Linnea had regained control and full use of her Haki! Not only that, but she had improved it beyond what she had back when she was still in Amazon Lily. This was obviously an occasion worth celebrating, and better yet, worth testing. She had only achieved this measure of control during a training session, trying it on actual foes would be a wholly different challenge. In order to put her brand new skills to the test, the hunter had obviously devised the best possible method: Find enemies to battle. She wasn't normally one to go out looking for trouble of her own voilition, but by her own experience techniques and training sessions devised for battle were best honed in battle. More importantly, the kind of enemies she normally took on were far from being nice, pleasant people others liked having around. Normally, she only fought and killed those to whom killing came even more easily than it did to her...

For all her sweet and gentle nature, Linnea had been raised as a huntress, and like one who lived in harmony in nature, she respected every being she had to slay. She didn't simply kill for the fun of it. But if there were people around who did kill for sport, then their lives was worth as much as they valued it, which was very little...

She wandered around town, visiting shops and markets, engaging in casual exchanges and chatter with the merchants and average citizens, certain there somewhere in Karate Island there would be pirates and bandits up no good. There always were. Yet even as she did so, she couldn't help but glance up at the sky: Up in the distance, a storm was brewing... A really bad storm. But deep down, it didn't bother her. This storm, this whole adverse envoiroment, it would provide an even better test to her newly recovered abilities. During her afternoon of poking around, she naturally learned something interesting. While she was on that island training her Haki and hanging out with Alice, a Pirate Crew named "Black Sand" had attacked the Village she was staying in. They didn't do much more than rob a couple of stores given how there weren't that many of them, but judging by what the people heard, they had done the same all through the island. Almost like they wanted to claim it for themselves. Hell they even littered their Jolly Roger around the whole place.

All in all, Linnea the huntress now had a proper target to go after, and with that she started planning. Late in the afternoon, the sky was already almost completely dark. The sun hadn't yet set, but the clouds were just that thick... She went back to her inn to eat a rice based dinner, slip on her black hooded ranger's outfit, and promptly grabbed her bow and newly refilled bow and quiver. Tonight, she'd be using her Kenbunshoku no Haki to hunt, but instead of animals, she would be hunting humans. Granted, this didn't necessarily mean she was going to kill them all, but certainly not all of them would surivive... Determined to get rid of this menace, She stepped out into the rain, pulling her hood over her hair and activating her Observation Haki

She eventually came across something suspicious... It looked like a damaged trail where many people had been coming through, back and forth. If they had been attacking several places at once, they must have made plenty of expeditions, part of those must have shared the same trails. Linnea crouched, paying attention to that trail with her Haki, and then her eyes once she got close enough. Soon, she came across her goal: A camp filled with tents and humans sleeping within. There were a few pirates outside the tents, standing guard, and Linnea remained hidden from roughly 20 meters away, a normally short distance but more than enough under this storm. Judging by the size of their auras, two of them were much stronger than the others, under a total of seven Pirates... One of the strongest ones was wondering outside together with two weaker ones, prowling their camp...

Looking for an opportunity to take down at least two of them with one attack, she stood there, crouching stealthily, paying attention to the aura, waiting until two foes were lined up. With an arrow loaded, she had her eyes firmly set on the stronger lookout, and after a good half hour, he lined himself up with a weaker one. Pulling on the string, she readied a shot:

"Got you...", she whispered, letting loose an arrow and flicking it downwards, unleashing a Drill Shot

The spinning arrow suddely pierced through the unexpecting pirates, coming from a low angle. Hell, it did more than pierce: The Weaker pirate was hit first, completely losing his knee due to the drilling effect of the arrow, and the stronger one lost his lung, bleeding out in mere seconds. The arrow then went on to leave a massive gaping hole through the other trees in its path before vanishing into the dark sky.

"SNIPER!!", the last suriving lookout yelled

The pirates were all alert now... First things first, she prepared an attack in advance: Spotting an obvious rock that would be used for cover once they noticed an archer hunting after them, she silently shot an arrow up into the sky, knowing where it would fall.

With the Mind's eye granted by her Kenbunshoku Haki, Linnea felt as if the whole Pirate camp had suddenly lit up like a starlit night sky. The pirates that weren't kill with her initial attack all suddenly awoke in great distress, causing their auras to flare up akin to comparing a dying, flickering flame to a raging wildfire. Soon, they would be kill... But still, this type of Haki truly provided her with interesting experiences, the kind she could write plenty of enticing pages about, but more importantly, she now had to reactivate it before the increased sensory ability died out. She was close enough to see the enemies and shoot without using it, but it not only made everything easier but also refined her ability to employ it in battle. The goal of this task had been to ensure she was capable of using her Haki effectively after mastering its use to the highest possible level at this given moment.

