Spoiler:

The day was that of excitement and joy. Of entertainment and rest. Of loudness and damn bright sunlight. Wade, hesitantly, awoke from his bed as the sunlight kindly slapped him awake. Prying his eyes open with all of his might, he looked about to see there were no others in their barracks, or even the sound of work. With a grunt, he rose, careful not to bang his head on the bed above him again. Coming towards the window, the sounds of festiveness and happiness became quite apparent. Looking out, he noticed the noise was coming from town. With a rub of his eyes, Wade went on out to the hallway and, luckily, found some Marines. "Boys..." He began, "Where everyone at? And why is there some ruckus from the town?" The giant would ask the much smaller men, who would reply that there was festival and most Marines are either patrolling or are on the day-offs.  After some thought, Wade soon remembered today was his day off.

Almost immediately Wade's face lightened up and he quickly went back into the barracks. He cleaned himself up, put on his slacks and blazer and, after mulling it over, decided not to put his Marine top hat band on today. Rather, would simply use a plain black one. He took his cane and immediately headed out for the town. Wade was no person for crowds or noise, but today was one of the few instances of a day-off, so he decided that he might as well go out for a change. It's not that he doesn't get enough sleep during his workdays after all.

Blake had gone to Baterilla to get a look at the local festival. After all it was only once every year and she did not know when she would get the chance again. On top of that something else had drawn her attention, apparently the country was about to hold a big slave auction, which drew more shitty nobles to the town than usually.

Her hood pulled over her face she quietly sat near the fountain in the middle of the colourful decorated market square, her eyes fixated on a knife juggler. Usually she did not really enjoy such displays, partly because she felt like people were not serious enough about their knife use, but this particular man was rather impressive. Agile he mixed his juggles together with simple slight of hand tricks, making the daggers disappear or replacing them with other objects he had hidden in his long white coat.

Meanwhile not far from her was a big band playing raising the peoples mood even more and causing Blake to sheathe and unsheathe her tanto inside her sleeve to the beat of their drums, obviously without pulling the daggers fully out of her sleeve, she did not want to cause a commotion.

Sitting there till the juggler took a break from his show, she got up as he bowed to the crowd and threw a few coins into his held out hat, then decided to continue her look around the festival. Most important was the food stands, which covered the edge of the market, but also side-streets. Taking interest in an especially pleasing sweet and spicy smell she quickly made her way to one stand that sold roasted pumpkin seeds.

She still had time for a snack, while keeping an eye out for any signs of the slave auction, scumbag nobles or slavers.

Wade, with one hand in his pocket and one holding his cane, slowed his step as he meandered his way through the crowds of people, looking about the area as he did. There were jugglers of all varieties, fire eaters, sword swallowers, balancers, cooks from foreign lands, and even a few martial artists demonstrating their craft. It was quite a show to say the least. Numerous men and woman were moving about to see the sites, meanwhile children were rampant and were running about left and right, trying to visit each and every attraction. Wade, taking amount to think about his options, decided to make his way to a nearby food stand to check out what they had to offer. Upon getting closer, the pungent smell of grease became very apparent as well as the sound of sizzling. Having to bend down slightly so he would speak properly, Wade was greeted with the face of a gray old man who was almost entirely bald except for a small tuff of silver hair right above his forehead.

Right next to the man was a window which say what they served. The foods ranged from fries, chicken, duck, candy apples, corn dogs, and various other consumables that were native to festivals. Taking out a bill, Wade spoke. "Candy Apple, sir. Two of 'em." The man nodded his head as he took the Belly, smiling a bit too excitedly at it as he reached off to some place obscured by the walls that surrounded him. He quickly brought his arm back with two candy apples. Both were covered in a scarlet red coating and seemed quite fresh. Taking them with a small thanks, Wade went about his business. He held one in his free hand, chewing and licking at it as he held the other with his cane, gripping hard enough so that it would not fall. He didn't really pay attention as to where he was going, as he was just sight-seeing for the most part. He eventually got a whiff of a scent that smelled of pumpkin and looked about, trying to find the source of it.

Blake calmly eyed the pumpkin products, while enjoying a hand full of roasted pumpkin seeds. It was hard to remember that she was there for more than just food with so many things she really liked.

Quickly she also got herself a bowl of pumpkin cream soup, it was also perfect with the roasted seeds. She had to be careful not to spill it as she tried to make her way back out of the crowd that had formed in front of the stand. Just as she turned around she stumbled, but somehow managed to catch herself before falling. The bowl in her hand had not the same luck, Blake just looked up in time to see it flying forward multiple feet hitting a man right on the chest. “My soup...”, sighed Blake, ignoring the man in the top-hat it had hit. Full of disappointment she glanced back over to the food stand. It was still flooded with people, which made her a bit unsure, if she wanted to stand in line again and wait.

Then she glanced back at the bowl and the man it had hit and covered in warm orange pumpkin soup. Somehow it still looked delicious. “Buy me a new one.” Were Blake's first words as she stepped up to the tall man covered in her soup. “Your clothes ate my soup, so buy me a new one.”

The best way to describe her voice and facial expression was to compare her to a spoiled child, but she was honestly bothered by losing her soup. She pushed her hood back and stared up to the man's face. “I want a new bowl of soup.” For a spoiled child her red eyes were very demanding and serious.
