Description: These Pirates have recently escaped the clutches of the Marines in Yotsuba Island and scrounged up a ship that should belong in a junkyard and not in open waters. They will attack the first non-marine ship they come upon and attempt to board it, hoping to take it for themselves. Defeat the pirates and plunder what little gold you can off their ship, or sink the ship entirely and forfeit the reward. Whichever you choose, be sure to leave the island quickly before the Marines come to investigate!
Enemy Details: 10 T1 Pirates. Their ship has 3 cannons, two on each side, one at the front. The ship itself has T3 durability

According to the map, they were nearing Yotsuba island. This island was completely filled with Marines and it wouldn't be easy for pirates like them to make Landfall. Not unless she pulled down her Jolly Roger long enough to stay incognito. It wasn't the kind of thing she enjoyed doing out of respect for her flag, but risking her crewmates freedom for the sake of pride wasn't something she could do either. Men did that a lot from what she saw so far... But then, it felt like they were gonna have worse things to worry about... Looking through her scope, Linnea saw a rugged boat with mean looking men, and instantly went over to swap out the Square sails for the lateen ones. It made it easier to manouver and dock the ship, but more importantly it made naval warfare a lot easier:

"Nicky, stay on your guard... I have a bad feeling about those guys...", she commented as she attached and unfurled the other sails, asking her crewmates for help. Between herself and Nicky - the strongest fighters in the crew - they could outmanouver and take down whoever attacked them.

But yet, Linnea kept narrowing her eyes at these guys... She didn't like how they sailed towards them, with a mean look in their eyes and no form of white flag to state they meant no harm... But when one of them moved towards the cannons she was sure! Without a second though, she yelled out to her crew mates and the passengers she was a giving a ride to:

"They're going to attack!! Everyone, man the cannons!!"


Ship rigged with Lateen sails now

Yotsuba Island. Another place with unfriendly people all eager to lock him up, or shoot him, or other terrible things to him. But, their captain had deemed this place their destination, and he wasn't one to argue. She at least was lowering the jolly roger so they didn't stand out like a sore thumb.

His captain wasn't the only one to see the ship sailing towards them. He nodded as Linnea warned him about the ship, and when she cried out for someone to man the cannons, Nicholas sprang into action. He wasn't that good at using cannons, so he would leave that to someone else. He had another idea for what to do. As the ship began to approach, Nicholas made a dash for the rigging, scrambling up the rigging to get some height. He was never one for ranged combat, so in order to help out, the navigator of the Uroboros Pirates would have to get in nice and close.

Once he was at the top of the rigging, he looked over to see the ship firing, the shot just missing the ship. Either these guys were terrible shots, or that was just a warning shot. Either way, they were going to regret that. Balancing himself, Nicholas triggered the Jet Dial on his leg and released the rigging. The burst of air pushed the navigator into the air, the extra height from the rigging gave him just the distance he needed. The men on the other ship watched in surprise as the man seemed to fly towards them, landing on the deck of their raggedy ship, the timbers splintering from the impact.

The navigator stood up, turning to the pirates with a smug grin. "Hey there boys. Want to play?"

another new place, another time where Mea is stuck under deck making medicines, being away from combat just like Linnea told her to and not to get into any trouble, which was Mea's plan from the very beginning so then she could stay alive long enough to become the best doctor and cure any illness or virus that plagued the world. being someone that was focused more on studying then anything else, Mea would be sitting at her desk, completely oblivious about the cannon shots and the action happening just a few feet above her and it wouldn't bother her as she was told not to get in to any conflict, and she wouldn't do that because it would make Linnea, her elder and big sister, very worried and mad.

the book she was reading was about the medical needs of animals and humans, which was quite similar to other books she read before starting her adventure with Linnea, Nicholas and the others. "the skeleton of the human body is a near match to the skeleton of the monkey and ape. they also share most of the same attributes and sickness, but differs in the fact that apes and monkeys have a better resistance to illness then humans, if we use our illnesses on them. humans and apes also share the same types of social and emotional behavior if they are induced or have a certain addiction to drugs or drinks. i got to write this down so then if i see anything similar to the illnesses a ape has in either Linnea or Nicholas, i can take immediate action to treating them with the proper medicine and use anti-bodies to also take the illness down. " Mea said to herself, making notes in her note book, still not hearing any of the battle above her or any shots from the cannons close to her office.

however, once Linnea had called everyone up to the deck, Mea would head up to the deck and go to the wheel and take control of the steering while reading the book she had just read in her mind to keep the knowledge in it and preserved it for the right time to use.

