Alright so I’ve quoted all three posts so I can fully go through my point, bare with me as the important points will be in red.
Argument: I did indeed interpret Howard’s advance properly. b) I was in my intangible form when I attacked. c) I was able to close the distance between Howard and I, using a skill, and the ceiling term can be used interchangeably with roof.
However, before all of this, let me just argue my case a bit.
Lazarus King wrote:The sound of boots pressing against the concrete in swarms of hundred's could've been heard, approaching from each side in the district.
"Oi. Jun." Nico stated.
"I'm sure Frog- Jerome senses it too. It's alot of them. Coming from all directions... I can hear their murmurs... Admiral... Songbirds... Hilda.... Junbei... They're talking about us." Junbei would report in realtime.
"Admiral?" Junbei pondered.
"Is that a code name or something?" Junbei exclaimed genuinely lost.
"Nico. Octavia. Free the slaves from their shackles… I'll see if I can do something about their collars." Junbei inquired.
Supporting Evidence:
Right so, at this point, the forces I’m able to hear can only be within 150 Diameters of my position. Meaning, any forces at the 1km point, would be the ones Gambit enter the thread with.
This merely for story plot reasons, and honestly, I thought when the NPC entered, that, he’d use the force that’s most close, but Gambit game with own goons so it’s all good, just meant more problems for me. Also note, Nico can only sense up to 750M, so anything at 1km would be impossible for him. Meaning, it'd have to be what Jun's picking up at the 150 M mark. Fun fact, you murdered the marines at this point with your attack lmao.
Proof below Radar was present.
Skill Name: Radar II
Tier: 3
Type Normal
Range: 150M Diameter
Speed: V
Description:
The user is able to listen into conversations and all sounds within 150 diameter of his range. However, he’s unable to put ‘body’ or ‘person’ to these sounds unless he’s previously met them or mentally visualising them using Kenbunshoku Haki, this skill can last up to five posts. When coupled with his Kenbunshoku Haki, if he's met with the PC or NPC before, he can place the voice to the aura. At this tier, waves can penetrate stone walls effectively, objects appear as blue in nature.
275|300 HS
Sixth Sense: 1KM Range.
Nico: 200|250
Burn BazookaSixth Sense: 750 M Range
Aura Sight Active
Now onto gambit’s post, now I’m not going to nitpick I just need this post for a few points.
Admiral wrote:
Howard grunted under his breath as he utilized his fastest unenhanced speed to make his way towards the area where the Celestial Dragon was known to be, still continuing to utilize his kenbunshoku haki as a means to find dangers and anomalies. Before moving in that direction he made sure to notify two of his rear admirals to follow close behind, those rear admirals being Aoi Yoshida and Sansun Jikunman. After arriving one kilometer away from where the Celestial dragon was currently making her rounds, he was made aware of the carnage taking place. He had arrived just as Jerome had intercepted the butler of the Celestial Dragon, and through the use of kenbunshoku haki witnessed the violence that unfolded. He saw as Jerome utilized his death wink to slaughter an innumerable number of civilians in an attempt to kill the Celestial Dragon. The man that once had the hope of being saved was obliterated in the blink of an eye. The bodies of women and children lay strewn about on the ground, their blood staining the pavement. The worst part of it all was that Jerome did not have single shred of a reaction to the slaughter he had just performed, instead acting as though he was a hero. He gallantly stood in the puddle of blood leaking from the severed torso of an 8 year old child, now deceased.
Dialogue For Arguement: Now at this point, Gambit is at the 1km point. With however how many so of his men, and Aoi and the Sansun would be at their points I assume from East and West. Gambit coming from the North.
Via the use of his kenbunshoku haki, Howard also saw how the man transformed himself in a frog and realized that the group responsible for this travesty was The Songbirds. A disturbing feeling began to well up in his stomach as he took in the information at hand. A surging tide of rage threatened to boil out and cause him to lose all semblance of reason. Of course, given his experience as an admiral and the many life threatening situations he had been in, he knew that giving into his anger would be the death of him and of the many civilians he had sworn to protect. This was still the most angry he had ever been in his life however, and his soul mourned for loss of so much innocent life. It was as though he could hear the souls of the fallen calling him to avenge their pointless deaths. He knew that even if he had to stake his life upon it, that he needed to obliterate The Songbirds with all the forces available to him. These sick individuals did not deserve to continue walking the earth, wantonly causing destruction, suffering, and mayhem wherever they went.
