Auburn Songbird - 'We're all caged bird's waiting for someone to hear our sound.'

Task 1 :

Flashback - South Blue - Base #45

"Welcome to the Super Solider Program, G.O.D." Derous said smiling. "This project was made for the marines to save children like you from the life of crime and depravity. In exchange for shelter and nourishment, you're bodies will be surrendered to us for any experiments." Derous stated. "However." the man said, pausing with his Devilish Grin. "Not to worry... Among the Cipher Pol... and Marine Core... You'll be probed by the finest medical minds." Derous concluded. The smell of fresh urine leaked onto the floor down one of the children's trousers, until the puddle forming beneath his shoes trickled from his shoes onto the those standing in line with him. Jumping aversely away from the discharge, the other children shunned the child, "Subject #005... Enrolled into the Echo project... Junbei was it?" Derous inquired staring at the urine drenched brat. Unable to speak, the child only made apologetic gestures with his hand, his body trembling in fear. Walking over towards Junbei, Derous would place his hand on the child's shoulder, and signal for his men to clean up the floor. "No need to be afraid kid. I heard about your situation... You can't talk or speak. Judging from the examinations... It's definitely not a physiological problem... So it must be a mental one. Candidates like yourself are perfect for project echo." Derous grinned. Whispering in the child's ear, "Do you know why... Junbei? Because... You already have a sense of detachment from this world. Drilling pure pain into your body... Giving you a sense of reality... and then stripping that from you... in a pure biological manner... Superb. It's the best high I'll ever get." Derous concluded. Moments after, not being able to process all of his words, Junbei passed out.

The next few moments, Junbei was in his room, clothes changed and in a room with two bunk beds, one being his own, and another opposite in the small jail cell sized room. Lunging up, he'd stare through the barred window, seeing nothing but the sea for miles upon miles outward. It was a view he worked hard in those few seconds to achieve, after moving around a dresser, using it was a makeshift ladder to peer out onto the open sea. "Hey kid." one of his roommates shouted, breaking Junbei's dazed state. Turning around, the munchkin red head around 3ft' turned around to his cellmate who was about a foot taller. "Is it true you really can't talk?" the male inquired. Nodding his head in the 'Yes' motion, the child began to walk over to his position by the window, sitting on the bottom bunk. "That's pretty interesting. Where you always like this!?" the child asked with a weird gleam in his eyes. Waking up the other two roommates, the two crawled over to their position by the window. "It's too early in the morning for this much noise..." one of the children moaned. "Ah. The Bed Wetter is up." the other child commented rudely. "Oi! That's not his fault! We were all terrified when we first got here too!" the child on the bunk shouted, rocking back and worth on the bunk bed. "Ah. How rude. I never even introduced myself. My name is Cody. Cody Wiggins. Nice to meet ya'. That rude brat over there... Her name is Marsh. The sleepy head's name, his name is Jules. Much like you Junbei... We're all caged birds." Cody explained.

Forcing the words out painfully sonically, "Wh- is- this- place?" Junbei would inquire, as loud enough as seemingly a whisper. It was as if his brain couldn't process his own speech, they'd sound like the cries of a Whale or maybe even a whimpering dog. "Took a lot out of you to say that huh?" Cody inquired grinning brightly. "To summarise it... This is a place the Marines created to make a special Branch of soldiers. Branch 88, they call it. They create mutant humans and send them off to fight the most dangerous criminals on the sea. It's been widely successful. Now they're trying to make more obscure projects like us." Cody explained. "The experiment being done on us is simple... They want to erase our threshold for pain. I even heard they were able to make some experiments produce stuff like electricity and flames. However, those are only rumours at this point." Cody stated.

Meanwhile on Level 5, Freezing Hell, Nico stood in his cell shivering from the immense cold. "It's been days since I've seen Junbei. His eyes... He's lost his will." Nico stated. "This is probably the worse possible situation that could've happened." Nico concluded. "Of all people.. Octavia's death... It should've been me." Nico said, bashing head into the Snow on his cells floor. "Think... They must be a way out of this." Nico whispered to himself.

