Task Details:

"So, this is Briss Kingdom. So large," Axel said as he entered the port town of the island from the dock. It was sunny out which and the wind wasn't as strong as it had been that week. Because of this, a lot of people were out and about around the streets, buying and selling things from the market, just chilling, playing cards on tables set up on the sidewalk, and many other activities that held their time. However, not a lot of the civilians seemed friendly, starting fights when they lost a game of cards, claiming that their opponents cheating; throwing fruits at the sellers  from the market because they looked a little rotten, and how that person would try to sell bad food like that. It was crazy, and Axel was kind of nervous being stationed here for the week, but if anything got out of hand he always had his guns on him. The marksman was known to be a pretty fast gunslinger in the marines, and his precision was right on. At the moment he was headed to the marine base on the south side of the island, so that was quite a walk, but the marine didn't sweat it because he didn't have to report in for a few more hours.

Passing through a few streets, Axel felt good about this island, and that things would work out alright, seeing that the people here were a little rough, but they were nothing that the marines couldn't deal with. That was when he turned a street corner and saw three tall blue-looking men chatting about something. Axel was quite sure that he came into contact with this race of men before. It was a week ago on that one island. Fishmen invaded, killing many of the civilians. Yep, Axel remembered. He remembered it all. The screams of men, women and children as these bloodthirsty fish began killing them, for no reason at all as far as he could tell. They weren't stealing anything. Axel gripped the revolver on his right hip, but he realized that he couldn't just shoot because they were fishmen. That would be racist. He let the gun go and kept moving through the street, but as he walked passed the three, he heard one of them speaking through a walkie talkie. "Oh, yea? Alright. Guys, that is our queue, so let's do this, heh," he said to the other two while he hung up object and put it in his pocket. A woman began walking passed the fishmen, so the one nearest to her grabbed her by the neck and forced her to face him. She was screaming, scare to death, but a bit of her voice was blocked out due to the fishman squeezing her neck. "Sorry lady, but it is not your lucky day," he said smiling. Axel suddenly heard several civilians screaming, some being heard from hundreds of meters away. It was happening again. He saw fishmen run through the blocks, and he swore that something was coming from the sky too. He was scared too, but now wasn't the time to freeze up. He took out the revolver strapped to his right hip and pointed at the head of the fishman holding the woman.

"Actually, I think it is," Axel commented on the fishman's last remark. He pulled the trigger and a round metal bullet was hurled towards this enemy, and on contact it penetrated his brain, forcing him to fall to the floor. The woman was released from his grasp and ran away. The other two fishmen were too shocked to chase her down. They were staring at Axel, angry. Axel has a furious expression on his face. Why would these people do something like this, he thought. Was it in their blood to be murderous? The only thing he knew right now is that he had to stop them.

Alice
"Ugh...", Alice grunted in displeasure. She was examining oranges from a local fruit vendor by the docks of the "Glorious" Briss Kingdom. After the most recent affairs, she'd been sent here for her stellar work on some invading pirates. It was... Kinda a promotion? Sorta? They moved her to a bigger garrison. So... She had a bigger bunk? It still said "ensign" on her rank so... It was a weird Grey area and honestly, Alice was almost one-hundred percent certain this was just an attempt to get her out of someone's hair. She wasn't exactly one for following dress codes, or protocol, or chain of command, or restraint or... A lot if things really. She just didn't think those sorts of little things helped in the long run.