Dialogue For Arguement: Now this part is actually very important, Howard’s anger, is what allows Junbei to distinct him in his post, I just interpreted it in my post as killing intent. Since Gambit never went here nor there with stating what his anger was for, just note for the sake and purposes of my argument, I interpreted his anger as Killing Intent. And reference this frequently among my post.
The instant that Howard had gotten within one kilometer of the encounter he had continued to move towards it along with his rear admirals. They were also utilizing kenbunshoku haki and were able to see the majority of the scene as they reached the seven hundred and fifty meter mark. They had all viewed what happened while moving towards their destination. Howard had been utilizing his aura sight the moment he had viewed the members of the Songbirds, and he was made aware of each of their positions as he continued to approach them at his fastest unenhanced speed. Given that they were having their little reunion by the time he had reached the two hundred and fifty meter mark, Howard was ready to completely utilize his arsenal to destroy his opposition.
Dialogue For Arguement: Now in my post, I mentioned that though I was having my reunion, my radar and Haki would’ve still be picking up life forms, killing intent etc. Because if you refer to the Sixth Sense skill, it allows you to feel incoming danger, at this point, Gambit couldn’t have been not moving, he’d be approaching us, so he’d actually be at the 250 M point when me and Melz talked.
Around the time that Junbei caught wind of the approaching marine troops, Howard had already utilized his speed to arrive on top of the building directly overlooking the Songbirds to the north. His arrival was marked shortly after with a distinctive cry of rage in which Howard shouted:
Dialogue For Arguement: I interpreted this line as: Before he arrived (position established), he’d screamed moments before. So scream, then position established. Note, Howard/Gambit didn’t state how he got here, whether it be by Geppo or By Foot. This point is important as it relates to my post.
“DIE YOU BASTARDS!”
Howard’s voice echoed for hundreds of meters and could be distinctly heard by the Songbirds. A tear fell down Howard’s face as he swung his swords with the greatest force he could muster, having drawn them on the way over. The was done simultaneously to when Junbei was about to attempt to remove the bombs from the collars. With all of his anger he utilized both swords simultaneously, making sure that neither of the attacks that came from them stopped the other from traveling forward. From his left sword made of seastone, a massive spiraling air pressure wave in the form of a sphere with a one hundred meter diameter was launched towards the Songbirds. This wave would flatten everything in front Howard for hundred meters in all directions, with the entire Songbird crew being in the epicenter. Anything struck by the wave of spiraling air pressure would be ground into dust, with no material being strong enough to withstand its power. Given the close proximity of this attack, it was unlikely for there to be any method of traversing enough ground to get out of its range before it would strike. The spiraling air pressure wave traveled at its quickest speed possible as it made its way towards the Songbirds.
At the same time, Howard’s right sword released another massive wave of air pressure, except this one was in the shape of a square one hundred meters in length and width. This wave was a bit different from the spiral one utilized by Howard’s left arm as this square of air pressure was actually thousands of slicing wind blades that would slice apart any known material with ease. Anyone hit by this attack would have their entire body and all of the belongings completely sliced to tiny bits, leaving almost nothing remaining. While the two abilities happened simultaneously, they did not cancel each other out but rather fused together in some sort of spiraling calamity. The combined force of the two abilities would completely level the buildings below and reduce anyone caught within their ranges to dust. Howard had no qualms with utilizing this method of mass destruction because all civilian presence had been erased from the scene long ago by the evil frog man Jerome. There were no civilians for a whole kilometer, having been evacuated long ago and leaving Howard to kill with impunity. As these attacks had enough of a range that they could injure the user, Howard had utilized Geppo to place himself sixty meters above the building line, placing him well out of range of his own abilities. He had of course launched the abilities before utilizing Geppo as his speed was fast enough to do so.
Throughout the utilization of these two abilities, Howard had his hawk eyes and sixth sense activated and trained on anything that could be a threat to him. He would still utilize these abilities even if he were not able to begin his previously mentioned attacks. Throughout all of his actions, Howard was prepared to stop whatever he was doing and react to an incoming threat or something that he deemed necessary to deal with. Howard's attacks had taken full effect just before his cry of rage began. Of course, Howard was not the only individual here with a bone to pick with the Songbird. His two rear admirals were also livid at the prospect of so many innocent lives being lost and they knew that they had to help out as best they could as well.
