It was afternoon at Shimotsuki Village. The calm blue sky was beginning to fill up with menacing gray clouds, indicating that there was a storm approaching. People were still out and about, enjoying the day before the storm could kick in while some were collecting supplies as they believed that this was going to be severe.

Marcel was walking amongst these people with a little girl above him. She had her legs resting on each of his shoulder and hands resting at the top of his head while wearing a big enough coat to keep her warm. Marcel was entrusted with the task of taking care of this ill little girl until her parents got back but had no choice but to take her with him to gather supplies since the little girl's parents neglected to buy any essentials before they left.

"How much longer is this going to take, Nii-San?" the little girl asked her temporary guardian before coughing a little. "It shouldn't take much longer. Don't worry." Marcel responded as he tried to look up to her to give her a calm reassuring smile. Marcel absolutely hated this and believed that this went against everything a doctor stood for. Having one of his sick patients out in the open exposed like this. Sure she was wearing a coat but it was still very dangerous.

Marcel stopped by a few stands, collecting various essentials and food. He even got the girl a few toys to play with to help her feel better. One of the toys was a white cat plushy with a gold bell around it's neck. Marcel held it up to the girl so she could grab it. The little girl began to shake it a little so that the bell could ring, causing her to giggle. A small smile grew on Marcel's face from hearing the giggle. That innocent sound coming from a sick body was reassuring to the medical samurai, it meant that she was still doing okay despite her current condition.

Before he could walk off, Marcel overheard some people talking about the storm that was approaching. "Yeah, judging by the clouds I'd say it wouldn't be too long until that storm sets in." one person said. "Seems like it's going to be quite the fierce one as well." another person added. Marcel then looked up to the sky, noticing that the clouds have completely blocked out the peaceful blue sky and bright sun. Only a gray, menacing wall filled the heavens at this point.

"We're going home now." Marcel said to the little girl who then rejoiced, holding her arms up into the, causing the bell on her little cat toy to ring again. "You should really hold on. My arms aren't free at the moment." Marcel said to the girl with a small smile on his face. His hands were full with bags that were filled with various things that he came out to buy. The little girl nodded and held on tight to her doctor. as they proceeded to head back to the house.

They had just made it to the front of the door where a single drop of water has made it's way to Marcel's forehead. The faint sound of thunder roaring in the distance caused he little girl to hold onto Marcel's head tight. He then set down one of the bags so he could unlock and open the door. After the door was open, Marcel picked up the bag and walked in, closing the door and taking their shoes off in the process. It was a medium, two floor house. The entrance held the living room with a kitchen on the other side. Upstairs had two bedrooms, one for the parents and the other for the girl. The house appeared to have a combination of modern and traditional Japanese style.

Marcel had set the girl down on the couch in the living room, placing a blanket around her and went into the kitchen to prepare some soup. He then walked back in and placed the soup on the small square table surrounded by a pillow on each side. Marcel then placed the girl onto one of the pillows and gave her a spoon. Marcel then sat on the pillow closest to her and began to eat some Japanese rice balls that he had. "Nii-San, are you really a doctor?" the girl asked Marcel before taking a sip of her soup. Marcel then looked to her with a rice ball in his mouth and nodded. The girl giggled a little before saying, "But, why do you have that?" she asked as she pointed at Marcel's sheathed katana. Marcel swallowed the food and looked down at his weapon before looking to the girl. "I am also a samurai." he responded with another nod. This caused the girl to tilt her head a little. "But, my papa said medicine and combat never mixes together." This comment caused Marcel to stop in mid bite. He then looked to the girl before looking forward, placing his food down on his plate. All he could hear now was his father calling him a disgrace to all samurai.

It was night and the rain was falling hard. Lightning briefly illuminated the dark rooms of the house after being followed up by thunder. It was amazing that the girl was able to sleep through this despite her being scared. Her illness seemed to have went down a little as well which was good. Marcel smiled as he watched the girl cuddle her new cat toy as she slept. Such a peaceful sight could warm up even the most savage of hearts. Before he could rest his hand against the little girl's head, Marcel heard something odd downstairs. This sound didn't add up with the storm at all. It sounded like the door was slowly opening. It couldn't have been the parents because they weren't due back yet. Marcel looked around the room and found the little girl's earmuffs. He then gently placed them over her ears before resting one of his hands on the hilt of his katana, making his way out of the room and downstairs.

Marcel peeked down and noticed five figures in full black coming from the open door. They began to knock things over, looking for stuff to take for themselves. Why would people decide to rob a house during a storm is beyond Marcel but he simply shrugged it off and slowly walked down the stairs. One of the robbers turned around to see Marcel descending towards them. He alerted his partners who all turned to face him. They all smirked and clenched their fists, feeling pretty confident about themselves. The fools didn't even bring weapons but they could obviously see that he was armed.

One of the robbers charged at Marcel who quickly reacted by unsheathing his blade, holding it out forward as the foolish robber ran straight into it, stomach first. Marcel then kicked the robber off of his blade and dashed towards two of the remaining four robbers. One of them tried to throw a punch only for it to be simply dodged as Marcel spun around the robber and sliced his head clean off. Marcel then quickly elbowed the other robber in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him before turning around to slice his neck. One of the remaining two robbers picked up a vase and attempted to smash it on Marcel's head only to have it get caught by Marcel's free hand. Marcel the proceeded to stab his katana through the bottom of the robber's chin where it will come out from the back of his head. Marcel then pulled it out and turned to the remaining robber who was cowering in a corner.

"Do you idiots have any sense? Trying to steal from an innocent family with a sick little girl. Living is the last thing you deserve." Marcel said to the panicking robber with a cold look on his face. He then rose the katana up in the air and dove it down blade first, impaling the robber's neck.

Marcel sighed as he slowly took the blade out. He inspected the blood on his katana and pulled out a cloth to clean it up. He then sheathed it while looking around at the mess of blood, bodies, and scattered furniture. Marcel let out another sigh as he knew he was going to have to clean this up first starting with the bodies, dragging them outside to someplace unknown.

It was the next day and the parents had come home to a clean and tidy house, with no signs of a struggle. The little girl has made a full recovery as well which brought a warm smile to the parent's face. The parents then paid the samurai for his troubles and waved him off. The little girl waved him off as well with a bright smile on her face as she held onto her new toy tight. Marcel turned around and smiled at the family before turning back towards the front.