That said, it didn't change the situation at hand. Inspecting these fruit's had gotten Alice, a normally chipper girl, kinda down. She'd expected them to be fresh, as they were right next to where trade and transport ships came to dock. But... These oranges were barely orange. Some were s sickly shade of green or yellow, they were bruised and generally didn't look all that appetizing. The vendor of the stand couldn't help but fix Alice an agitated glare."You actually gonna buy something, sweetheart? Or are ya just gonna stare?" Alice returned the vendor's glare with a disgusted droopy mouthed grimace. "Your wares are garbage, man. This stuff looks like it got picked either too early or too late. You're charging people for this crap? I should arrest for endangering the public and false, fucking, advertising... Freshest fruit my ass... Literally... My ass is literally fresher than this fruit." she said perfectly plainly before reaching into her pocket to pay for the rather garbage looking citrus fruit. The vendor hadn't been wrong, his fruit did look considerably better than the rest of those along the boardwalk of fruit kiosks. Before she could pay though she caught s glimpse out of her peripheral of a long sweeping red coat. She hadn't seen something like that since a shitty small town scuffle she'd been in a while ago and she swiftly dropped the fruit and hurried after the figure. He was moving at a pretty good pace and Alice was having a pretty hard time shouting over the boisterous bystanders by the boardwalk as they enjoyed themselves, whether they were gambling, fighting over gambling, cheating at gambling, fighting over cheating at gambling, or just fighting over fighting cheating at gambling.

The man, or, Alice presumed it was a man, rounded a corner and moved down a narrower street and Alice merrily followed easily clearing from the hustle and bustle of the dock, but stopped as soon as she saw the man wrap his fingers around his gun.

Did he hear her following him? Was this not the same guy? The last thing Alice wanted to do was get in a fight with a gunslinger in a narrow-ish street with lots of civilians and no cover. Thankfully the guy versed his hand off his gun and continued on, moving just past some fishy looking characters... In that they were both suspect and literally looked like fish. Alice figured that the gun thing was a silent warning of some kind? And thought against following the man any further, if it was ol' red they'd probably hook up later at the base. If not, then she probably shouldn't be following this guy. She backed around the corner and no sooner had she done it, but the familiar thunder crack of a gun went off from behind her. A few people screamed and began running, and Alice, as fast as she'd turned the corner rounded it once again.

Now that she could see the face of the man she'd been following, it was Red. His gun was still smoking as one of the freaky fishy fish men lay on the ground, blood pulling out from his nautical equivalent of a skull. His two friends stared at the guy, with their backs to Alice she couldn't see there expressions but she'd bet it was either fearful or angry. The last time this scene had played out, it'd been a group of pirates, so Alice was willing to give the guy in red the benefit of the doubt and say he didn't just gun down a fish dude in cold blood. Without a word Alice charged toward the two and with a shirt jump, extended both her legs in either direction to her sides, performing a flawless split kick, her power legs crashing into the fishy temples of the insidious amphibious goons, knocking them out easily.

"I really hope you're not actually a racist... I'd feel pretty bad if I just knocked out two tourists cuz you've got some thing against gilled folk..." she said with a worried, but half hearted smile, looking back down at the men below her. 1 was dead, for sure, he had a bullet sized hole in his brain. The blunt force from her kicks might have killed the other two, their heads had been kinda squishy...

"So uhhhhh... Do we carry them back to base or uhhh... Or what here?"

As soon as Axel shot the fishman dead, a woman came from behind the other two and pulled off a split kick, taking them both down at once. The marine was glad to see that it was the woman he saw on a small island a week ago, who helped him stop six men causing a small stir. She had a smiling but worried facial expression on her face upon asking if Axel was a racist.  His face went from furious to a small smile when he saw her, but then it turned serious a second later.

"Well, I would hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you can hear what is going on around us you will see that I am by no means a racist," Axel replied to her. Three fishmen were down on the ground in-between them, but there were plenty going around the town, killing the civilians and trashing the town. Down this street a few meters away from the two marines, one marine was raging through a crowd trying to escape the place and make it to the docks. He grabbed their heads, squeezed and then threw them aside, going for the next person. He was in the crowd too deep for Axel to aim and shoot, since he might accidentally hit an innocent. "Help me stop these guys please. I am not going to let what happened on the other island happen here," Axel instructed, keeping the serious expression on his face as he turned and ran down the street.  He saw the fishmen in the sky getting closer. Now they were close enough for the marksman to identify the objects they were riding on. Flying Fish weren't that common around South Blue, so Axel was confused how these men got a hold of so many, but he couldn't worry about that now, as there were people in immediate trouble.