Howard truly hoped that this barrage of attacks would wipe out the Songbirds and put an end to their reign of terror. He wished for these seas to be a place free from the scourge of pirates like Jerome. Knowing how powerful they were however, he was not expecting these blows to be capable of killing them and thus he was ready to continue fighting these evil bastards if he needed to.
After utilizing his techniques he stayed above in the sky while utilizing geppo and surveying the area beneath him and surveying his entire surroundings with his kenbunshoku haki. Any unrecognizable but powerful entity that entered within a one kilometer range of Howard would be instantly recognized as a possible threat and prepared for by Howard. Just as Junbei had predicted, a massive surge of hundreds of marines was approaching the area from the east and west, preparing to do combat against the Songbirds, should they be alive that is.
Dialogue For Arguement: This bit is basically Gambit’s attack but a few things I want to note here, He fired off two Tier 2 Skills, putting his stamina at 400/600. Meaning, he’d be panting lightly after this attack. Hence why, my Equaliser would’ve been the most accurate attack.
Howard - 2 Tier 5 skills, Kenbunshoku Haki, Geppo
Aoi - 1 Tier 5 skill, Kenbunshoku Haki
Sansun - 1 Tier 5 skill, Kenbunshoku Haki
Argumental Point: I actually did interpret Gambit’s Post right.
In monitoring the movements of the fleeing Celestial, Junbei’s Kenbunshoku had already been stretched 1km in all directions the entire time from his moving off towards Jerome from his prior position diagonal from Candy Factory, with his Radar clocking in a whopping one hundred fifty meter range behind (outward and upwards) it, meaning, if a bee’s buzzing was to merely cease even 400 feet above the ground, that subtle of a sound, he’d be able to know.
Dialogue For Arguement: So I’m pretty much saying, my Haki would pick up anyone at the 1KM point in any direction. And my radar has 150 Diameters worth of sound available.
As his mind was overloaded with many thoughts, sounds and images from activating his Kenbunshoku and Radar meshing at his level of mastery.
Dialogue For Argument: I make acknowledge of all sounds within my radar’s range. At the brim of his 1km scope, as stated prior, forces approached from the East and West, however, one in particular stood out more than any other, it was the rage of gloom stricken man, and his path was that Northern Bound, and incoming.
Dialogue For Arguement: Now, in Gambit’s post, he disregarded the fact that my Haki was indeed activated first, so I would’ve felt the forces coming in. Note, I didn’t say, I felt Howard at the 1km point. I felt the forces incoming, as in, this is all happening in real time, they’re movement, which breaks any falsely constructed timeline Howard would’ve made, as he’s basing this that he’d be moving fast enough for me not to perceive, I mean this point is an assumption, but I can’t actually see why I couldn’t go back in the timeline and notice a new set of forces coming in at 1km points.
However, the nature of Kenbunshoku didn’t overflow his mind of the incoming enemies, adding stress. No actually, his training to feel nothing from Derous played it’s most integral role at times like these. Junbei remained calm because as showcased earlier, it was just marines approaching correct? The hatred they’d feel was simply because of his name or rank, anything else was oblivious or irrelevant to him. As perspective usually shaped the opinions of bandwagoners and fools alike.
As the marines central pillars in this raid moved closer and closer, these three Knights moving along the Shogi board much faster than the pawns in their arsenal, but again, one Knight seemed much eager than the others.
Dialogue For Arguement: I’m making acknowledgement that your Rear Admirals and yourself had broken away from the pack of forces, making it more obvious. Your intent was stronger than there’s as nothing much was said about how they felt. Didn’t even need empath tbh, your emotions were on your selve. So regardless of the 750 or 250 M, I would’ve felt your positions but since you stated them, I didn’t see need to menton where you were at, just I felt you and Rear Admirals incoming.
However, this Knight was moving at a readily pace, and had it not been for his Kenbunshoku Haki, he would’ve barely been able to follow him with his eyes (if he was looking at him), as his senses were fairly sharp as is but his Kenbunshoku allowed Junbei to feel his every advancement forward. Nonetheless, the Knight travelling by foot towards the location, shifting through the pipeline Street leading to their position, continued on.