The first cannon missed thanks to these guys being awful shots, but even if it had hit, it probably wouldn't have dented the Melusine's Kairouseki reinforced hull. It took rather resilient cannonballs to pierce through this armor, or perhaps just a whole lot of them, but for now it didn't matter. One of their cannons was unable to fire due to being outside its angle, so this left only one cannon capable of shooting, the one at their ship's prow... And Linnea was a far better shot than any of these pirates. Reaching to her the first loaded cannon, she took aim, lit the fuse, and fired! She covered her ears against the deafening boom, whatching as the lead ball whizzed through the air and finally blew through the prow of the pirate's ship, obliterating the cannon, the pirate manning it, and another other pirates courtesy of the wooden splinters. A few more were injured, but they could still fight, even if they now had to divide their attention between Nicky and Linnea's cannons.

"Steady Mea..! Keep us sailing in a circle around their ship, try to get us a bit closer!", Linnea called out as she moved to her other cannon on the port side. This one had been loaded with ball and chain ammo, meant to be aimed at masts and sails in order to cripple ships.

She would destroy what little mast these pirates' wreck of a ship yet had, board them, and steal whatever they had. It was probably not much but they wouldn't get away with attacking her crew! Narrowing her eyes at the enemies, Lin took aim at the mast, waiting for Mea to bring the Melusine closer. The ball and chain ammo had shorter range, so she had to aim it from up close. As soon as Mea brough the ship within range, she lit the fuse and covered her ears once more, watching as the chain ripped through the enemy pirates' sail before completely bisecting their main mast, completely crippling the ship. It was little more than a nutshell adrift. She took care not to let the mast fall onto Nicky, but even then it still fell onto yet another pirate and the cannon he was manning. They now had plenty of room to apporach and board their ship.

"Mea, get us close to their disarmed side, I'll use the broken mast to board their ship!"

The pirates seemed to swarm on Nicholas as soon as he had boarded. At least, what pirates weren't manning the cannons. Not that it bothered him. Judging from their ragging clothing (which he identified as what once was a prison uniform), he could guess that these guys had just gotten out of prison. And if they had been in there for a while, they were most likely a little sluggish when it came to fighting. Unfortunately for them, Nicholas was at the top of his game.

As the pirates closed in, Linnea's cannon fired, taking apart one of their own,and two of their men. As they stopped, momentarily distracted, Nicholas brought out the Flame Dial and clicked. A jet of flame emerged from the shell, catching two of the pirates who were within range. The two men fell to the floor, screaming and trying to put themselves out. The others backed away, not wanting to get burned. It would take a bit for the Dial to recharge anyway, but better to have them believe otherwise.

"Aw, what's wrong?" Nicholas chuckled, "Don't want to play? That's a shame, because I do!" Nicholas charged forward towards the nearest pirate, lashing out with a kick. As he did so, he triggered the Axe Dial attached to his leg, adding a sharp blade of air into the pirate as the blow connected. Blood flew as the pirate cried out, falling to the ground, just in time for Linnea's second shot to bring down the mast. Things were unravelling very fast for their attackers. Nicholas laughed. "Come join the party!" he called out to Linnea, "There's plenty of fun for everyone!

Continuing to steer the ship in a circular movement around the enemy ship, Mea was getting a little too excited and wanted to help out a little more then just keep the melusine in the pattern that Linnea had ordered Mea to take but she wasn't about to break the chain of command and ignore a command, but instead make sure she did it good enough that Linnea wouldn't need to worry about her and then she could focus on taking note of the foes weaknesses and inform Linnea about it if she didn't know them already. "Got it captain! getting towards the disarmed part of the ship should be easier then putting a bandage on to a tiny cut on the finger! " Mea said in a very excited tone before turning the ship towards the other pirate ship's disarmed side and keeping the ship a good distance from it to ensure that Linnea could do what she planned to do.

