With her distraction, combined with the arrival of the secondary marine, the one whom wielded the gun had successfully removed the shark man from the combat, thanks to her fruit distraction, the other marine whom had been captured had gained the ability to relieve himself of his ailment, in this case the arm and well complete brain of the fishman whom had grasped him before. Melissa would smile as she watched, She had nothing against the marines, in fact those whom could fight interested her. It was roughly at the point that Melissa's eyes would widen, her movement would happen as quick as she could, pushing herself towards the two marines. Why? an array of fishmen, vast in quantity would soon surround them. As she skidded to a halt in front of the marine duo, she would turn, her cloak flapping behind her softly.
From this angle she would bite her lip, witnessing Leparo at a distance swinging his sword, the six armed fishman simply goading him while a handful of others tried to halt him. "No...i need, i need to get to him" the female would utter. Her hands clenched as she relaxed her mouth, taking a deep breath she would look to both marines. "Y'all are tough, cover me if ya can" she would say, one foot in front of the other, charging towards the fishman whom blocked her path. They laughed, why wouldn't they, the majority of them were bigger than her, sturdier and built well. She was petite, smaller than your average human in this era, the laughing of the fishmen would not put her off though. Even when they pointed their weapons at her. Her eyes filled with determination, then she stopped. Skidding a single meter from the blades. Why?
Not the smell of burning flesh? not the smell of burning lives? no the reek of death did not hinder her, not like it did the marine behind her, but the resounding echo of bullets did. The constant barking of bullets had erupted before she could jump, thankfully or she may have found herself looking more cheese like than she ever wanted to. Screams from fishman echoed, some of the idiots on the front line even looked away to see the commotion. It was when the six armed fishmen, joined with his companions were thrown through the building that Melissa made her move, with the distraction granted via these marines, the sprite young girl would jump, her movement, her dexterity and balance, all enhanced to the next level.
You know some fishmen werent very bright, the young girl was using the bodies of the fishmen as if they were a road, she moved without hinderance over the bodies, even avoiding the array of weapons that would be thrust in her way. Though what made the fishmen even thicker, was when they would lop off one anothers heads, for some reason, these fishman all resembled goldfish....dumb ass little fish trying to halt the movement of the girl, alas they were just a tad to slow. She was getting closer, closer to the marine whom now stood beside Leparo, closer to the man whom she now feared for, perhaps his blindness would make him calmer, would make him smarter, and would force him to think about what he was about to do. She was mere meters away.
A powerful force pulled her back, someone had grasped the cape, she fell backwards, though her cat like reflexes seemed to kick in, allowing her to twist in mid air and strike her powerful tiny fist in to the fishmans face, her foot landed upon the earth, and soon the female swerved, dove in between fishmen as weapons came at her, she would feel metal slicing in to her arms, in to her waist. Yet her movement and dexterity seemed to keep her out of proper harm, she would strike, knocking out fishmen after fishmen, it would seem the two marines were continuing their job, for whenever things looked bleak, a couple of bullets would open space for the female. Impressed with their shooting she would push on.
Eventually breaking free from the much smaller ring, naturally some of the fishmen would have charged towards the two remaining in the centre of the ring, the two marines whom Melissa had been forced to leave. But her priority was the man whom held her heart. Skidding to a halt, Melissa would look to the marines whom had helped her clear the distance, and the female whom had easily dispatched the screaming squid. Her arms flung across Leparo in an instance yet she remained looking, her eyes passing over the three new marines, "Thank you all" she would say. Releasing Leparo, Melissa would turn to the captain, whom watched as the other two continued their shooting. her eyes now passed upon the fishmen, bodies mowed down by bullets, yet not all would find their target, some rose from the wounds, some didn't even feel hindered.
The female would run back the way she came, towards the hoard. Her fists for now belonged to the marines, her ears opened, for orders, her fists connected with fishman after fishmen as the raging battle continued. The end was near, the heat from the flames could now be felt, if this did not end soon, the marines, the fishmen and the two strangers would burn.
