The two warriors took to the skies. As their bodies danced in the sky, Junbei pulsating a red light from the radiating red soundwaves that projected his body and Sango’s wide ten foot wings that complimented his flight. Junbei pulled out his two Blitz Sticks, surging the two tonfa’s with electricity, the two surges of white and blue streaks flickered in the skies. As the clash raged on, Junbei’s speeds increased and Sango became unable to keep up with the man’s movements with his common eye, switching over to his Kenbunshoku Haki.

Spinning his spear above his head, Sango swiped his blade downwards, releasing a thirty meter long electric wind pillar, which pushed Junbei towards the ground at Tier 3 speeds. Blocking the attack with his two Blitz Sticks, Junbei absorbed the brunt of the attack, but the technique’s force broke the man’s natural immunity to damage, pushing the weight of the wind pillar onto his body momentarily. As Junbei decompressed towards the ground, the man’s body crashed into the ground, decompressing the impact by a pulsation of sound waves to reduce the force of the crash.

Laying in a twenty meter carter, Junbei’s body whiplashed off the ground, slightly fracturing his back shoulder blade. Flying upward ten more meters, achieving a peak of around forty-five meters off the ground, Sango placed his spear in front of him, descending towards the ground, to impale the spear’s blade into the man’s chest cage, as the man descended, a lightning jolt formed, with enough force to split the earth’s surface open. Snapping his fingers, Junbei created a red veil hovering above his body. In the apex of the red veil, a series of sound waves began to omit rapidly, changing the force of the shock wave from exploding outwards horizontally, pushing the force upwards in a vertical direction to collide with the man’s descent.

The force of Junbei and Sango’s clash, caused another concurrent shock-wave that rocked everything within 250 Meters of Upper Yard. The debris covered 100 Meters of the Shandia Camp, both fighters now keeping firm track of each other’s position in the debris. Sango’s body shook viciously, the force of the shockwave malfunctioned his motor skills, ripping his eardrums to threads. His hands began to escalate in the motion, dropping the spear from his hand, the man sharpened his skin to a metallic tint. Gripping his hands, the man maintained focus once again, ascending above the dust plume, at one hundred and fifty meters. Pressing hands against the ground, Junbei pushed off the floor, dashing into mid-air, advancing in a streamlined fashion, first at Tier 3 speeds near the fifty meter mark, achieving Tier 5 speed by the hundred meter mark.

Fifty meters separated the two, dropping his speed slightly, the man altered his motion into a zig-zag formation, closing the forty more meters, before releasing his next attack. Releasing a pulsation of low frequency waves, Junbei’s sound waves began to resonate with Sango’s lungs, the Chief’s eyes opened widely as his ability to breath slowly became much more difficult, barely managing to maintain flight. However, his lungs were much stronger than the average being, due to the dense quality of air above the clouds. Winding his hand backwards, the man punched down repeatedly, releasing a series of five wind pillars, almost like logs, twenty-eight meter in width and forty meters in length.

As the logs decompressed downwards, Junbei hovered avoiding the first clustering, taking the second hit on his already damaged shoulder, the force caused the man to drop his twin tonfa in the right hand but at it’s release, the shockwave burst outwards in a dome like fashion, taking out everything in a thirty diameter radius. The force of the shock wave, broke several bones in Sango’s body, his wrist, right knee cap and ribcage.

The air above Upper Yard trembled from the immense force of the men’s attacks, Sango’s logs leaving holes in the tribe’s flooring. The force of the attack began to break away at the floor’s lining, causing tectonic plates that lied below the Vearth in Upper Yard to tremble, at the force of 5 on the richter scale level quakes. In the distance, Jade and the crew engaged in conflicts against Sango's personal guard, their distance is 100 Meters from this aerial combat. In the air around the two warriors, the two men could been seen, still maintain flight wheezing with grins on their faces.