The fishman that went around killing people with enjoyment noticed that his fun would have to take a pause after seeing a red coat from the corner of his eye running directly towards him, with what seemed to be a gun in his right hand. He shoved the crowd around him out of his way and starting running at Axel as well. The fish was confident in being able to get to the marine first, since they were only a few meters away from each other and he didn't take the shot yet. With a lunge, the enemy attempted to grab at Axel's face, but the gunner was able to react before that, dodge-rolling forward to the right of the fishman. He stood up and turned himself to face his target's back, pointed the revolver and put one right in the back of his head. A fishman's skull was pretty hard, but Axel upgraded all of his weapons since his last fight. His guns shot bullets with more force and the bullets were tougher. The fish fell forward, dead. Axel wasn't playing around with these guys. He used to think that even bad guys could get a second chance, but what these guys were doing... they knew the repercussions of something so vile, so they deserved this fate, in Axel's opinion.

The marine's next action was to get himself on the tallest building of the island and take out his newly acquired sniper. During his run through the blocks, turning right, left, going straight, etc., Axel got three more marines in the head, only wasting one bullet each, then found his vantage point. It was a large hotel building that had a fire escape running along the back of the building. He began to climb the ladder that would get him to the stairs that would then get him all the way up to the roof.

Alice
It was a strange realization. Alice didn't quite know howd she'd missed it. The initial gunshot she'd heard had caused a scare, fir sure... But the scare want dying down. People were still screaming and running and the occasional crack of a gun could be heard in the distance. She chalked it up to the rush of the moment and wordlessly patted her comrade on the shoulder before taking off back down the street she'd come from to head back towards the docks. People were in an absolute panic, they were screaming about fishmen and invasions. There'd been reports of of a similar nature from across the Blues but there hardly seemed to be any explanation as to why. It really bugged Alice, these guys weren't pirates or Revolutionaries, or anything of the dirt. They were just fishmen. Fishmen who had a thing for killing civilians and ruining everyone's good time.

As she backed tracked towards the docks she'd run into a few of groups fishmen doing their whole terrorist thing, usually operating in groups of two. She wasn't one to waist her time with drawn out fights so she opted to deliver swift, intensely powerful kicks to their heads as she went along, essentially bouncing from one to the next. Her kicks hit like a mean hangover from hell and she was dealing them out with extreme prejudice, by the time it was all said and done she'd added another 6 peons to her body count. A few Marines were scattered about, assisting people in running for their damn lives, which was good because it honestly hadn't occurred to her that that might be a good idea.

The docks were not actually crawling with fishmen like Alice had suspected they would be and yet still dead bodies lay strewn about the walk like so many pieces of litter. She'd have cared more if she could empathize, but death was a part of life. With that in mind, she still wasn't going to stand for it. It wasnt exactly hard to see who were the likely culprits, but it was hard to believe that from a horde of fishmen only two were capable of all this death. There were two notably larger, scarier, chompy-er looking individuals. One had a head like a hammer, the other had its mouth perpetually open, it's teeth would oscillate unsettlingly every so often and it sent a disgusted shiver up Alice's spine. Fishmen were gross, and weird. Like... Why? What, how, and why were they created? Some looked ok, they made sense but then others were apparently a cookie cutter shark and looked like a terrible, painful mix of some deformed creature and a man. They were both covered in blood and before Alice arrived with how much of it was on their faces, she'd have pellet they were eating this evidence. It was enough to make her throw up, and it did. She bent over and heaved her lunch up there on the spot, getting the attention of the two cold blooded, cold blooded killers.

"Oi, Juju, ya reckon that lass'l taste any good?" The hammer head asked his abomination of a companion, who made a disturbing "Whurrrrr"-ing sound as a reply, earning a laugh from the hammer head."Yeh, you're right on the money there... But her thighs look about as tender as those milk sacks... Would make a good snack at least, right?" more Whurrrrring from the cookie cutter prompted the hammer head to slap his friend jovially on the back as he locked Alice over with a hungry grin. "Yer right! As always mate! All right chum, my name is Bask and this here is mah mate Juju. Because ya look like a nice shiela, we'll do you a favor... We'll kill ya, before we eat cha. Cuz we're feeling pretty noice right about now." Alice panted in place as she overcame her disgust at the situation. Unfortunately this wasn't just witty banter, these things were serious... They'd kill her... Then eat her... Assuming they weren't lying.

