Word had been sent of their arrival before they even left Abfall. Due to detours taken by Gruff his Escort would arrive a week after the first group, the one that contained the Revolutionary Commander. But, that wasn't who Derous was here to see. On his way here he had called, via Den Den Mushi, his Higher ups to fill them in on his next movements and they told him about the incident on Fishman Island. Impel Down was surrounded, more than usual, with ships guarding it. Many even patrolled around the sea. This was understandable though. The contents of Impel down were more valuable than they've been in years. That was one reason Derous was heading there. The Prison would need to be looked over, and to catch rats. As it wasn't uncommon for the Revolutionary army to have someone infiltrate a place such as Impel Down. Rare, but it does happen. And with Chie being sent their they were sure to send some. Derous also was heading here for personal reasons, as he needed to check the spot where he was 'killed'. He did something at that moment in case he ever ended up back here again. Derous already knew he would feel a lot of emotions.
"I'm going to need one of you to straighten my hair. And the other to help me remove these bandages from my head." Derous would say to the agents within the room, and they would listen to him.
"Yes Director." Is what they'd say in unison as two would come over to assist the one-hand bandit. One-hand bandit was the nick name some of the agents he has been thinking of recruiting called him. He was rebuilding CP9 and wanted fresh individuals he could mold. Some though came from Base #45, or had been there at one point in their life.
Derous hated that he lost a hand in that fight with Ren, as it limited him. He hated Gruff's body and wished he could've just had his saved, but he couldn't make requests to that man. His second chance at life wasn't even something he asked for, but he would cherish it from here on out. The Agents weren't able to straighten his hair, and it would stay wild. She did though, for some reason, make the ends pointed upward like horns. The other agents held back chuckles after seeing this. Derous would sand up and shake their head. "Go wait with the others outside." Derous would say as he wold notice this and get a bit irritated. He couldn't say anything a he recruited them. He recruited everyone that belonged to CpP9 now that he was the Director, well leader. He would look into the mirror, and he old. Yeah, he had white hair in some areas and after cutting his beard of the 5'oclock shadow made him look more rugged. Oh, and the scars he now had. He had, at first, praised this body for not having any blemishes. But, now he had a 'X' scar on his forehead.
He though about grabbing a mask, but decided not to. He was known but because of his Martial Arts, and not his affiliation to CP9. The guards and Warden of Impel Down though are aware of a CP agent coming to check out the prison, as that info was sent to them before Derous even arrived. This wasn't something that was sudden and suspicious, as the Warden has the details of the reason for this. The guards new of Cp coming through, but not why. Only person privy to that information was the Warden, and maybe his best Head Jailer.
Derous would leave the ship and he and the Agents would begin to walk toward the entrance. His agents were within the standard CP agent uniform. Their bandages didn't say CP9 though, but rather CP8. This was for obvious reasons. But another was because they actually belonged to that agency, as well as CP9. This was their first mission to see if they actually belonged in the secret organization. Derous didn't have a cover other than the Martial Arts for his reputation. Most that was know about him, dealing with the WG, was that he was really connected. Which also means going against him wasn't favorable unless you also had influence.
A group of guards stood there as Derous and the agents approached. "We have been waiting your arrival, sir! The Warden is busy at the moment, but he sends his greetings and would like you to speak with him before you leave. We are though to escort you around. To help you through the different areas."
"No." Derous would quickly say. As they already had gotten things twisted.
"Huh?" The Guard would say.
"This is what we will do. I will take one of the twenty agents I have to the lowest level. You will escort five of my best so that can give me the run down of the place. And the rest will watch the monitors. If there are any problems with that I will speak with my higher up, to get what I need. As this isn't just a simple walk through to see if you guys are doing your job correctly. It is to make sure, and I mean make sure. That this place is as lock tight as people say it is. So, give me your keys." Derous would say. The Guard not wanting t getting in trouble or on the bad side of this man would hand over his keys to Derous.
Derous and the agent, who was a small boy, would begin to walk away. As Derous knew where to go. He used to be a prisoner and also a employee here, and he knew more about Impel than most of the staff currently here.
"You know the other are going to tell them you aren't that bad of a guy. And just focused on your work." The Boy would tell Derous as the walked inside. They walked passed prisoners being processed.
