Vicktur leaned on the railing of the tour ship he rode in on. The large passenger ship had been touring all around the East Blue, visiting island after island on its way to its final destination; Loguetown. The island famously known as the birthplace and final resting place of the Pirate King Gol D Roger. It was humorous to think Roger's last moments were in the very place as his first. From cradle to grave he could not escape it. Despite having gained everything a man could want, he was destined to lose it all here. Vicktur hoped he would not face the same twisted fate as Roger did. He had no intention of ever returning to the place of his birth. Him reducing his childhood home to ashes was a symbol of that. Thankfully I arrived on a tourist ship. Who knows how much shit i'de get from the bastards in blue if it were otherwise the thoughts danced around his mind. Vicktur had briefly considered battering passage with a pirate crew, but decided against it when he realized how much of a gamble it was. It wasnt that he was afraid to face-off against the Marines. Only that he wasn't much prepared to deal with the pricks at the moment. Using tourists as a guise to slip in and out would be a piece of cake.
The grand galleon, repurposed to haul all these doe-eyed consumers, pulled into port at high noon. People flocked to the deck to get their first look at the town of the beggining and end. Men, women, and children stared at the pristine town - or atleast the parts that were such - with a sense of wonder. Here it was! The most famous island un the East Blue, nay the most famous island in all the world! Vicktur could almost taste the excitement of the others on board. He could definitely see it. With cameras snapping pictures left and right, as well as Den Den Mushi calling friends and loved ones to beag about their adventures. One would think this was the most exciting thing these people had ever seen. For most of them it probably was, and would be thw most exciting thing they would ever see. He almost envied them. To have such a simple life was somewhat a blessing. They'd visit Loguetown then go home to with their families and live comfortable lives. Never knowing the shadow wars that took place in the background. Never knowing exactly how terrible their government really was.
We've reached our destination of Loguetown. Please clear the ship in an orderly fashion. Tour guides will be stationed on the platforms below. Enjoy your stay in the town of beggining and end. the Den Den Mushi echoed throughout the immediate area, nearly drowned out by the commotion of the crowd. If Vicktur was a more irritable person he might be losing his shit right now. Thankfully he was a patient man who had dealt with bigger annoyances before. Like his asshole father and cunt siblings. They were all dead and gone, though. Except for the few girls his dad sold into prostitution, along with his mother. Killing that bastard was the proudest monent of his life. It was one story he was happy to tell over and over again. Whoa! a small boy looked and gawked at him, seemingly mesmerized by his size. Look mommy, its a Giant! Like in those books you bought me! Vicktur was used to people being dumb-founded by his height. But it was always a treat to see the kids react. Even if he wasnt all that special when it came down to it. He had heard of many people who stood as tall as himself, even taller. Yes sweetie, a Giant. the mother said dryly while perusing the tourist brochure. Come along now, sweetheart. We wouldn't want to keep your father waiting. He's been waiting to see you since he joined up with the Marines. He should be at the base.
The boy and his mother departed from the ship monents before Vicktur. Despite having spent so much time at sea, he always loved getting his two feet back on solid ground. Whenever he set off to sail he wondered if ge'd ever make it back to dry land. One could never be too sure with the unforgiving sea. Vicktur quickly broke away from the group and made his way to the shopping district. He wanted to browse some wares and maybe find another sword. One could never have too many swords after all. Or atleast he thought so.
