- Task:
Task Name: The Influence of the Yonko
Tier: 3
Location: Universal
Crew or Personal:
Description: It's no secret the once vapid waters of the Four Blues have become lively and churn with activity of ships who have tasted the sea of the New World. It's as if everything has been moving in fast motion as of lately and not only that, but crime rates have sprung to an all time high in some areas. Reason being due to one Yonko known only as the King of the Sea. His real name remains a mystery to those in the Four Blues, but his unique moniker is enough to strike fear in the hearts of many sailors of all affiliations. He himself has no interest in looting and destroying small towns where strong people aren't, but these fishmen from his crew harbor said intentions and they aren't pushovers. Fishmen and Mermen of all shapes and sizes harboring not only killer skill, but large numbers.
They'll raid the town you initiate this task in and by Post No.6 they'll have the town set ablaze. Depending on your affiliation and maybe even Race, you can work along side the Fishmen or perhaps you will fight against them.

The sun blazed brightly over head, with not a single cloud overhead blocking its rays. Radiant light and scorching heat were the result of these clear skies and today Alphie was on ship duty. Along with a few other Marines, Alphie was stationed on the ship while the main force went out into the town to carry out the mission. It was a simple task of establishing relations with the people of this island since it wasn't too much of a popular hub, but as always the World Government's greed drove the Marines to the furthest corners of the worlds in search of whatever it was they wanted. Peace they always said it was, but Alphie always figured they had more corrupt goals. World domination under the veil of peace or some other aim that later lead to a deranged dystopian society when it all went South.
The Marine chuckle through lips pursed with a few pieces of his disassembled pistol safely in between them. He was lucky to come across an antique shop on the last island his company was stationed on and in said antique shop they were unknowingly selling a dial. They were very rare in the Four Blues, but with the shop keepers ignorance, Alphie got the thing for a steal. Working the dial's body into the grip of his pistol, he fastened the head of the pistol back together. With the head overlapping the dial, Alphie took the pieces from between his lips and screwed them into Curtail to secure the pistol together nice and tight as it was before. With no notable modification done to the weapon on the outside, just by lifting it, Alphie could feel the slight weapon difference.
Testing the product, Alphie aimed the gun outwards towards the ocean. It was nothing but empty space so the flames or bullet wouldn't harm anything or anyone. Squeezing the trigger and pulling the hammer back, the bullet fired, but when the flames spewed out they leaked from a small opening in the side of the gun as well as out the mouth of the gun. "Careful what you're doing Basa! What are you going to tell the Captain if you burn the ship down?!" Alphie waved a hand dismissing the words of the other Ensigns and sat back down going back to work on the Curtail. Disassembling it once more, he found that he had forgotten to put a pin in place. Reassembling the gun, he then popped the pin in place and got a reassuring click when the gun was secured together. Tugging on the Curtail from opposite ends, he found the weapon didn't budge in the sense that there were gaps in the gun again. "Alright watch this time." He called out to the other Ensigns that were already watching curiously. A few whispers were exchanged and a few head shakes were given to Alphie for his persistence with such a hazardous contraption. "What's wrong with a simple gun, my God." "Just shut up and watch."
That said with his weapon aimed into open space again, he pulled the trigger with his index and the hammer with his thumb simultaneously resulting in both a bullet being shot and a gout of powerful flames erupting out the barrel of the pistol. The kickback was stronger that usual with the initial production of the flames, or at least Alphie thought so as he lost his footing when he shot the gun. Creaking and rocking from the ship said it was something else however. "There's a pirate ship coming from the East! It looks like Fishmen are on board!" The splash of a cannonball near the ship rocked the vessel once more and the Ensigns began to mobilize. "Someone go alert the Captains!" Alphie called out as the Ensigns ran about on the ship. Alphie ran to the ships equipment storage and retrieved Same-kiri Bocho along with Īzasu. The great sword strapped to his back and the wakizashi on his hip opposite of Curtail, he watched as the Ensigns scrambled to their stations loading the cannons.
Unsure if someone ran for the Captains or not, he took it upon himself just in case and headed into the town in a rush. He wasn't in the typical Marine Ensign uniform. What he wore gave him the look of an officer if anything. A black jacket with the sleeves rolled up, black gloves, a white button up and a black tie underneath, then black pants and high boots up to his calves. Along with the weapons he had on him, he surely looked like he ranked higher than Ensign to those he sprinted by.
