367 words tags a line of notes here | Her arm and body were bandaged, though only the wrist would be showing, the wounds upon her face having slowly faded over the four week recovery from her previous mission. Due to this recovery thanks to Leonidas and Coniko transporting her to the hospital, she had time to think. Deciding that for now she would take a chance to go out on her own. Melissa had left a single note with her friends, letting them know she was heading out to sea for a bit to clear her head. When she returned to herself, she would hunt them down and let them know what she was planning on doing next. She adored her brothers, but right now Melissa needed time for her. It had been by chance, a drunken mistake that a man had let spill a secret of the pirate world. Melissa had set sail, she wanted to see it for herself, upon an island hidden in the blue, in her little row boat she would find it. The map she had "borrowed" from the pirates had the directions upon it. The Pirate Parade. Upon arriving at the island, Melissa drank in the air, it was rejuvenating. It felt beautiful and well...like she belonged. People had misconceptions of pirates, not all were like the cannibals. Not all were rapists, murderers and thieves. Some simply hated the government much like...much like That man. Some were simply doing it to get by and some....some simply liked roaming the seas. Melissa fit in to none of these categories. She wasn't a fan of the marines though, they had messed her about in life, and after speaking with Leonidas she grew to dislike them more. Yet she had no proper beef with them. As she walked around the island, which was mainly one giant mother fucking harbour. She would look in awe at the beautiful ships that littered the area. Stalls had been set up, pirates selling wares that they had stolen or aquired. The streets bustled with pirates. In all shape and form. A smile lit up the females face. Moving from stall to stall, listening to stories....she really did feel like herself again. . |