Auburn Songbird - 'We're all caged bird's waiting for someone to hear our sound.'

Shivering immensely, to almost an Hypothermic state, Nico sat inside of his cell, quite in resolve. The inmates in his cell were literally frozen to death, some remains of shackles stained in blood were present in the cell and even bite/claw marks scattered across the chest cages of several frozen prisoners. What made their anatomy so interesting was the fact that, many of them were actually still alive, just afraid to speak in fear of their jaw freezing open or them lips breaking from the chapped state they were left in from the levels immense cold. "If I stay idle... my joints will freeze up... and then it's game over." Nico thought to himself. Lifting himself off the ground, with tremendous effort, still banged up from the damage sustained from Howard's wide spread attack, what made the Marksman lucky was his positioning in the building back on Fishman Island. The walls of the Candy Factory were as thick as Seastone, so by the time the shockwave disbursed, he was more crushed by the force of the debris, than the shockwave itself. Using his Kenbunshoku Haki, he was able to avoid fatal chunks of flying stone that was aiming for his major organs, leaving him with several major bruises but not as bad Junbei's condition. Once on his feet, the man would begin rub his feet into floor, the rubber bottoms barely able to clear a small quantity of the snow away, and without any further delay, Nico began to dance. "Once I've gotten my body warm enough for at least movement, I'll try to construct a plan out of here. The first rule of espionage work... Know the tools your working with." Nico thought. At first, the man's movements were a bit stiff, the combination of the conditions and the shackles, didn't allow the man to Flamingo Dance like he once did on the streets of Baltigo, but in time, as he managed to push his body further above it's usual BPM rate, a light perspiration commenced.

Meanwhile on Level 6, the prisoners who'd been chomping at the bit in the surrounding cells began to beckon and call for the Yonko and the Commander in Taisen's Army. "JUNBEI!" a familiar Fishman's voice silenced all of the rest. "YOU LITTLE SHIT! AN INFERIOR HUMAN LIKE YOU DEFEATED ME AND YOU DISGRACE MY NAME BY BEING CAPTURED!" Tidus shouted, his colossal voice shook the whole level. At this stage, no voice could've reached the Auburn Songbird. It was a combination of things honestly, Howard's attack had caused Junbei's brain to rattle around in his head, leaving him with similar symptoms to that of Punch Drunk Syndrome. Along with this, Junbei's past of mental health conditions with hallucinations and schizophrenia had all come ahead from the shock of losing his crewmates. Eventually, the damage to his skull would subside, once the swelling goes down and the doctors at Down had force fed him medication to stop the internal bleeding. However, the fractures on his body would take at least two months maximum to heal, unless met with some kind of proper medical treatment. After a few weeks, walking and motion would be possible, but the mental coma Junbei was currently stuck in, placed him a zombie like state. He'd refuse to eat, move, interact or even respond to any of the prisoners or guards instructions, hackles and comments about him. Which caused a few of them to be infuriated, spitting in his face and even slapping him about until the Yonko's cold eyes would creep them out enough for them to retreat. In Junbei's coma, his mind was fixated on his First Days on Base #45.