Wheezing, the two men floated in mid-air, staring at each other. Blood now trickled from Junbei’s raspberry hair, dying a tint of crimson, as it dripped around the outline of the man’s eye. “What is the point of this Sango? Why are you so insistent of hunting humans? No matter how many you kill, it won’t bring Isabella back.” Junbei stated, clutching at his holster for his next tonfa, Gravitas, losing his other Blitz Stick below in the field of debris. As the lightning danced around in the skies, a smile filled Sango’s face as his body trickled with this white, almost transparent lightning. “You don’t think I know that… Nothing will bring back the dead Junbei. Isabella… The woman I love is gone… our child gone… our future… lost. All I have is the past…” Sango said clutching his fist.

As the man’s anger flourished once again, lightning began to trickle from the man’s hands. Placing his palm in front of him, and his folded fist to his waist, Sango clutched back his palm, and thrusting it forward, sending out an air pillar, in the form of a log, covering in electricity towards Junbei. “Great Oak! White Thrust!” the man shouted, seemingly disappearing to the left, changing course immediately to Junbei. Reappearing next to the man’s shoulder, Sango wrapped his legs around Junbei’s neck, tossing the man in a headscissors, towards the ground with immense strength. The changing in pressure as Junbei decompressed towards the earth, caused the Songbird’s internal bleeding to worsen. Countering the descent with a thrust of soundwaves, Junbei entered into his intangibility state, Sango still adjusting to being death, couldn’t rely on his usual senses to read movements sonically, in conjunction with his Kenbunshoku Haki. Junbei stretched his bodies sound waves into an arc, circling behind the warrior, who anticipated the advance with his Haki.

However, Junbei only allowed Sango to hear what sounds he wanted him to, his hearing wasn’t completely shot yet either, it was flickering in and out, like failing receiver. Spinning to counter the man’s attack, however, his motion didn’t arrive in time, Junbei slamming his electricity covered Gravitas against the man’s collar bone, shattering it by the increase force of the attack, due to Gravitas curse of increasing weight, the electricity that surged against the man’s body, caused him to lose focus of his White Owl state, allowing the electricity exhibited by Junbei to temporarily, render his wings useless. Sango’s body began to fall towards the ground, though, his lungs were accustomed to random changes in pressure and climates, Sango’s body however hit the ground with an incredible clump, cracking the back of his skull and various segments of the man’s back. However, getting up from the mess that was his shattered body, Sango simply cracked his neck, though bonded to the floor by the electrical currents. “It doesn’t matter what you steal from me Songbird… Be it my hearing or sight… I’m immortal. In the Golden City, there’s an instrument known as Apollo’s Trumpet, they say those without Cursed Hands who touch it revert back to their teenage state, and much like the lore of this man named Apollo, never age as long as the trumpet's melody isn’t played. You break my legs, my arms, even fracture my skull, I’ll still be able to move.” Sango announced.

“Did he just say… Apollo’s Trumpet… That’s one of the Seven Holy Instruments. It does exist.” Junbei said grinning. “What are you smiling at brat?” Sango inquired, picking up the elated emotions in Junbei via his Haki. “It doesn’t matter… I can’t even hear your explanation now. How you could smile in a scenario like this…” Sango said grinning himself. Descending to the ground, his body now accustomed to the weight of Gravitas, his speed was hampered tremendously. Landing on the ground, Junbei placed his Blitz Stick on the man’s chest, “Waves.” Junbei exclaimed. As the low frequency waves surged through the man’s body, Sango began to feel extremely nauseated. “Can you hear me?” Junbei transmitted through his soundwaves, directly speaking to Sango’s mind. “You have a weird ability kid.” Sango thought.

