of Freyr, she was already in the ground. Which meant either 2 things. These two were maybe the right hand men of the captain....or they were the captains...Which would be bad. It's not usual for you to see two people acting as captain. Kolby was now on guard. Kolby was lucky that he managed to catch that yellow ball flying at Freyr and covered his eyes. Else he might've been int he same boat as her.

Kolby took the axe off of his shoulder and looked at the man in front of him. Grabbing quite the large piece of house Kolby would chuck it with his left hand and would follow it up with a Horizontal swing from his axe. Of course the guy flipped backwards and using that moment Kolby would quickly grab Freyr up and would put her on his shoulder. I know you have been working overtime, but can't you just stay for 5 more minutes? of course this was no time for jokes, but maybe that would annoy Freyr a bit and get her to stand back up. He would handle the consequences later. Better than dying at the moment.

Keeping his eyes on the werido who seems to do better at hand to hand combat Kolby would pick up another piece of debris. albeit a much smaller piece. He would throw it full force while still looking at the guy who laid the smacketh down on Freyr, his aim would be towards the guy who was on the building. He was hoping to snake eyes the dude and catch him off guard. Of course getting one down would be just great. But seeing as these two might be the masterminds of all this chaos, a little snake eyes might not be enough to put down one of them.

For the most part Kolby thought this fight would go one of two ways. He would take on one and Freyr would take on one. But that didn't look like the case right now. So Kolby would have to stall until he could confirm what condition Freyr was in, so he could calculate his next moves. Whether it was to go semi-all out. Or would it be to single one of them out and hope to put one down at a time. Which could prove to be more difficult than it sounds. Seeing as one of them managed to injure Freyr, The Gun Powder woman herself.

The man on the building countered Kolby's projectile and quickly after was face to face with him. But Kolby also saw that his buddy attacked at the same time. But who should he counter? Kolby took a guess and decided that the main person he might have troubles with might be Twiddle Dum. Preparing himself for Twiddle Dee's attack though he didn't think that he was as fast to just take Freyr, away from him. Which grabbed Kolby's attention for a second. But this second was all Twiddle Dum needed to land a good solid kick on Kolby. But Kolby could take a punch or two, add in a kick and we are good. So using the momentum from the kick Kolby would do a 360 turn and would swing his axe, having it slash into Twiddle Dum's chest. But due to the force of the kick, the cut wasn't too deep.

Twiddle Dum, would touch the cut without a surprised look on his face. Which kind of surprised Kolby. How could a guy take such an injury but not be fazed by it. Twiddle Dum would lick the blood off his fingers and would lunge at Kolby. Soon the two would connect one after the other, and the fight would turn into a slug fest. See who would last the longest. But Twiddle had an advantage, he was faster than Kolby. And soon would would begin to start a little combo on Kolby. First kneeing him on the chin, then following it up with a straight kick to the gut and finishing it off with a punch that sent Kolby into a nearby building. Kolby would slowly rise from the rubble and would wipe the blood from his mouth. This was the first time Kolby had been in such a fight. He hadn't fought someone as strong as this. But this would be good growth for the Marine for future endeavors.

And the two was back at it. But it seems that this time Kolby was stronger and began to overwhelm the pirate. Firstly by punching him and then uppercutting his stomach. And finally grabbing and powerbombing the man into the ground creating a large crater. At the moment Kolby's axe would lay on the floor, amidst the rubble, but it would be easy to spot. He wanted to go a pit farther with the fight before grabbing his axe and attempting to end it. He wanted to make sure that it was the end of the road for the douche bag who did such a thing to Freyr. Well Kolby just met this woman today and he already has this sort of respect for her. Maybe it was something like the aura around her. Kolby shrugged he had no clue. But he did know that the order Freyr gave him, he would follow it to the T.