The routine on Base #45 for experiments was simple, everyday they would wake up and eat a regimen breakfast, lunch and dinner, which was also supplemented with their specific medication and experimental drugs for the study they'd been placed into. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Thursdays were physical activity days, were the experiments would be subjected to a work out schedule, keeping their bodies above average physical status in terms of fitness. On the off days, the orphans were subjected to series of mental, physical and chemical testing, which subsequently ended based on how long their bodies could withstand the experiment before passing out, which was nearly impossible due to the Uppers they'd be shot up on to keep them awake. Every Monday was always the worst day, Junbei's first Monday was still cemented in his mind as if it was yesterday. He was escorted away from his friends down a long hallway, which was white in theme, the doors, floors and ceilings were all white, no definitive or outstanding decorations or design. At the end of the hallway, was a fork to two short corridors, which held the entrance to five doors, numbered 1 through 5. As Junbei continued through the experiments, he'd learn later that each room was the stages of whether the experiment was successful or not, but for now, much of his cellmates would talk about the room numbered 'One'. After entering the room, Derous or one of his handlers would be waiting, the room itself was themed and subjugated as a normal run of the mill doctor's office and they attendant or Derous would always be in scrubs. However, on the first day, Derous was always there. His mask so tightly fit that his smile could've been seen pressing against the outline of the cheap white cotton fabric.

"Did you know... that far before humans stomped the earth... Demons and Gods did." Derous began. "They were humans too but with much more entitlement you could say." Derous trailed on. "And each of them had rare superhuman abilities... Because of how dated the text was... I'm not sure if they were natural or Devil Fruit driven... but when I got my hands on these records. I become obsessed with having Super Humans of my own." Derous stated. "Except... I don't want them to fight amongst themselves. I want them to do my bidding- Oops, the World Government's bidding. So anytime you feel pain... or sadness... It's not our fault. It's the Pirates. The Revolutionaries. That common criminal in all walks of life... You weren't able to be a normal orphan because of them!" Derous shouted. "BUT HAVE NO FEAR! Together... We'll wipe them all out." Derous concluded.
"And then... You'll be able to have a normal life too." Derous said smiling.  After he'd finish his speech, he'd reach into desks around the room, assembling a tray of several syringes and vials, but one thing was different about the first day, a small hand pocket drill. And with that, with no anaesthetics, Derous would began making several incisions into the skull of the orphans. Many of them, died on the first day, the shock alone was never enough for even the adult's hearts. After placing small mechanical probes on the lining of the brain, they'd be patched up and the next victim would be ushered in.

Auburn Songbird - 'We're all caged bird's waiting for someone to hear our sound.'

After a few hours of stretches, two-steps and swaying, Nico's body was now dripping in sweat, his chest cage expanding in and out rapidly at the increased labour placed upon his body. Nico was fairly fit, so it took a bit of time for his body to get revved up, but holding his breath in between the exercises caused his body to undergo the same process as humans who'd exercised using Anabolic Training. "Alright." Nico exclaimed. Checking the durability of his shoes by stamping a few times against the floor of the cell, Nico knew his sweaty state would be a gift and a curse. For the minute his body began to cool down or if he was hit by a strong breeze, it'd be endgame for him. Examining the cage he was placed in, he'd noticed that certain areas in the cell had been more frost bite or frozen than the others. Using the shackles around his wrists similar to brass knuckles, Nico would began to slam his wrist shackles against weaken bars, which began to crack at the force of the impact. After a few more shots, he'd realise that the metal beneath the frozen bars were still fairly tough and that force wouldn't be strong enough alone to escape the cage. Activating his Kenbunshoku Haki, Nico's abilities to sense auras heightened, he'd examine the position of 'Guards' who he'd note to often move in packs of two or three, and the other auras as what appeared to be animals, in much larger groups, not off about two hundred or so meters away from his Cell from the North and West. About six hundred meters from his position to East was the entrance connecting Level 4 and Level 5. To the South, seemed to be baron less with snow about several inches deep. Centring his Haki on the cage, he'd search for any breaks in the cage itself, any weak spot he could expose with his Kenbunshoku would be useful. After a few minutes had passed, Nico would jump into mid-air, stomping forward at the lock on the cage, it's contents Iron in make. Subsequent from completing the first impact, a cracking noise could've been heard. After two more strikes, the cage would break open. Checking the pulses of his inmates, most of them were on death's doors, others, even if they would've once been overjoyed about breaking free, they knew that what lied outside the cages contents was much more horrendous. It was in this moment that Nico was confused, on the faces of each inmate, a grin appeared from the rigid motion of their jaws extending. They knew that it'd be the end for Nico, and seeing new inmates thrive to escape, only ultimately to be caught and beaten by patrolling guards or even worse, mauled by wolves, left the men with immense pleasure.