“Even if you can’t hear me… I can still speak directly to the frequency of your brain. I want to know… a few things actually. Let’s start with the most important one… I want you to tell me the story of you and Isabella.” Junbei transmitted. Frozen, waiting for his body to regain motion, Sango fought to obtain control of his White Owl State, “Fine. I got time before this body of mine stops freaking out.” Sango stated. Over the next few minutes, Sango began to explain the history of Isabella and himself, how they met, how they fell in love, the actions after her kidnapping and even the state of the Kingdom. “See. Do you understand why our people could never forgive-” Sango concluded with a smug expression but his words were halted from the tears flowing from Junbei’s eyes. “I understand. Why she said she loved you before she died. All these years… I wondered who you were… and after meeting you… I understand the two Isabella’s we both knew were two different people but one in the same. The love… I have for Izzy… isn’t that of a lovers. She was a mother to me. Scolding me when I was wrong and hurtful, teaching music and sharing snippets of her dreams… Whether of Skypiea or of being a pirate. Everything about her… I adored.” Junbei transponded. “However… This isn’t the answer Sango. Hunting my people isn’t the answer. Not the one Isabella would’ve wanted and the World Government is way more corrupt than your people would ever understand.” Junbei transmitted.

Regaining motor skills, Sango lurked in his thoughts of striking, “So then what… What is the answer Wingless?” the man said, forming his hand in position for a chop. Junbei sensed using his Haki that the man’s emotions turned dreadfully dark, as if he was waiting to coil at any moment. “Build a new Skypiea. One that neither cowers towards humans… nor hunts them. Find a God who will facilitate this new world. Below, slavery is much like you depict here… It’s a cruel thing man must learn to escape. A practice not worth it.” Junbei declared, stepping towards Sango, wrapping his arms around the man, hugging him. Stabbing his chop into the Songbird’s ribcage, the force of the blow ripped the man open, causing him to pass out from lost of blood.

“It’ cute to dream kid… but only the strong can make idealistic claims like that. Isabella is dead.” Sango’s eyes glowed bright blue from the curse. Focusing his Haki to the full seven hundred meter range, Sango’s bones partially returned into place from the curse of the trumpet. Laying in a pool of his own blood, Junbei lied motionless. “It was nice meeting you Auburn Songbird. You stole my hearing…” Sango said, pointing at his ears. “It seems even this curse couldn’t reverse that… but… thankfully… I’ll be able to steal something else other than your life today. Your nakama’s own as well.” Sango said, stopping short as he began to cough up blood, his internal organs malfunctioning from the low frequency waves.

As Sango attempted to walk away, the feel of Junbei’s hand wrapping around his ankle stopped the man’s advance. “You don’t know when to give up, do you?” Sango glared downwards with immense intensity. The wound that was struck by Sango’s previous attack was coated in a black metallic coat, gingerly returning to his feet, Junbei regained his Gravitas tonfa, his hand still firmly clutched on his Blitz Stick. “WOAH!” Junbei shouted gasping for air and breathing heavily. “If I was a couple seconds late, that strike would’ve been the end of me! I was trying to bond with you, jerk!” Junbei exclaimed. “I don’t know if I should be happy that I can’t hear you talk anymore or frustrated that you're still moving…” Sango commented. “I guess doing this the easy way won’t work… I didn’t really want to hurt someone who Isabella cares about so deeply but I don’t have much of a choice.” Junbei exclaimed grinning. A stream of sound waves began to permeate from the man’s body, his red hair shining in a raspberry hue. Around his wrists and ankles possessed thick red bangles or rings, made out of soundwaves. Several Aztec symbols appeared on his body, as a result of thin sound waves coating the man’s vessel. Absorbing all of the sound within a twenty-five diameter radius, the sound of trumpets sounded throughout Upper Yard. “Apollus.” Junbei uttered.

Pressing off against the ground, Junbei hovered backwards, sustaining flight a few inches off the ground. Hovering around the man in an orbital method, at an nine o'clock angle, Junbei dashed towards Sango, slamming his tonfa, Gravitas into the man’s shoulder blade, pressing him into a crater into the ground. The force of Junbei’s attack pressed the man into earth’s surface, increasing Sango’s body weight to nearly 1000 pounds after transferring the curse of Gravitas upon contact. The earth trembled, the surface breaking apart like shards of arctic ice, divided into segments, fragile to the most subtle touch. Weighing over four hundred pounds now, combined with his exhaustion, Junbei’s speed had significantly diminished, a trade off he accepted once using the Tonfa’s curse for any actions. The wound in Junbei’s side bled into the man’s red kimono, opening wider as the man continued with the high pace and hard hitting assaults against Sango. Every sonic texture of Sango’s voice trickled off into the red dome that now encaged the two warriors, strengthening the Oto Oto user’s sonar capabilities.

