Here it was, The Iron King Tournament. This is where he would solidify himself as the King of All Fighters which would subsequently give him Karate Island. He never wanted or needed to be the master of any dojo. All he needed was this. First he would become the King of the Streets then he would become the King of The Sea. This tournament held every King of fighter in the world from several different eras. He was the current Iron king which meant he was the primary target. Everyone would be gunning for him to prove that they were the superior fighter. He would have to make an example of them all and claim his crown. They had announced the first bout and he was not included fortunately he would get a chance to observe the stock of his fellow Kings. The contest he watched was a fine display or at least it was in the opening rounds. These guys were no pushovers they had real skill and real training. Most of them had been fighting on the streets since they could walk. He wouldn’t miss a beat making sure he took in the strengths and weaknesses he perceived of every fighter.
It was then that he saw his name on the overhead board. He lifted himself from his chair and made his way to the arena and the crowd exploded as the current Iron King Champion made his way to what looked to be a steel cage. He felt hands grazing his shoulder as he walked. He wore a sleeveless hoody with it drawn up. He didn’t pay attention to the crowd he was focused on the arena. Usually the opponent would be in the arena already his entrance last as the respect afforded to the Iron King. But they were all Iron Kings here and were treated as equals in and out of the ring. His first opponent was known as The Whispering Wind. He had heard of the name throughout his underground career especially when he first came up. The man was highly respected in the fight world even to this day. Qilin stepped into what was known as The Iron Ring.
He wore a sleeveless black hoodie with loose cargo pants. His hands were heavily taped except around the knuckles. The tape was more or less for wrist integrity and to stop the fingers from spreading. He hoped around a bit and threw a few shadow punches as his opponent mirrored his actions and made his way to the ring. There were no officials in an Iron Match and this was the king of them all. The two men charged at each other and the whispering wind seemed to spin rapidly like a hurricane knocking Qilin back into the metal gate that surrounded them. He winced as the barbed metal dug into his flesh adding to the assortment of scars that previously decorated his body.
