Island: Yotsuba
Arc Description: The Clown Crew Pirates have sent in undercover grunts that have set explosives around the island on important key targets, The prison, The Marine Base, and Shell town. After that the Clown Crew Pirates will invade the island from three points, Shell town, the north side of the island, and the west side and each move to secure the above mentioned targets. After that they will just go about eliminating the remaining townspeople and marines until they secure the island.

Freyr was having a nice relaxing day in town, having been transferred here only a week ago she honestly thought this place was more fun the Baterilla Island, except for the latrine duty, even if she does just force some poor grunt to do it and then threaten him to keep his mouth shut. Her favorite duty was when she was sent on patrol with some of the other recruits, and getting to show off why she is better then a cannon. Her superiors sure were surprised when they found out about her devil fruit, not to mention the fact that she is better then any cannon they could hope to buy anytime soon. While she hasn't really gotten any promotion, probably due to her laziness and the fact the riot she may or may not have started (Reports are iffy), more then anything, as she is practically known around base to push off her duties to someone else unless it involved drills but even then she does it with little to no enthusiasm or energy.

Now wither its because the captain of the marine base wanted to come up with some task she would be forced to do, or because he wanted her out of their hair, Freyr had the day off to do whatever. She already went out to the docs and exploded for a bit before she came back to shell town and enjoyed some coffee in a cafe. Currently she is walking down the street with her hands behind her head and her elbows above it, with one of her many cigarettes in her mouth, just looking for something to do. It seems most of the entertainment of this town is just gossiping, and if there was actually anything interesting she just hasn't found it.

"If anything Baterilla was a better place to be assigned just from the things you can do on your days off..." She mumbles to herself as she continues walking around with her perpetually tired face.

Freyr while continuing on her walk starts thinking about various things, mainly, why she joined the marines. At first it was about having a legal way of blowing stuff up and fixing the corrupt system that was the celestial dragons. But now that she was actually in the marines, it was not at all like how she imagined it would be. She imagined sailing the seas fighting off pirates and saving people left and right. Instead all she got so far was various drills and chores that sucked. While the cannon drills were fun they hardly did anything to quell her boredom and disdain. She was now just trying to climb the later as fast as she possibly could, just so she can get out there and actually do something, then be stuck doing drills and chores!

While Freyr was raving she didn't notice that she had walked into some back alley place. It looked like she was behind a cluster of houses. It was in between five or six houses forming a little shaded courtyard, judging by the soccer ball off to the side, kids obviously used it. Though the courtyard was only about fifteen to twenty meters apart, it would work just fine for a small soccer field. Also to note is that even back here there was very little trash and looked pretty clean, if not for the dumpster that was around the side of one building, it would be a good place to relax when you wouldn't want to be found..."Noted for later use...Actually considering that I have literally nothing to do as well as the fact that it IS nice, I have zero reason to not have a not so quick nap. Also this would be a good time to try it out." Freyr says to herself. Taking a few moments to look around, she find a nice patch of lush green grass that was in the shade of a house. Looking around once more making sure no one was around she lays down, resting her head on her hands, and takes her not-so-quick afternoon nap.

It seemed to Freyr only a few seconds after she closed her eyes when she felt a hand clamping shut around her mouth and jaw and ripping her up off the ground and onto her feet. However before she could react, the person who was holding her jawline, slammed her back onto and into the ground. While this didn't have much affect on Freyr she was still annoyed. Looking up at the person, who she now knew was a large man, with an annoyed look. How this man somehow snuck up to her, even while sleeping blew her mind, obviously she should pay attention to drills more often...Nah only in the captain's dreams. She was picked up off the ground again, the man also wrapping  his arm around her waist. Yet even as she was about to blow the large man to heaven, another suddenly came out from behind the man holding her attempted to stick a sword straight through her gut under her rib cage. I say attempt because as it made contact with her shirt, she instantly turned that part of her body into gunpowder, as the man that tired to skewer her, instead skewered the man that was holding her, creating a deep cut into his gut, where his sword got stuck.

Freyr took this opportunity to turn the rest of her body into gunpowder, before reforming only inches from where she was. Not giving the man that had the sword a second to react, she wounds up her right arm obviously telegraphed as she isn't the kind to fight hand to hand, but it was enough as he unnatural strength and speed were obviously leagues above the man, before launching it into the mans face, sending him flying as he was knocked unconscious.