Whipping the his tonfa in the man’s direction, Junbei fired off an air pillar that broke into the earth’s crust in arc like fashion, pushing Sango’s against the earth’s surface until he crashed into the nearby Beanstalk. Taking flight Sango began to climb quickly, trying to move out of Junbei’s range to recalculate this strategy. Pressing off of the ground, taking chase to Sango, the two warriors broke into the clouds, travelling hundreds of meters at a time. Breaking through a clearing in the clouds, the warriors now stood before Ancient City of Shandora. It’s majesty was evident, the tombs large pyramid like fixture, it’s every brick seemingly built with a golden make in mind. “Woah… A literal city of Gold. I can understand why the gatekeeper at Heaven’s Gate said gold’s nothing to them.” Junbei commented, star struck by the beauty of the architecture. Meanwhile, in Henkia’s turf, several miles away from the duo’s positioning, the scientist tinkering away for the assault ahead, on route to God’s Shrine, picked up the conflict on his monitoring system. “Looks like our guests are a bit early, Prometheus.” Henkia stated, maintaining steady flight next to the Pillar. “Even in times like this you pick now to play with that toy sheep, Henkia? Your an interesting man.” Prometheus commented, activating his Haki to sense the other’s presence. “Hmm… I see. It doesn’t matter, they’re too concerned with ripping each other apart. Gives us time to put our plan into action! Let’s speed up the march, Henkia!” Prometheus shouted, increasing the pace of his motion towards the Shrine. At the peak of the Beanstalk, lied an automatic pulley system, which could bring members from the Shandia Village, airborne towards the outskirts of the shrines ruins.

After noticing their leader’s presence moving further away towards higher ground, the elite guard began to panic, breaking their forces into two. Eighteen subdued the Songbirds, creating a wall locking out the crewmates from advancing, while the other eighteen advanced backwards towards the conflict between Sango and Junbei, in attempts to check on or even aide Sango in his fight. Arching her arrow, Charlotte managed to snipe two of the guards in the frontline, with her titanium tipped arrows. “Jadey! I think they’re trying to go assist Sango. Something’s wrong, I’m not sensing any thunderclouds or noises from the earlier conflicts anymore.” Charlotte exclaimed. “Hoho… I think we should make our way in that direction as well. If I know Sango, he’ll take the fight to the ruins… That’s his best shot… It’s his playing ground. The closer he gets to the cursed item, the strong his will becomes.” Juju commented. “What in the world is this curse he keeps going on about anyway!?” Caprice inquired, catching up to the pack with Jade and Charlotte. “Long story short… There’s an item within those ruins that cursed both Chance and Sango… Speaking of which… Where’s Chance?” Juju inquired. Eighty meters backwards, Nico was tied up in vines by Chance and Raven, abandoned by the former Pillar and her master.

Chance wasted no time while Junbei and Sango beat the living daylights of each other to make her advance towards God’s Shrine, and after hours had passed, moments before Junbei and Sango ascended to the ruins, Chance arrived before her father and his court. “What brings you here, Chance? You dare show your face in my quarters in such a pitiful state!?” Lao Fall, the God of Skypiea inquired harshly. “Watch your!-” Raven exclaimed, her frustrations silenced by Chance’s hand gesture. “Father. Among the troublemakers from Blue Dwellers, a man by the name of Junbei Von Echo has presented himself before me.” Chance stated. “Isn’t he the Wingless that defeated Lena on Angel Island… Useless Pillar.” Lao said with immense disgust.