Continuously using his Haki, he'd examined the position of the guards on patrol. Shutting the cell door in once again, Nico would take off his issued shirt, drenched in sweat and wrap it around the cage, temporarily sealing it shut. Nico would drop onto his knees, cementing his position in the snow and began to do super-sets of push-ups. He'd continue this for multiple sets until the two guards on patrol came closer, about hundred meters in scope. The guards would continue their motion, checking all the cages along the line leading up to Nico's. Had this been any other level where the Camera Den Den Mushi communications could've worked, this would've been labelled a break-out, surely. However, on this level, even if inmates escape, they'd usual wonder until being caught or die from the elements in play. Eight meters, Nico could now see the guards from his downward burpee, and snow had already covered his body giving him a sort of camouflage. Pushing up, he'd lunge towards the guards, only when they were about two meters away. Staggering into a run, the jailers startled by the freed prisoner, unable to make out Nico's face at this point, reached for their weapons. One carrying a baton, and another carried a vintage pistol. It'd be at this moment Nico would grin, managing to close the distance between himself at the pistol carrier, Nico would smudge his hand in the man's face, reaching for the pistol at his waist. After obtaining the pistol, he'd fire single shot to the neighbouring jailer's head, before lunging backwards. Terrified at his dead comrade's body, the jailer attempted to retreat until to an area to send in a report but Nico's second shot ended his escape, dying a few feet off from their current position. "Shit." Nico exclaimed, noticing the light weight of the pistol in hand. Opening the barrel, "Only one shot left." Nico stated.

Tres Iron Lotus

The Songbird's sat inside of a boardroom, secluded in Egypt in silence from the news that'd just been delivered to them. "And you're positive about this... Juju?" Charlotte said with the grimmest gleam in her eyes. "Hohoho... Positive. I followed Junbei's Vivi Card since it was burning about three days ago... It led me into the Calm Belt. By air, it took me about two days... If I'd know where I was going at first. By ship, about seven days, a week at most." Juju commented. "The Calm Belt... With Dutchman... It'd repel Sea King's due to it's Sea Stone Hull... but leading a platoon through that area... It'd be risky." Charlotte stated. Slamming his hands on the table, "What's the real issue is where he is... If this Old Man isn't being delirious... He's at Impel Down. That place is no joke. It's a criminals nightmare. The chances of breaking Junbei out just dropped exponentially." Caprice stated. "We need to devise a plan like yesterday. They're definitely going to murk him." Caprice continued. "And what do you devise we do... Caprice? Since you seem to know it all?" Charlotte inquired smugly. "Kill em' all. Junbei's a softie at heart. He'd be against aimless killing but what else choice do we have? 'PLEASE MR.WARDEN... LET OUR BOSS OUT?' Please. Murder em' all. Take the Pacifista's, secure Junbei and burn it to the ground. " Caprice said sternly.

