The night had been spectacular one for the young Belmonte. After his return from the thieves guild hideout and discovered the next island he needed to go to in order to find his son, he'd spent the evening parting at the Cheers Cabin. By nights end there were only a few people left in the bar that weren't drunk and many slumped on the tables. Sebastian himself had managed to stagger back to his own room that he'd rented and was accompanied by one of the barmaids who'd taken a liking to him. By the time their evening excursion had ended, he'd all but passed out and in a stoned and drunken stupor. Unfortunately for him, his actions earlier on in the day had not been forgotten and the thieves guild had taken it upon themselves to make sure he paid the highest cost for his transgression - his life.

After the barkeep had escorted the last of the drunks to their homes or rooms, he'd locked up the bar and retired to his own room inside the bar. Unbeknownst to him the thieves had been waiting for this and immediately moved in to get inside the bar once they were sure all were retired for the night. Picking the lock had been easy as 6 thieves quietly entered the bar and made their made their way to the upstairs area, where the guests who'd rented rooms were housed. They searched each room, making it a point to be extremely quiet so that would not rouse anyone. Ironically, Sebastian snapped awake to relieve himself at the restroom and would step out his own room to get there. The thieves, slightly startled by the sudden emergence of the pirate froze in place and watch him emerge from the room. Simultaneously, the group and the pirate would meet eyes. "What's up gentlemen," Sebastian stated as he would continue to proceed to the restroom, unaware of who they actually were.

One of the thieves would toss his knife at Bastian only for it to miss and hit the doorway leading to the bathroom. Slightly startled by the sudden attack, Bastian looked back at the thieves then toward the knife at least three times before he put together what was going on. "Oh, its like that then," he growled angrily and turned to face the his assailants. "You think you could do what you did and get away with it," one of the thieves stated as he stepped forward, the obvious leader of the bunch. "I do a lot of things to a lot of people, gonna have to be more specific," Sebastian said as he chuckled under his breath. "Don't worry then, pirate, by the time its all finished you will remember exactly what you did," the lead thief, Moat, stated as he gave a signal for the thieves to move in. "Is that right? Show me then, pussy," Sebastian replied motioning for the thieves to come at him.

The invitation was received as one could have anticipated. The leader of thieves, Moat, signaled for the thieves to make their charge, but made a fatal mistake in that the hall wasn't wide enough to get a decent position. Sebastian stood stood in the center of the hall, thus preventing any from stepping around him to surround him. This meant that all of the opponents had to come at him directly up front, at best three lined up at once. However they all charged in a formation that reminded Bastian of the 5 dots on a dice. two stood charged first off to the side, while just behind the two was only a single thief. Behind was another two thieves aligned with the first two, with all but the middle thief brandishing knives.

Waiting for them to get into range, Bastian lazily dodged the first two swipes from the thieves in the front by simply stepping backward and delivered a straight punch with his left and right simultaneously at his first two assailants. The hit sent both of them thieves reeling backwards into  the last two thieves in this little charge formation they attempting. The middle thief took advantage of Sebastian compromising position by delivering a swift uppercut to his exposed chin. The hit wasn't a very heavy one, but it served to knock the pirate back a few steps. In addition to that , the hit had cause his head to ache a bit more due to him already being drunk. Seeing the temporary disoriented pirate trying to gain his composure, the middle thief continued to go in for the for another hit only to be meet by a front kick to his face.

The hit had knocked the thief backward, while the final two had begun to charge again after getting the first two thieves out of their way.  Their knives glinted in the moonlight coming in from the window behind Bastian as the swung and slashed wildly, while the groggy pirated evaded backwards. The moment his back was near the window, Sebastian made his move by catching the wrist of both of the thieves. Using their momentum against, he diverted their final thrust and turned them in on each other. The knives found its targets in the neck of their thieves causing a bit of blood to splatter on Sebastian. Before he had time to address the leader, after putting down the 5 grunts, Moat was already at a full run and tackled Bastian through the window.

The two plummeted to the ground below, being only 2 stories up, and hit the ground simultaneously. The fall had immediately knocked the wind out the pirate, slowing his recovering as Moat hurried to his feet and drew his sword. Not giving Sebastian a moments rest, he delivered a series a kicks to his body and face until Sebastian tripped him up. "Your gonna pay for what you have done to the guild, pirate, for today and what you did all those years ago," Moat said as he got to his feet and pointed his sword. Sebastian spat out a some blood and lazily looked toward his opponent and gave a mischievous grin, "Better women than you have tried, but your welcome to give it a go," he replied while wiping the blood away from his mouth.

There was hardly a moments pause between the two after Sebastian's statement, something the thief was likely growing tired of given his reaction. He rushed in as reckless as the previous thieves had done, but given Sebastian's current disposition he could hardly respond properly to such a clumsy attack. With little other choices but to evade backward, Sebastian's back literally hit the wall of the alleyway. Taking full advantage of this, Moat delivered a horizontal slash at the pirates neck. Off more instinct than actually noticing the attack, Bastian dropped down to the floor and delivered punch to thieves groan.

The hit caused him to duck forward and Bastian immediately followed up with a rising uppercut, similar to how he had hit Mach with yesterday. However, the hit was hardly as strong as the first time he'd done it. The thief fell back toward the wall on the opposite side of the alley. Taking full advantage of the counter, Bastian rushed in and caught the thief by the wrist that held his sword. He then began to hit Moat repeated in the face with elbows until blood had begun to flow from his nose and mouth. However, there was still fight left in the thief as he countered with a head but to Bastian's nose. The hit sent him a few steps backward and loosening his grip on the thief's wrist.

The counter from the thief had left a small opening where he could deliver a swift diagonal slash across Bastian's chest. The pain from the slash cause Bastian to fall backward yet again, and grit his teeth in pain. Moat, blood still pouring from Bastian's assault, chuckled as Bastian placed his right hand over his wound. "This is the end of the line for you, Belmonte, the world will be better off without you," he gloated as he raised his sword above his head. He had aimed to bring his weapon down so that he could stab the top of Sebastian's skull and kill him instantly.

Pushing away his pain as best he could and focusing enough to stop the bleeding, Bastian waited for the blade to begin its descent before he made his move. Bastian sidestepped at the last possible minute to Moat's left, just as the sword was about to connect. The sword had hit the ground with such force that a slight spark came from the tip as it collided with the stone ground. Sebastian countered with a swift roundhouse to the back of Moat's head with enough force for him to hit his forehead on the wall. The impact had caused the solid stone wall to crack from the force and the thief immediately slumped to the floor unconscious.

Rather than walk away from, Sebastian punished the thief for his late night attack in the only way he knew how. He slammed his foot on the back of the man's neck with such force that it snapped under the pressure, killing him immediately. He then picked up the dead body and tossed it into the garbage.

With the fighting done, Sebastian made his way back inside the bar. Luckily no one had awakened from the fighting outside of a few within the bar. Upon entering the bar Bastian was meet by the bar owner and explained the details to the man. Not wanting to bring in the marines into this issue, the bar keep and his staff tended to the beaten thieves and Moat. Such a thing, as they explained, would not be a good look for their establishment. For his trouble, they didn't charge Bastian for his stay since they had no clue it was all his fault anyway.

After being cleaned up, Bastian returned back to his room which was now empty since the barmaid had left after to the commotion. He collapsed on his bed, and almost immediately passed out into a deep sleep. "Next time, I'm just gonna start killing people from jump," he mumbled into his pillow as he dozed off.