“Yes… he is the same. He’s also the same man that early today, completely wiped out a force of four hundred Wingless… Freeing hundreds of Shandia and Birkan alike… toppling their camp and ravishing their leader, Ivan!” Chance declared. Many murmurs began to circulate around the Nobles at the Princess’s claim. “Surely you don't jest?” Lao inquired, sitting up in his chair, slightly elated from the news. “I don’t have time to be joking around with this court, or your time, Father.” Chance said bluntly puffing out her cheeks. “In that case… That man deserves praise for his actions… However, the fact still stands that he put his hand on a Disciple of God. Lena’s death is worth thousands of Wingless lives… Even if Ivan was punished in his wake, until he repents for his sins… Will his sentence be reduced.” Lao exclaimed.

“Sentence! You plan to place our savior into chains of slavery!?” Chance screamed feverishly. Lao got up from his throne, walking over to his daughter, placing his hand on her head. “Why of course… nothing less than 100 years of slavery will be enough.” Lao said grinning. “Take her to her quarters… Prepare a search party for this Junbei… and anyone who follows him!” Lao commanded. Entering into the Shrine’s main room, the wooden doors slid sideway revealing Sango and Henkia. “Showtime.” Henkia said grinning. Chance and Raven fought valiantly to escape the guards grip but to no avail.

As the men landed in front of the ruins, immense power began to surge into Sango’s body, his younger appearance started to fade, his young tight skin began to sag slightly, adding about ten years onto his face. His muscle mass bulked, his height increased and his hair lengthened, it was if the child had became a whole new person. With many bags under his eyes, as if the man hadn’t slept in days, Sango’s strength reached to levels beyond anything exhibited before. Slamming his fist into the ground, the surface in front of the ruins shattered, breaking the flooring, causing Junbei to ride along the cracking surface, exhausted from the high caliber moves he’d pulled out during the fight. Dropping into the carter, which was about thirty deep, Junbei fell about ten feet inward, sliding against the side of the cliff structure that formed in the earth. Maintaining his Apollus scope, he was able to slip away out of Sango’s sight, breathing heavily, the man sat still, hidden the field of debris formed from the attack from Sango’s mighty punch. “You think you have the answers to it all don’t you brat!? You think coming here and spitting old stories about Isabella was going to make this all go away!? The injustices your people have caused to Skypiea will never fade.” Sango shouted, the sound of his voice being funneled into the Junbei’s sound dome. Rising from his resting position, catching his breath back, the Auburn Songbird rose into mid-air, coming into the center of the crater, hovering within in range of Sango. Snapping his fingers, once again Sango clutched at his chest, his lungs being unable to handle the resonance with the low frequency waves that Junbei was omitted. Swinging his hand upwards, the man punched a pillar of air towards Junbei, who countered by turning intangible, closing directly below Sango’s now towering ten foot stature. Stooping down, turning up the frequency on the waves hertz, Junbei redirected the assault to the man’s intestines, causing him to clutch at his stomach. As the man hunched over, Junbei slammed his Gravitas into the man’s jaw, slamming upward into mid-air about three meters. As the life faded from the warrior chief’s eyes, Junbei released a high frequency shockwaves which rocked every bone in the male’s body pushing him away thirty meters. As Sango’s body rode along with the expanding sound dome, Junbei’s hair faded in it’s color, dropping onto the floor, Junbei’s attack destroyed the outskirts of the ruins tombs’, leaving only the golden city in it’s wake.

