Having acquired information from the random drug dealer he had encountered on the street, Sever was ready to head down to the wealthier side of town where he might be able to ascertain exactly which house it was that this “Young Miss” was staying in. He wasn’t exactly sure of how much help she could be, but her living in an extravagant manor was a good indicator that she knew how to operate a successful business. Sever wasn’t positive of what relationship he might have with her, but he hoped that he wouldn’t be forced to become antagonistic with her regardless of her status. For now, Sever merely wanted to ascertain what kind of threat she might be and, if necessary, make his presence known to her. So with that in mind he continued walking, having a good idea of the general direction he was going, he moved forward without hesitation, his strides long and purposeful. He continued like this until he reached the edge of the slums, where he was able to see the market district in sight.
Sever picked up his pace a bit, and was just about to come out into a clearing of the buildings when suddenly three thugs popped out of an alleyway from the darkness. Quickly they moved to surround him, and they didn’t look to be very friendly from their appearance. They were all rather muscular, but not overly so, just enough to overpower the weakest of the weak. Sever rolled his eyes at them as they looked menacingly towards him, obviously extremely confident in their victory. “Hey there, old man. You look like you’ve got some money on you, how bout you help us out a little?” The one in front of Sever asked, pulling out his pockets to reveal they were empty. The other two behind him chuckled, and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves quite thoroughly. Sever wasn’t too keen on being called an old man when he was only thirty four, and the sudden interruption from these men had quickly gotten on his nerves., As he stood, Sever had to question if it might be better to just draw his blade and be done with the nuisances. The world might certainly be better off without them, after all.