Taking a moment to actually process what happened, she inspected the two. The man that was stabbed was laying on his back clutching a wound in his stomach, meanwhile the man she sent flying looked either completely knocked out or dead...she hoped knocked out or that may hurt her reputation. Turning her attention to the man who was stabbed, as she was about to ask why he did that when she was interrupted by a man's cough 


"Ahem, I believe little lass, that you are in the wrong part of town." said a man in a  Scottish accent that actually gave her shivers

Looking up and behind her to where the man she punched landed which is also where the source of the voice was coming from, revealed to her quite an odd group of people. There were eight of them in total, and all of them had clown masks. They wore normal civilian cloths, like they are just out for a stroll, one even had a green jacket on that looked like hers but different. She, of course, wanted it. They were also in an obvious gang pose, the big strong guys in the back, the smaller but agile guys in the front, one crouching, and the guy with glasses on the right with a hand on his glasses pushing them up. They were trying pretty hard to be cool and failing.

"You should run along before you get hurt." The one with the Scottish accent said, as he tapped a bat in his hand, while the others had pistols or swords. All in all they were the least intimidating people she has ever seen. They were trying pretty hard to be cool and failing.

Freyr blinks at the man in a deadpanned sort of way. before saying "Kay." before very quickly turning her hand into a cylinder and shooting into the mans clown masked face. Honestly if they were just going to stand their and threaten me the least they could do is not be within three meters of each other, they made it way to easy. Freyr thinks to herself as she hums a tune as she walks over to the mostly unconscious men. mostly because the leader with the bad Scottish accent was still awake, but barely.

"T-T-That was a l-lucky shot!" The man said as he staggered to his feet, which surprised Freyr. But it was obvious if she blew on the guy he would pass out, not to mention his crew mates were all unconscious or dead...she was really hoping unconscious...

"So, whats some low life thugs doing on Yotsuba?" Freyr says standing a few feet away "If you tell me I promise not to kick you in the balls as hard!" She says with a smirk

The man held up a finger about to say something, before looking at all of his unconscious team mates before looking back and saying in a completely normal, non-Scottish accented voice "We were sent here by the Clown Crew Pirates to set up bombs around shell town, we were only told to set this one bomb, please don't kick me in the nads." The last part comes out as a whimper

"hmmmm, No." She then kicks him said balls before he could react. The man lets out an unholy screech that she swears could be head in the grand line. When the man keeled over frothing at the mouth Freyr began to think before coming to a decision. Knowing that was was happen was going to be serious she did the first thing that she knew would help everyone. So with a resolved look on her face, and her fist clenched in determination, she promptly stripped that one guy of his jacket. I mean come on! He is obviously a pirate who won't need it, and it would go so well if her currently coat every tears or something!

"There, now to warn everyone else." With a skip in her step Freyr leaves to go warn everyone, with a new jacket in arm.

Despite the new joy she has for having a new jacket, she still did understand the danger that the island is in. One, possibly more teams of demolition teams infiltrated the island and are setting bombs. While she doesn't understand the meaning of such a thing, it wasn't hard to figure out the that the main crew is waiting out of sight of the shore until they were given the signal was given. 

Before actually leaving the clearing she did grab the bomb, which then then promptly started disarming as she ran. Now don't get her wrong, just because she is a gunpowder women doesn't mean she had any damn clue how to disarm a live bomb, so all she could really do is take the gunpowder out. Which was proving harder then she thought as she ran through the streets. The bomb itself was just a black round ball, very similar to a cannon ball, but if they were planting it somewhere then it must have a detonator. But she just couldn't manage to get the gunpowder out of it, due to the lack of holes, and she didn't want to break it because while she could control gunpowder, she couldn't stop it from exploding without actively getting it wet or something. So she was getting it to the marine base where they could disarm it.

"All things considered" she said to herself as she ran through town with a grimace of annoyance on her face, Dodging past a particular big man "I am actually making great time to the-"

And that was when the bomb in her hands exploded

When Freyr had gotten this day off, there were a few thing she wasn't expecting to happen to her. The first was of course stopping some clown mask wearing freaks to jump her and want to plant a bomb. The second, was having said bomb in her hand AND GET SENT THROUGH A HOUSE! Freyr didn't what happened, but working with explosions as closely as she was, she knew what a bomb of that size could do. It was a miracle she wasn't all over the place. But she definitely knew she blacked out after the bomb exploded. Wither from the shock of it, or the sudden acceleration through a wall, but when she woke up her everything hurt and burned like hell. Except for her right leg which felt strangely numb. She could worry about that later though as currently she had the roof of a house on top of her. 

Freyr gives out a groan, every breath she took never seeming like enough as her chest was currently being compressed by roof. "No wonder they tell you to wear protection when working with live bombs." Freyr says as she turns completely into gunpowder and drifts slowly out from the wreckage, before reforming standing up. "Shit fucking hurts when it goes off."