The destruction could’ve been exhibited from God’s Shrine, shaking the building from the force of it’s quake. “What brings you to the Shrine, Prometheus?” Lao inquired, the nobles in the room panicked from the seeming explosion that occurred not too far off from the Shrine. “I just came to see you on this rare occasion. It’s not everyday you get to see the look on God’s face before you kill him.” Prometheus declared with bloodlust in his eyes. In one swift motion, Prometheus slashed off the King’s head. Blood filled the chamber’s walls and floors, leaving the on looking nobilities in shock at what had just occurred. Henkia snapped his fingers, in an instant operatives placed among the nobles began to slash the council’s throats, leaving no prisoners. The flooring of the Shrine began to shook, hundreds of warriors leaked into the room, capturing Raven and Chance. Walking slowly towards the throne, from the outside of the Shrine, hundreds of modified humans guarded the Shrine’s perimeter. “Kawazumi… A legendary blade that’s said to give you the speed of the Gods. He never even saw it coming. Motions with this blade allow you to create after image clones of yourself. I’m literally able to split my body into two.” Prometheus said, kicking God’s lifeless body off the throne, his blood leaking into the flooring. Plopping onto the throne, Prometheus leaned onto the throne’s arm hands, “I am God. Henkia from now on will replace the council as Chairman God. I’ll keep you alive Chance.” Prometheus exclaimed. Breaking away from the constraints, Raven pulled for a sword from her back. “You’ve committed treason against the throne, Prometheus!” Raven shouted. “A former Pillar with dullen abilities is really going to take me on with that garden knife. Know your place woman.” Prometheus said smirking at the woman’s foolish claim.

From the golden city, a slight golden tint could be seen illuminating from the ruins. As Juju held the deceased Sango in his arms, the man’s body too began to resonate with the pyramid. At God’s Shrine, the phenomena had also caused Chance’s body to glow, as Prometheus's blade ripped through the woman’s chest cage. “I see. This curse seems fairly useful… Chance Fall. The Immortal Woman.” the Pillar exclaimed. Resting the blade on his shoulder, the wound on Chance’s chest began to close. On the floor behind her, was the woman she was protecting, Raven, her guardian had been beaten to a blood pulp. Her body couldn’t even move, her left eye slashed shut and various gashes filled the woman’s body as the electricity siphoned through her nervous system.

Chance breathing heavily, her body started to revert to her adult form, growing to around 6’ foot in height, her body became developed, bosom expanding in girth, her waist smoothing out to her luscious model like figure and her hair growing down to the hind of her bottom. Breathing even more rapidly, the woman’s now matured, around twenty-five face left a flattered look on Prometheus’ face. “Pretty gorgeous for a cursed brat.” the newly self appointing god exclaimed. “I wondered how true the rumours are… No matter how much damage you all take… it can be negated by just reverting back to your original age. However, word on the street is, this curse cuts your lifespan in half each time you revert back to your starting age.” Prometheus declared. “It’s the only thing that stopped me from venturing into the ruins myself.” the Pillar concluded. “I- I- won’t let you hurt her or anymore people Prometheus. You’ll pay not only for the murder of my father… but everything you’ve done to my sister and the people of Skypiea!” Chance shouted, grabbing Raven’s discarded short blade. Raising Kawakami above his head, “This should be fun… Let’s see how much I can cut you up before your curse runs out.” Prometheus stated, glaring down towards the woman and her guard with a villainous smile.

Meanwhile at the ruins, Sango’s body grew to his original height of ten feet tall in Juju’s arms, alarmed, the man dropped the warrior, who retained stance revealing his long twelve foot wings. The broken bones across his body started to revert but the exhaustion felt by the man was too great, he fell to a seat position. Breathing profusely in quick short inhales, “I can’t believe this kid… managed to push me so far.” Sango said grinning. “Thanks to this fight… I don’t think I have much longer on this earth. However, I still have enough energy to kill you all!” Sango shouted, his hearing now restored from the ruins. The sound of Sango’s voice made Junbei awaken from his sleeping position, his eyes almost ghastly, filled with frustration from Sango’s response.

“Enough Sango!” Junbei shouted, the Songbird Captain shouted, his stance shaky from exhaustion and the wounds sustained from Sango. “I win. You can’t move.” Junbei declared. “As correct as you are… you can’t either.” Sango said grinning. Entering into the scope of both men’s Haki, an injured guard wearing Shandia clothing crashed landed at the ruins. “Pedro!” Sango announced alarmed. “Chief… It’s bad… the situation at the Shrine… God’s… been attacked!” the Winged Council member, Pedro announced. Sango’s eyes expanded widely, the information Junbei and Juju shared about Prometheus came into fruition. “That snake… I was planning to deal with him after this brat… but in this state it’s pointless.” Sango stated, breathing heavily and tattered.

