Spoiler:

Briss Kingdom had been pulling itself together. Linnea now knew better than letting herself linger one on place for too long, even if that place offered an endless supply of different experiences, she'd still be limiting herself too much for comfort. She knew now that she couldn't achieve a proper growth even in a place like Karate Island where the people changed on a daily basis... Training in Karate Island didn't make her strong enough to stand a chance against the Pirate Raziel who was more than capable of making short work of her. She needed wordly experience, whereas training was little more than a foundation; she should have learned that upon leaving Amazon Lily, but her knowledge of Haki and having been raised in the Grand Line gave her an edge over most of teh riff raff she encounered, but some foes were on a completely different level.

There was only so much stronger she could get before travelling somewhere else, to experience new things, but even for that she had yet to find herself ready. Thus Linnea strolled around the rebuilt city, sticking mainly to the alleys to avoid being recognized by a random Marine... She had seen very little of Briss Kingdom given how she was mostly concerned with fighting the fishmen menace instead of touring the island, and so this choice of destination was picked with that goal in mind. To rectify the mistake from her last time here, this time she would see everything this Island had to offer...

That was her plan anyways, but little did she know that someone else had other plans. Linnea was far from South Blue's most wanted Pirate, but she was famous enough to find her face stamped on some alleys, though not famous enough for most to recognize her on sight. Hopefully Linnea would be a lot stronger by the time she reached the point when common people would recognize her on sight...

She started off by activating her Kenbu Haki, travelling through alleyways made her a far more obvious target for bounty hunters, even if she might avoid the Marines' attention that way. Not many people in the south Blue were capable of taking her down outside a sneak attack and by keeping an eye on her immediate surroundings at the very least, she might reduce that possibility. After all, how many snipers would be able to take someone down in a narrow alley from further than forty meters away? Even for Linnea, getting a proper angle would be hard... Feeling safer once she was capable of picking up potential threats from afar, the girl stepped into an ill frequented tavern. For once, her unshakable calm seemed to deter roughnecks from getting pushy with her, or perhaps they knew who she was? Regardless, she ordered a mug of beer at the bar before taking her place in a discreet corner, where aside from the occasional lustful glance, nobody gave her that much attention.

At this time of the day, the tavern was more quiet than anything she might expect from the other patrons and for the most part she managed to enjoy her drink in peace... But then, somebody had other ideas. Though she remained focused on her beer absently taking in her surroundings, Linnea did see a big looking fellow walk up to her table, but not seeing any weapon or anything on him, she was pretty confident he wasn't there to attack her. She turned around once the guy got close, and her eyes widened as she slammed a piece of paper down on the table: A bounty poster?! Immediately narrowing her eyes at the menace, she instantly reached for her bow, only to be stopped by a reassuring smile and open palms:

"Whoa, easy there...! I'm not here to attack you!", the guy reassured, pointing to the chair in front of her and asking for permission, to which Linnea nodded.

As the guy sat down and started explaining himself, it appeared that his intentions were completely opposite from what a bounty poster might suggest. He had apparently been using those in order to safely recruit someone for a dirty job in a way that wouldn't draw attention towards his influential employer. Apparently they wanted someone to intercept a shipment contraining some very valuable artifacts retrieved by a small group of mercenaries... Sounded like easy money as far as Linnea was concerned. Far too easy, but still money nonetheless.

One million Beli to intercept those guys huh? Even if Linnea was too suspicious as to how easy they'd be paying her, she was still greedy enough to accept it, even if this meant she had to be careful. According to her employer's middle man, the guys would be arriving from the forest after looting said treasure, arriving at the city through the entrance closest to their destination. Simply put, this would be a very basic mission: Intercept the mercenary crew before they reached the city, then carry their cargo back to her employer. With everything settled, Linnea finished her beer with one good chug, left some Beli on her table, and headed out. This guy had given her quite a good bit of information, and soon enough the last piece of the puzzle perched itself on her shoulder:

"Jyooo~!", squaked Goku, coming back from his exploration and earning himself some head petting from the archer.

Though he couldn't speak the human tongue, Sengoku was an incredibly smart bird, to the point that Linnea believed he could understand most of the words she spoke, which so far it truly appeared to be true. For all his limitations, he served as an excellent scout who was ver much capable of alerting Linnea to an enemies presence long before they entered her Kenbunshoku range. She asked him to look around the assigned area of the jungle while she took her position atop a roof opposite to that entrance to the city. It didn't look very frequented, giving Lin all the freedom she could ever want in moving around and taking her chosen sniper's nest. Since they'd all be coming from the woods, there wasn't much of a point in her strongest Kenbunshoku since her arrows would just end up hitting obstacles.