"That is why I only took you with me." Derous would say. As he would give the keys to the boy and remove a piece of paper. This paper is what he'd show anyone that tried to come at him. They would soon make it to the elevator and have it begin to head down.
As the elevator began to lower and Derous would slip into a deep thought.
"I wanted...to become an Admiral; so that I could exterminate those that went against the Law. But, I became that exact thing. I wanted to also, along the way, become Warden here at Impel down for awhile. But, those two things will never happen. I will never become a tool of Justice for the World Government. I though am not fine with that, and wish I could take back that one decision. But, I am on a new path. A path that will not be pleasant. Not for me...but for everyone within this world. Humans, Fishman, Dwarfs, Giants, even fellow Skypieans are toxic. Everything within this world is toxic. And I must...I must absorb that toxicity by devouring you in my own. So.....UTTER ANNIHILATION OF THIS WORLD IS MY PLAN FROM NOW ON!"
That was the last big speech that he gave whilst here. The last speech he gave before he had a knife in his head, and another within his chest. If it wasn't for his skill he would've died. Using a strange twisting technique to move the location of his heart was the only thing that saved him. But, he did get his revenge of that man known as Cappadonna. Killing him with this body and also his favorite student, Stede Jr. Those weren't the only people that Derous had taken out though. He has been doing things ever sense he got back into this body.
"Old Man you alright?" The Boy would ask as the elevator would stop.
"Why wouldn't I be, brat?" Derous would ask as he began to walk off of the elevator. They weren't on level Six, but level four. They needed to walk through this level and reach the next elevator. It was hot on this level. This was the level that Derous had been imprisoned on.
"Cause I asked like a billion questions on the elevator. Usually you'll tell me to shut up, but you didn't. Sooo that is why you aren't alright? Are you afraid or something? Aren't Cp agents supposed to be tough? Is it because it is hot on this level? Cause it really is. Oh! I know! You are becoming too old for this? Is that it? You are too old now?" The Boy wouldn't stop his questions, it was as if he wanted a rise out of Derous.
"Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Boy." Derous would say as they would reach the next elevator. Today all prisoners were kept in their cells, so that a walk through could be done without problem. Tomorrow they will be allowed to have business as usual and another walk through will be done.
"Oh, wow. Cussing at a child, wouldn't Ca-" The boy wouldn't finish his sentence as Derous would cover his mouth with his good hand.
"You know that is against the rules to say her name, relax. You can talk when we get to the level we need to check out first." Derous would say to him, serious. He would then remove his hand and they would proceed to get onto the next elevator. There would be silence as they'd be lowered down to the Sixth level. The level of Impel down that was similar to CP9. Both kept secret from the public for many reasons. They would reach the floor and the door to the elevator would open.
"ooooh! This place gives me the chills! Can't you feel that pressure, Old Man?!" The Boy would ask as he would jump out of the elevator and look around. He could feel the eyes of others on him.
"Stay on the elevator. " Derous would say as he would push the boy back onto the Elevator. This was a dangerous place full of people set for execution or to be erased from history. the boy had potential to be strong but he couldn't tussle with anyone down here. Honestly speaking. Even Derous would have to go 100% if he had to fight individuals from this place. He would begin to walk toward the spot that he was killed at. He'd kneel down, the post being eight feet from the cell in front of it, and move a rock from the ground, it being the size of a baseball. He'd reach into the small hole and pull out a key. For a few seconds he would look at it before place it into his front pocket. From behind, or even the side, you wouldn't be able to see what Derous was doing due to his large cloak. But, if you were looking forward, from the cell, at him you'd see the key. He'd place the rock back into the ground and stand to his feet. If anyone walked behind or near him, he'd not take the key.
"I should've made you suffer instead of killing you, Cappadonna." Derous would say out loud not caring who heard what he had said. Derous remembers him lying in this spot bleeding out sure that he was going to die. The other prisoners, at that time, cursing at him for not being able to free them before dying. He got all into this mess because of Asher Kringle. Derous was known to always manipulate people but never had he been manipulated, until he spoke with Asher. That man causing Derous to lose everything. He wasn't the only one though, as he still had others he needed to kill. As Asher wasn't the only person to blame for the failure that Derous had been through.