Cipher Pol - Enies Lobby (Thirteen Years Ago)
Cipher Pol 1 - Book Agent Office

"Recruit Laverna!" the Cipher Pol Booking Agent shouted. "Yes sir!" the recruited Winged woman responded. "Usually we'd never put a rookie on a mission like this but given your track record and the information you've given us about Skypiea's disorder. We've decided to put you undercover."  the Agent commented, rocking back and forth in his leather computer chair. "Are you aware of Base #45?" the Booking Agent asked. "Hmm... That's the Marine Base where human experimentation has been going on correct?" Laverna inquired. "Yeah. For a long time the boys upstairs had turned an eye to their actions due to Rear Admiral's Derous pull in the political world and his first products, the Three Super Humans who've been working closely in the Cipher 7 to book New World Pirates. However, after those projects... it's reported his experiments became a bit more brutal. Furthermore... more and more orphans are going missing without a trace of records on their whereabouts and the experiments done." the Agent commented. "So the guys upstairs don't want to step on Derous toes but at the same time, they don't want too loose any future monsters for their dirty work?" Laverna said chuckling. "Oi. I wouldn't talk like that around the other agents Laverna. Though, you're correct." the Agent said sighing. "As one of the younger recruits, we want to send you in cold. You're to have no contact with us until three months in and even then, you'll only have one or two handlers who've been spying their for about three years now. They'll be in charge of relaying your reports back to us. He's been experimented with Winged by cutting off their wings-" Booking Agent stated but his words were frozen by the cold stare in Laverna's eyes. "AHmph..." the Agent said clearing his throat. "I know... Arguably... It's a sensitive situation. Since we found out his experiments are now targeting different races... The World Government doesn't want that information leaking and getting out to the public." the Agent concluded. "I've heard enough. What's my angle? I swear though Charlie... If they kill a single Winged in my presence... I'm going to build up a case against this Derous person. With my Devil Fruit abilities... Losing a Wing or two won't be a problem... I can just regenerate them." Laverna rebutted. "True but you can't let that information become privy to them. You're name will be Isabella. That's it. You'll be an orphan whose dream of escaping is to become a Pirate who'll get revenge on the Base and aim towards being a Pirate Queen." Charlie explained. Breaking out into laughter, "Rishi Rishi Rishi... Who in the world wrote that mission profile?" Laverna inquired, with tears filling her eyes. Pausing for a second to catch her breath, "I guess it's romantic in a sense." Isabella said grinning.

One Year Later - Base #45

"Now let's begin the experiment." Derous said, staring towards Junbei who had been escorted into the room and strapped onto the doctor's examination table. Sticking the syringe into a vial, Derous would retract it's plunger, to suction the liquid into it's barrel. "Enough romanticising. This chemical is called 'Echo Cell Punch'. Sounds like a party drink I know but I promise it's nothing such. It's serum that alters the way your brain processes pain. In small doses, it can temporarily null the way your body accepts and processes pain in a sense. The side of effects of course being that you're body can be mortally wounded and prolong motion can lead to fatalities or permanent cell damage. However, with a few electrotherapy experiments I hope to curve the way your brain processes pain overall." Derous explained, walking towards Junbei filled syringe in hand. Jerking around in the chair in fear, Junbei tried to free himself but using a blast of his Haoshoku Haki, Junbei was frozen still from movement. Injecting the syringe into his arm, specifically targeting a blood vessel, the Echo Cell took it's effect. In that moment, Junbei's eyes became dilated, his iris colour changing from it's predisposed Emerald Green, to a dark Crimson Red. "Now the stimulant. This drug is called Wild Fire. It'll burn all of your nerve synapse edges. Oh, and it'll hurt... alot. Actually, even imagine millions upon millions of needle pricking violently into each pore on the surface of your epidermis." Derous said smiling happily. As the second barrel emptied into Junbei's arm, almost immediately the last ounce was administered, the mute's voice struggle to come out but his voicebox couldn't correspond with the pain. Leaving Junbei to mumble in pain, his moans similar to that of a dying oxen. Foaming from his mouth, tears like rainfall from the heavens spewed from his eyes and temperatures around 107 F caused him to sweat buckets to nearly half barrel filled of liquid due to perspiration. When Junbei tried to pass out, Derous would take a small brace device, attach it to the child's hand and administer around 1000V's of electricity to keep the orphan awake. This process would continue for several hours, the Echo Cell numbing the pain and the Wild Fire continuing to burn out his nerve endings. All while, Derous took notice on the level of pain, the reactions of the patients to said pain on a threshold scale and the amount of times the patient would attempt to pass out among others things for the experiments period. At the end, when the drugs initial effects had worn off, Derous would unstrap the patient, who'd either try to run from the room, only to pass out or they'd simply be frozen from the mental trauma. However, on this day, Junbei, who'd been wincing in pain at first, did something that no other patient had ever done, the child, ten years of age, would simply look at Derous, and oddly, smile.