Instead, she relied on her plan with Sengoku, leaving the treasure hungry bird to pick up the enemies and announcing their presence with its odd, unmistakable call. She took four arrows and lined them up, taking aim at the only mercenaries not carrying the heavy treasure chest (The remaining ones would be sitting ducks unless they let it go). And thus, four arrows soon flew off simultaneously, taking out the mercenary boss and three of his minions with clean shots to the chest while the other let go of their cargo and scurried off into cover.

Linnea then drew two arrows, keeping an eye on the mercs hidden behind cover. They both had rifles, but they had no real idea where the shooter was, while Linnea herself could perfectly see everything. The first guy popped its head out to take a peek, and was intercepted with an arrow to the head. Linnea would have refrained from killing but these guys were hardly saints and this one didn't exactly make it easy for her. The last one scurried off in fear, with both his leader defeated and his mission failed, there wasn't any point in throwing away his life...

Well, this was easy. Whoever said knowledge is power was right on the money, since there's no weapon quite as powerful as knowing exactly where your enemies are where they have no idea of where you are. It allowed her to land her powerful sneak attack and take down the bulk of her foes without much trouble, and as the last one fled in desperation at what appeared to be a group of snipers taking them all down, Linnea was free to climb down, and take the treasure back to her employer, at the mansion where she'd been requested to deliver it. She was still not really sure whether to trust these guys, so she'd be on her toes for the most part.

Thus she dragged the treasure back to employers home, and her eyes instantly glimmered as she was surrounded with the kind of luxury and opulence she could only dream of... So this is how the wealthy people lived? Wow... They even lived better than the Empress of Amazon Lily, and Linnea was completely bewildered as the large burly man she met at the tavern carried the treasure for her and led her through the various halls of the mansion. The guy looked pretty strong, holding that incredibly heavy chest under his arm as if it were a simple sack of potatoes... Soon, they came upon a large room adorned with colums and the like, where a finely dressed man sat at his desk, surrounded by five armed underlings. Among these, only two held rifles, the other three wielded swords.

"Excellent work my dear Linnea.", praised the wealthy man under the archer's sharp, scrutinizing gaze... 1 millon Beli for something this simple was too good to be true.

"Thank you...", she answered with a soft smile, and asking innocently, "But, I was promised a wager for this job..."

Linnea wasn't as dumb or clueless as her shy and innocent look might suggest. All this time she was thoroughly scanning this man's emotions through his aura, and she had nothing but contempt for her, even after this job. That in itself didn't promise anything good. She had a weaker version of her Haki best suited to this small envoiroment and hung close a column, and the moment her employer's aura turned hostile, she was ready:

"About that... I feel like I should reward you by clearing your bounty.", with a simple hand gesture, all the men slowly started moving towards her except the gun wielding ones. Meanwhile he did nothing but laugh triumphantly while Linnea took cover behind the pillar, "Don't be a poor sport miss, we won't kill you if you stay put."

There was no point in saying anything... These men didn't know about her Haki and thus she easily saw them all getting into position to take her down, surrounding the pillar she was hiding behind. They couldn't see her grabbing her bow, or the five arrows in her hand. And before any of them could notice, she suddenly popped out from her crouched position and fired, taking only a split second to adjust her aim from what she saw earlier. Two arrows flew towards the rifle guards, another two towards the sword wielding guards, and the last one towards the stronger bodyguard's heart. Naturally, the only one of them able to dodge the arrows was the one with the strongest aura and visibly the strongest in the room: The bodyguard. He reacted promptly and shifted his body aside, but what he had no way of knowing was that he wasn't the real target of that arrow.

Linnea had shot expecting one of two things: The man to get shot in the heart, or the man getting out of the way and letting arrow keep going, until it found its way onto the eye of the real target... Her unsuspecting employer was thus caught by an arrow he couldn't even see being fired.

He was the only one to be killed by this shot, as intended by Linnea who aimed to behead the snake as she always did. The other two were unable to dodge the arrows and fell down, crippled by blood loss and unable to move any further. One of the riflemen still managed to barely get off a shot, which Lin was unable to completely dodge and wound up taking a flesh wound to her arm. But that wasn't even the biggest of her concerns:

"YOU BITCH!!", roared the enraged bodyguard, charging at full speed...

