It was a quiet night in Lvneel… bull. There was no such thing. Not near this place, not in the streets and for a damn certainty not at near Reinaka. It was almost two when the last patron stumbled through a set of double doors and right past them without a second glance. Heaving herself a sigh of relief, Reinake leaned against her brother's shoulder, her arm rested over his neck, head drooping and sending a thick fall of dark black hair forward over knotted eyebrows and the world’s largest yawn. It had been one of those evenings and she was tired. Not to much as in the kind where he wanted to sleep, but rather the kind of tired where he only wanted to stay still for longer than three minutes, have a moment to collect his thoughts and consider something else other than the next order. But as much as it exhausted her, it was also oddly satisfying and it was the overriding feeling of contentment that made her straighten up and reach for the younger boys shoulder. And it was, of course, thanks to him that she knew exactly where the buck stopped.
“It's really brave what you're doing, kid.” His head jerked in her direction. He had been staring off into space whilst he absently wiped the same spot over and over again and after glancing up at the dark-haired, dark-eyed girl who looked a little bit too pretty for him to stare directly at (even when she scowled) shook his head. “I'm not brave. It's you guys who are fighting this shit. I was only too scared not to fight back.” And judging by the boy's expression, she knew exactly what he was about to say because she forestalled the words coming out of his open mouth. “It wasn't your fault. You've already told that that they were forcing you to do this stuff. Your family is safe becuase of you and that's pretty damn brave in my book.”
Samael literally could not do much more than laugh, a rich, husky sound that was delighted and amused, the lean man throwing another cloth in the direction of his sister, who frowned but grabbed it out of the air and pressed it onto her already bandaged leg, shouting promises of retribution for this most recent act of savagery. His chuckles followed her the whole way whilst he reached into his jacket, worn red cloth that fit snugly over a long sleeved white cotton vest. Paired with low slung black slacks and you basically had yourself a vision of a pirate if you ever saw one.
"I still can't believe you ate that damned fruit, Rei. I hope you know what you've lost, girl. I've never wanted one of those things. How in the hell can I be a pirate that can't swim. I mean, sure they come with nifty perks but I love the sea too much to betray her like that. You'd had best know what you doin'."
