Reina weaved through the crowds of people until she stumbled to the outside of the square and fell into the dirt. The square is where people were gathering in great numbers. It was mid day, so she understood the rush but at the same time she sort of despised it seeing as how Water 7 never had these issues. It was odd for her to have congestion problems on arrival, not even an hour and already it was a little jarring to her. Before she could get up someone walked up to her and offered his hand. It was a burly pirate with a crimson bandanna on his head and a scruffy 5 o clock shadow. " Y'right miss? A girl like ya shouldn't be treated as such".
It was in this moment that she realized she didn't like attention from men. Reina pulled back but he held on with the same half smile with a hint of lust. " I uhh, yea gotta get going. Thanks for the hand", she said with a bead of sweat running down her cheek. The man's grin became more pronounced, as if he had caught something good. " Well why don't we go to a pub nearby, let's chat a bit eh"?
Reina heard the word she wanted to hear, pub. She grasped his hand firmly and began to crush his hand ever so slightly. " Oh you know of a pub? Little ol me was looking for a place to meet peoples. New round here hahaha". As she gripped his hand, he bit his lip and his gaze was averted from here. His smooth talking demeanor was replaced by that which you might expect from a trapped rat. " Hahaha so umm, can you let go of my hand? I'll lead ya". Reina's eyes began to glow ever so slightly, the feel of the town started to come into focus. It was as if she could sense every little nook and cranny, but with so much information coming in at once she always focused on danger signs. So far the only danger she could sense was from the man who was now blue in the face, his body language indicated that his free hand was hovering over his sheathed sword. " Oh sorry sorry didn't know my own strength sir", she said with a disingenuous laugh meant to give off this innocent girl act while she flapped her hand at him.
The man(tier 3) lead her down the road to a place called, "the pub". It's name was literally The Pub. She looked at the plaque over the entrance and started to giggle to herself. In the pub there were a bunch of fellows with similar bandannas to his own. The man nervously took a seat next to a bunch of fellows who looked onto her, but they were cooing and whistling at her like she was a caught rabbit. Reina on the other hand smiled back as if she didn't know what was going on as the man tried to calm them down. " Guys guys this is a newcomer to the island. She probably needs some tips on where ta go. let's 'elp h'r out k"?
One man licked his lips and he walked up to Reina with thirsty eyes. He held out a hand to her, trembling ever so slightly. She didn't sense anything wrong with him,but perhaps it was time to see what she could do in this situation. These were people who wouldn't have approached her as a marine, much less a Rear admiral with the distinct purple stripe she had on her shoulder of her uniform. Right now she was a normal girl, but she had a hostage. Likely the whole bar at this rate if she played her cards right.
One fella asked her if she wanted a drink, so she obliged. She sat there like a good girl and nodded her head, laughed at a few bad jokes. All the while the one who lured her in was sending mixed signals to his guys. The first drink they brought oozed bad intent, or rather the man who did oozed bad intent. As he set it near her, she looked at the drink to notice a slight change in the fizzle. " huh"? The red head threw the glass behind her and the glass smashed into the wall.
" What do you think you're doing trick"? One man said going for her collar. She grabbed his arm instead with a big grin on her face. He tried to wiggle away, but she tightened her grip and smirked. " No, go back and do it right. The glass is on you too". The man was starting to panic and his compatriots were thrown off kilter at the scene. Blood started to seep from his long sleeve shirt and the slight sound of flesh under pressure started to resound within the group. The man grit his teeth and the others backed up as her smile became more pronounced. " Okay kay miss,I----i-i-iI got this. Redoing it"!
She nodded her head and got up from the table. " No no, for being a good boy I'll get the drink k"? Her second hostage sat down and her first had a terrified tremble, but under the table his fist started to bleed ever so slightly. As she walked up to the bar there was an elderly man, he had a mustache that looked like pencil marks. His staff were a couple of pretty girls and an older middle aged woman. " Umm excuse miss but ---". Reina shook her finger at him and flashed some serious beli. He looked down at his and nodded his head, but slowly pushed the money back. " I don't need this kind of money for the glass or drinks miss. Please don't cause trouble, we've got enough as it is". As she talked to the employees, her first group of men were deliberating on what to do. They whispered among eachother and to their neighbors.
It seemed as if the crowd was slightly getting animated behind her, some reacting to her nonchalant attitude. It was as if she didn't care about them, as if they were insects or children compared to her. The bar tender pulled another glass out while his waitress explained the situation. " Mam please don't cause issues in the pub at least. It's customary to take it outside. Plus we've had trouble recently. A man named dunkirk and ouken caused a scene a few days ago".
Reina's eyebrow raised a little, it was kind of a reflex to her at this point. " Who is this ouken and dunkrick"? The lady laughed and said, " No no dunkirk. He and a fellow patron got into a scuffle recently and it ended with poor little ouken pulling out a bomb threat to save his skin". The staff sort of chuckled, but Reina's interest was picqued. The woman regained her composure and continued, " Anyways miss. We'd appreciate if you took it outside. That's all I gotta say. Please and thanks. We don't want our establishment to get a bad rep. We're a neutral zone for all to enjoy". Reina smiled and nodded to acknowledge them. " Okay okay, I'll be good. Six drinks please and a side of fries".
She carried the drinks back to her table, with the fries lying on top of her mug. Her arms full to the brim with mugs as tall as her head, she cautiously made her way back to her seat. " Wonder if that ouken fella would b useful. It's not everyday you hear bout bomb threats...mmm fries", she said as she reached for a fry with her mouth. As she walked legs would pop out one after the other, but she just weaved through them with little to no effort. Even managing to avoid a man pretending to fall into her. She managed to perfectly keep her drinks in their mugs while stepping on the man's face casually. " Okay boys I'm back"!
She said with a hearty laugh and a grin to match. As she distributed the drinks, her small group of initial guys had their jaws floored as she avoided everything thrown at her with ease. " Sorry boys, there were a bunch of obstacles to get past and I had an interesting talk. Now then, let's get to business shall we"?
They all looked at their mugs reluctantly and nodded their heads. She ate her fries and started wagging it at them. " Bark for me and I won't crush you and your silly crew". They all looked to eachother and laughed. " Wait trick, what'd ya say"?
She bit into her potatoe wedge with spirit and looked him dead in the eye. " Bark for me, or you will leave her in one piece. But your crew? I'll tear them limb from limb". As she uttered these words, people around her started to turn their attention to her. Signs of danger were starting to boil over.