This was bad... Linnea started moving back immediately after letting her arrows loose but this guy was quite a good bit faster than her.

She dashed back as she saw his body committing to the sword strike, but even that wasn't enough... Her dashing, her turning her body into the blow to reduce damage, coating her torso with Haki as the blade made contact. She was still flung a good distance from the sheer impact, smashing into a column, yet not before she managed to let loose an arrow without even thinking. Drawing her arrow as fast as she could and also coating it with Haki, she shot it at the enemy's knee mid flight (Viper's bite), instantly dopping him down as she crashed into the stone wall, greatly hurting her uncoated limbs and head.

The two warriors had wounded each other significantly, even if Linnea protected most of her vital organs, the sheer impact still hurt her, bruising her arms, legs and the back of her head. Gritting her teeth, she mustered up the willpower to get up from the attack, only to be welcomed by a warning signal. The enemy who she had just crippled took aim and fired a bullet at her own leg in retaliation, and even if she moved aside it still grazed her thigh, momentarily causing her to lose balance.

"Tch... This was bad..."

She rolled behind the nearest collumn as the enemy took aim again, narrowly avoiding his follow up shot... With this wound she wouldn't be able to run very fast... Her battle dress was pretty mangled up too, but fortunately, the other henchman had seemingly lost his spirit at seeing his boss being killed. As the Bodyguard stood up despite his crippling injury (she had pretty much obliterated his knee with her Haki infused arrow), she knew she was dealing with some kind of monster. He slowly trudged his way to her, inspiring his ally to make a run for his fallen ally to grab his gun. Ranged weapons were proving far more effective than swords, but no way Linnea would let that happen. Even crouched down and behind cover, she antecipated the weakling's movement and let loose a single arrow aimed a nearby colunm, allowing it to ricochet off it perfectly and intercept the guy with a shot to the chest... She sighed in relief as the new menace was quashed - confident in her success even before the arrow struck but there was no time to rest. If she momentarily distracted the bodyguard, that would be her opening...

A squishy sound echoed towards the room as the unexpected arrow caught both the target and the other guy off guard, distracting them completely and making the big bodyguard turn to his ally as the pain filled scream reached his ears. But when that happened, the Amazon huntress was aready waiting for the perfect opportunity... Though she was starting to feel the strain from this short yet stenuous battle, she knew she had to act now or the guy's bullets would outspeed her arrows with her next attempt. Without a second thought, she popped out of cover and let loose a single Drill Shot that pierced clearly through his gun wielding shoulder. Unable to move and supposedly unable to move his arm, Linnea considered this battle over. She had beheaded the snake giving the orders and had little to fear from its flailing body...

Or so she thought... But this guy was a complete monster: Even with a massive hole through its shoulder, it was still trying to aim his revolver. Even with a hole through its knee, it was still standing and trudging her way.

"Unforgivable...", he spoke with a strained voice, desperately trying to lift his arm enough so his gun pointed at Linnea who by now knew well enough to keep her distance from his sword, "... Defenitely... Kill you..."

Wasting not a single moment further, Linnea's cold gaze turned truly merciless. With a swift motion, she drew and unleashed four arrows at the guy's chest. Any normal human would be downed from such an attack, he looked like a bull after a the bullfighter got to him, yet he reacted with nothing more than a grunt and momentarily lowering his gun, before trying to raise it again

"Tch... Too persistant...", spoke the archer as her annoyance and anger finally outweighted her calm kindness, and she shot a single arrow at the guy's eye, finally killing him.

She actually looked at him for a good few moments just to see if he'd stand up again, but alas that didn't happen, and she was able to sigh and lean against the wall. Ripping off fabric from her slain enemies' clothes, she badaged her bleeding wounds, before scavenging some arrows. This guy was insanely wealthy, but from what she understood he was also insanely influent. Even if he was a crooked little turd, killing him made her no longer welcome in Briss Kingdom. Thus, Linnea wasted no time looting both her employer's home and his minions' dead bodies for gold, eventually filling her pockets with his gold... She couldn't take as much money as he was promised at the start of all this, but she did loot quite a good bit, and finally used a tree by the window to escape the house unnoticed. Where was Mea?! She needed a doctor to patch up these injuries...