Once over, Junbei would pass out and wake up hours later in his room. "Hey!" Cody's voice could've been heard ringing in Junbei's eardrums. Opening his eyes, the child would come to, around the bunk was Cody, Marsha and Jules, the other two of his roommates. Exhaling a sigh of relief, "Don't scare us like that... We thought you'd died... The last four orphans didn't react so well..." Cody said. Junbei tried to move and turn his head towards Cody but that action was futile. "Don't try to move! The drugs mess with your motor capabilities... You're brain won't be able to process motion for a while. It happened to all of us. The fact you can even open your eyes is a miracle... It's usually signs that you won't loose your ability to walk." Cody said smiling. "I guess he's not that much of a pussy after all." Marsh chimed in. "OI!" Cody shouted nudging the girl. "He's still a bed wetter." Jules said teasingly, sticking out his tongue and winking at the Red Head. Unable to talk still, Junbei would only watch the trio interact, grinning to himself. They'd seemed friendly, friendship was something he wasn't accustomed too. After being outcast by his Father and Siblings, his only friend was his late mother... and even those memories we're too painful to revisit, the day she died was the last day Junbei spoke. Without even noticing it, the Red Head Orphan had began to cry, a silent kind that was only noticed until Marsh pointed it out. "HEY! DOES SOMEWHERE HURT!?" Cody exclaimed, turning towards Junbei worried.

"Idiot. He can't feel pain... How could somewhere hurt?"
Marsh chimed in. "Whoa... Cody's so insensitive. Sorry kid." Jules responded. They'd continue to hover around Junbei for several hours, sharing stories and background about their lives in various parts of the world, keeping the Red Head thrilled with their details about family, love, food and households. Not all orphans didn't have parents or places to live, he'd think to himself. After a while, the conversation about piracy came up. Wiggins, idolised Wallace, while the others looked up to Pirate Rookies like Mona Barbados and Vega Stigan, who were young stags making waves in the World at the time, shortly after, one after the next, Marsh and Jules would fall asleep. It was then, the conversation that would change Junbei's life forever would commence. "Hey. Junbei. I have something serious to ask you. If you make it out of here... Would you like to join my Captain's Crew? You could do whatever you want... Cook... Fish... Wet your bed... Hehe... Kidding." Cody said, pausing when he saw how embarrassed Junbei was at the constant reminder of him wetting his pants. "However... I want to make this woman Pirate Queen." Cody said smiling, placing his folded fist over his chest. Finally regaining some feeling, Junbei would sit up, turning towards Cody and grasping his fist. Nodding slightly, he'd shoot the boy a yes, as if to say, 'Of course.'. "Hehe... Really!? AWESOME!" Cody exclaimed. "It'll be tough. We'll be wanted by the whole world... and some days might be tougher than others. However, I'll protect you with these fists of mine." Cody shot Junbei the broadest grin of all. Returning the grin with a gentle nod, Cody's words shone as bright as the moonlight that trickled into the room. As the whole room illuminated from the Luna's Rays, the child's question was met with a bold grin from Junbei. "Welcome to the Songbird Pirates, Jun." Cody said grinning. "You'll meet our Captain tomorrow... She's a little rough around the edges but she's the boss of this place, well, at least among the orphans. Her name is Isabella. She plays a mean piano." Cody said grinning. Getting up from Junbei's bedside, as the other two roommates slept, Cody would stair out the bars on the window, towards the Bright Moon in the sky. "Do you know Junbei... Why we're called the Songbird Pirates?" Cody asked, looking over his shoulder towards the seated child.