Junbei had just begun to attempt to free the first of the slaves, by removing their collars but no action as such had occurred yet. From the odd some two hundred and so meters away, again, the eager Knight, bloodlust in all, scaled a fifty meter building to the North, which would’ve been to the back of Junbei, ten meters away. As, only black magic would’ve teleported the man from running on foot, to the top of the building, maybe some skill allowed him, but since he was moving at around Tier 5 speeds, it was hard to tell what possessed anyone, to move with the same swiftness of any of Junbei’s own skills(V - Five), that of sound. If a dying bee’s wings stopping flapping could’ve been heard, anything moving with that speed would’ve surely be something to be feared, regardless of reunions or bonds, because above all else, Paranoia, crept into the Yonko’s heart long before this incident and rear it’s ugly head, bringing notice of the man’s position and intent to his attention.
Dialogue For Arguement: So here’s where the confusion and point for Gambit’s attack being already active comes in. HAD, the timeline went the way he depicted it. Here’s where my manip comes in too, Howard never said how he was moving, whether by foot or via Geppo, actually, the only mention of Geppo is after the fact, when he’s trying to escape from his own attacks. So, I said he was running, and if he was running by foot, and yes running, not jumping, because it was never explicitly stated, the timeline Gambit described of him being to magically be atop of the building would’ve been impossible, hence a new timeline is formed. Unless he has the Swim Swim Fruit, light humour lmao. So, at this point, the timeline changes, the time it’d take for Gambit to climb the building, whether by Geppo or whatever, would’ve taking him awhile. So when I said I sensed him at the 250 M mark and was attempting to take the collars off, even before this, we’d enter into another timeline flow. Because, he was running and would have to climb the building, he wouldn’t have been able to attack as soon as I reach for the collars to the precision depicted. It’d happen, just everything would’ve been slowed down to amicable speeds.
Perception is 5, so his highest unhanced speed was V, so all movements I’d be able to feel in real time.
Howard now at the top of this fifty meter building, Junbei’s position had shifted slightly prior to the Admiral's arrival, two meters backwards to the North to attempting to save the first of the slaves from the collars. Meaning, only eight meters separated himself and the Howard at this point, whom Junbei's eyes would now lay upon, aside from the height difference of about fifty meters from the ground, plus the height of the 9’3ft man, but indeed, he’d still be situated in the centre of the street way, in terms of symmetrical lining of the building’s foundation’s centre, to his centre in the street. The Devil would be in the details but the exact moment, the Admiral motioned his blades for an attack, Junbei could hear the sound of the muscles, vessels and bones in his body churning, as the Admiral’s intent itched for a sacrifice and the beginnings of a screech or shout would surface. A familiar sound Junbei heard from the screeches of victims who’d lost their hearing or bellowed in rage from the past, it was a obscure sound, the moment when air enters into the lungs, he’d been so accustomed to be hearing just naturally by now.
Dialogue For Argument: Now, out of my maniped timeline, Gambit arrives at this point above the building, nothing has changed really, just the time, it’d take for him to climb the building and arrive at it’s peak, get into position to overlook the sound birds and scream his banter. I just assumed, I reach for collar before this happens, because, of the new factor.
For at the very moment the man lifted his blades to the heavens, no matter how slight of a timing interval, two things would happen, in time with Junbei touching the slave’s collar. Entering into his natural intangible state, much like a reflex, a blink or a breath, he’d turn his body completely invisible, becoming the rawest form of his element which was sound. He’d move like sound against his radar's echograph, and within moments of a moment, he’d fade completely off anyone’s ‘radar’. Funnelling outwards through the medium of air, in an inconspicuous direction away from the generic initial route of the Admiral’s possible attack in arc motion. His body would reform, at this point, the deed of Junbei’s attack, would’ve had already commenced, and more importantly, the man’s screech and attack. For the man’s screech could be the last noises the Admiral uttered into this world, and subsequently, any actions after, excluding the man, would occur.
Dialogue: Used my skill to get on top the ceiling by riding my already existing radar’s waves to the top. At this point, your scream would’ve taken place before the attack, I get that, but moved moments before the motion begun, you said, the screech happened, then the attack. But, you never mentioned how you motioned your muscles in correspondence to launching the attacks, i.e. the setup of the attack, and I gave you a set up, by moving your muscles. The setup I gave you, the attack is all yours.
