Never in a thousand years did Lee think he'd witness some sort of twisted family reunion today. Hell, he didn't exactly expect to do anything other than train today, however with the inevitable showdown between Tai and the Fisherman, he didn't do anything other than sit around and wait all day. Not that he minded having a day off, and especially if it meant getting some sort of knowledge on fishmen.
He wasn't able to study Captain Illan very much. They never really fought at the same time. Actually, in the years he spent on that ship, he didn't see the Captain fight a single time, but he heard a a good number of stories about him. If half of them were true, Lee had a lot to learn about fishmen. Of course he could see Tai being uncomfortable with how he worded it. However, if a fishman hunter saw a fishman, he'd probably skip right to the part where he kills him. Not sit there and toy with him.
The winged girl was quick to step in when Tai got knocked back, and Lee was quick to follow. Well, not so much follow, as the girl moved with grace and speed unlike any he'd seen. She moved like a blur, and he was astonished by this. How did she do that? However, she was caught off guard by the fishman, and he smacked her hard with the back of his hand. Lee grit his teeth at the sight.
Pirates were pirates. You couldn't expect them to keep a code of honor, but a marine, hitting a girl with a cheap shot like that, it was despicable. Tai's brother or not, in Lee's eyes, the fisherman had given the authorization to use lethal force. So, Lee drew his No Dachi, with angry in his stomach that he kept hidden deep inside. His face was calm and collected as he stepped forward.
"A Marine without honor, color me officially surprised." Lee said, only half joking. He lunged forward, thrashing the tip of his blade in a circular pattern in front of him, only a short distance away from the man. At the tip of his blade a hardly visible ring of super heated air was forming, and exploded forward as Lee thrust his blade. It slammed into the Fisherman's stomach, hopefully giving his new allies a moment to seal the deal.