Still, Alice put on a brave face. "Chum... I-I get it... Cuz it means friend up here on land... But it also means shark food... It's funny. Because you're sharks... And you plan on eating me. I uhh... I'll give ya that one, it was pretty good... But to be fair, if I were to make idle threats like you, ya know, about making your teeth into a necklace or turning you into chowder... I don't think you'd really be alive long enough to appreciate the irony it all... CuzI'm going to tear your teeth out your skull and turn them into a fucking necklace... It's ironic because you'll be dead, and I can call it whatever I want. You ready to become tacky jewelry? "

And that's all it took. With a mighty leap towards her, Bask aimed to make good on his threat. Unfortunately, Alice was used to people getting upset when you called them tacky and just raised her leg up against her body and once his flat head was close enough she dropped it like a bomb on it, making it considerably flatter than it had been previously. His blood gushed out of his skull as Alice shattered it with the most powerful kick she had, a kick so powerful it made a crater in the dock. Keeping her eyes locked on the other shark, she flipped the hammer head over and moved his lifeless head around with her foot. "His teeth are actually too small to make a decent necklace from... That's pretty sad... Say! You wanna contribute? I'll even dedicate it to him. ' in loving memory of that one fish who was so pathetic, that he couldn't even be made into jewelry'. Then he can live on through you, and you can live on as piece of tacky jewelry! Everybody wins!"

"Juju"lery didn't like that idea, needless to say. He/she/it decided to honor his/her/its friend in his/she/its own way, by living his life just as he had. Unfortunately, that meant making all of his terrible decisions as well, which also meant committing suicide on Alice's foot. Reusing her attack from before would take a lot out of her, but she was a vain girl who'd do a lot for a souvenir necklace. Just like before, she lifted her leg straight up at a 180% angle and dropped it like it was hot onto the "Whurrrrring" face of Juju, who took it like a real champ, and died just as fast as his/her/its friend had.

Unfortunately though, the impact of the strike was quite intense, the dock was almost sunk into the ocean now. Not only that, but the force of the kicks had chipped a lot of Juju's teeth. Alice did mange too pull some loose ones out, sliding them into her pocket for later. She then crawled out of the pit she'd made and took a few moments to catch her breath. She'd never done two blockbusters in a row like that, and it was incredibly tiring. She took one last deep breath and moved along at her way, following the sounds of screams, however she soon stumbled a bit and fell next to a building. She was incredibly tired. She hadn't expected that affair to tire her out like it did. With a deep sigh she rested her head against the wall of the building and resolved to recharge for a short time. Just long enough until she could stabily walk again.

"Ugh, finally," Axel gasped as he got to the roof of the hotel building, which was about 70 meters up in the air, standing as one of the taller buildings definitely. The marksman pulled out his sniper from in between his red coat an back and made sure that it was ready to go. The magazine was full, and the scope was properly adjusted to small range since he would start with the fishmen snooping around this area. The marine stood near the edge of the building and pointed his gun downwards, looking right into the scope. At first he thought that targeting the fishmen on the flying fish was the best route to go, but they were too far out and moving too fast to do that, so he would have to wait until they got closer to the building. Near the door of the hotel, just a few meters in front of it, three fishmen surrounded a short big-boned man, arguing about who would get the most of his meat. Axel's barrel was aimed directly at the head of enemy closest to the door. "No food for you guys I suppose," Axel whispered to himself as he pulled the trigger. The bullet was launched at great speed and entered the top of the pirate's head, leaving from his jaw. Axel had to hold his breath to stay and get the next two right after that one, since taking too long would give them time to get away from the danger. He was successful in planting a bullet each in their heads the same way, so breathing heavily afterwards was well worth it. The innocent big man in question looked up, and couldn't see Axel from his angle, but waved up at whoever saved him. For a second he thought it was god gunning down the assailants with his heavenly sniper, but then the thought was too bizarre, even for a world with walking fish.