Present Time - Impel Down

At this moment, Junbei regained consciousness in his cell. His eyes regain a bit of colour, he'd hear a voice from an adjacent cell calling to him, among the noise and clatter from the other prisoners, bellowing his name. However, this woman's voice pierced through them all, as it was firm but warm, and among all the rowdy shouts, it stood out above everything else. "Auburn Songbird... If you can hear me... Speak." the woman's voice called. Rattling around restlessly, his body and feet chained onto the wall in seastone shackles, he'd shout, "Is someone calling for me!?" Junbei inquired, pressing his ear against the wall. "Finally... You responded." the woman rebutted. It was at that moment, that a wave of Haoshoku Haki ran through the cells with thirty-meters of range, silencing Tidus and a few other inmates who'd been shouting Death Threats at Junbei. Junbei's eyes would open widely in shock, barely fighting to keep consciousness himself. "Good. Their voices were starting to really piss me off." the strange woman said sighing. "I really hate when people talk over me yah know." she'd said in a more crude but personal tone. "I've been calling out towards you for days now... but you seemed pretty out of it." she continued. "I've heard whispers of you around the guards and scrap of information I'd ease drop on from the Coo. Any man with a name like Songbird Pirates is a man I'd want to meet. I quite like Songbirds, well, the animal that is." the woman said. "Rishi Rishi... The only reason you're talking to me now... is because my Crew's name was Songbird Pirates?" Junbei said, spitefully. "Yup. Don't have to be so sensitive about it. Jeez. Whatta ya mean by 'was'?" the woman inquired. "Ha. I guess you didn't hear enough." Junbei responded, slouching slightly. "My First Mate... and Crew Mate... are dead." Junbei stated. The mysterious woman broke out in laughter. "That's what yer' sad about!?" the woman exclaimed. Annoyed, "OI. What are you laughing at!?" Junbei shouted. Ceasing her laughter, "I'm laughing at yer' Will. First Mate? Crew Mate? Anyone who lives a life as a Pirate has to be prepared for those consequences. I heard rumours you'd been running around saying you want to be the Next Pirate King and that'd you flatten Oceanus... but if your Will is so weak to be crushed by a few deaths... then you don't deserve the title." the woman said bluntly. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU GET OFF TELLING ME THAT!?" Junbei shouted until tears filled his eyes. Unable to wipe his own tears, the man's forehead slammed against the wall. "EVERYONE AROUND ME SINCE I WAS A CHILD JUST ENDS UP DEAD. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO? JUST SHRUG EVERYTHING OVER MY SHOULDER AND KEEP MOVING ON!? HUH!? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I AM LADY!?" Junbei shouted. "I'M DONE. JUNBEI VON ECHO IS DEAD. I CAN'T... I CAN'T LOOSE ANYONE ELSE. NOT CHARLOTTE. NOT CAPRICE. NOT JUJU. I CAN'T." Junbei shouted.

"Baha." the woman exclaimed. "You're much more selfish than I envisioned. People die kid. Whether you were around or not... It's the rules of the Jungle. The Strong will live and the weak will die. Plain and Simple." the woman explained. "Now! Before yer' go screaming again and get yer panties in a ruffle... Listen to me first okay." the woman stated. "I have a Captain whose just like you... When we lost the first time... She blamed herself for this all. All she would repeat is 'Sorry.'" the woman said. "Until one day... A lot of our men and women died. She took it pretty rough. I've been losing people close to me since I was five, death was so normal to me, so I never took it on." the woman stated. "However, did you know what her response was after her remorse?" the woman inquired. "I'll get stronger." the woman said. "No matter how many times we lost... No matter how many times we won, she'd say the same thing." the woman concluded. Junbei's mind went back to Cody's words on that night, "No matter how many times a Songbird's in caged... No matter how many times he sings his song for his owner... One day... That cage will open. And without a shadow of a doubt... That bird will fly away." Cody's words chimed through. "Getting stronger means... Fighting for your own freedom. What's your freedom, Jun? And how hard are you willing to fight for it?" Cody inquired.

Exit.