Now all of them awake, Linnea could see how the other strongest pirate predictably hid himself behind the rock she noticed earlier. The rain made their guns completely useless, so he was forced to pick up a bow and shoot pot shots her way. The ranger almost chuckled at this display. A mere amateur trying to outsnipe her with a bow? Cute... Archery and perception were one of the few things she was confident about after all, and for a shy girl like Linnea, that was saying something.

Linnea was determined to finish this battle quickly, her Haki use wouldn't last forever, so she had to improvise ways to maximize its use and wipe out this crew as fast as possible. Linnea pulled out 5 arrows, one with each of those pirates' name on it. Pulling out all the stops, this was yet another technique she mastered over the years, improved with the use of Haki. Locating the strongest auras, she imbued those shots with Haki, and lining up all the arrows with her sight and Haki, Linnea let them all loose. Five arrows whizzed and sang into each Pirates dominant shoulder. This wasn't a kill shot, but they'd lose enough blood and the use of their limbs. Shooting to wound would drag their comrades out of the shadow, into her line of sight, taking full advantage of her eyesight. All together, all six senses in synch with each other, letting loose arrows with great precision for this weather.

Her other shot would still hit that rock soon, so whatever those last pirates did, they already lost. The marines were already around looking for them, and they wouldn't go anywhere after this. This time, there was no need to kill any of them, but if some did bit the dust, it couldn't be helped.

What happened next went exactly according to her prediction. Many long years of hunting had honed Lin's awareness and perception to its peak potential, and even against humans who probably didn't deserve the life coursing through their veins, leaving them alive had a great advantage over killing them: It drew their allies close to either investigate or try and get them to safety. Even Pirates who were easily among the worst of the worst, this still held true.

The other weakling came into view, trying to check on his comrades; she saw it coming and intercepted him with an arrow, letting it fly the moment his aura signalled his movement. Thus, intercepting him mid path would be easy enough and as the guy crouched next to the nearest ally, he was impaled with an arrow through the chest, laying down on the ground bleeding out. The other, stronger but still relatively weak pirate was obviously started by this but at this point there wasn't much more he could do. With a whizzing sound, the arrow she'd shot up into the sky earlier came falling down, straight onto where he was hiding behind the rock. This pirate was unable to escape his doom as the arrow heralded death from above, landing through his skull and killing him instantly. The downed pirates who could still wriggle and scream shouted for each other, calling their names, trying desperately to learn if any of them had actually seen the assaliant. But they had no such luck, the weather was too bad and Linnea was too good at sniping to leave them any chance of doing so.

Maybe if they had Haki, like her? Still, all of that was beside the point, she had defeated all of the Pirates and with this their plan of taking over the island would be put to a stop, permanently. They'd be picked up by the marines sometime tomorrow...


OOC: Kenbunshoku still active

All of the pirates were now fallen, some of them had even died... Yet this rainstorm showed no sign of subsiding anytime soon. Linnea's clothes and hair were positively drenched to the bone, to the point where she hardly even noticed the showering water anymore. Why should she? She couldn't exactly get any wetter at this point. The splashing sound of water falling into the leaves of the tall trees, and then dripping down to the soil below - together with the occasional thunderclap - deafened much of the voices of the few pirates still able to speak. They weren't able to scream anymore... Linnea loaded an arrow as she prepared for the next and final part of her mission: Nobody would pay her to take down this troublesome pirates, so she had pay herself. How would she do that, one might ask? Why, looting of course! She approached the pirates, and soon enough one of them could finally see her. Between her black outfit and the nighly shadows, her features were almost completely hidden save for the loose hanging locks of platinum hair. The pirate raised its arms in surrender and the others followed suit... None of them were in any condition to wield a gun, let alone aim at her:

"Who are you?! What do you want with us?!", asked the pirate, as the thunder flash revealed Lin's soft features for a split second. Her short clothes and feminine curves made her gender quite obvious even in the dark, but this was still the first time they could actually look upon the face of their assailant

"What do I want you ask?", she retorted with a cold glare, crouching next to that pirate and looting his belongings, "To remain on this island without it being taken over by you trash. The name is Naga D. Linnea."

Guys like these, going around killing anything that moved, they were what gave pirates a bad name. Linnea planned on finally raising her Jolly Roger, out of a simple desire for freedom, being able to choose where to travel without some faceless, self titled government telling her not to go this way or that way, not wear this or that color. Never! She was raised believing that a true leader should be seen and known to all of his subjects, such as the Queen of Amazon Lily. Every girl admired her, every wanted to be like her, hell, be her even. She could never command that authority or that unity by hiding herself behind a castle and barking out orders through a middle man...

"Be good and let me take your treasure; that way you get to keep your lives.", she finished off, slowly collecting the loot off each pirate, putting away her bow when it became clear none of them would try fighting any more...

With this, Linnea turned away and returned to her inn, dropping her loot in her room and filling up a large tub of water to soak herself in... Nothing would feel quite as good after being showered like that...