She took in the site before her as she reformed with a grimace. The entirety of shell town was on fire. Every house in the block was in the process of having a competition on which one could burn down the fastest. Surprisingly however, the house she was sent through wasn't on fire. Lucky her... While she couldn't see anyone, bodies or otherwise, she could hear the screaming, as well as gunshots. Concern cross her face for a few moments before going back to her normal perpetual tired look as she looked herself over.

Honestly the fact she wasn't all over the pavement was great, even if every part of her hurt like hell. Looking over herself she could tell she looked like shit. Her entire outfit was covered in soot, dust, sawdust, and wood chips mainly from the house. She was bleeding from a cut on her left temple that threatened to drip into her eye, but she ignored it for the most part. Every time she breathed she got a some mild pain, pretty sure she cracked or broke a rib or two. Besides that however she was pretty alright besides all the bruises she would have in the morning.

"Someone started the party without me. Guess I should join in the fun then." Going to take out her pack of cigarette's she found them in actually alright condition all things considered. Taking one out and lighting it by snapping her fingers, she takes a long draw before sighing out smoke as she walked towards the chaos.

As Freyr walked down the street and witness all the carnage the the bomb had caused. If she wasn't as experienced in explosions as she was, she would of sworn that every other house had a bomb stuck in it for all the property damage the barrage gave off. She saw houses utter collapsed, pieces of others scattered across the streets she walked. Truly it was a testament to whoever made them that they did so much...If she wasn't going to arrest them she would of sat down with them and seen what they could come up with together. In other news she could rub this day in the face of whoever payed for her own collateral damage bills, saying she wasn't so bad.

As Freyr walked along the street she noticed something weird, there were no bodies. There were certainly screaming and cries of pain, but wherever she went there were no bodies. Like someone had come by and took them away. Considering how the whole island was pretty much a marine base, it actually wasn't that outlandish. Surely the townspeople were taught what to do in this situation, as well as the marines. So all in all it was actually impressive how fast and seemingly organized they were. Didn't explain the screams she was hearing in the distance, but rushing in would help no one.

At least thats what she thought until she turned a corner and saw some clowns fighting a group of marines. She took only a few moments to look over the scene in front of her before she sprang into action. She races up taking her baton out of her coat pocket, she turns left hand in gunpowder, before reforming into an 8 cylinder barrel. She started waving her baton up and down in a tempo, as she started blasting the clowns in the chest. Raising her baton in the way a conductor would motion for a crescendo, the ball would explode. The marines who were fighting recognized the black powder balls in front of them and jumped away as fast as they could. Of course there were a few slow ones, but besides one or two getting caught most of them got away.

The ones she shot didn't get up again, mainly because she sent them either flying, or her blasts just made them crumple to the ground. After making sure the damn clown bastards were down for the count she went over to greet her fellow marines.

If Freyr had looked like shit, the marines she were walking towards looked they went through a war zone and back... Actually now that she thought about it is exactly what Yotsuba has turned into in what, an hour? maybe less? Hell if she knew, she was knocked out for Christs sake, also possible mild concussion but that is nothing to worry about now. While non of the marines were sporting broken limbs or anything, they did look beat up as well as cut up. Nothing to bad, but they still looked bad, Deep gashes on their arms and a few bruises but besides that they seemed fine. Better then her in her opinion.

"Thanks for showing up when you did Freyr, we would of been mincemeat if you didn't." One marine said as one of his comrades wraps a bandage around his arm

"It was no problem. What I want to know is what the hell happened? How the hell could we get sneak attacked like this? And where are all the towns people at?" Freyr asked, crossing her arms as she looked out for anymore clown freaks. Seriously those guys were just freaky, who the hell said clowns are funny. 

"Well, majority of the People who were in town are in various hiding places being guarded with whatever marines were around, and the den den mushis haven't been able to reach base for reinforcements so we have just been securing the town." The same marine said as his comrade finished patching him up. Freyr gave the marine a once over and confirmed her suspicions. This guy wasn't an officer. He didn't have the look, nor did he talk with the authority of one.

"Where is your commanding officer? Shouldn't he be with you?" Freyr asked with one eye brow raised as the comrade that was rapping bandages around the marine went off to help the others.

"Last I saw he was with a group of people leading them to safety. Beyond that no clue. We were going back to meet up with him when we were ambushed." Freyr nodded at the man as he talked.

"Alright, Lets move out then if you're done. We have wounded we need to get to to protect, not to mention we gotta kick some clown ass off our island." Freyr said with full confidence despite the still bleeding head wound. The other marines grinned and nodded with her words, and then the group set out.