“God’s dead? There goes my plan of talking him out of this Human Consensus Act!” Junbei exclaimed falling to the ground on his back staring at the sky. “Jade! Juju! Charlotte! Caprice! When did you guys get here!? Where’s Nico!?” Junbei said, with his left eye half open, grinning at his crew, glad that they were all safe. “Idiot! You think an outsider could change God’s mind on the Act.” Sango stated falling to the ground as well. “If I don’t try… Isabella would be crying in heaven.” Junbei responded grinning. “You think you know her so well don’t you. She was spoiled, ill-mannered, uncultured for a lady of the court.” Sango exclaimed chuckling slightly.

“I know right! But you couldn’t help but love her, Rishi Rishi!” Junbei bellowed out, wincing at his wounds. “Your such a creeper. You even took her laugh.” Sango said smiling. “I can feel your emotions ya know… You felt good to hear it again. Nostalgic isn’t it?” Junbei responded. “Shut up!” Sango shouted. “Hey… I don’t really care about your God honestly. He created this whole mess… in my opinion he’s better off dead. However, I don’t agree with Prometheus’ actions. So, if you need a hand, me and my crew would be glad to give you some back up.” Junbei announced.

Sango began to chuckled, “After killing all my men… you seriously think I’d want your help?” Sango inquired. “Casualties of War. As cruel as it sounds, that’s the truth. Besides… There’s a way to bring them all back isn’t there. The Wingless. Your people… all those who lost their life on Angel Island. If the trumpet's real… Then you know the truth…” Junbei said grinning. “Apollo’s Trumpet, the instrument of Light and Life. If you can play it right, you’d be able restore the lives of anyone who hears it’s tune.” Sango explained. “Your meaning to tell me… you knew this the whole time… That’s why you fought with no reserves… Even saving the Wingless Slavers… seemed to be in your plan as well… You’re a complex man.” Sango explained piecing together the musician's rationale with an astonished expression.

“Of course. How else am I ever going to become Pirate King!? If I can't even pull off a small miracle like that!” Junbei said grinning. Night fell upon Skypiea, back at the Shrine, Prometheus commanded Chance and Raven to be once again, placed in shackles and guarded.

Managing to break free of his restraints, Nico travelled through the area where Junbei and Sango had their fight. The distorted and destroyed terrain set a feeling of uneasiness in Nico’s chest. The smell of the now rotten carcasses left an unforgettable scent on Nico’s nose and platte, causing the man the vomit several times on his journey to the beanstalk. After inspecting the large vine growth, Nico rode the pulley system to the peak of the stalk, revealing the encampment of the Songbird’s around a small bonfire. Covered in bandages and bruises, Sango sat rested against the tree asleep and Junbei was being guarded by Juju and Caprice. “Looks like I’ve walked into a very odd scene.” Nico stated. “Hoho… We thought you were a goner.” Juju stated peering with one eye open, Caprice half asleep from the look-out, it now being well past the child’s usual sleeping hours. “Pervert Jazz dude… you’re alive!” Caprice exclaimed before passing out into a deep sleep. “Pervert… Jazz… You willing to tell me exactly what’s going on here?” Nico inquired. “Hoho… Jade. I think you should explain everything that happened before Nico’s arrival.” Juju stated.

Rewinding the story five hours, as the sun was now setting in the sky, both fighters, Sango and Junbei lied motionless. Pedro, the noble began to fill in all present of the current state of events at the Shrine. “Prometheus… and this army of grotesque winged.. Creatures… the best way I can describe them are currently usurping the Shrine. From what I’ve been told before fleeing for assistance from the White Berets, God’s already been slain.” Pedro stated, his hands still trembling from the scenes he saw. “It was like his army was emotionless… They had nothing in their expressions that equated life, they just flew and moved like monsters.” Pedro concluded. “How long will it take to get from the ruins to the Shrine?” Junbei inquired, wincing at the very action of speaking as Jade helped him off the ground against his shoulder, “Thanks Jadey!” Junbei exclaimed grinning, breathing heavily still from the grueling conflict. “In our current state, it’d take us at least a whole day’s travel with our injuries.” Sango stated, still unable to move from the exhaustion. “The ruins might heal my wounds but it’s taxing on my stamina.” Sango stated, crawling over to a tree which he propped his back against. “Hehe… I got something that’ll patch us up. I just need a night’s rest.” Junbei responded.