"Looks like we got a hero boys! Get him!" shouted a voice from above. 6 flying fish were flying around the top of the building, surrounding Axel. He looked above to see the amount of danger he was in, and see a flintlock pistol in the hand of each of the fishmen mounting the flying fish meant that the marine was in some deep shit. He threw the sniper to his side and ran towards the other side of the square-shaped roof, dodging the bullets that went passed him as he got out the revolver attached to his belt on his left hip. The magazine of the one on the opposite side was near empty, so Axel decided not to use it for this feat. While running he took aim at the flying fish nearest to him. It was moving quite fast, but the gunner was close enough to get a head shot and send it flying into the ground, 70 meters below them. The fishman mounting that one would either be in too much pain to move or be dead, since that was quite a drop. Axel then began running in a circle on top of the roof, dodge-rolling to avoid bullets while eventually shooting down the other five flying fish. He was scraped by two bullets, one grazing his left leg and the other grazing the left side of his stomach, but he held up, quickly bandaging the small wounds with wraps found in a first aid kit attached to his belt, with his free hand.

Two fishmen were able to jump onto the roof before the flying fish they were mounted on passed it on their way to the cold hard floor, one behind the marine and the other in front. Axel put his revolver back in it's holster and took out his shotgun. He wondered if he would be able to handle this with his wounds.

Alice
Alice had gotten a little rest. Not nearly enough to go flinging herself around like she usually did, definitely not enough to be doing that. But definitely enough to fight if she had to. The Marine would make her way through the streets, doing what she could to send people along safe paths. She could still hear screaming and she did her best to hurry toward the sound. Honestly in her condition she was surprised she still had the energy to run. As the screaming grew closer, or that is to say, Alice got closer to the screaming, she heard several more thunder cracks from where she guessed was West. Hopefully Red was all right, he'd been totally capable of handling goons but that guy only had so many bullets. There were a lot of fishmen up and about. Well... Were being the operative term. The streets as of right now were largely empty of living people. Lots of dead bodies, fishmen and not fishmen alike. They obviously weren't all gone, as Alice was still follow the echoes of various screaming noises but it was still definitely clearing up, almost as soon as they'd showed up. Marines that she passed were rushing around tending to the injured and Alice wished she could lend a hand. Many of them were busy moving bodies and making sure the creatures were dead. Alice however was getting much closer to the sound of screaming.

A group of fishmen were tearing at the rubble of a small shop. Or maybe it was a home. Alice couldn't tell, much of the building was collapsed. There was some screaming from inside and a group of 4 fishmen pulling at the rubble.

"Mmmmm you sound scruuuuumptious" one said while pulling at the bricks that were keeping these people trapped. His allies looked rather uninterested in what he was doing. Alice couldn't blame them. They were here to kill people, right? Not necessarily eat them? These people might likely die in that stuffy caved in building, but if this fishy fish fished to finish them, him and his friends had to spend more time here, waiting, for someone like Alice to come along and kick their teeth in.

Or she would, but as the sweat dripped down her body, she knew she was still pretty exhausted from that shark fight. Still, she couldn't let these people deal with these fish. They needed to get out of that building and for that to happen, these fish folk needed dealing with.

She took a deep breath and focused, channels her armament haki into her left leg. She might not be at full capacity, but Haki could definitely make up for that if she didn't push it.

"Hey, here's a question for you. Why do people call you fishmen? Clearly you can walk about on land without an issue, so you're definitely amphibious. Fish are not amphibious. That's why they're called fish. You could call yourselves the uh... The amphibimen! See? That's a much better name. Sounds cool, it's about as grammatically correct as these sorts of things can get!... You're welcome ~!" Alice would tease the group, easily getting them to rush her. She met the first with a right straight kick to the gut, when that only winded him, Alive quickly planted her Haki infused left foot on the back of his skull. The others seemed to learn from his mistakes and took her as a team.