As Freyr walked through the half burning, half destroyed city, she was reflecting on her day and found that it has been pretty good. She had blown up some dudes, kicked on the the nuts, which was pretty fun. While sure getting blown through a house did suck and hurt like hell, still did, but it didn't put a damper on her day. She had blown up some freaky clowns, saved a squad earning their respect and gratitude, and was now leading said squad. Truly the fact that she was leading anything meant she was going to at least get a medal if not a promotion! Truly a day like this couldn't get any worse! Thats when Murphey decided to laugh at her.

Then Freyr with her squad of marines and turned the corner of a block and came face to face with a trio of...Men? She didn't know if the hooded person in between the two men was a man or female.

Freyr Signaled to halt as she looked at the trio with some confusion. The first thing that caught her atention was the fact that a vice admiral was to the left the hooded person, meaning at the very least they were friendly. The second was the fact that the man on right of the hooded person was wearing armor of LITERAL gold. She looked over her shoulder at the marine she talked to earlier where he shrugged. When the Vice admiral spoke she, and the rest of her temporary squad, saluted. Who in their right mind wouldn't salute at a vice admiral as a low ranked as they were?

Whether you be friend or foe identify yourself, and don't come any further gentleman."

When the vice admiral asked Freyr was the first to respond "Ensign Preben sir! Me and this squad of marines are on our way to meet up with our commanding officer, Sir!" Freyr says, The wound on her left temple starting to drip into her eye, but she simple gave it no mind as she continued her introduction. The other marines responded with their rank and name, all of them recruits besides her.

Freyr, Like the rest of her temporary squad, had stood stock still in salute, not daring to break it while under the gaze of the Vice Admiral. Freyr's first impression of the Vice Admiral was that he was a man who had seen a lot. Though that wasn't unusual with Vice admirals. Or so she assumed anyway, being that high up in the marines, of course you had to see a lot of things. Comes with the job requirement. But she was rambling, while she didn't move her eyes off the Vice Admiral, she did eye the man in gold armor from the corner of her eye. And honestly? She couldn't get a read on the guy besides that he always seemed pissed. Well...No not pissed, like we were thieves getting to close to his wallet. She also gave the hooded person in the middle a once over before deciding that there is literally nothing she could discern besides the fact they loved purple. The hooded cloak REALLY looked like a little much to her. And didn't look comfortable in any way.

Freyr and the squad of men just stood there saluting the Vice Admiral the entire time, as they hadn't been giving permission to ease. If one of those clown bastards showed up now with a file they would all been killed...Except her, because she could just let the bullet pass through her, but still. It was good then that the man and the middle pointed at her with...a...furry...arm...

Freyr's Eyes widen in surprise at the arm covered in fur, mainly because she was expecting the hood person to be human. But while she was trying to process what she was seeing, The Vice Admiral called her up front and center. Jumping a bit at the sudden call, she walks up, as formal as she could mange with her shock. Freyr watched with crowing shock visible on her face as she is handed the envolope. As the Vice Admiral took off into the sky she looked after them for a few moments, before looking down at the envolope, before turning to look at the also shocked marine recruits behind her.

"The fuck just happened?" Freyr asked

After Freyr actually recovered from the shock of that entire situation (which she was trying very hard to block out of her memory) She stashed the envelope in her coat pocket, intent of reading it later after she had an actual safe and secured position. Which given the situation, means after she either A secured shell town, or B Defeated all the freaky clowns on the island...Truthfully she didn't like her chances of doing whatever she was supposed to do in two weeks. 

She motioned for the squad to follow her, and they did, shaking themselves out of their shocked state, and with grim determination of their faces as they traveled through the smoking wreck that was a street towards where their commanding officer's last known position. As they traveled they didn't encounter anymore clowns, or marines, or civilians for that matter. Honestly Shell Town was more like a ghost town at this point, with the civilians in safe places with marines as guards, its honestly only a matter of time until we secured it. 

Freyr and her squad heard gunshots as they were about three blocks away, and then they started running. As Freyr ran she pulled out her conductor's baton, and turned her left arm completely into gunpowder, her jacket sleeve flailing in the wind as she ran. As she and her Squad rounded the final corner, they saw the square in complete chaos. There were clowns attacking the marines who were trying to hold them back from what looked like a cellar entrance.

Freyr Immediately starting firing into the crowd of Pirates, trying to aim it in such a way that the marines wouldn't get hit, but of course as the battle was so hectic and scrambled, it was hard to do. Raising her baton she begins her symphony, starting low, before turning her arm into three circular balls, basket ball in size, and launched them at the group. Freyr Raising her baton as each explosion goes off, flourishing her baton in a very elegant manor, before putting it away, and went over to check the casualties.

Lucky only four marines were hit, out of the nine that were there, meaning that she didn't hit the fifty percent mark. They were unconscious, but alive, according to a medic. While the other five marines did shoot her dirty looks, they didn't comment on it. She did however take out quite a few pirates though.