After Jade’s explanation of the prior conversations, Nico plopped onto the floor. “So we wait until daybreak and save the Shrine from this Pillar… I’m against it.” Nico stated. “Look. I’ve been following around Red Head since he freed me but ultimately, it’s my choice whether I continue with this crew or not… I’m not helping a society of people who imprisoned me for their own personal entertainment… for all I care, they can all be enslaved.” Nico exclaimed bitterly. Getting down on his knees, dirting his green kimono, Juju’s forehead touched the ground. “I’m sorry for the injustices my people have caused to you. If you chose not to fight, I completely understand.” Juju said remorsefully. “However, this is for you.” Juju said getting up from his kneeled position, the man walked over to the small workshop he’d build in his tent. Turning over a bazooka to Nico and revealing a new glaive he’d made from raiding the ruins during the hours the others rested. “I’ve been working on these since I first met Junbei. I figured storing them near here would let fate decide if we ever use them. The little one said he doesn’t use guns and the woman uses arrows, I think you’d be the perfect fit for this weapon. You and that hot headed vigor of yours.” Juju stated. “And what’s stopping me from using this Bazooka on that sleeping Chief over there?” Nico inquired as he took the weapon. “Because… I already know the kind of heart you possess, Young One.” Juju said grinning. “Tch. Moving with you guys has made soft.” Nico stated.

As everyone slept, Junbei woke up during the dead of the night, Juju on watch and Sango awake peering into the bonfire ominously. The pain from his wounds was a bit more bearable, adding to the fact that his body was genetically enhanced, where his nerve endings was null at receiving pain. Whistling towards Juju, the three men sat around the fire and began to engage in conversation. “Was it always like this?” Junbei inquired to the two men. “I know I sound like a broken record but can you guys even remember a time when the Wingless and the Winged… no Skypieans and Humans lived in harmony?” Junbei inquired. Sango digged into his aides pouch, revealing a small jug of Sake, attached to it were four cups. Dipping his cup into the alcohol before tossing the jug, the man sipped slowly. “Of course there was a time. Times are different in every society… It’s just at this point… It is what it is.” Sango stated. “Hoho… You’re young boy… everything will make sense to you know in youth. A clear cut right and wrong but when you get to our ages… That line isn’t as clear anymore.” Juju responded. “I harbour no hatred towards the Wingless…” Sango revealed. “I just hate those who stole the woman I loved from me.” Sango commented. “I’ve never hated anyone… I’ve travelled too much… Seeing your kind, much like ours engage in so much war… We are neither superior or inferior, I’d say we are about equal.” Juju commented. “I’m not that much of an idealistic fool. The only reason I’m getting involved in this whole mess is because of Isabella. I’m not as heroic as a freedom fighter… I think I’ve met someone who already walks that path… I can feel it in his aura… The burden or chip that he carries on his shoulders.” Junbei commented, taking the jug and dipping his cup, sipping the Sake under the moonlight woke up the numbness in his jaws with a slight burn. Thinking about Cyrus, Junbei had remembered he’d had his number, he definitely should check up on him after this ordeal, it’s been awhile since he’d shared a good drink with his old friend.

He wondered what kind of trouble he was getting himself into, if the Revolutionary Army was paying him and if he’d been generally okay, smiling to himself, Juju dipped his cup into the Sake, along with another, sliding it next to Jade. “How long are you going to pretend to sleep Jade? You’re not that deep a sleeper in situations like this anyway?” Junbei commented, clapping his sandals together for his Vice Captain to awaken. “Let’s have a toast. To our differences. After tomorrow… This whole ordeal will come to some conclusion or another!” Junbei commented.