One didn't survive the attempt to grab her legs, he got an armament haki kick to the face which easily removed his jagged nose and coincidentally enough lodged it in his head. The remaining two however easily used their comrades sacrifices to their advantage. One was able to restrain Alice pretty easily in her weakened state. His natural fishman strength took the girl to her knees as he kicked her legs out from underneath her. The other fishman smugly back handed her. She spit on the ground in front on herself and took the follow up hit to her eye like a pro. That was definitely gonna bruise up.

Still. She couldn't exactly let herself die here. With a surprising amount of strength she flipped the fishman restraining her over her shoulders into his friend. She quickly curb stomped the two of them with her Haki infused leg until both of them were bleeding a gooey fishy blood across the pavement. Alice dragged herself to the rubble blocking the exit of the building and delivered several Haki infused kicks to it. Eventually it gave way and the people inside had their way out.

Alice stuck with them, finding the nearest group of Marines she could. A shelter had been set up not far from them. It was really a god send for Alice who was able to finally get some place to rest up. She joined her fellow Marines in escorting the people to said shelter, and opted to remain behind to keep it safe. It was a good decision, because shortly after her arrival, gun shots could be heard outside the building they were now in. There was some shouting outside, coming from above them, but they were safe. Those Flying fishmen would need to go through the front door if they wanted in. Alice took the time to try and properly recharge for when they did.

The two fishmen advancing towards Axel from the front and back of him had a greatsword in their hand, just itching to split him open with the weapon, as yo could see from their anticipating facial expression. Their fighting style was quite slow then if that was the only weapon they ha on them, since those blades weigh quite a lot. Assuming these two criminals were as beginner as the others the marine shot down, they would leave many openings on their body after one swing. The fishman in front of him dashed towards him, insuring that he would get the first strike. He lifted the almighty blade above his shoulders and then slammmed it down, attempting to tear the gunner in two. With his impressive speed, the pirate assumed that it would be over after that since one of his allies already got him in his left leg, but Axel showed that a grazing wasn't gonna slow him down when his life was on the line. He dodge-rolled to the right, stood up and aimed the shotgun at the target, but he couldn't pull the  trigger yet since the same target immediately went for another strike, sending it to the left of him from the ground up in a diagonal slash since Axel didn't travel that far with his dodge. It made the young man jump backwards, but then that meant he was close to the second fishman who now too a horizontal swing at him. Axel ducked, and making sure he didn't miss his chance aimed his shotgun at his chest as fast as he could. The bullets that scattered from the shell that was launched at him all went into his chest, sending him flying off of the cliff and falling to his death. Axel immediately aimed the shotgun at the other fishman who was looking towards the direction in which his ally fell in disbelieve, too shocked to try and defend himself from a blast to the chest.

"Alright, that seems to be the rest of them within this area," Axel said to himself aloud as he decide to go back down the fire escape and head towards the screams he heard east of him. There weren't as many as a few minutes ago, which meant him, Alice and the marines stationed on this island probably took care of most of them.

Meanwhile, the flying fishmen raining down hell from above were running out of ammo for their long-ranged weapons, so they were forced to descend and get out their blades and clubs.

Alice was a mess. She was tired and beaten. Her weak panting from within the shelter was barely enough to lift her chest and will it with air. It was proving incredibly difficult to get her second wind and her Haki was about to run out. That kinda stray might just push her over the edge, knock her out cold. On top of all that, there were... What, three or four fishmen just waiting outside? She could barely handle those four from before, these guys were armed right? They had guns? Alice tried to take deeper breaths, relax more. She needed be at least half way to bad ass before she could fuck with those fish blasting at the building.

The survivors for what it was worth, didn't look too bad. A couple were injured, maybe in a severe sense but once again, Alice was no physician, no doctor. She had no way to tell if they'd make it through their wounds, but one thing was sure, they wouldn't make it through if those fishy flying fishmen were able to bust through that door before Alice got back to a decent strength.