"Disarmed side of enemy ship is on the left, please try not to get hurt otherwise i will have to do a little bit of surgery on you to get the bullets out of you if you get shot or sew your parts back together if you get slashed by swords. enjoy you day blundering while i play with the enemy. hehe... have fun! " Mea said in a very cheery and excite tone, not bothered by the cannon fire or the men shooting their guns or attacking the crew, as she giggled and had her nails become sharp and long, thanks to her devil fruit, ready to counter and block any swords or bullets aimed at her.

Passive ability:

With the cannons disabled, everything became a hell of a lot easier. Mea steered the ship as per Linnea's instructions, so all she had to do was grab her bow and arrows, step one foot onto the ship's border and take aim. Nicky was doing his best to keep all of these guys busy, good thing they had no ranged weapons aside from their cannons and they couldn't fire the only cannon they had left. One pirate attempted to blindside Nicky while he fought off the remaining ones, so Lin just did what she did best: Catching him with an arrow.

"Good enough for a workout i guess.", Linnea immediately jumped onto the broken mast, boarding the rugged ship before chuckling at her playful navigator, "I just hope there's something here worth taking."

The projectile whizzed through the air and stuck the pirate in the chest. She wouldn't even need Kenbunshoku Haki for any of this, these guys were weak, poorly armed, and had nowhere to hide. She finally activated her Kenbunshoku Haki to watch her own back as she addressed her doctor:

"No need for you to fight Mea-chan.", reassured Linnea with a smile, "These guys can't even make us break a sweat."

As she said this she quickly loaded another arrow and took aim at yet another pirate, pivoting on her foot to shoot the guy in the chest as it attempted to strike her from behind... There were only two pirates left, both running towards Nicky. She figured he could handle these last two since they were so eager to come at him. In the meantime, she just looted what gold these pirates had stolen alongside the ship, not expected to find much else in here...

Eight pirates down, only two left, and it looks like it was his responsibility to finish them. Either that, or they really didn't want to go against the girl with the bow. Didn't matter. They had one this little fight. All that was really left was to take out the trash.

The two remaining pirates attacked him, being surprisingly careful not to hit each other or get in each other's way. Nicholas jumped back to avoid the attacks, reaching into his coat and pulling out the only dial he had left that wasn't currently empty. His Impact Dial. He looked at the pirates in front of him, then at the dial in his hand. "Seems a bit of a waste really," he murmured, before an idea struck him. He began shifting around, the pirates trying to follow him. They didn't seem to realize what Nicholas was doing and before long, Nicholas had positioned them with their backs to the ship's railing. Nicholas smiled and rose a hand towards them. "Well? You coming to get me or what?"

One of the pirates growled and charged towards him. As he closed in, Nicholas swung his hand towards them. It happened almost instantly. The blast from the Impact Dial sent Nicholas reeling back, but it was more than enough to knock the pirate back, sending him crashing into his partner. As they fell against the railing, the rotten wood gave way, sending the pair of them falling into the ocean below.

Anton stood there for a moment, his arm throbbing from the recoil. That dial had a hell of a kick to it. He looked over to see Linnea clearing up the pirate's gold, and a smile spread across Nicholas' face. "The ship's clear M'lady."

hearing the news of not having to fight, Mea would retract her syringe finger nails and sigh as she really wanted to prove herself as a fighter but she couldn't deny a direct order from the captain and would hum to herself and have less of a care of what to do and would notice the amount of pirates that was raiding and the amount now was drastically reduced to a puny two until Nicholas had taken the rest down with a impact dial, a dial with a bad reaction for the user when they release all the impacts that the dial took, a part of the impact getting taken by the user of the dial.

as soon as Mea noticed the reaction from the dial, Mea went into doctor mode and immediately go over to Nicholas and analyses the damage that the impact dial had given to him. "little bit of fractures in the arm and shoulder, a small bit of vibration from the impact and a large amount of pain being taken. nothing a good old wrapping of bandages can't fix and maybe a small shot of pain relieving serum." Mea said in a very kind and reassuring tone, getting out her roll of bandages and wrapping it over Nicholas's arm before getting the needle with the pain relief serum and inject it into his arm. Mea would then head back down to her office, take a book at random from her book shelf and read it to take more information about medicine and become a better doctor
