Dark clouds loomed in the sky above the Briss Kingdom, as if mourning the great loss of life that had occurred on the island not long ago. The sky looked as if it were full to burst with moisture, but the rain had not yet set in. Many buildings lay in rubble after the prior invasion, and the evacuation had left the streets mostly empty. After all the chaos that had ensued in the recent fish men attacks, the Heaven's Gear pirates had finally procured themselves a ship capable of braving the waters of the Grand Line. However, there was one major problem stopping them from doing so; their lack of a crew member with any skill in navigating and sailing such a large vessel. So, despite a large majority of the town having evacuated, Sever was out with his captain in search of someone capable of sailing their ship. The town was mostly deserted, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It just meant that most of those who had stayed were hardy enough not to be swayed by even an invasion of fish men, and those were the type of individuals they required for their crew.

Sever was mostly recovered from the crew's run in with the fish men, but his ribs still ached when he moved the wrong way, and he hoped that the issue would right itself soon. Still, he kept up with the captain and kept an eye out for anyone about who might know where to find a man capable of sailing a ship. "We should probably head to the shipyard. I imagine if there's anyone left in town capable of steering our ship, that he'll be somewhere around there." Sever said in a cold monotone, rather irritated that they were unable to leave this city with their ship until they found someone to sail it for them. He had grown increasingly tired with the kingdom during their stay, and as of yet he hadn't been able to establish any avenues of business or profit due to the destruction caused by the fish men. Sever just wanted to find someone to sail their ship, and he thought that it would be better to begin their search with a logical starting point rather than just randomly searching the city.

"Looks like it's about to storm soon..."

Linedwell muttered these words to himself as he continued to walk down the streets that were horribly paved streets. It seemed as though they'd been walking for hours, but in reality it couldn't have been that long. Linedwell chalked this loss of time to the fact he hated being in this place. Any amount of time in this Kingdom felt like far too long. At the moment, both Sever and Linedwell were looking for a Navigator for their ship that had recently been constructed. Though a ship was something they needed for their future trip to the Grand Line, in their haste they forgot the fact that nobody currently in their crew held the abilities to actually pilot a ship as grand as the one they'd been able to finance. Linedwell had to admit he hadn't exactly thought of this fact, as during his time as a Marine he'd never actually had to worry about who would pilot their ship - it was more of a "lets go here" type of deal, and off they went. Being a captain held more responsibilities that he'd initially thought it would, but it wasn't as if he lacked the capabilities to rise to the challenge.

Linedwell nodded a bit as Sever began to discuss where they should head in order to find a potential Navigator. The idea made sense, as most people who held the capabilities to pilot a ship would likely be found at the shipyard, where multiple ships could be located. The closer they walked to the shipyard, the more Linedwell could hear the sounds of the sea as well as the fact that a large amount of people seemed to be working at the moment. Linedwell found himself smiling slightly as he could feel they'd finally get the missing piece they needed to move their ambitions forward.

As the two men approached the shipyard, Sever was pleasantly surprised to see that many of the workers in the area had stayed despite the recent destruction. He reasoned that it was likely due to the rampant poverty in the area and the inability for the citizens to make a living anywhere else. Fear of change was a powerful thing, and from what he understood the people of Briss were highly xenophobic and unwilling to work with other cultures. It wasn't hard to believe that it had caused these people to continue their lives here rather than trying to move somewhere else, and it was lucky for them as it meant there would be more men to choose from when it came to their choice of navigator. There was a large amount of people working right now, and while many of them probably wouldn't be too keen on being bothered on the job, he felt that at least one of them would be intelligent enough to see that falling in with them would grant far greater profit than just wasting away in the Briss Kingdom.

Sever looked over to Linedwell, wondering what his thoughts on the situation were. He was the captain after all, and it was his decision who would join the crew in the end regardless of Sever's thoughts. "So, what's the plan, Captain?" Sever asked, having some ideas, but not entirely sure how to go about approaching these sea weathered old men. Even though he'd run a few businesses of his own in the past, he always despised the hiring process, and it was even more difficult when dealing with an unfamiliar demographic. He was far more used to dealing with sleazy punks and musclebound thugs in his line of work, and he decided he would allow his captain to show his stuff when it came to recruiting their navigator.

The shipyard of Briss Kingdom was always an area that appeared to be constantly filled to the brim with civilians from all walks of life, but with the incoming storm many of the crowds were beginning to clear as people began to depart. With so many crowds clearing it made the search for a Shipwright even easier, as those who worked the shipyard for a living wouldn't be run off from a bit of rain and wind. As Linedwell's eyes continued to scan the area he'd just noticed that Sever had thrown a question in his direction.

Yet, before he could reply the sounds of screams and commotion distracted him. Looking in the direction of the scene, it seemed that a fisherman had been pulled into the water by his potential catch, and now people were crowding around and prepping to mount a rescue. Linedwell was a bit surprised that anyone from this kingdom would bother helping one another - after all, a majority of the experiences that Linedwell had in this kingdom when it came to civilians interacting with one another is that they'd do whatever was necessary to come out on top. Linedwell wondered if he'd simply misread these people or if the person they were attempting to save simply meant this much to them. Whatever the case, the rescue that was about to be mounted was made pointless as the Fisherman shot upwards out of the water; a large shark being held in a headlock under his left arm as he slowly descended downwards. After landing gracefully on the dock, the Fisherman delivered a swift punch to the side of the shark and rendered it unconscious. Linedwell stood dead in his tracks; stunned as he watched the events unfold. Once the roar of cheer and applause that soon followed the actions of the Fisherman, Linedwell had now made up his mind.

"We've found our navigator, Sever."