She did still have her Haki coated foot. That'd do a lot of work if she could just get the strength to swing that leg around. All she needed was a good minute. Unfortunately, the sound of gunfire came to a stop. There was no sudden "thud" of flying fishmen hitting pavement so it was likely they were just out of ammo now. They'd be coming in soon, or at least trying. Alice began counting in her head, trying to focus and rest up. She needed to be ready to go soon, right now would be actually a decent time for that to happen.

The first of the flying fishmen to run his bullets dry tossed the gun against the building in anger. He was the first, but within the next few moments his comrades were out to. They descended to the ground and withdrew weapons if they had them, after a short struggle with the door they decided to just break it down.

Alive was waiting with a swift, Haki infused kick to the first fish she saw. She kicked him into his friends sword and thanked God for it. Spinning on her heel, she delivered another kick to the abdomen of a fishmen to her left. He staggered back and tripped, his head smashing against the ground. Bleeding, but not dead. Alice preformed a rather acrobatic back flip to land on the shoulders on the fish that had been on her right and locked her legs around his head. After a short struggle, Alice was able to snap his neck with a firm twist of her hips. Once the fishmen who'd had his friend fall on his blade removed said friend from said blade he charged Alice, madly swinging the blade.

Alice fell into a crouching stance and retaliated with a sweeping kick to his ankles. Once he'd fallen, Alice sprung into the air with a short hop and crushed his head between her Haki covered foot and the pavement. The last fishman regained himself and he too charged Alice. Fortunately she had enough in her to take him out with a spinning round house kick, bouncing 20 meters to meet the fish before he'd even expected it.

However, as that fishmen fell, so did Alice. She sank to her knees, tired beyond any and all reason. This had been her most exhausting experience ever. She sighed and shook her head. She wasn't going to be standing anytime soon. But from the lack of terrified screams, and abundance of triumphant cries of success, Alice would wager they'd managed to pull a win here.

Which was nice.

Axel's eyes followed the flying fishmen who were targeting a shelter set up by the marines. The young man was hopeful when they ran out of ammo, being forced to land on the ground and deal with the civilians within that building with melee weapons. Running down the streets of Briss Kingdom, Axel wasn't that far away from that shelter, and would go in with his guns that were all reloaded during his walk down the fire escape of the building he was previously on. A revolver was in his right hand, ready to pull the trigger on sight of an enemy. Once he turned the corner and found himself a few meters in front of the building, Axel aimed through the doorway only to find four fishmen laid out across the street, as well as an exhausted Alice. Her beautiful fit body was drenched in sweat, and she breathing heavily. She was on her knees at the moment, and it seemed that she exerted too much energy to be able to do much walking. Axel came up on her right side and stopped after only being 3 feet away from her.

"Do you need help there? You can come with me to the marine base. I think there is enough marines walking around taking care of the aftermath of this attack, so we shouldn't get in trouble for heading back. You need some rest anyway," Axel asked the girl. If she said yes, he would attempt to carry her across the city, and get her to a room on the base

Alice
Alice sat on her knees, admiring the sky as sweat cascaded off her body. The problem with being a leg reliant species was that you relied on your legs. For the simpler things in life, like walking or crawling. In theory, she COUKD probably drag herself around with her arms if her legs really weren't feeling uo to it, but she practiced Black Leg specifically because it avoided the use of her hands. She could chip a nail, or scratch her nail polish. That'd be almost as bad as fighting to such an extent that you were going to have a hard time walking for a bit.

Alice was about to begin shouting for any Marines nearby, but thankfully her unspoken prayer was answered in the form of a familiar voice at her back. Alice perked up at the sound and turned herself about as around as she could get without moving her weak knees.

"Red! Good to see you, was just about to call you actually, you have the most convenient way of showing up, don't you? Great, great..." she'd yammer on in a tired haze with a weak grin. "Base? As in like... A bed? Food? A bed? Yes, please!" Alice all but cheered, lifting her arms up as she lazily slumped onto her back, waving them gently at her ' partner'. "Could you be a toooootal beast and carry me? Thanks, love." she'd ask with a faux accent and gave a content sigh when he obliged her.