Setup comes before your screech, then screech, then attack. I just added an element before.
The Devil was in the details, and literally this Sound Demon waited for the man’s screech to echo and his attack to reign, now freed by his intangibility, reforming on the ceiling behind the man, well in scope of his Radar. The ceilings top was around, fourteen meters in size, the Northern Knight, now recognisable as the Admiral, standing at his peak facing south towards the street from his North Position. The distance between the two was around twelve meters, and instantly, the bulk of his body would reform. Remember, the Devil is in the details, two things had happened the moment Junbei had went intangible, aside from his reformation on the ceiling, he’d began release very odd sound-waves, each with a resonating amplifying effect, spanning over fifty diameters in all directions. With the natural ability to continuously move with his sound, all effects of the waves produced upon his motion came with him. Meshed in with in his resurging body, were these soundwaves which expanding instantaneously to his reformation, which happened gradually, to accommodate any change in the Admiral’s movements. By this point, the man was at the
'YOU’, in his loud exclamation. And, like he said, they’d all heard it. It was then, the odd waves took effect. By the time the man finished his statement, 'BA-STARDS' the last two syllables had been amplified with enough force to disintegrate the man’s voice box, actually at this force of skill (Tier 5 Str), i’d be strong enough to disintegrate several components of the throat internally, causing the Admiral to potentially choke on his own blood. All he needed to do was finish two key sentiments, two syllables of the last word in his statement, which he’d already committed to screaming. As stated, the Devil is in the details, the Rear Admirals attack would continue, but what of the fate of the Admrial himself. If unsuccessful, Junbei would still evade by entering into his intangible state and reforming on the ceiling, however, he’d keep monitoring all positions with his Haki for any movements that flowed against his plans, activating his Aura Sight, keeping another plan at bay in his mind. Regardless, any slight movements, such as blasting off the ceiling or swinging around would be amplified with enough force to deafen anyone within Fifty Diameters. Everything under the bird’s ‘eye’ would be amplified to death strokes, to everyone but Junbei that is.
Dialogue: Act this point, my reformed body was now intangible, merged into ceiling, the attack was already gone off. Basically, our attacks went off at the same time.
For continual application of sound-waves to a medium, as the user moves, the continual omissions travels with the user. For example, if omitting low frequency waves over a five meter scope, it’s continual, so for that duration, the user can move and the scope will surround Junbei as such for that period of time.
(This is how I’m able to use my skills in my intangible form.)
Skill Name: Radar II (upkeep)
Tier: 3
(Radar in action)Logia intangibility works two different ways here. Non-threatened intangibility and reactionary intangibility. Non-Threatened Intangibility is just sustaining intangibility, for the sake of sustaining it, even though there's no actual perceived danger or threat around you. Reactionary intangibility is activating your intangibility, as a response to perceiving an attack on your person. Non-Threatened intangibility comes at a cost of 15 Stamina per post and can only be used for 3 post, before all intangibility goes on a 2 post cooldown.
Reactionary Intangibility is completely free and cannot be pushed onto a cooldown. (Reactionary Instability used to merge with the ceiling aka the roof which is a solid medium and sound can pass through solids.)Skill Name: Echo Graph Pin!
Tier: 1
Type Normal
Range: Range of Radar Skill
Speed: V
Description:
With the Radar Skill active, Junbei is able to ride his soundwaves to appear anywhere within his Echolocation Map through the use of this skill.
(Skill to close the distance)Skill Name: Equaliser
Tier: 5
Type Normal
Range: 50 Diameter
Speed: V
Description:
Junbei puts up a fifty diameter dome(maximum size) made of low frequency sound-waves spanning outwards, however, these waves have a slight twist, these waves amplify the sounds of all noises, from as subtle as blood flow, beating hearts, lungs or even the sound of human yawning. All of the sounds packed into this enclosed space cause a wicked vibration that causes materials/objects/matter with weaker Material of Destruction make to disintegrate.
I'd also like to note, that even in a setting where the attack occurs first, my intangibility isn't hinged on his movements, I'd be already intangible, so even if my attack is voided, I'd still be in an intangible state the whole time. As it's reactionary to his attacks.
