The South Blue. This would be Gerard's first trip outside of his home ocean, and he would be lying if he said he wasn't excited. Though today was not a casual cruise. Gerard was here for a reason.
After unlocking the magical force that was Haki, Gerard had attempted to track own his shichibukai partner Nico Moretti. After all, what good was a partnership if nobody benefitted? He then learned that he had set off for the Calm Belt and, well, that's when problems cropped up. The Calm Belt was a dangerous patch of ocean, populated by Seakings. And even though the Grand Steamer was a fine ship, a Seaking would rip her apart. Unless she was equipped with a seastone hull.
And that's why he was here. To get seastone. Sure, it sounded weird for a Devil Fruit user to actively seek it out, but he couldn't find anywhere in the North Blue who could do t. So, if the North couldn't help, try the south.
"We're approaching the Briss Kingdom now," Alisa informed him as they approached the island. With no leads to go off of, they decided to try each island until they found what they were looking for. From a distance, the island looked respectable enough. Well built, clean, a place that was sure to have the resources that Gerard sought. As the gas man stood on the deck, he looked over the island with an approving eye.
Slowly, the Grand Steamer pulled into port.
